I have been with State Farm for 30 years. I loved my previous agent in the Deerfield area. Unfortunately, she passed away several years ago and I was moved to Jeff Smith. I have had no dealings with them for the past 12 years aside from just paying my bill.A few weeks ago I had an incident at the house where I accidently put some Diesel Exaust Fluid in the fuel tank of my Diesel work truck. The estimate for the repairs was shocking. $13k. The dealership that has my truck told me to notify my insurance agent that it should be covered. Which I promply did. I was told that this was a case of drivers neglegence and asked why would I think this would be covered? She actually went on to say that no insurance company would cover something like that. She was so flipant of the situation and I was uterly crushed. I did have some choice words and that was the end of it.This was a major blow to our family. 13k is a significant amount of money and caused us to have to cancel our summer vacation among several other sacrafices that had to be made. A complete nightmare. I did however promply switch agents just because i didnt want to be spoken to like that by my insurance company.As luck would have it, my new agent said that was absolutely covered under my comprehensive plan. We put the claim through and now I have a check on the way to my house to have this claim paid for. So, not only do other insurance companies cover this, State Farm covers this. If she had bothered to look into this she would have known. But she was so flipant of my situation, its no wonder that never happend. I wonder what else they are taking advantage of.We are now trying to put together a mini-vacation for my daughters before the head back to school. Unfortunately, it wont be anything close to what he had orginally planned.One completely seperate issue. Several months ago we had refinanced the house. The escrow company was late on the payment. We found out about it from State Farm through a policy cancelation notice. They actually let us go without insurance on our house for a couple of days before they even notified me. I reached out the escrow company and had it resolved in a couple of hours and they reactivated my account. God forbid something would have happened to my house in that time frame. But I digress...I wont put in here what I really think of this agent. In particular the woman who answered the phone. I do know her name, but will not put it in here. I will never deal with this agent and, in the strongest of terms I can manage, encourage everyone to steer clear of Jeffry Smith and his agency. Criminals.I will give them 1 star because they sure no how to collect money...
My account representative Keri has served as a huge resource for me and my family over the past couple of years. I have been a customer for many years and have never been disappointed by State Farm, Jeff, or his team. Their flexibility has been valuable to me - since I work 9-5 Monday - Friday it has been a huge help to be able to communicate with the team after hours and on weekends. Highly recommend!
Everyone in the office is friendly and helpful. Jeff Smith explained all my coverages to me when I didnt know anything about insurance. They also helped me refinance my auto loan and saved me a bunch of money. I am glad to have this office handling all of my insurance!

I had a lot of questions about his discount options and called the office multiple times over a few days - every time I called they answered right away and gave me an answer. I switched over to Jeff Smiths office last week and have never had such a positive experience with an insurance agency. All of the ladies in the office were friendly and welcoming as soon as I walked in. Jeff went over my policies with me and thoroughly explained every provision and coverage option. I feel safe with this office and Im paying almost half than I was with Allstate!

For almost a decade; I was a customer of Jeff Smith’s State Farm office, throughout the years I have been a paying customer.His office manager Marge is completely abrasive, at one point she attempted to tell me that my home’s hail damage is not damage at all. On a separate occasion, she recommended I replace my windshield with a specific company, that company damaged my car and never repaired it.Jeff Smith called me to discuss my hail damage claim. He demanded proof, how am I suppose to give him proof, rip off my siding and send it to him??? Ten years of loyalty and thousands of dollars to be treated like a deadbeat????
I have been insured with this office for 3 years now without an issue. My rates have decreased every year for the past 3 years and the office staff has been nothing but friendly and helpful. I do shop around for insurance often and have yet to find a rate that competes with Jeffs at State Farm. Awesome!

Been a member for 3 years. Wanted to add new 2017 Lexus and swap out my 2009 Audi. Was quoted an increase of $40 dollars. I have been shopping around and have found cheaper rates through similar Insures(Nationwide and Liberty Mutual) for about the same cost but double the coverage. Called and let Barbara know I was looking elsewhere and didnt even try to look for other discounts for my policy to try and keep me. Do yourself a favor and deal with the phone reps and go with a different Insurer.
Jeff Smith and his employees feel more like family than my insurance professionals. Every time I have an issue I get an immediate response. They are very personable and knowledgeable. I feel safe and know I have the coverage I need dealing with Jeff Smith State Farm. I would highly recommend.
