Im dont like to see people getting treated wrong . Im not better than anyone .I wouldnt lie to make people look bad. Took a car to toms that nothing was wrong with except for it just needed to be lined up. It had no lights on but when got it back it did . There were also a loud noise near the front it sounded like. We asked Tom about he tried to make a sob story and acted like it wasnt safe to drive seemed as if he was just trying to scare to make more money Im just a sinner I ant no better than anyone I cant stand to see people get treated badly . Get it together stop doing people badly and charging out rageous prices
I always get fair fast and good service with kindness
Our church was looking for a trustworthy mechanic to help a college kid in our church. Tom was great to work with and his crew did a great job. Highly recommend!
Good people good mechanic knows what theyre doing on cars do check them out
Very nice place, people very nice very helpful will go back there to have more work done very honest owner.
I took my 66 Mustang to Toms the middle of Sep 2020. Tom said he had one of the best auto electrical men in Knoxville. I had had EFI installed and asked them check out the electrical wiring and to fix the gasoline fume odor. He also upgraded the alternator cable. A week and a half later Tom called. The charge was $1400 (as much as I had paid for the EFI installation). His electrical guru, Dean, said that I had an serious electrical problem and he had removed my battery disconnect switch. (I had to ask for it to be returned). I had brought it in to have the electrical checked and fixed and do not know why he left it unrepaired. Especially for $1400! I also found later that my turn signal indicators were no longer working!Driving away, I still noticed a gasoline smell but assumed that it was a residual odor. However, it got worse and the next week I called to have them check it again. I also had them add a flexible extension to the oil sending unit which had gone out. This time I was charged $800. The fuel problem was fixed but I got charged again for something that should have been fixed the first time. (It seems Tom doesnt stand behind his work.) When I started the car, I noticed that the radio wouldnt work. When I pointed this out to Dean, he just shrugged and turned back to what he was working on. Again a lack of concern for the customer. So after paying $2200 I have an oil sending unit I can now replace, a heavier alternator wire and no gasoline fumes. After leaving my car with Dean, the electrical guru, for almost a month, I have no turn signal indicators, no radio and my fog lights that I had wired as driving lights no longer work correctly. Oh yeah, the rear passenger window somehow slipped the tracks and I now have to push/pull it when I lower/raise it. It worked fine before took it to Toms. The price seems a little extreme for what I got.And to top it all, I found Toms customer skills to be lacking to say the least. After this ride, I will not be taking any car to them again. And I certainly would not recommend them to anyone that cares about their car.
Super nice folks. They plugged my tire and got me back on the road in less than 15 minutes!!
IT WAS CLEAN THE EMPLOYEES WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND THEY HAD GREAT PRICES. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.
Shady shop...dont go here. You will end up regretting it.
Attempted to charge me 500 for a simple alternator replacement. No thanks.
Had brakes done on a 2103 Ram C/V, it is a work van and they knew that. Charged $1000 to do front and rear brakes, rotors etc. Reason i had them do it because they gave me one year or 12,000 mile warranty. They redid the brakes once. Had brake squeaking again and refused to do anything abour it . Tom the owner said the van was to heavy, but it never changed from the first time it went in. Shouldnt give a warranty if you are not going to stand behind it. Regardless of the situation. Took my money and didnt stand behind their word. I could have had this done anywhere else for half the price. This is a dishonest practice. Customers BEWARE !!!!
Good fast and fair service. They are reasonably priced and communicate well what the problem is and how much it will be to fix it.
Great service. Reasonable price. Listen to you and not oversell. They can be trusted. That hard to find these days
Nice friendly and very helpful
Very nice people, enjoyed my experience. They really helped me out by staying open later than they usually would so I could pick up my vehicle at the end of the day.
Very good, honest work. They dont take advantage of the fact that Im a woman and not very knowledgeable about car engines. I feel safe there.
Hes honest and great prices
Super friendly. Fast service.
This is a fine establishment. I have been taking my old Jag there for a few years. They are trustworthy and very knowledgeable about what they do. I recommend them for any job.
Great place to take youre ride! They did a great job on my mustang ..Thanks guys!
Very friendly, informative, and great work! I will definitely be taking my vehicle back to Toms when needed!
These guys did a great job on our trucks front end.
Awesome place. Got new tires for my Prius and got it done in a reasonable amount of time. They offer free transport to work or home.
Refused to fix my car or either leave it on their property till they have room for it. With may be 4-5 cars on the lot at that moment. Had to call wrecker again and bring it to different place. Didnt make it clear about hourly rate, said they charging for whole job done, not by hour.
They made a miracle happen. Thank you Toms Auto Clinic. We were traveling for vacation and the rear differential on my suv failed. They were able to not only find the part but got me back on the road in just a few hours. For such a big repair in that amount of time was a miracle. The staff are all friendly. Highly recommended wether your local or out of town. Thanks again!!!!!!!😆
Toms Auto Clinic is a great place to get your automobile fixed .
Dubbed Crooks Of Knoxvile 2018 by me and I will tell everyone I know. They really love taking advantage of the handicapped. My mother and father-n-law who are both disabled, father-n-law being deaf and mute. I had them take their 02 honda odyssey to them to replace a power steering hose. He called back and said he found 2 oil leaks. We told him to fix them also. He charges around $280 for all the repairs. A few days later I was outside when they were driving the van I noticed the power steering pump was still whinning real bad so I popped the hood and I noticed he did not replace the correct hose. The power steering fluid was still being agitated with air and over flowing from the bubbles from the pump sucking air thru the hole in the hose. I had them take it back down there to tell them they replaced the wrong hose and he told them he replaced the leaky one, I can assure you if it was leaking and right up front I would have replaced it but the one leaking was the one that goes under to the steering rack and my ramps dont give me enough working room to fix it myself .He proceeded to tell her that she needed a power steering pump . If this was the case I wonder why this wasnt discused when he checked out tue car, or when she pucked up the car and he gave the all fixed notification. But instead he waits until they are unhappy when they realize the got took for $280 and he tries to get more out of them. Smh .Therefore I dubb this repair shop the Crooks of Knoxville who prey on the handicapped
A little high on price but quality work
New engine in for me....they did a good job
Used them 4 times over past year. Honest, knowledgeable, gave me advice that saved me from buying a lemon, they will get all my business.
Horriable experienc and found out their buissness is very unprofessional and very dishonest!!! I brought my truck in to have them fix it about a month or two ago beacuse I didnt have time to do it my self because I was working alot .. Well the day I walked in there I gave them a list of parts that I had already done myself and didnt need them to change an told them what it needed and the they said ok (we had a verbale agreement) well I got a phone call a couple days later saying that his mechanic had tested my parts and they were no good so that what the problem was an they replaced them with their parts and also told me its going to be $470.00 for their parts an labor and said the truck will make it home but dont make it a daily driver.. So I go by there and they let me start it an guess what its running exactly the same!!! I said well obvouisly those parts i told you NOT to touch were not the problem so why should i have to pay u for parts i put on myself and u changed them without my premission an my truck is not fixed.... my truck is still running the same as it was when i brought it to you and he started treating my wife and i very disrespectful and using foul language so we leave and my truck has been there ever since and I have drove by there twice an they keep my driver door open in the pouring rain ruining my interior which i also took videos of and on nov 1st 2017 he called back an said after friday its 20 a day added to the bill.... Why should i have to pay when they didnt fix it????!!!!!!
