This dealership was awesome. Everyone was super helpful and nice, even AFTER I bought a car from them. When I brought it in for an oil change, the service department was so nice…one of the employees actually played with my toddler while I signed my paperwork and paid! Wonderful & honest dealership.
Horrible new management and service. Don’t buy a new car from them. It’ll break down a day after having it and new management refuses to fix it without you paying an arm & a leg! Finally got it worked on for $1200 even though under warranty, broke down on the side of the road leaving the shop. It’s been a week since they responded and then finally responding saying it’ll be a different parts totaling up to $5,000. Luckily my dad is the main owner of car & has his lawyer on it as of today. She said we will 100% beat this case because she sees it all the time. Sometimes people aren’t as fortunate as us to be able to hire a lawyer and this is the messed up part. I still have all of my info and emails from the old management saying it would be fixed for free because I had just got the car. Nobody should have to go through this. I’m not sure why they got new management but it seems like it was their biggest mistake and word will get around Lake Charles starting today.
The new ownership is a major breath of fresh air for the dealership. Used to drive all the way to Beaumont to have my car serviced as the one in lake Charles had cars that had been in service for months. Figured I would give them a shot after heard new management and let me tell you I was greeted by Shanna Tapp and she was amazing. Very attentive and listened to everything I said so that she could get all my issues resolved. I have been back three times since to have tires plugged as lake Charles has nails everywhere and they keep ending up in my tires! Thank you so much for all your help, will definitely be back.
Wished I would have read the reviews before going to the dealership. Never thought it would take 3 hours to buy a car. Didnt have the right VIN number on the paper work for the finance department. And the odometer reading on the power train paperwork was wrong by 6000 miles. No one noticed until I got home and was looking over the paperwork again. The workers didnt notice either. They say it doesnt matter and they cant change it cause its already in the system. By the end of it I was not feeling good cause I was missed lunch and they didnt seem to bothered that it took forever to sale a car.
This dealership has an excellent selection of vehicles. The showroom floor is also spacious, and has a pleasant atmosphere (LOVE the fancy coffee machine😁) I will say that certain employees could do better in regards to their customer service and politeness.
Truly wish I could put more stars, amazing service amazing sells, amazing people, my wifes 2013 passst tdi started having issues so we brought it in for a diagnostic amd was informed it was scr issues so we got uneasy about it then we were told it was under warranty and that it would be covered, then they have my wife a loaner car a 21 tiguan and she fell in love she decided she wanted to get one so we went in and talked to the sells person Mr. Gilbert he did an amazing job getting my wife into a tiguan and got us amazing note, they offered to feed us and tasted us like we were people and not just another sale if your in the market for a new or used car then give them a shot you will be so glad you did ask for our new friend Gilbert and he will make sure you leave with a smile on your face

Absolutely horrible this place is a joke, currently have a case open with Volkswagen USA, We chose Volkswagen because of how dependable they supposedly are, the Lack of communication, and one repair Turing into another and another. $6,000 later and something else goes wrong. I would never recommend Volkswagen of Lake Charles to anyone, The service department doesn’t call you back, Absolutely ridiculous.
STAY AWAY.Do they even deserve that one star? No.I would give less if I could. Their service department is absolutely dreadful. They’re a group of lazy, uninformed and unhelpful individuals. They serviced my vehicle for a basic maintenance and my engine started leaking oil the next day and in a few days after it started making weird noises. Came back two weeks later and they did not like that they were responsible for it and tried to spin the issue. Now I’m looking at 12k in damages and plan on suing.But please, if you’re reading this.DO NOT BUY YOUR VEHICLE from here becauseeven if the salesperson was nice to you,every time you come back for the service, you will be disappointed and leave in a bad mood.

But the service department and customer service at this place is beyond poor. I have had my vehicle 2 months, they have owed me a detail from my purchase and I still haven’t gotten it. I’ve been up there twice, given my number twice and I’ve never gotten a call back. My temp tag has even expired and my license plate isn’t in, I’ve called about it 3 times and I still haven’t gotten an answer.If you want to purchase a Volkswagen, I’d definitely recommend the vehicle, just go to another dealership!

Ok, so I’ve been around and around with these yahoo’s in the service department for about 8 months. I bought 2 Jetta’s, one for each of my sons. The A/C stopped working in one of the vehicles so I brought it in for repairs. Sounds easy.....right??? The service department refuses to answer the phone, and they definitely will not call you back if you leave a voicemail. So I had to drive 30 miles up there just to make the appointment. The first time, I kinda gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured it was just bad timing. Over the course of the following several months the vehicle had gone in a total of 3 times for the same issue and I had to go in every time to set up the appointment. And they also refuse to give status updates, so the car would be ready for days before I knew about it. I can’t just run up there every day to check the status. They are really incompetent in the service department, honestly. The 4th time I spoke to the service manager and she was so rude I felt like running the car straight through the front doors! So I contacted VW customer care and they set me up with a service appointment in Beaumont. They were friendly, gave status updates and even answered the phone when I called. BTW, they fixed the problem. So save yourself some anguish and do NOT buy from VW of LC, once they get your money, their done with you.

I have put off writing this hoping my issue would be resolved by now and almost 4 months later still haven’t gotten my problem solvedThere are 2 dents in my car that was promised to be repaired, the body guy supposedly comes every other TuesThe car sat on the lot after we purchase it for right at 2 weeks before I decided I would go ahead and take it home and schedule the repairNow I have driven there 3 times with no luck every time it’s one excuse or anotherAgain today get there and I have 2 options, sit for 5 hours and 1 dent taken care of and reschedule to come back for the other dent or wait and take care of both at the same time, ofcourse I want them both taken care of but after the fourth time I would think they already knew that both had to be scheduled on the same day, I’m just beyond frustrated that these guys cannot get their act together I have caught them in so many lies and just keep getting the run aroundI also have never gotten a oil sticker on the car so didn’t know if that had even been done, then was told they were just out of stickers I ask today about the oil or the sticker and they say according to their records I have another 2000 miles before the oil needed changed again. I sticker placed on my carI definitely would not recommend no one to get a vehicle here not with all the issues I’ve had

Great initial experience actually buying the car. However, the vehicle I traded in did not get/still is not paid off 36 days after I traded it in. In fact, that vehicle has already been turned around and sold by them with me still holding the loan, which I’m not sure if that’s even legal or possible. I contacted dealership several times over the course of 3 weeks via phone and email and was assured each time it was taken care of but nothing has ever been resolved up to this point. Now, the payment I would have owed is close to 30 days past due and will probably result in a negative credit impact due to the dealership’s inaction.
Excellent experience. Ive never had a smoother experience purchasing a vehicle. Even being an out of state buyer, Toby and Kevin took care of everything pretty much by phone. I stopped by on my way to work in Louisiana and looked at the vehicle, made an amazing deal and stopped back by on my way hone and picked it up. I spent less than an hour total at the dealership. I liked the car, the price was good, now fair enough I did not have such a great credit history, but in the end they were able to serve me without a problem, only that the loan interest was skyrocket. I would have paid double for the car by the end of the transaction. I feel they could have come up with a better deal for me. I went to Hampton instead, and what great of a choice I made. Got my car at an awesome fair price and service was outstanding.
This was the second vehicle my family purchased from Volkswagen of Lake Charles in the last two years and both experiences were great. Our most recent purchase was of a certified used vehicle, and we couldnt be happier with the condition of the car. Our salesman, Alberto Grimaldi, was a pleasure to work with, and the price we paid for the vehicle was fair. Alberto and Volkswagen of Lake Charles will certainly be the first to get the chance to earn our business with future car purchases. We highly recommend them.

This was by far the easiest, most comfortable car purchase I have ever encountered. The sales person (Walter stevens) was a blast to work with, never pushed anything we didnt want, and was very knowledgeable. The darkness manager Lauren was also easy to work with and very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone!!

I had a very good experience with this dealership. The deal was handled over the phone since I was over 7 hours away. We agreed to a price and the paperwork was completed very fast so I could review it before I made the trip down. There were no surprises when we arrived the Atlas was just what we were looking for and the staff was very knowledgeable.Not many dealerships are willing to work with people over the phone they want you in the dealership to make a deal. I was very happy that they were willing to work with me over the phone.
The staff were very kind and helpful. I love the fact that Quintin didn’t just throw figures out there. He explained things and was diligent towards coming to a resolve with me. He, along with the manager who I am very thankful for, struggled through the credit checks, explained everything to me and showed me the evidence behind their words. I didn’t expect this at all, I just went in to get my car serviced, however, God allowed the staff at Volkswagen to bless me beyond my imagination. I went from a 2008 to a 2018!! I love my car. This car buying experience has exceeded my expectations. Not only were the sales men curtious and knowledgeable, but they made every effort to accommodate my unique situation. I did not expect to receive this much service nor to walk off the lot with my new vehicle that same day. This was truly an amazing experience.
I have never left a negative review in my life. I gave two stars only because of my salesman, Myles. He was helpful. The sales manager, Lauren, was a total jerk and treated me like I was an idiot. I did my research before coming in and was prepared to buy that day. I have never experienced this sort of condescending attitude from a person at this level in the customer service industry. It seemed as though they didn’t even want my business or care if I purchased from them. They offered me an extremely low amount for my trade which I expected. When I said the value was too low, he immediately got defensive and began telling me everything wrong with my car to convince he was actually doing me a favor. I walked out. They never attempted to contact me or even apologize for his behavior even after I notified my salesman. Disappointing to say the least that women are still treated as less than in some car dealerships these days. By far, one of the worst customer service experiences in my life.
They false advertise to get you in then do the switcheroo and sell you a much more expensive vehicle. My car price changed 4 times like 5-7 thousand in finance department. Then called The next day and said they messed up and needed me to come sign contract again. They started switching numbers again I was so frustrated after driving 3 hours one way two days in a row, I just walked away. I keep emailing and calling for my down payment back and they are not responding. I had to file a fraud charge on my card. Stay away from this dishonest dealership!

My mom is 70 years old and has been wanting a bug for most of her life, in 2018 my sister was able to finally gift her one! She has been a wonderful mother why not!! It is not the bug of moms yester years, meaning it stays in the repair shop!! As of today it has been in the shop 7 different times. My 5 starts isnt because of the VW itself. the car is a piece of useless metal or plastic lol, its because of the new staff at the service department. I am experienced with a lot of different servies departments, because of my love for cars. So I feel like I am an unofficial expert!! Today I called to speak to the service manager, due to the fact that my 70 year old mother was already there because her check engine light came on again and she was scared her car would stop on her, and guess what???? They allowed me to speak to him!! This was indeed an incredible start!! Brian was very attentive to our needs and our fears. He worked on getting my mother a loaner car, even though she didnt have an appointment. So the 5 stars is due to a great service department not a VW itself lol. Ty Brian for making it happen for my mother!

Miles was kind enough to come over and bring the car to my home on Wednesday the 4th of July, since I had been in a head-on collision on Monday and was extremely sore. He has worked with me and kept me up-to-date and knowledgeable about everything that needed to go on behind the scenes. Tomorrow, I should go pick my car up. I have always hated car shopping, but after this experience I dont think I will ever dread it again. Theyre the best!

Toby was easy to deal with. He went out of his way to answer all my questions about the car. Since I was calling from four states away, he even got on FaceTime with me to demonstrate the car to show everything was working properly and any flaws. When I arrived, he picked me up at the airport with the car. I was in and out of the dealership in less than an hour. Everything was as represented and Im happy with the purchase.

Beware! Drove 150 miles to test drive a used car they had online. I had just started the engine for my test drive and the creepy sales manager came trotting out and raised the price. Just goofy. Don’t believe a thing they price online. Don’t waste a trip to the store.

I love my car BUT the service department is a disaster. I dropped my car off with an issue on 4/22 Monday at 8:30am they called me on Friday 4/26 to let me know what they found...UNACCEPTABLE. WE approved the work and part was ordered. On Friday 5/3 I called to check the status TWICE and nobody knew what was going in since the service advisor was out....UNACCEPTABLE. I called back today Monday 5/6 and they still could not answer but they would figure it out. Unfortunately, I was left no choice but to contact the General Manager and the Service Manager. Again, I love my car but the service department was sub standard. I will be purchasing a new car soon and SADLY it will not be from them.
Myles was my salesman. He was so wonderful. He was so calm and quite, not pushy likely m I st salesman but very intuitive to my needs. I have never had such a pleasant and quick vehicle buying trip. Myles was very knowledgeable and just so pleasant to work with. When it went to Frank the man that did the money deal, he was as pleasant and easy to work with. These people told me story after story about when my car would be in. I was first told December 11th. Then, I was told it was in Houston closer to Christmas. Then, Jacksonville Florida. Finally, after calling corporate and them making them give me my deposit back, I went to get it and was treated so badly that I will never use them for anything. Quintin, my sales person, even said You act like I personally rejected you. And I dont have time to hold your hand through this, I do have other customers. I didnt take your calls because I knew you would get mad. Okay, FOLKS, process with caution. I promptly found my car in Houston and am in possession of it two days later.
I bought a vehicle which we thoroughly enjoy. The week I bought it, the low tire pressure light came on and I found that all of the tires were 10 lbs under-inflated (this softens the ride out a bit - pretty smooth sales tactic). That irritated me but the biggest bother was the plates. I bought the car, and almost three months later, I still dont have the plates. They keep giving me temp-tags, but no plates. Ive gone through four 5-day tags and a 60 day tag, but no license plate has been forthcoming.

I saw a vehicle online and fell in love with it. So I decided to complete an online application for credit. Within 30 minutes I received a reply. I scheduled an appointment for the next day to test drive and see my options of purchase.When I went in my appointment salesman was out due to being sick however, Tim Savage stepped up and helped me out (he was beyond helpful and very courteous). Roughly an hour and a half later I was waiting on my new ride!The BEST dealership experience I have ever had! I highly recommend VW of LC!
Stay away! All but had a done deal with the used car department and was ready to drive 5 hours to pick up the car when all of a sudden they raised the price by $6,000!!!! Shady, typical used car salesman! Would not recommend to anyone. They lost a sale AND still have the car on their lot! Stay away.

Can hardly ever get in contact with parts/ maintenance department. Wasnt even able to make use of the warranty that came with my vehicle. aside from purchasing my vehicle from here I will spend my money on up keep else where. Nice people, terrible service.

I arrived at service center early, expecting a line on a Monday morning with no appointment. No line - no problem - young man came directly out to greet me and find out my problem, even though it was before opening time. Took my new (7 days old) Golf R into the shop right away, and sent me inside for fresh coffee (also before hours). Came back to me quickly with keys and a smile - explained that coolant is filled at factory, and dealer tops it off if necessary - sometimes an air pocket happens, and only shows up later when driving, and thats what happened here. He performed a pressure check to insure against leaks, then sent me on my merry way. I pulled into VW of LC at about 0745, and was back in my home by 0830, with good fresh coffee on my breath LOL.
I have 2 Volkswagens and have been dealing with VW of Lake Charles since they opened. Before that I had to go to Beaumont or Lafayette for service. There is a young man named Jacob in the service department who has helped me from day one. He is the best. He always goes the extra mile. I will be having my cars serviced with Jacob for many years to come.
Horrible customer service. With other Volkswagen dealerships so close there is no reason not to go somewhere else so you don’t have to deal with these people. I’m still shocked at our treatment.
The process seemed a little rushed(if youre in a hurry it was awesome), but they got me where I needed to be and were able to get what I wanted into my budget. We purchased a 2017 Passat for my wife and couldnt be happier with it.
It seems that the dealership cant get their paperwork straight. I have asked now for 3 weeks where the registration is on my vehicle and have gotten the same answer that it had recalls on the vehicle and that Volkswagen wont reliever the title until some kind of proof the work had been done to the vehicle and is turned in. I bought the vehicle shy of 3 months ago and they are still screaming around with it. Now its crunch time, I need the car to go out of stast for a 6 month stay away from our home. Totally unacceptable.

I would not recommend this dealership at all. I bought a vehicle from them and went thru a worst after sale experience. These people are not professional zero customer service no curtsy at all. I have to file a complaint to volkswagen corporate office, got them involved to just have my paper work done. I have to make 6 calls to talk to Joe Johnson there GM, just to get a right answer but I have no luck these people have so many unbelievable excuses. Please dont wast your time going there try some bigger dealership.

I went into the Volkswagen dealership to look at a used Kia, I left with a 2019 Tiguan. Myles was so kind and helpful! He didn’t pressure us at all. We left to look around town at all the different places, specifically the Kia store, for some reason I was set on a Kia but the longer I thought about the Volkswagens I couldn’t pull the trigger on the Kia. So we ended up back at Volkswagen and I test drove the Tiguan and loved it even more! Myles was so helpful even through all our back and forth. I thought I wanted the moss green but the trim level I was wanting wasn’t in house so they looked around and found one they would have been able to go and get for me at no extra cost, but I ended up going with the blue for the light seats. Myles came in on his day off to finish the sale the next day and the whole experience with Volkswagen was a breeze! I would buy another vehicle from them for sure!

I called Volkswagen of Lake Charles and talked to a salesman named Michael about a used vehicle I saw on the internet. He was very nice to me and very knowledgeable about the vehicle I was pursuing. He actually developed my trust over the phone with his knowledge, friendliness and advice. I do not typically like to deal with buying a car or haggling over prices and options but I had to see if this company was for real, so I made the drive over from Texas to see if VW of Lake Charles was the real deal. I met with Michael and soon had one of the owners stop by. They were even better than I imagined and taught me that there is an honorable way to buy a car. I got a fantastic deal on my vehicle but it was more than that...I felt that my wife, kids and I met some of our best friends to sit and talk about how to make the most of our buy. No pressure, no haggle and felt like I came out with the better deal! Give these guys a try before you make a deal with anyone else. I strongly recommend this team!PS: Brought my kids and they had a blast playing with all the toys, reading kids books, eating snacks, drinking juice boxes and watching cartoons while my wife and I was with the team! LOL!!!

Came here to buy a used car, didnt want to give me anything for my trade in, or come down on the price of the used car. They were trying to get as much out of me as possible. Im a retired disabled vet on a limited income they didnt care so i took my business somewhere else thanks for nothing.

My wife and I purchased a pre-owned SUV at the beginning of October from this dealership. The inital sale went fine, and the dealership agreed to fix some issues at a later date. But that is when our problems with our sales person Regan began. For weeks my wife remained in text communication with Regan who continued to be flakey with her I will text you this afternoon to set up an appointment or I will call you tomorrow. This went on for weeks until my wife finally had me step in. I placed a call to Kevin the sales manager this weekend who got the ball rolling to resolve our issues. Regan then contacted my wife to set something up. They agreed on a time and date, and when my wife showed up, everyone in the dealership was in a meeting and there was no one there to help my wife. After she waited thirty minutes, she had to leave for work. I placed a call again to Kevin who once again helped to get our work done. Thanks to Kevin the work is now complete. I thank Kevin for stepping up and taking control after a sales person of his put a bad taste in our mouths for the whole dealership due to her horrible customer service. My advice to anyone wanting to shop here, is if you do and if she is still employed, avoid working with Regan. I feel like the whole entire experience would have been better, had we not had her as a representative of the business. I just know we will not be making another purchase from this dealership.
I bought 2018 Tiguan SE from Kevin &Quintin of VW of Lake Charles last week. They were so kind and friedly. I didnt get pressure and expedite during purchasing my car. Therefore, I could buy my car comfortably in there. 2018 Tiguan SE is good so far as well. But it is slightly unstable(?) comparing with my previous car 2012 Malibu of chevy. I guess it is came from difference between sedan and SUV. SUV height is higher than sedan. And Malibu tire spec is higher than tiguan. Anyway, I am satisfied so far.

My husband and I had a great experience with everyone at VW of Lake Charles. We found a 2013 VW GTI online & made the drive from Fort Polk to check her out. Quintin greeted us right away & after a great test drive, we were talking numbers, signing papers and out the door! Even with our 4 year old in tow, the entire process was relaxed and enjoyable, really. We love our car and really feel like the dealership prides itself on good business and not just dollar signs.
