I had my first appointment with Matt yesterday Oct 6th. He was professional and made me feel comfortable sharing with him. I was a bit early his appointment before me got cancelled so he went ahead and seen me. I would highly recommend him. It was easy to get a appointment with them.

I considered counseling for years before I actually took the plunge to seek a therapist out. I felt so vulnerable and anxious before my first session with Emily, but I can’t express how grateful I am to have found myself in such good hands. From day one, Emily put me at ease and made me feel heard and validated without judgement. But perhaps most importantly, she’s helped me hear my inner voice in a way I never have before. In my life, I often find myself diminishing my needs to elevate those of my loved ones - but that means my sense of self disappears as a result. By providing a neutral sounding board and guiding questions, Emily has helped me know my needs, wants, and my own self better. It’s such a gift as I navigate big life changes. If you’re hesitant to see a counselor, I’ve been there! But the growth I’ve seen in myself is worth any discomfort and risk it took to seek help.

I met with Emily Heird of KCS regularly throughout 2019. I have since recommended her to several contacts in need of counseling related to challenges in parenting with anxiety, romantic relationships, and self improvement. She is a fantastic resource for bibliotherapy and homework, if thats your process. You will find Emily sharp and honest. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs help.

My experience with Knoxville Counseling Services has been wonderful and my family and I feel so lucky to have found Courtney! She has helped our child through some difficult emotions and has also helped me and my husband understand how to better support our child and each other in the process. Her approach is relatable and laid back and she has always included us, giving us concrete approaches to use at home and school. My child also loves her and cant wait to see her each week! The office is very easy to access and has always been clean and welcoming. I would highly recommend Courtney Brandon if you are looking for a therapist for your child.

Emily has helped me through a few transitional periods since I’ve started seeing her. She’s always made sure to help me keep my head straight, hold me accountable with compassion and never made me feel judged. Hands down I’d recommend anyone to see her that’s looking for someone who helps handle situations with ease and focus.

If youre searching for a counselor or therapist, Im sure you know how frustrating it can become to find a good fit. I honestly feel like it was pure luck that connected me with KCS, and Im so thankful for it. During my time meeting with Emily, Ive been moving through some difficult transitions and having her guidance along with her way of compassionately holding me accountable has been invaluable. I highly recommend counseling for everyone, and often suggest KCS when Im asked.

My experience with Knoxville Counseling Services has been both positive and transformative. Meeting and establishing a counseling relationship with my counselor was easy and stress-free and my counselor’s approach to counseling is both direct and compassionate. As a helping professional myself, I believe everyone should consider counseling services (even if an issue isn’t presenting) and Knoxville Counseling Services is a great place to establish that care.

Only booked two sessions and was double booked both times. First time I had to change my schedule because she double booked. Next week showed up same appointment time and she had once again doubled booked and took a new client over us. We spoke up and said we have an appointment scheduled now too and her response was oh I thought you guys looked familiar. Really!!!!

Excellent services from Courtney for my middle schooler who struggles with ODC and anxiety. Ive had no problems with getting appointments changed and all services are professional and timely. KCS also bills insurance, which is a fabulous addition. I highly recommend!
