If i could rate them with no stars i would went there for a oil change took a hour came out with a stripped oil plug bolt then when i asked them to see if they could replace it they were gunna charge me definitely will not be coming back spent over 100$ for a oil change

This place saved my day. Literally going in for an oil change and as I pulled in, my Jeeps ball joint broke. They were able to take me back to work, fix it the same day, and at a great price. It is hard to find a transparent, trustworthy, skilled and knowledgeable mechanic - but that is exactly what I found with Master Tech. They were upfront about potential costs, including best and worst case scenarios.When I had problems after repairs they quickly addressed them. Recently moved to Kyle and have taken my vehicle to Master Tech twice now and have been very happy with them! Today I had brake issues and they told me they did some research and if I took it to a dealer it would be covered by a recall warranty! Not sure I would have got that info from some places. Love Duke and Matt, the Master Tech guys are awesome. I wont ever go to the dealer again. I take all of my vehicles to them and recommend them to anyone that mentions needing a good mechanic or that might be having issues with their cars.Just as an example, A/C was flaking out in August and took it in. They could have easily charged me for a replacement part, but cleaning up the connecting prongs to attach to the sensor cleared the issue for a small service charge and I was on my way. Theyre just good people like that... Thanks guys!!

Just dropped my truck off on Wednesday afternoon for much needed u-joints and carrier bearing replacement on my drive shaft. It was done and ready by early Thursday afternoon. Master Tech has timely service, approachable staff and quality workmanship. They diagnosed my truck quickly and called me to explain the different options I had to save money. Not every shop does that. Prices were fair, but considering the level of service received, it was a bargain.

I have gone to Master-Tech Automotive since I moved to Kyle, Texas about a year ago. They have always seem honest and trustworthy. Until, Friday Jan. 19, 2018, when I went in to get my windshield wipers looked at. My wipers had gone out, so without a doubt I knew Duke and his crew could tell me what was wrong. After about two hours Matt informed me that I needed a whole new junction box just to fix the wipers. I didn’t understand why, because everything else in my car was working. He informed me that he can order the part, but I would need to make a deposit of ~$700.00 (which is the part price) before he could order it. The part would arrived around February. I believe what Matt was saying to be true so I informed him I’ll be back on Monday after speaking with my parents. However, after my parents and I called around it seem as though a fuse needed to be replace and not the entire junction box. My dad told me to take my car to the dealership that same day. After being there they informed me that someone had put an incorrect fuse in and that all I needed was the correct fuse in order for my wipers to work. I was devastated to learn that Master-Tech Automotive lied and charged me $95 for a incorrect diagnostic and then put the incorrect fuse in my car. I will not return to them for any service. They have broken my trust. This was a big deal because I was going to give them over $700.00 plus other fees to replace something that was not broken. I am a college student who don’t have $700.00 to waste. I am very disappointed in this shop.P.s. I ended up getting my money back. However, he had to basically double check to make sure what I was saying was correct by calling the dealership. He told me that my wipers would go out because I need a whole new junction box. I told him that Toyota dealership stated that my box was fine. He insisted that it would go out again. After learning that his technician incorrectly diagnose my car he failed to apologize. Instead, Duke (owner) made excuses as to why it was improperly diagnosed. He did not apologize at any point. He begin blaming it on other people as if his shop was not at fault. He wanted to get a picture of my junction box, when I refused he hung up in my face.

Weve taken three vehicles over a ten year period to Master Tech and they have always done a good, fair job for a reasonable fee. Wouldnt hesitate to take a vehicle to them and would recommend them to anyone.

I havent needed service for a while, but when I do need service, the work is done quickly and at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend Master Tech Automotive.

I had blown the rear differential in my truck and needed a fix as soon as possible because I am from out of town. The guys at master tech got me in the shop and had a diagnosis within the hour. It took only a couple weeks to complete the job and that was even despite them getting shipped the incorrect parts. They maintained a constant stream of open communication and made sure I knew exactly what was going on throughout the entire process. The guys are truly professionals and would take any of my vehicles to them again. Thanks a million guys!

Its hard to find a reputable repair shop but these guys go above and beyond your expectations. They came recommended to me by a co-worker so I took my Toyota to them a few weeks ago to check out some noises it was making. Duke went out of his way to figure out what was going on!! I used to bring my car in when there was something wrong; now, I bring my car in for routine oil changes because they take the time to inspect the car with each oil change. As a result, I am able to continue extending the life of my vehicle(s).

I have a 2000 Toyota tundra and a 2003 Honda Accord. I have been going to Master Tech sense they opened on Button Rd. They have always diagnosed the problem the first time and they fix it. Because of this I have not had to buy a new car which has saved me tens of thousands of dollars. I help by buying major brand gas and oil. You cannot save money on gas and oil.

First time I went was for a transmission leak. Was told 9 bolts where missing and was low on transmission fluid. After being notified that there would be a charge of 300.00 to replace bolts and to add fluid. Since I was in need of my vehicle had no choice. 2nd time around I took my vehicle in because my car waa over heating. Was told I would need a new radiator and a flush which would cost 780.00 to replace and that didnt even include having the thermostat replaced; if I wanted that replaced it would cost another 150.00. Since I was not in a position to really take it anywhere and needed it done asap I had them fix it or at least I thought it was fixed. So a month or so maybe less, my car started over heating again. I called them on a Friday around 2pm and told them What was going on. He (owner) told me to take it in on Monday. I could not wait until Monday needed it done asap because its my only car. So I stopped by and told him I needed it done and he told me the tech had left early and was gone for the weekend. So now Im stuck without a car. While I drive my car home was able to talk to a mechanic, who stopped by and checked everything. He stated that there was no coolant flush done because of the color of the coolant coming out; which was orange. So He took off the hoses and flushed it w water. I had to replace my thermostat myself, which took me about 1hour, but the whole point was for me not to have to do any work myself. On Monday I called in and explained to the owner that there was no flush done, he stated that it was and I disagreed. So he told me to go up to shop and talk about it. So we discussed it and he gave me a portion of a refund. Now few weeks later my car is over heating again and now the radiator is leaking. I take it back to the shop and was told I have a blown head gasket and thats why the radiator has a leak even though it had supposedly just been replaced a month prior to this. I believe possibly the radiator caused the car to over heat and blow a head gasket. Now was told that the radiator would not be covered under warranty since there was a blown head gasket and that was the cause for the radiator to go bad. So now Im screwed out of paying for nothing when all in all believe it should of been done correctly the first time around for 780.00 dollars. Granted I did get a little money back, but doesnt seem to add up for my troubles. At this time I will probably have to buy a new engine. I have already spent alot of time taking everything apart on my car to get to head gasket, but figured with all the money was going to spend for new parts might as well purchase a new engine., SO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING THERE!! very over priced and didnt get the job done right the first time. The owner is nice man, but there is nothing nice about having to leave from a mechanic shop only to have to do more repairs. It has cause me a lot of problems.

I had carburator problems and a very bad oil leak. Duke was really friendly and informative about parts I needed to get my car running right. So happy I found a mechanic nearby I can trust with my car.

I wanna share my experience when I visited master tech fee days ago. Took my 2010 camaro to have it checked out cuz the engine light came on. The minute I walked into the office. There was a sense of good positve energy, very welcoming when you first walked in .I explained the problem and they were on it immediately, service was outstanding they took the time to explain certain things. Gave good advise on questions that were asked of them. Friendly service. Above all things was the HONESTY. . didnt smell a 🐀 they spoke with integrity and very confident in their work. Knew what they were doing and wasnt out to rip off anyone or charge an arm and a leg for something that was minor .Ive been to a lot of places with my other camaro and havd been ripped off lied to Nd just flat out bad business . this place you cant go wrong. I would recommend this to everyone that can appreciate good work honesty and positive people tgis is the number ONE PLACE to go to have car fixed or even ask a simple honest question.
