I am so happy I made the switch for my Primary Care to Metro Family Care. The Providers Dr Jairo Fortich and Nurse Practitioner Susan Hicks are very knowledgeable and helpful and friendly, they actually listen to the problems you are having and don’t dismiss them. I love coming here for my doctors appointment, small but comforting family care. I would definitely 100% recommend this doctor for Primary Care.

Dr. Fortich and his staff are pretty awesome. I always feel welcomed, safe, and comfortable while in his office. Ive experienced a lot of doctors who dont really seem to listen to their patients... Dr. Fortich really takes the time to listen and takes what you say seriously. They do seem to have a strangely high turn over but, Ive always receive quality care here.It should also be noted that this office is LGBT friendly.

So after looking at these reviews, there is some knowledge and medical terms that the reviewers would only have if they were in the same field of work. Therefore it’s obvious these are biased reviews. I have seen some turnover and I do miss Carla ... a lot. However I have only received excellent care here. Also I have never had anything come back from my insurance as “not covered” Actually the reverse is my experience. They go out of their way to ask my insurance if something is covered before proceeding. I was open and honest about not being able to afford anything that wasn’t covered by my insurance. I do not have the insurance that was mentioned in the other review as the “only insurance they accept” Also if you think about it, would you rather a former ER doctor who has developed a quick flight or fight response and is literally experienced in saving lives, or a grad student with daddy’s money who bought a residency ? Also the website says 6 and they have seen me sometimes running past that. This is my second year visiting them and I hope nothing ever happens. They were so attentive I even took the front desk some flowers because of the great experience I had. I’m not related to or friends with anyone here outside of our patient/doctor relationship. I just had to defend them because I don’t want someone who needs understanding and help pass up on this practice due to two reviews that you can tell are from old staff. 🤷‍♂️As far as bedside manners go, the staff remembers things months later and immediately follows up. I told them in November I was proposing when I went on a cruise in January. I came in for my appointment in February and they were so eager to find out the outcome ! Like they had been there wondering if they said yes to the proposal or not ! Try this place and make your own assessment.

Horrible practice. The owner is an ER doctor and has no experience caring for patients in a primary care setting. He’s also a compulsive liar. The office manager is ignorant and easily threatened by anyone who knows more than her. 20+ employees hired/fired within 4 months is insane and a huge red flag. This place is going down fast. Insurance fraud is running rampant. BEWARE they are not credentialed with any insurances other than BCBS. Claims deny for being out-of-network and they attempt to bill the patients; which is ILLEGAL! Especially since they do not notify the patients they are not in-network with any of these insurances. Please call your insurance company yourself to inquire if they are in network with them; the office will lie. They do not provide any type of payment plans or payment arrangements. Patients are required to pay their outstanding balances in full, or they can not be seen for any follow-up appointments. I highly recommend passing this place by and trusting your primary care with a more reputable practice. The ONLY good thing about this practice was the nurse practitioner, Carla Spurgeon who was forced to resign as she refused to conform to their unethical practices. Carla provided compassionate care and took excellent care of her patients. She is highly recommended, however is no longer associated with this fraudulent practice. This is my honest opinion. Good luck.
