ABSOLUTELY RIP OFF!!! Charged my daughter and INSANE $185 for a 2.5 mile tow for a 4 door sedan!!! USE ARC TOWING, Castillo Towing and Lakeland Wrecker, All Competitors were 1/2 ONE HALF of what they charged!! She learned a hard life lesson for her first towing expense. She unfortunately called the WRONG ONE first.

I felt very comfortable doing business at Grooms I was having a brake problem on my trailer along with a reefer problem they do excellent work and they are HONEST which as a trucker was a breath of fresh air and greatly appreciated I would highly recommend this business

We had a good experience with Crooms. They towed a 1962 GM Greyhound bus for us (about an hour away, and got it out of a really tough spot) and replaced the clutch in it. The shop couldnt figure out how to fix the shifter in it (its not a common fix) and the owner pointed me to another shop that would be able to fix it, and towed our bus for free since they werent able to fix it. Great shop, I would recommend them for anyone in the area.

Do not go to this place. Was told that they do all work to reefer units only to be charged $635 just to be told that they cannot work on trailer. Typical shop that has no class. Beware you will be screwed out of time and money!!!!! ONLY GAVE ONE BECAUSE IT IS MANDITORY TO LEAVE REVIEW!!!

Once our RV towing service finally assigned Crooms to tow our Class A RV Diesel pusher, the driver was on-site within 15 minutes and hooked up the RV and had it delivered to the service place within 20 minutes. The driver was very professional and efficient and I would highly recommend Crooms for this type of service.

I had a leaky axle seal that needed to be repaired and an airbag that needed to be replaced. It was fixed at their shop after hours by a mechanic named Ronnie. I’m very pleased with his workmanship and the way Crooms said “we will get it fixed so you can p/u a load at 8am the next morning” Great doing business with them.

Our motorhome brakes wouldnt release after stopping in a gas station lot in Lakeland FL to let our dog out. Cole from Crooms arrived in a very reasonable amount of time and found a strange problem (tie wrap inside bake drum--melted) and worked very hard on it for hours. He then called for relief (after beating on drum for hours in extreme heat and Ronnie came to assist). The two of them were great and hung in with us for about 5-6 hours. They also had a brake pad and a new drum on a SUNDAY. I highly recommend Crooms! Thanks Cole and Ronnie!

So I work for a trucking. Company came to lake land fl to get a truck come to find out that this truck had dead batterys so Crooms came out with in an hour and put all 4 new batterys in the truck as I was finishing my PTI I noticed my 5th wheel wouldnt lock and my front breaks were down past dot specs so crooms came back out to see of he was able to fix the 5th wheel which he found something bent that not letting it lock properly then he looks at the front breaks as I was pushing them to see what the noise is so then we bought it to there shop for them to fix it instead of fixing it in a field that was all wet and muddy and I have to say Mr. Ronnie is the most helpful person ever he made sure I got to a hotel room safely and made sure I was able to check in before he left the hotel to make sure I didnt get stranded I tip my hat to mr.ronnie

I drive a tractor-trailer. Yesterday I got stuck in some mud around 3am. I called Crooms. A Tow-Truck operator named Shane arrived quickly and got me unstuck even quicker It was a reasonable price as well.

We were pleased with the quick response (we had a suspension failure in our RV and needed a welder to repair the hanger that holds the leaf spring to the frame.) we were also pleased with the hourly rate, much lower than a mobile RV tech that we also contacted. And we were very happy with the work done by the repairman/welder, very thorough. However, after 4 hrs of prepping, he began the weld only to have his weld machine breakdown. After spending an hour trying to get it to work, he contacted (with our phone, his didn’t have service in our remote location) the company only to learn he would have to drive his truck to the shop and drive back with another truck, instead of someone coming out there with the truck. 3 hrs later, he was back in business. A 5 hr job turned into an 8 hr job and he wanted to charge us for all those hours. I put my foot down on that one and paid him 6 hrs. It just seemed as if this guy was left hanging while his company was negligible in equipment maintenance as well as not providing a professional protocol for him to follow. “We screwed up, inconvenienced you, so we’ll charge you the estimated price which was 4 hrs.” Now that would be 5-star costumer service.

Thank you for getting our trailer delivered on time and saving the day when another local shop mislead us and caused a late delivery.Keep up the good work, we will be sure to call again!

Really nice helpful people. They were straight forward about price and time only took 30 minutes which isnt long considering it was out of the blue on a weekday afternoon. I thought it was going to cost waaay more and take waaay longer but it didnt.

Called Crooms for a last minute DOT inspection of a fleet of 6 trucks. They were the only company not only willing to do it, but also willing to come out of their way to my location. They were incredibly patient with me and sent a very professional and very friendly person to do it.They did the inspections in less than 2 hours, which for 6 trucks is very fast for all they have to do.We recommend Crooms to anybody at any time! We will use your services again, and are very thankful for your excellent work and customer service!!

The guy comes out like he knows what’s his doing. In the end he and his boss tells me I have a bad fuel pump.guess what all I did blow air in the tank and the truck runs perfect.never call them again that’s 100%.

I had to call on 11/6 and the Dispatcher and Drivers I worked with were awesome. It was an odd case, but all the men helped me and made a stressful night, just a little better. I appreciate their help more than they know! Hands down Crooms is who I would deal with in the future, and recommend

OMG VERY DISRESPECTFUL SERVICE!!!!As I tried explaining to whom ever operator assisting me over the phone, he answered “what do you want from me, you are the one who got your self in this mess this late evening on a Sunday so therefore I am going to charge you from how ever I feel is necessary.” Then he hung the phone up on me. My family and I were stranded for hours on I-4 because everyone was closed or far. It took High Way Patrol to assist us causing a scenery that could have been avoided through simple communication. PLEASE DO NOT USE CROME FLEET SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most honest tow truck company Ive ever spoken to. I ended up going through my insurance companys service but the gentleman I spoke to gave me the lowest quote out of all the other normal towing companies. If I ever need a tow when in their area I will definitely use crooms.

Unfortunately can’t say I had a good experience at all... sucks mechanics all seem really nice too. But I brought in unit for reefer work for high coolant temp.Was told I should change water pump and thermostat... it didn’t fix it at all then I mentioned I saw white smoke coming out of exhaust unit was pressure tested and as I was thinking when I saw the white smoke it’s likely a blown head gasket.Unfortunately spent $600-$700 for completely nothingAlso on top of that after i had them install a door hinge on my trailer not even thinking what happened next was possible... after install I was then told by owner it was $200-$300 labor only to change one single door hinge that cost $15 (extra) and 15 mins to change.Beware the owner at least doesn’t seem to care about anyone and how his actions and insane prices can hurt people, it could get very costly for you too. Every single mechanic I talk to was nice though.

Called them to transfer my vehicle from Lakeland to Orlando, price was fair and the Service was outstanding. Once arriving I needed to push my vehicle in a garage and the driver assisted me which worked out perfect bc I wouldnt have been able to it myself, the guy I worked with was very knowledgeable and stayed until it was fully inside the garage. Contacted them on short notice, they arrived quickly, the services they completed was above and beyond. Thank you for the great experience.

$350 to unplug 2 wires and the man had to get on YouTube to educate himself on how to do it and I guess I had to pay for his Education... If there was a negative star thats what I would give him

The services and the technician that came out to work on my truck was excellent. They came out twice and only charged me for the service they did on my truck the second time out. They were great!!!

Owner is dishonest. He quoted us a price to haul a trailer and when it was delivered, he increased the price by 1/3. As a business owner and a decent human, I know the importance of keeping ones word. I will never use this company again and caution you to think twice before using.

Great service excellent tow operators. They were fast punctual and extremely professional 10 out of five stars!!!!

We broke down on the Florida Turnpike north of Yehaw Junction. Crooms came 88 miles to rescue us. Shane was great and got us hooked up and underway quickly. The service didnt end there. Back at the base, technician Josh diagnosed the problem and had parts to fix us on order before Shane had us off the tow rig. At 7 pm, Crooms sent a runner to pick up the parts from OReillys warehouse. By 8 pm we where back in business and on our way. In my book, they deserve 10 stars and provide outstanding service.

I rented a truck and a car dolly from Penske. I was trying to load my car on the dolly and my tires went off the edge of the dolly. STEPPS towing came out after I waited for them from 6am until 9:15am and they didnt help me. Joyce Automotive was contacted and they never showed up. Shane from Crooms came assessed the situation and within 15 minutes came up with a plan and got my car back on the dolly with no damage and he make sure my car was hooked up right before leaving. If you needed any tows please use CROOMS.

Biggest scammers and manager’s level of IQ at zero.Family member’s car was impounded by polk county sheriff. Went to pick it up on Friday at 12 PM. Presented a passport and was told that he needed a “government ID” to take possession of the car(first hint of the manager’s intelligence level). Family member was sent and went to the DMV (without telling me) and spent 3 hours at the line to be told that ID were not issued on the spot. I called my family member to check if he has the car already and he explained what he was told at crooms. Immediately called Crooms to understand why a US passport is not considered an ID under their special eyes. Manager’s answer is “Well listen buddy, I don’t have to explain to you anything because you’re not the car’s owner, but let me tell you. We have to follow rules and our regulation with the sheriff department states that a government ID has to be present” I go on to tell him that a passport is a government issued ID. He goes well, its not issued in Florida. (Dude, so if I show you a drivers license from Georgia you would also decline it?). I noticed that arguing with this individual will take me nowhere I hung up and call the sheriff so that someone can make this dude understand that a passport is a dam valid ID.Finally someone from the sheriff department calls the manager and educate him on the ID situation. I call back and the manager tells me that he only accepts cash. (Tax evasion?) I ask why and he gives me this explanation that people have done charge backs in their credit card ( pro tip, take picture of the ID as proof of payment incase someone does a charge back you can fight it, but we all know this. You’re just avoiding tax).Bank its closed now and can’t make it to the bank, its Friday. Manager tells me that any pick up in the weekend cost an extra $50.00 dollars. (I believe this was their whole intention since the beginning ). Manager refuse to not charge the extra $50.00 even after they messed up and waste family member’s time by not accepting the initial form of ID presented.Moral of the story? Dont do business with Crooms. In my case family member had no choice but I hope this review is read by the sheriff department and stop using them to impound cars.

Crooms has one of the fastest response times around and are very knowledgeable and freindly. When I was in my accident they were there just after the sheriff and about 30 minutes before the other tow truck showed up .

The people were very friendly I have no complaints about that... I live in Hillsborough County!!!! $700.00 dollars that I had to pay to get my car out, that,s where my complaint! Polk County would have and will always be guilty of the sin greed.

I called for an estimate on a water pump on a MX13 Paccar was given an estimate of 1472.00 . The pump is 418.00 my price without an account. The labor is 11/2 hours how does that come to this price. Stay away they are a bunch of thieves.

Companies website says they take credit cards they DONT we had to travel an hour to get to a bank to get the cash. The invoiced one thing and when upon arrival decided it wasnt charged correctly and added another $210.00 on top of the other bill. I dont see any of the shops that are pictured on the web page nor do I see the equipment that is pictured as well. Very rude if you ask questions.

The worst place I ever stopped at they have two owners and right hands dont know what left hand doing they way over price the service plus they did not fix any problem we use to have light not working at certain speed now its not working at all I please record the conversation when you talking to them because they will denied I dint recommend to fix your truck at this location
