Amazing place for a quick, amazing cut. Very nice and friendly. Outstanding hair cut from a curly un-contained fro to a very clean and sharp professional cut. The beard trim up and shaping was fantastic. Will definitely be going back.

Was not happpy with my cut i ask the barber. A young lady to cut my hair at 1 inch long and she cut i an eight of an inch she did not listen to me i told her twice it was to short wont go back there again and tge barber blew me off that i had an appointment with originally never showed up i drove 30 miles to het my hair screwed up and the musiic was too loud

My first time booking for my son and dad.They showed up, the female who booked the appointment was not there. And didnt show up after waiting 30mins. And no one tried to call her.

I went to J Clark Barber Shop based off Google reviews and I will say I was not disappointed. Mr J is friendly, warm and welcoming. The shop is very clean and well taken care of. Ive had an undercut for a few years now and would have the hair salon fix it up for me, but theres absolutely no way Ill go back to salon shaves. Mr J knocked it out of the park! Hes a true craftsman. Around my ears is perfect, my neck is perfectly lined up. AND, to top it off, such great service didnt cost me an arm and a leg.

Barbers here are lazy😡 and refuse to take any walk/ins either!!Not how. Mr.J Clark ran the ship back then they tell u to look them up in the apps and cant find them 2 hour wait the most

Good haircut but 2 hour wait the first time only to walk out. Tried again, hour and a half wait this time with only one barber who was 20 minutes late to opening the shop.I dont understand how they do business this way.. I mean Im from a big city so I cant compare Lafayette to it but... Come on, hustle!

I went there for years starting when I was in high school. J is a great barber. The wait is always really long though. Typically a couple hours. He doesnt set appointments so theres no real way to skip the wait times. I was 30 minutes early on a Saturday and waited 30 minutes after they were supposed to be open along with many others and ended up leaving. The cuts great if youre willing to wait but the wait time kills it for me

Took a friend in after calling to see if we needed to make an appointment . I was told no, got there at 4:45 and the place was packed. We waited 2 hrs and 45 minutes. Being told, your next. I was extremely disappointed when I saw more than one person who had come in after us, getting their hair cut first . One of the guys even argued that the person he took next was there before us. I absolutely saw the guy walk in at least 1.5 hours after we had been waiting!!! Also, the floor was covered in hair. Not sanitary at all!!!

I was out of town looking for a place to get a haircut. I asked how long the wait was and they told me about an hour. I was there three hours and the haircut wasnt the best at that. I wish I could say Id give them another try but I cant. There were a lot of smoke breaks while clients were waiting and since it was close to closing which I understand, they opened the door for some but not for others which made it seem sketchy.

Today was my first visit to the shop just to be welcomed by a very rude barber, actually I wasnt welcomed and thats what sparked the exchange of words between him and I. Hes the first chair when you first come in, I spoke when I came in the shop, asked if he had any openings, he pointed me very rudely n told me it was two barbers in the back of the shop, I stated so thats how you guys welcome new people to the shop and he said whats up in a nasty tone so I told him he could keep that, as I was walking away, he became very disrespectful raising his voice, getting loud and over talking me. this was my first and last time stepping foot in that place, I rather stick to making my trips to Chicago to get my boys haircut. I refuse to give my service to ignorance . what type of place of business dont welcome new comers, and make you feel welcome so you can continue coming back? hes very lucky I was calm as I was because things could of took a left turn. so no I do not recommend this place.

I tried lots of places for my son’s hair and he always came out looking bad. It was hard to find someone that could cut his type of hair. This is the only place that does a good job.

Horrible serviceIf you come to this establishment with the intention of getting a haircut youll be waiting for an eternity!(Not sure why; its not that serious)I have lived in NYC, Chicago, ATL & other major cities that can accommodate their customers; I cant fathom what up with this small town hole in the wall...They NEVER open on time.I waited for Vic my barber; while the owner took 45 mins to show up.Dont try to get a cut on Sunday; youll have to guess when they open or they just dont show up!No appointments (would not matter, they so slow)Its nice to be in business for yourself; however you should try treating your loyal customers like they matter.Im here till December for work, I travel to Chicago for my haircut & great service!

Dont come here unless you have atleast 5 hours to wait. everytime i come here, i wait 5-8 hours. they do not take appointments or go in order by who came first like they say. when i come in, there would be 4 people ahead of my son but he would cut 5 more extra people that came in after my son before he calls my son to his chair. and when he cuts my sons hair, it looks as if it was cut weeks ago. never looks fresh. i will not be coming back or recommending this shop.

Waited 3 hours to get a fade came out with a Forest Gump hair cut!! Told the barber thats not what I asked for and he ignored what I said! $20 waisted and 3 hours, to get home and shave it off!!IF YOU WANT A FADE, DONT GO HERE!!!TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!Deserves getting ZERO stars!!

Waited 2 and half hours and ended up walking out. In that time two customers came in after me and got their hair cut. Apparently there isnt any order to who gets their hair cut even though there isnt any appointment. Complete waste of time and I will not be going back.
