Really honest and upfront people. More interested in keeping people safe and doing the right thing than in getting $$$ out of customers. Also I appreciated that they were covid safe - wearing masks indoors and when I came in when the desk person didnt have a mask (he didnt have any other customers at the time so no need), he immediately grabbed one and put it on when I approached. I have little kids who arent eligible for vaccination yet so I greatly appreciate that kind of respect and consideration 🙌.I would highly recommend.

This will definitely be our go-to place! My wife and I are both from out of state and put off getting much needed work bc going to a shop can be so stressful and unnecessarily expensive. This place was so honest and reasonably priced. Our car and truck are perfect now and we feel so much better knowing they’re ready for winter. Eric was so knowledgeable, comforting, and delightful. Never been there before. Came in to get a nail in my tire removed and plugged. Super friendly, did it while I had breakfast at the cafe they referred me to. Reasonable cost to do the work. Great easy experience. For sure they will be where I go to buy tires on my next go around.

Took my car in to have timing belt, water pump, and an axle replaced. Very reasonable price.Belt began to squeak badly so I scheduled an appointment as the work is still under warranty.Brought in the vehicle and lady at the service desk was EXCEPTIONALLY RUDE! I was asking about an oil change and asked what kind of oil they had and the reply back was the good kind in a condescending tone. After spending 1700 plus dollars of mine this is not how a customer should be treated. Wont be going back to Cooper and am not recommending to any friends or strangers for that matter. Go where youre appreciated.

I lived in Lafayette for about 3 years, and Coopers was the go-to for me and all my roommates various automotive crises and check-ups. Im someone that can easily feel intimidated walking into any random car shop, but the folks at Coopers were always friendly and straightforward. I never felt like I was being sold something I didnt need - theres an honest, down-to-earth integrity about Coopers that I havent really felt anywhere else. I had to move recently and one of the things Im going to miss most is being able to take my car here when something inevitably goes wrong, haha. I cant recommend them highly enough.

Had my car towed to Cooper’s on a Sat afternoon due to the lower radiator hose blowing off and coolant spilling everywhere. First thing Mon morning when they were open, they diagnosed and corrected the problem. I had not made an appt, my car was just waiting there for them Mon morning. Cooper’s is awesome!

So when I spoke to the gentleman on the phone, he was very friendly and welcoming. After that conversation I was encouraged to bring my Subaru outback in to get all the oils looked at. I then spoke to a woman at the front desk who was very rude. She acted like I was hassling her by bringing Cooper’s automotive some business. I brought my car in to get the oils looked at and it was $70. They didn’t replace any parts. The woman told me that my car wouldn’t last much longer and that my Car converter needed to be replaced. I asked her what her recommendations where and she said “just drive it till it dies we don’t have Cat converters here”. She also told me that “cat converter‘s are impossible to find” After looking around, Mghty Muffler in Westminster does in fact have Cat converter’s. This woman was just very rude and not helpful at all.

Everything you’ve read is true. They are friendly, honest and don’t try to sell you stuff your car doesn’t need. If you think you need to be a mechanic in order to understand yours, you probably need to check out Cooper’s.

My highlander hybrid had a weird computer/electrical problem. Eric and his technician combed through 2 dozen service bulletins and nailed down the problem quickly and effectively. Ultimately it was something only the dealership could fix, but Eric made sure I understood the issue and could communicate it to the dealership. I brought my truck to Coopers for an oil change and tire rotation yesterday. This place is exactly what I look for in an auto shop, professional, knowledgeable and kind to their customers. I had several questions about my trucks oil life that I have never gotten satisfactory answers on, and Eric, the Assistant Manager, took the time to thoroughly answer this and several other questions about the vehicle.Unfortunately, not being much of a car guy, I sometimes feel condescended to when I bring my vehicles in for service. There is none of that happening at Coopers.My girlfriend recommended this shop, and I am happy she did. We both plan to be return customers.

I highly recommend Coopers! I had my vehicle towed there after my rear wheel was bent due to an accident. They were able to get my car fixed the next day and charged a VERY fair price. Eric explained everything in detail to me and I appreciated that he did not try to get me to replace things that didnt truly need replacing. I am very glad to have a place like this in town, and will bring my vehicle there for any future repairs.

This shop is reliable and trust worthy. After the problem with our Subaru Forester was diagnosed. I asked the mechanic if it was something that could be done at home by myself. He gave me his honest opinion and walked me through some areas where I might get hung up doing it on my own. The issue with the car has been ongoing and was missed by various other shops. Coopers automotive spent some time finding the actual problem and didnt just put a bandaid on it. We will definitely be going back the mechanics are honest and its a shop you can trust!!!Thanks!!!

I bought an old 2001 Tundra and it died on me two days after buying it. Got it towed to Coopers Automotive because it was the closest (I’m new to the area). Immediately Eric was reassuring and helpful. Turns out it was a difficult to diagnose electrical issue from the truck being so rusted and having corrosion in the wires. I truly expected the bill to be in the thousands since it took 3 days to figure out what happened. The price was very fair and they were able to squeeze in an oil change too.I’m sold, I’ll be using this shop from now on. The service is excellent and feels trustworthy. Have been coming to Coopers for years with a dancing plethora of cars. They are always super friendly. Have convenient online scheduling and are completely fair with pricing. I trust them with the care of all my vehicles and will keep coming back as long as I am around.

Took them 9 hours to get my car back to me after a check engine light diagnostic, and that is with scheduling an appointment for as soon as they opened. Had to call a few times and ask when it was going to be ready to be picked up. At least one employee was not wearing a mask properly (under the nose). Diagnosis for check engine light cost $150. Do not recommend.

They were friendly, professional and able to get the part needed to complete my servicing within hours (after the place down the street said they didn’t have the part and were unable to help connect us with another of their locations that did.) I trusted their assessment and appreciated their willingness to have us come take a look to verify issues before doing any work or charging us. Good, honest shop.

I had a morning appointment for just diagnostics, but once they determined my front brakes were the only issue, they offered to just keep it, work on it, and have it back to me by the afternoon since I work evenings! everyone there was incredibly kind and professional, especially Jessica. i’m used to having the tools handy to do the work myself, but they are back in IL currently, so i’m glad to have found this shop. the prices were very reasonable, it’s a 5 minute walk from my apartment, they didn’t try to upsell me at all, and even had my car fixed and ready to go 2 hours earlier than expected!! i will absolutely be using their services again in the future! thank you guys so much!!

I was recommended to Coopers by a neighbor. She was recommended Coopers buy a couple other people. Ive taken a couple different cars to them for work and always happy with my experience. As a woman I have experience many of those automotive repair shops that try to take advantage of a woman who may not know about her car. I do know a lot about cars and always shocked how many of those shops are out there! Coopers is NOT one of those. Honest and not in the biz of adding repairs that are nit needed! Plus Eric has the best customer service In the industry and is the reason I will keep taking my car and recommending others to take their cars to Coopers. Eric even took the time one day when I called to talk to somebody about a potential vehicle my son was going to buy. Being as knowledgeable as he is he told me what to look for, what to expect and gave us the tools to make sure we werent buying a lemon. Take your car to Coopers!! Quick and easy! They were very up front about things I will need to fix in the future, but not at the time necessary. Very honest with me, and I didnt feel pressured to pay for anything besides what I initially went in for. Plus, I thought I had a tail light out but they told me I didnt. I highly recommend Coopers Automotive! Drove out from Illinois on Monday and noticed my transmission wasnt acting like it should. Made an appointment with Coopers and they were very helpful with explaining what the possible issue was from good to bad! Dropped it off and just picked it up today. Issue fixed, hopefully permanently but again Eric detailed all possible scenarios and costs involved! Ill be in Colorado another week and will communicate with him as to how everything is. And will definitely being it back if others issues arise. Im glad to know there is a reputable mechanic so close to my daughter who lives in Erie!

We have been loyal fans of Coopers as long as weve lived here. They are always fair in their pricing and they stand behind their work. Recently, they ran a diagnostic on my car that indicated that I needed two ignition coils to be replaced. They did that work beautifully and the car ran great. When it broke down, they discovered it was the other two engine coils at fault. They replaced them without charging for a second diagnostic fee since the repair was related to the one several months ago. And this is the fourth or fifth time that they have responded this way in the time weve known them. They are amazing. Dont think twice about going here. Just go!!!

When I went in to pay my bill there were two people in the office not wearing masks and who did not appear to be in possession of any masks (one seemed to be a customer and the other a mechanic). Fortunately, the cashier who took my payment was wearing a mask. Nevertheless, it is hard for me to trust a business with my car when it is willing to be so irresponsible with regard to public health.

Cooper’s is always great. My car got bad news but it was delivered with kindness, efficiency and helpfulness. The people that work there are very knowledgeable and good at what they do.

This is the first time I took my car to Cooper’s and I think it is safe to say that I will be coming back. I had a pre-trip inspection done prior to a cross country trip and also had the oil changed and tires rotated. When I picked up the car, they walked me through every check that was performed to the point of what mm of brake pad I had left with comparison to what it would be when new. I also appreciated that I had asked for a tire balance but they came back and told me it was unneeded and they did not want to charge me for an unneeded service. The final piece I would like to highlight is that I have a small leak on my differential and the Coopers associate talked me through what the leak was and suggested I reach out to the manufacturer first as it may be covered by the power train warranty. Nice to know that they are looking out for you as a customer and not just trying to make an easy buck!

Nice, accommodating and treat our 2009 Subaru so well! I was very appreciative that they allowed me to do a contactless drop off and pick up of our car for a routine oil change.

Cant speak to their work, but I called to ask for a rough quote for a specific repair, and was told that is not given over the phone (which is fine). I asked them if I needed to bring it in to diagnose and was told the diagnostic fee was $120-180, and was NOT applicable to the repair should it stay. That seems REALLY far off, and inconsistent with any other repair facility Ive worked with. its fine to charge for diagnostics if the repair work is not done there, but to charge regardless seems off. I will look for other service.AS AN EDIT to Coopers reply, another local shop charged the diagnostic fee that was applied to the repair since I had the repair done at the same location (they said that offer is good for 30 days). As thought, front wheel bearings (nothing electrical), which was diagnosed with a 10min test drive and inspection that took in total about 30min to determine. Again, its fine to charge a diagnostic fee for your time, but to not apply the diagnostic fee to the repair when done at the same location and time is very atypical, at least from the 3-4 other shops I called in the area. Feel free to disagree or disregard. You have good ratings and happy customers, but unfortunately Im not inclined to pay the shop just for them to figure out what to charge me, and not apply that fee/charge to the repair work being done. Total repair work was $1100 at the other shop.

Fantastic service. Front office staff was kind, courteous and efficient. Especially Jessica Everett who assisted me. I got an oil change and they were quick and on point. They checked my tires and advised me to get them changed before next winter but didn’t try to sell me anything extra or push any unnecessary maintenance on me. Will definitely be bringing my business to them more in the future!

This is one of the highest rated mechanics I have ever seen. I was referred here due to a warranty issue from a previous mechanic. Coopers took better care of me than any repair shop I have ever been to. Eric remembered me across multiple weeks and was perfectly transparent about repairs and cost. Everything came out all right, and the car drives like new. If you want a shop you can trust... this is it.

I got an oil change there and there was a $20 off coupon on their site for Moms through the end of May so a synthetic oil change was $54. Not bad! They were prompt to take my van in to begin service and finished after exactly one hour. I took a nice stroll along public road while I waited as right now waiting in their building is not allowed per COVID rules.
