The BEST barre workout there is! I’ve done barre for years, tried Pure Barre, Barre 3, and local barre studios. Bar Method is safe, effective, and NEVER stops being challenging. Additionally, the owners are wonderful women who enthusiastically greet you by name everyday. Every single teacher is excellent. And in normal (non Covid) times they have childcare with spectacular babysitters. It’s my favorite place to be!
LOVE this studio and the community. The workout is full body, providing a variety of exercises for each muscle group throughout the whole class. The studio is very clean and following all social distancing requirements. 100% recommend.

I stopped coming to the bar method for about 6 months, and just got back into it. I honestly forgot how much I loved it! Its a really fun, low-impact work-out (I can take a class during my lunch break and not come back to work sweaty and gross) but its challenging, and I always feel sore afterward. The instructors are really nice, and Im always impressed by how quickly they learn your name and remember you.
I HIGHLY Recommend Bar Method. I’m almost 60 years old and have always been active but in the past few years I’ve lost strength and flexibility. By the recommendation of a friend, I took a Bar Method class and loved it from the very first class. It is a combination of stretching and strengthening using your own body weight (a few exercises with light weights). The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful and will guide you through any questions. They are very upbeat and exude positivity. I highly recommend anyone trying it out. Give it a month so you can see the benefits.
I love this studio and love Barre. It is the best workout Ive ever done . It is super challenging but so much fun at the same time. The instructor are amazing. They really take the time to correct bad posture and are super supportive. Highly recommend to anyone who hasnt tried it yet.
Bar method lake Oswego is my happy place . Great strength training for all levels. I love how they reposition you so you are in correct form getting the most from your workout. I feel the props they use really are beneficial to keep you from injury and they also offer modifications.
I cant say enough about this studio, the instructors, and the actual Bar Method classes.The classes are challenging and fun. The instructors are energetic and keep everyone motivated to work their hardest. Bar method has helped strengthen my whole body including my core, quads, glutes, biceps, triceps and lats. It has also improved my flexibility and posture.
The best workout Ive ever had! My body changed within the first month & I was much stronger too. The instructors are very professional & know what theyre doing! They are very good at making sure your form is right to prevent injuries. Highly recommend!
I’m a three month newbie but can easily see the benefits of this wonderful mix of strength training, stretching and balance. I have significant scoliosis, one leg longer than the other and I have always hyper-extended my knees. Beth and her team at the Lake Oswego location are so patient with instruction and correction to be sure I’m in the proper position, I smile every time they adjust me! While I’m 59, I see many much younger and just as many older Members all working to build a strong foundation for graceful aging. It’s now apparent that I need this class to build and maintain core strength to keep my crooked body as straight as possible. Thank-you, Thank-you!
I am really enjoying this class. The instructors are very knowledgeable about proper form and help newcomers like me learn the proper forms and techniques. I feel stronger after every class! A positive upbeat environment, and great way to start or end your day, or even a jolt of positive in the middle of the day!
Im just returning to Bar Method after a 1 1/2 year break. I went religiously for two years, prior to that. What I realized during the break is that this, specific, method works better than other exercise to tone and sculpt every part of my body. I like intense workouts that dont require me to bounce around: the calm, clean studios and clear, engaging instructors are perfect. It is hard. It is worth every penny. I look forward to each class and am enjoying watching my body change very quickly!
I really like Bar Method because they focus on form and making sure to protect your joints (especially knees) since I have had 4 knee surgeries. This is a great low impact workout that has allowed me to strengthen my legs from post surgery muscle atrophy and become stronger and stronger everyday. The instructors help to motivate and push me to the next level and the music is awesome!
The best, most positive workout classes ever! Age doesnt matter as the range is very wide and I see all ages in my class. I am in my late 60s with arthritis, and its perfect, and I also know women in their 30s who find it challenging. The instructors could not be more supportive.

Bar Method is amazing! I have never found a type of exercise that I genuinely enjoy doing until I found Bar Method. The results are undeniable. Just a little over three months and I see such a difference. The positive environment and hands on teaching helps me feel like I can do it, even on the hardest days. I love how the teachers remember your name and go out of their way to help you be successful. Beth, Noel and Jessica Carter are my favorites at Bar Method LO. I always feel like I got the best workout, was pushed to my limit and inspired to work harder with each of them. I’m so thankful I found Bar and I don’t think I’ll ever stop! If your hesitant about joining, try one class, I gureantee you’ll be coming back!
Bar Method is Awesome! Finally, a workout class Im excited to go to and seeing results like Ive never seen before...I have muscles! The Bar Method Instructors are Amazing! They are caring, encouraging and inspiring. They make sure you do the moves safely and correctly and always give modifications for those needing them. I cant recommend Bar Method enough!
The workout at the Bar Method in Lake Oswego is great for toning, for gaining strength, and for increasing your confidence, mentally and physically. Plus everyone, staff and attendees both, are so welcoming and encouraging that you cant help but have fun while youre working hard! They have plenty of class options and even childcare some days. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.
The moment I walked in the door for my first class, I had a wonderful experience. The front desk staff was attentive and helpful and made me feel comfortable as I was trying something new. The instructor was positive and friendly. The studio was clean. After my first class, the staff knew me by name and greats me each time I come in. Great experience!

I love working out at The Bar Method in Lake Oswego! I really hadn’t worked out much the past couple years after my last baby but knew I needed to get back into the gym and decided to try barre. Well now I’ve been going 5 days a week for the past 3 months and can’t get enough! It’s always challenging, and I’m definitely seeing results in muscle tone, strength, lost inches, and confidence! My only regret is not trying it sooner!

The Bar Method is a complete mind and body workout. The various exercises focus on isolated muscle movements and are low impact, but don’t let that fool you. The strength training, sculpting and cardio health are like no other workout I’ve found.I come for the mind blowing physical experience but the community at The Bar Method Lake Oswego provides constant motivation along with emotional and mental stimulation. I’m so grateful for this studio and the amazing individuals who are a part of it!
I was brought to the Bar Method in September and was immediately hooked - I just completed my 100 class! I had been looking for a workout where I could build strength and flexibility without getting hurt in the process and without being completely intimidated - I found it at the Bar Method. Their knowledgeable instructors helped me from day one with hands on adjustment to prevent injury and maximize the work I was putting in. Everyone I have encountered at the studio has been so incredibly nice and it feels like family to me!
I joined Bar Lake Oswego to gain strength and tone. The results are visible after a few sessions! I enjoy all the instructors, but Jessica Douglas kicks my rear every time...and it is a GOOD thing!
My heart fluttered a bit when I saw the Bar Method signage put in place last year in my hood. My sisters been talking it up for years and I wondered if this would be the workout I can commit to regularly and incorporate into my daily routine. And, yes, Im hooked.The studio in Lake O is beautiful and clean and bright. The instructors are helpful, amusing, and keep you in good form, and front desk staff is helpful and friendly. The members are inspiring. You can meet people or not meet people, its up to you.Theres a variety of classes for every mood! Classes offered are different paces and intensities. But dont be mistaken, none of the classes are easy.Your form during class is important, and instructors will correct your posture by calling out your name and/or adjusting your position manually, they also provide positive feedback. Its like having a personal trainer.The focus during class is, again, your form, but also small muscle movements and fighting to stay in the position. Then you are rewarded w a stretch or two.One of the best things about The Bar Method workout is that it fits neatly into your daily routine. Listen to the instructors, come 3-5 times each week, and notice over weeks how you now see yourself and whats possible, and in a few short months your arms and thighs will jiggle a lot less. Thank you Denise and Beth for putting it all together for us.
Ive done all kinds of workouts through out my life but non have compared to the transformation that Bar Method has provided! The instructors and staff are all incredible! You wont be disappointed!
The Bar Method in Lake Oswego is an amazing space--the instructors are knowledgeable, encouraging, and motivating. The facilities are beautiful, and the environment (staff and other members) are warm and welcoming. I love and look forward to beginning each morning there--it is the best way to start off my work day.

I like to think of myself as in shape but this class will use muscles that you never knew you had. I could barely walk the first four days, but if you like to be tone this is the place for you. I dont give out five stars because there is no cardio and I almost never broke a sweat. Hard for me to relieve stress without that. It needs to be combined with other kinds of workouts.
