At Remington Automotive they not only take care of your car but also protect your wallet.I asked for an appraisal of 6 services which were recommended by a dealer. To my surprise Remington Automotive was willing to do all of them for 50% of the dealers request. My bewilderment was even bigger when I saw the final charge amounted to only 8% of the initial dealer request.At Remington Automotive they checked if all 6 services were necessary at this point. After examining fluids and spark plugs in my car they advised me to do only 2 out of 6 recommended by the dealer.So, if you want to have good service and be sure your money is spent only on needed services then I advise everyone to visit Remington Automotive. They are about integrity which is rare to find anymore - honest, professional and cost conscious.

I brought in our Lexus truck after being quoted an outrages price from the dealer to fix. We just moved here so I didnt have a mechanic. I went on fb and everyone in the area recommended Remington. I went in and not only were they less expensive, but they repaired a bunch of things that made sense to repair being they were taking apart the top end of the engine anyway. Still cheaper than the dealer. They had great communication and even offered me a laoner. These are my guys now. Check them out if u need a trustworthy mechanic.

Remington has come through for me twice now. Most recently by fixing an air conditioning issue. I had it fixed by my dealer but the issue still occurred. Remington ACTUALLY fixed it - in 1/3 of the time and for 1/2 of what the dealer charged. Fast, professional, and effective service. Highly recommended!

We have gone to Remington Auto for years. They have always been fair and honest when it comes to necessary repairs and maintenance. Yesterday I went to see them because my charge card got lodge in the console compartment. One of the guys took my car immediately and 15 minutes later had the charge card dislodged at no cost!

I saw the other reviews left here and feel confused... As far as I can tell, Remington is a small shop that offers a refreshing oasis in the business of car care. I have found them to be very honest. Their approach to business is geared toward doing well consistently and for the long run. I would be willing to pay more for such service that gave me peace of mind that I will not be taken advantage of. And yet, the funny thing is, at Remington you end up paying less than elsewhere and you get the peace of mind on top of it. Did I mention that I also appreciate tremendously the personal demeanor of the owner (Brad), Roger and all the mechanics/technicians there?So, whats the deal with some of the negative reviews that I saw here? I must be living on a different planet from those reviewers, or Remington must have a double personality. Having said that, I hope that my assessment of Remington is a correct reading of how they truly feel about their customers and their business and it is not simply a behavior forced by competition reasons alone. It makes for a better quality of life...

I checked my truck in at around 8:30 and I got a call a few hours later for pick up. They fixed a bad repair done by Fair Muffler. Excellent work, my truck drives great! No more noise and they were also able to fit in an oil change. Highly recommend

The owner is gruff, but friendly. The service with coupon was cheap and fast. The owner researched the best replacement tires for my make and model, and printed out an information sheet from the manufacturer. He offered the sale and service, but there was no pushing whatsoever. I would definetely go back for any future service.

I like them.Its tough to unequivocally recommend something outside ones expertise, but they seem like a good, honest car shop, in a sea of players. My dad used to go here a good long while back when their name was different, and now my mom is a regular customer, and I use them after I got tired of paying premiums to my original dealer which likes to dramatize everything and overcharge by double... I cant make guarantees, but Remington will probably give it you straight, and will charge you a pretty fair price. Reliable, conscientious. Will want you to come back by proving themselves instead of by pressuring you. I hope they keep this going for a long, long time.

Brought my cars here for years. Guys are friendly and Im always out pretty fast (I do always call first to get an accurate estimate on how busy they are). My cars are always treated well and issues are resolved quickly. Not to mention, the best deal in town on a semisynthetic oil change!

I grew up with a Dad that owned a gas/service station so Im just a little picky about auto repair. I have been totally disillusioned in the past with another Lake Zurich repair shop but then we found Remington. This is the second time weve brought one of our cars in and the second time that we had a great experience. They are knowledgeable, friendly, honest and they dont try and sell you repairs for things that arent broken. Also, their prices are amazing! Both times weve been in, the prices have been significantly lower than we expected. I would strongly recommend Remington Automotive!

I thought I had a leak in the exhaust system. I could hear it. I brought my car in to Remington. they put it on the hoist and saw two corroded linkages. They recommended simply fixing the pipes by welding in two new pieces. They could have taken advantage of me by telling me I needed an exhaust system, but they were honest and advised me to do just what was necessary. I highly recommend them.

Always friendly and have never had any issues here. Ive always gotten in and out pretty quickly but showing up right when they open helps.

They pulled the old bait and switch on me.Needed a new Cat conv. Negotiated a quote and let me know it was a NEW part. Said I wouldnt need any welding, and my emission light should be working like new.I picked up my car and looked under and EVERY piece of the cat was welded.When I asked for explanation they changed their story and tried to tell me that nothing was welded. The owner put the blame back on me?? The bottom line was the part I received was not the part quoted. My check engine light is still on, and they wanted me to bring it in for another evaluation. The problem is they were supposed to do all this the first time.FIND SOMEONE ELSE. THEY ARE NOT HONEST, AND REALLY JUST DONT CARE.I would not recommend them to anyone. I have buyers remorse!

Brought my car in after botching my own self repair. They were not incredibly cheap but they were ectremely reasonable and corrected what I did wrong. they told me what i oviusly didnt do and what I did do correct. my car is in much better shape because of them. I cant wait for the next issue to arise so that I can have them fix it. (not really, but you know what I mean). They were honest straight forward and had great manners to not belittle my failure. Tho i am sure they were shaking their heads at my attempt, i would have. all in all I will be back there with my current car and all my future cars. Thank you guys.
