This place took care of me very quickly since I was on my way out of town for work. Chris could tell I was in a rush so I didnt have to miss work since its hard for everyone during this pandemic. They didnt over charge me and recommended what needed to be done at time. They changed my flat tire, made an alignment, and made some minor fixes to make sure I was driving safe. Will definitely come here again!
Ive done business with firestone for years, and when i have an emergency they were to busy to fit me in. All i needed was a patch done on one tire before i left for vacation the next day. I understand that your booked, but when a repeat customer really needs you, its time to make it happen. Who else would i call last minute except for the people that ive done business with? I guess its time to start looking for another place for tires.
They are always so cool. I get my alignment done there all the time when I need it and there is never a problem with it its quick just make sure you have appointment ahead of time and you will be all set.
Waisted my time they mess up my appointment
As far as Im concerned breakstone has the best tires for safety that you can put on your vehicle as a share ride driver I need the best tires possible safety being number one
When you dont know much about cars, its important to get work done from a company you trust. A little thing I needed was even fixed for free one time.
Not bad they fixed two tires, the worst part is waiting so long. I hope they can improved that. Their prices not very economic. I got to add this they told me that i have 3 bad and 1 good tires. well i believed them and after 3 days my vehicle turn on a light on the dashboard a tire was low air thats the one supposedly was the only good one. Now i need to fix that problem when i couldve it done at that moment.
Wonderful owners! They do top quality work and extremely fair pricing.
Ive been going here for 13 years, good people, good work, always honor their tire warranty stuff. I normally go here after car warranty stuff expires. Their mechanics are good. Ive never been oversold anything here. If you have certain miles on the car, their system will tell you what they recommend - you choose if you want it done. Theyve worked on 5 personal cars and 4 company cars....I keep going back.
Been a loyal customer for 20+ years. Have seen several management teams come and go. Currently, Emerson and Kevin run the show. At first I was skeptical, but can say, without a doubt, that they are the best team Ive experienced. Both of them are knowledgeable, take the time to explain the repair needed, treat your repair as if they were working on their own car, at a very fair price. I would send my 80 year old Mom in there and feel very comfortable that she would be treat respectfully and fairly. If you are looking for a LONG TERM service center, look no further....
Staff is so kind at this location. Top notch people for sure. Kevin is always super helpful. I am average on my knowledge of cars and he never makes me feel like Im your typical women, explains everything in great detail.
Manager Kevin Murphy and his staff are great! They always do their best to get you in and out as quickly as possible while getting your car serviced completely at a fair price. Best Firestone store in the NW suburbs!
I needed a new tire to replace one that was damaged by a nail. Told them that i wanted the exact same tire (brand and size). They replaced the tire with a cheaper economy brand without telling me. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company after they refused to offer any kind of fix. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!
The Manager Chris provides his auto expertise, effective communication and personalized customer service. My car runs great and I will continue to return to Firestone in Lake Zurich for Chris auto services. Thanks for your help!
Slow, slow slow. Brought my car in for tire balancing. Took them almost 2 hours!! My regular tire dealer takes 1/2 hour. They told me that the store manager had to do the balancing, and he was busy. Say whaat?? Techs dont know how to run a spin balancer? And then I found out during the ride home that they balanced the tires OK, but over-tightened the wheel lugs and torqued one of the brake rotors. Now I have a shimmy whenever I brake. Will not return to this dealer, would not recommend to others.
On 10-1-17 on a Sunday morning when I brought my car into this location, I was amazed by the professionalism and courtesy extended to me. Robert was a Stellar Experienced Service Representative who really cared about my problem and was detailed, experienced, knowledgeable and concerned about my problem. He was my go to person who did it all so that when I left I was thoroughly surprised by the quality of service I received at this location. Although I did not meet the actual technician who worked on my car, I know that it was handled effectively and efficiently and my time at this location exceeded my expectations.
No appointment but took me right away.Fast efficient and great job.I highly recommend this location.Been using them for 15 years Always satisfied.
Always good service, Only place around my house that I trust to do an alignment on my cars. Along with mounting tires. Im extremely picky about automotive work considering I can do most of it myself (except of course alignment and mounting tires) and they do it well and professional and are very accommodating regarding scheduling.
The Lake Zurich Firestone provides excellent customer service, honest work, at fair prices! Thank you!
I had an appointment at 3 and they didnt even start working on my car until 4:15 so not really sure why they recommended an appointment to me on the phone earlier in the day. Then they told me they could only fix my tire if I bought a brand new one even though my tire was already pretty new. I didnt really have a choice because I could barely drive it there so I had to buy it. 100% they were taking advantage of the fact that Im young because they only started working on my car after I stood up for myself and said something. Would highly recommend going anywhere else. If I could give negative stars I would but Im forced to put 1.
Excellent service.Put tires on my 79 Corvette. They did an excellent job.
Firestone in LZ is amazing! I live in McHenry and I still go to lake Zurich! Sam is an amazing employee and was so helpful! I will always go back there!
I spent $1600 on a complete brake job at this location. The car has the type of wheels that allow you to see the brake assembly. The brake components are completely rusted and look terrible. I spoke to the manager and he said, They all do that. The car looks awful and I suspect they used cheap replacement parts. I wont be returning to Firestone. Very disappointed in parts quality and the managers total dismissal of my complaint.
All good guys!
Rob and the tech were a pleasure to deal with. I had new front tires installed and a oil change done on my 2007 Toyota Sienna LE. They stayed late to finish the job and recommended that my front and rear brakes need replacing. I would highly recommend this shop to everyone.. Thanks Rob and tech for the awesome customer service.. A++++
The staff was very helpful. I didnt have an appointment yet they were still able to help me. They diagnosed my problem in very short time. Great place.
I had a license plate screw head break and wanted all 4 replaced. I was told it could be quick, but could be up to an hour labor. I decided to have it done and dropped it off for that and an oil change. After 20 minutes the service writer called me and told me the screws were out and they could not find the new license plate. I explained that I didnt have new plates and just wanted the screws replace as they were rusting and staining the white paint on my wifes car. When I returned to pick up the car, I was charges $146 to replace the screws. I questioned the service writer and reminded him he called me after 20 minutes and told me they were all removed. He denied saying that and insisted they spent a long time replacing 1 broken screw and unscrewing the other 3. I asked to speak with the manager and he said I would have to call the next day. I did and the manager insisted they spent that much time on the vehicle. I reminded him that I was called 20 minutes after dropping off the car and was told they were removed. He ended giving me full credit, but informed me to never return as they will not do work for me again. As the service writer lied to my face, I would never bring it back for anything. I could never trust this business again.
Great service. Staff went over all my options and helped me make a decision on weekday tires would be best for me.Im revising my review because during my visit my ipod was stolen out of my car. Im sure they found it while going through my car locking for my wheel lock which they had no business doing. They should have asked me instead of going through my vehicle.
When I brought my wifes van in for an oil change, the manager and the tech pointed out a damaged boot under the car. They said they could not repair just the boot. The had to replace the entire tire rod. The cost $1089.I dont know everything about cars, but I had a feeling this just didnt seem right. I took the van to a couple different shops for another opinion. They both offered to replace the boot. The cost $70 including the part. Suburban Auto in Wheeling did a great job.I saved myself over $1,000 by NOT using this shop.
They aways have been honest with any repairs I needed. Also they fix it right the first time. I never needed to go back after a repair.
Great people! I was in and out in under an hour with a fixed tire. Thanks!
Took 2 differant cars here for diagnostic check.Neither car was running.First car, charge $99.00 to tell me they couldnt solve problem because of no code reading on main computer. No other attempt was made to diagnose problem.Towed to my house and worry about it later.2nd car, same problem, started sometimes, wouldnt start at times.Towed to their shop, told them what I thought could be the problem, again,no code, checked my charging system, told me nothing wrong.Another couple hundred dollars.3rd time, towed there, asked service manager try starting and tell mechanic what he thought,no,code,no engine light,AGAIN checked charging system, another bill and given an estimate on fuel pump replacement.Told me it COULD be the problem but not sure.So I guess its on me that I actually visited this shop 3 times with nothing but bills and no service.I HAD to leave 1 star to post,my way,,,NO STARS.Took the car same day to Goodyear down the street and 30 mins told me my fuel pump was bad,%100.No ifs ands and buts, they did a pressure test and end of day car ran like new.Had other repairs done also and could have charged me for extra parts but didnt.Goodyear has my business and word of mouth and internet is powerful.Moral of story,if your computer doesnt tell these mechanics what to do,they dont know how to diagnose.
Had quite a bad experience here. My fiance brought in his car for an alignment, and not only could they not align it, but the camber and castor nuts are off their threads! My fiance specifically told them beforehand not to even bother messing with the camber because he knows the camber is messed up on his car. So not only did they spend over an hour messing with it, but they messed it up far worse than it was originally. Thats another thing, we brought it in at 3:45 for a 4pm appointment and didnt get it back until an hour after they closed.Basically our car is now worse off than it was before, and if we werent car people who couldnt recognize this problem, we would probably have gone around driving the car until the ball joints broke, which wouldnt take long considering what they did.
Found a lot of things that they said needed repair that were fine. Definitely not the place to go unless you are really stuck.
Beware! Glad I got a second and third opinion.... lied straight to my face that my AC and front brakes would be around 1,450!! Two other local privately owned auto mechanics said it would be under300 for both!!!!!!!! Got both jobs done for 288 including labor!!Go somewhere else!!!!!!!! They charged me close to 900 for my rear brakes.... I dont even want to know how much of that I threw away!!!
CHEATERS & THIEVES!! Got a good quote for tires over the phone so I took my vehicle there. The guy tried to tell me one of my rims was cracked. I saw the scam coming from a mile away. I told them off and told the guy to pull my car around I was taking it to another shop. They started to panic big time...HAHA! They said I wouldnt make it down the block with a cracked rim. I had to threaten to come in the garage and take my car if he didnt pull it around, so he finally did. The other shop confirmed there was no crack on any of the rims of course. I went to Yelp to give them a bad review, and long behold, theyve tried to cheat a lot of people! Stay away from this shop!!
This is the place for great, courteous service!
Lance the service manager is great. He will help you with any car need you may have. Their mechanics are very knowledgeable and will not sell u anything you dont need.
Great service!!! and very friendly!!!Carlos did a great job will definitely be coming back.If you have any Tire questions! Go to Carlos.
The services was nice. Very friendly and personable staff. The price was very fair for oil changing.
This place is the best. Rob gave me an honest review of what I needed to repair and applied approiate discounts (listed on their website) on the services I needed. If you were to go here ask for Rob, I guarantee hell help you.
Definitely wont be going back here again. Was told that I needed to replace my CV axle on the left side. Bought the exact part that they told me to buy AND from Advance Auto Parts (which is where they get the part from). I use A VERY experienced mechanic who actually used to work for Firestone and has done all of the needed work on my car. (Why pay hundreds for insane shop fees when someone just as experienced can help you out?). I have a 2013 Mazda Skyactiv hatchback, engine VIN 7.After research, I read across multiple sites and car shops that my car is very specialized even in this part and that it is recommended to buy the part OEM. However, I went with Firestones recommendedation and the part is absolutely incorrect. The splices dont fit into the assembly correctly because the diameter of the part is smaller than the original.I called and spoke to Pete at Firestone and his statement was Well if you had done it with us it wouldve been correct. And Well, the auto parts store shouldve checked to make sure the part was the right one. Really? First of all, had I taken my car into Firestone, they would have called me saying that the part isnt correct and that theyll need to get it from the manufacturer. AND attempt to charge me even more although they presented me with an estimate. In addition to leaving me without a car for another day or so.Im sorry but had you told me that Oh, let me look into that for you and get back to you rather than blame it on everything else but yourselves I wouldnt be writing this review and likely taking this complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Youre talking about a $20000 vehicle and trusting obviously incompetent mechanics to work on it... Be careful trusting this business when it comes to parts because I dont think that they really pay attention to VIN numbers. They just use databases for all standard vehicles and think that everything works for all vehicles.
Ive been going to this place for past year. Recently, service has gone to worst. i brought my car in for wheel balance and a tire with a nail. It was repaired but next day, the TPMS showed tire low pressure. I thought it needed more air, and did it myself. Following day same thing. I called this place up and was told to bring next day. I feel that it was a repair recall, they should prioritize you. And how long would a tire repair be? I explained this and i felt they could care less. not going back to this place again.
Its always nice to stop by where did give you a good service for your car thank you
Had to stop in to get an inspection after noticing a loose part. Fast, friendly and honest service. Will be back.
Alternator replacement runs 600 for a 2003 mazda tribute. A little pricey. Staff if friendly and willing to help.
They were very busy when I went in, and the front desk guy was kind and helpful considering...However he gave me an estimate at $130 for two tires, they ended up keeping my car over night, and breaking my rims without replacing them, and still ended up charging me right around $190. I wouldve gone elsewhere right from the start if I knew they were going to jack the price up.They gave my car an inspection, without asking permission, and charged me $50 for that. Then upon finally picking my rimless car up when it was ready, I found that the tire alignment was horribly off.I am hesitant to call back and get them to fix the mistakes they made because I cant afford all of these hidden costs and dont have that much time to go car-less.Therefore I am just going to warn others that they should go elsewhere if they want to save time and money on getting simple fixes for their car.
They recommended $1000 worth of work that didnt need to be done! The inspection was done wrong
Very friendly atmosphere, great mechanics giving high quality and affordable service.Very social employees.
Firestone in Lake Zurich use to change the oil and filter when you bring your own, I always put full synthetic oil in my car, one day I asked them to change the oil filter and they stole my oil, I called police and make report. They offered me new synthetic oil change next day, I accepted.
Pete and the other staff members were very helpful and friendly.
Emerson!!!! Gave me and my buddy the best experience ever. Emerson props to you buddy. I doubt anyone could help us the way you did. Give this guy a raise!!!!
Excellent, prompt and friendly service. Called when vehicle repair was completed.
Great service and pleasant staff very knowledgeable and friendly.
Unprofessional staff.I wont go back anymore.they are llying in your face.I had the worse experience
Do not bother to make aappointment they wont keep it I dropped off my vehicle at 9 for a 10 am appointment it is now 6:30pm and it is not complete yet. you need to sit here and hover over them if you want them to do something quick.
Good place for a reasonably priced oil change. Staff is nice and they dont try to sell you any unnecessary services.
First visit was a good experience. Seems like a capable auto and tire shop.
NEW MANAGEMENT – SAME PROBLEM!!!10 yr+ Firestone Lake Zurich customer (no longer) that is completely feed up with this store’s upsell/extortion practices. I am a 57 year old gearhead/electrical engineer that has been working on cars since I was old enough to hand my dad the correct wrenches, with the right “numbers” on them. I bought a “lifetime alignment” for my 2005 Mazda and over the last few years have had to use this “lifetime” Firestone service a few times. During my ownership of the Mazda I have had failures of both front struts (1 with a leak, 1 with a broken top bearing mount) and both CV axles (1 worn and clicking on turns, and 1 with sliced boot/throwing grease). These repairs that I performed required me to take the car in to have the front end “alignment” checked. On several occasions alignment was “checked” and no adjustment was required. During the last replacement of the passenger CV axle (November) I took the car in and asked that they change the oil, and check the alignment. Several hours later they call me and say that they cannot do the alignment (ever so slightly out) because they cannot loosen the tie rod ends because they are “rusted” in place. ???? They said that unless I paid additional “Shop Fees” for them to loosen the rusted parts, or bought all new parts they could not do the alignment. ??? ….I was not happy with their solution, told them so, and said I would “loosen” the tie rods when I got some time off during the December Holiday and bring it back. In December it took me 3 minutes with a propane torch and penetrating oil to loosen both sides. I again dropped the car off again, and asked for an alignment check.A few hours later they call and their story changes: Now one of my tie rod ends, and one of my control arm ball joints needs to be replaced in order for them to perform an alignment. ???? I asked why they did not see these “alignment stopping problems” in November, and was it possible to see what they were talking about. (The car drives like a dream-no clicks/ticks/squeaks/creaks/pops…no noise…NOTHING) The mechanic (very nice guy) showed me an almost indiscernible (few 1000ths of an inch) play in each part as he vigorously shook the wheel while up on the rack with me looking, and using his Maglite. I was taken aback. This tiny amount of play is completely normal for a used car (110K) which obeys the natural laws of physics and material properties. A few 1000ths play in NO WAY indicates a part needing immediate replacement. They have now “entered” in their computer that an alignment CANNOT happen until these parts are replaced. At this juncture I am sure if I choose their Suggested $700 repair I can have my car aligned. The sad truth: IF I DO THIS UNNEEDED “REPAIR” I am sure Firestone will continue to point to every suspension part on my car and say they need to replace it if they ever intend to honor my “lifetime alignment” again. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR AND JUST GO NEXT DOOR FOR YOUR CAR NEEDS!!!
Great service. Friendly and knowledgeable.
Fast and great service
Store fraudulently charged my Firestone card for someone elses service. Fireestone card says I have to hash it out with the store, and the store itself says they cant do anything about. When you ask to speak to the manager, the manager doesnt actually show up to work. Total scam Firestone!!! Some random person gets service and they bill me for it, and now I have to take them too court just becausee my name was in their computer.
These guys deserve a break after 10+ hours shifts minimum IMHO They always go above & beyond & genuinely care.
They claimed The tire pressure monitor in the valve stem was broken when I brought it in to have new tires installed which they charged me $225.00 to replace. but if this part breaks the tire will go flat, the tire was not flat when I drive in. 2 months ago the clips that hold the weights on they used to balance the rear passenger side tire broke & the weights fell off and ruined the tire. So now I have to pay another &150.00 replace the tire. I would not recommend any Firestone repair shops freinds & family have had trouble with the shops in johnsburg & lindenhurst.
Very helpful, did get the job done. But really expensive.
The guys were super nice and very helpful
Very rude manager, refused to service my car after I commented on their policy. Would not help me loosen a rusted screw, basically said no to everything.
They got me in at the last minute when my tire had a nail in it. Wait time for the repair was short.
Friendly staff and fast reliable service.
Fast friendly service.
Great customer service!
Dont go there ever .
After being mistreated at multiple places I will no longer go anywhere else they are fantastic here in every aspect.
Go see Rob, not very often does your sales rep have ASE certifications
If they tell you to replace all tires when you have a nail in one, GET A SECOND OPINION!
Very courteous and friendly.
Helpful and friendly.
Very disappointed with the quality of work.
Great Service
Timely, honest, helpful
