Very friendly and nice and done a great job..Plus they put plastic covers on my seat and steering wheel
Phil kept me up to date on the repairs and patiently explained all the charges. Had an aftermarket warranty and he did all the leg work to make sure what all it covered. Not many major repair shops will put in that effort (Brad Howell especially). Very pleased with Phil and the whole crew.
My GMC Diesel Truck lost power and I was not able to drive it. I had it towed to Eriks Chevrolet. It did not have any codes on the computer showing something was wrong. They stated it was a fuel solenoid and after a very long discussion where I stated several times that it was not the fuel solenoid they stated that the GM tech assist has stated this was the problem. To my regret - I finally agreed to the repair. The did replace the solenoid (1600.00 charge) and told me that although this was bad it did not fix the problem and that another problem still existed (two problems??). After having my truck for two weeks they called and said the fuel injector pump is failed and the truck need a new pump, fuel rails and injectors at a cost of 10,000.00. Yes you did hear that correct - 10,000.00. I asked to speak to the mechanic and challenged him on the diagnosis. He stated that he did not believe the injector pump was failed but this is what GM assist is telling him to replace. I told the service manager to stop working on the truck and I was sending a tow truck to pick it up. I towed it to Great Lakes Truck and Auto. They worked on it for less than two hours and found a failed mass air flow sensor at a cost of 178.00 dollars. Diesel truck runs perfect after this repair. ERIKs had my truck for two weeks, charged me more than 1600.00 and did not fix it. I took it to a non-GM service repair center and it was fixed in less than two hours. When I requested money back from Eriks Chevrolet service manager - they told me that I had approved the repairs and they did nothing wrong as they were following the direct instruction provided by GM tech Assist. When I drop my vehicle off at a service center my contact is with that repair facility. When Erik Chevrolet contacted GM tech assist - that was their contract not mine. To tell me they owe me nothing as they did nothing wrong - is an insult to me as they did nothing right either. A good repair shop is hard to find. If you find one stick with it or they may stick it to you.
