Transmission died on my 08 Explorer a couple weeks ago. Did some research online and I couldn’t pass up on the positive reviews regarding this AAMCO in particular. Had my vehicle towed there and dropped off over the weekend and they got started on it later the next week. Had my Explorer done and ready not even three days later and it drives better than ever. Considering they did an entire transmission rebuild and fixed the worn out parts, the time they had it done in was remarkable. It shifts incredibly smooth now and I would definitely recommend AAMCO’s service. Transmissions are always going to be on the expensive side when it comes to automotive repairs, so be prepared for a decent bill, but AAMCO does warranty their work for a fair amount of time. Hats off to the crew at AAMCO!
We take our company vehicles to Aamco. Daniel is always attentive to our needs and always shoots us straight. Thanks guys
They quickly diagnosed the problem and called to discuss it right away. Repair was done quickly at a fair shop price. I will definitely recommend them and also return myself for future repairs.
My visit at this business was great very friendly staff. They gave me issues promptly and got my car running! Highly recommend this shop to anyone very honest people who will do you right!
First time there .. they did a nice job .. nice service, good people .. clean and well kept
They were amazing and very helpful. We broke down from out of state and they were very nice and fixed my car so we could still enjoy our vacation! They are miracle workers!
I brought my 2006 Toyota tundra in because the rear main seal was leaking. I brought it in Wednesday midday and had it back to me Friday morning. Honest quality professional I highly recommend this location for your transmission work the branch manager Daniel was very helpful and had a reasonable price for the repairs thank you guys for helping me out with the transmission I appreciate it
AAMCO and the staff are great to work with. On the other hand I have had my 2015 Chevy Trax there for over a month. It would have been great if American Car Credit would communicate with them so they could have repaired my vehicle. I give AAMCO 5 Stars and American Car Credit .05 stars
AAMCO is always professional and courteous. Daniel always makes the car repair painless. Would not take our vehicle anywhere else. Thanks to Daniel and Danielle.
Great place they got me right in
All staff are friendly and helpful. The price for the repair was reasonable.
Had issues with my recently acquired 1971 Chevy Nova... they got my car straightened up and transmission is astonishingly smooth now... I had no idea the old set up was so problematic until they rebuilt mine...More importantly, the entire experience was professional. Daniel was an excellent communicator from beginning to end. Transparency was helpful; they kept me informed of progress and showed me old parts versus new parts. (BTW shop is clean and organized). I went from feeling vulnerable that I had a car issue that wasn’t within my mechanical abilities to reassured that I had consulted the appropriate craftsmen to help me out. I’m so relieved to have my car back and appreciative of the excellent care at AAMCO.Danielle also was nice and helpful every time I chatted with her; entire place impressed me.Thanks for the work and kindness.
I was very pleased with this place. They were easy to talk to and explained things very well, so there were no surprises. Daniel called with a diagnosis and an estimate sooner than I expected. I had to have a re-manufactured transmission and a couple minor engine fixes, but the price was fair and the work was completed quickly. I would definitely use them again in the future.
Daniel is very helpful even through a busy schedule and staff hiccups that occur in any repair shop, they replaced my clutch but there was still a horrible squelch coming from my clutch fork and lever that is a factory defect in FJ cruisers. He got me back into the shop and fixed the issue with no charge (not even labor) under warranty. They are busy, but give them a chance and they will take care of you
Told me they couldnt fix my transmission, Id have to buy a used one.
Daniel and his team are top notch professionals. My transmission went out on my Honda Accord while I was here from out of town. My car needed a complete rebuild, but Daniel was able to get me back on the road very quickly. He kept me in the loop about everything that was going on throughout the whole process and the pricing was reasonable. Not only that, but his team notified me of a weakened engine mount that needed to be replaced. I had to get the part myself, however they offered to replace it for me free of charge. Excellent customer service and a great experience overall. Highly recommend this place. Thanks!
From my experience, I didnt get anything done. Nothing was resolved. My car company told me to go to them to get my car fixed and I never heard back. I wasnt going to let them hold my car until they heard from my company to fix it i didnt even hear from aamco if they heard from the man they were supposed to talk to. And I honestly felt like the people that I did speak to werent that helpful and went i went there the first time the person wasnt that nice. So now my car is gone cause it was barley moving. My last review wasnt detailed. All in all I hope everyone that tries this place has a good experience but I did not.
I have been to this shop a few times now for my Honda. Each time I have been helped by Danielle and Thad. They were very professional and had a lot of knowledge about what I did and didnt need from what another shop was telling me. I felt confident when I left with the information I was given. I also always have my car back in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing work done right the first time on there car. Very trustworthy.
Fantastic! We took our 2011 F150 to Ford Dealership for Transmission issues. They diagnosed it an internal transmission issue and gave an estimate of $4,500 to repair and several weeks down time. Called another transmission place they gave the same quote over the phone $4,500 to repair. Called AAMCO and they said for me to bring it by the next morning and drop it off so they could drive it. He had an idea it might be something electrical hes repaired before on an F150 transmission and he would diagnose same day and no charge! Dropped it off and he called by that afternoon with the diagnosis. Tried to fix by that afternoon but Ford couldnt provide the correct part. So AAMCO went down to Ford and they found the part together to fix the truck. Still repaired within 2 days! And it cost only $800 for parts and Labor!!! Very honest business. This will be the only place I will take my vehicles!
I was almost pleased. Transmission shot itself, and I brought it here. Well, it felt like new and I loved it! Well, not even 35,000 miles, and it shoots itself again. What gives? I’ve never babied a car more than this, and it just spits out all of the ATF on the pavement.
Fixed transmission leak fast. Friendly and knowledgeable staff
So there I was stuck in a Burger King drive-thru on the phone with the tow truck thats telling me theyre going to be at least an hour when I call aamco and over the phone the guy tells me what I can do right then to make my car drivable to get to him and they fixed it in less than a half an hour. I really cant recommend a better place.
Done the work as promised very professional and friendly!
Daniel and Danielle are both wonderful. Great communication and quality work on our vehicle.
The manager Daniel is always upfront and honest. I have tried taking my vehicle to other places and then taking my vehicle to Aamco. Aamco has always been upfront and honest with what is needed to be done. They do not try to Scandal you into thinking you need more than what is needed.
Extremely helpful and honest! I thought my transmission was toast but once they got it to their shop and checked it over it was a crankshaft position sensor. What could have been thousands of dollars turned into a few hundred. Ill definitely go back if I need more work done..
They got my car fixed a lot faster than expected and the best thing is they fixed my car and saved me from having to buy a transmission 😁🙏🏻
Knowledgeable staff. Competitive prices. Quality work.
Wonderful people and Danielle is so nice! They have done excellent work on my vehicle and its always done in a timely manner. Its can be a bit expensive but its worth it and honestly, what vehicle repairs arent?
Very poorly. Called the Wednesday before and was told to bring my car in on the following Monday. I showed up but would need to leave it for a couple days to just look at it. Its great they are that busy, however not the best option. I can suggest an alternative that gives great service and rebuilt my transmission in just a couple days with scheduling.
OUTSTANDING SERVICE! I live out of the area and my engine light came on. I was on my way home 45 miles from Knoxville and stopped by a local Subaru Dealership (not in Knoxville FYI) on the way home and told them about the engine light on and the car bucking... I waited a good 45 min to an hour with my dog in the waiting room of that dealership only to be told they couldnt see me that day, and that I would have to come back in two days!! WWHHAATT?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?. I said, cant you just plug the computer in just to see whats wrong? I dont want to break down or ruin the engine if its serious....(I still had a ways to go to get home! and they knew it and I was an established customer with them too!! ) well they said they didnt have time to plug the computer in to see whats wrong?!? So I drove home praying my car would make it... The next day, I made some calls and thought it may have been a transmission problem. After making an appointment with Daniel at AAMCO I drove to Kingston Pike in Knoxville (again praying the vehicle would make it) and Daniel saw to it that my car was checked out thoroughly. It turned out that my 13 year old vehicle had the original spark plugs and a bad coil wire too and all needed replacing. They gave me a loaner car (nice not having to sit around a waiting room all day) and fixed my car to perfection. As a former investigator? I appreciate honesty! They could have said it was a bad transmission and being female? I wouldnt have known any better. I appreciate their outstanding work ethic, honesty and quality repair and highly recommend AAMCO on Kingston Pike in Knoxville TN for ANY type of repairs. Forget the dealership! They left me in a lurch! This is my new go to place for any mechanical issues with my vehicle from now on! 😀😁 Thank the good Lord it was not my transmission! Ask for Danielle or Daniel! Both are awesome and took great care of me! :)Remember, KINGSTON PIKE LOCATION IN KNOXVILLE! Have an awesome day!
Had to have my car towed to get transmission repaired and Daniel was able to take the car in immediately. No one likes to have a transmission failure, but when it happens youve got to know where to go. I took a chance on AAMCO of Knoxville on Kingston Pike because I didnt know where to go at the time. After explaining to Daniel what had happened and he tested it himself, he was able to give a good estimate. It was an expensive job but he did everything in his power to keep costs down. Like everyone else, I was skeptical at first and wasnt sure everything he quoted needed to be done. But he was straight forward and explained everything that was wrong and it was repaired in just a few days. I found everyone to be honest and helpful. I am picky about service from businesses, but I give AAMCO on Kingston Pike 5 Stars! and I will use their service again.
May car was messing up, they worked me in very nice best service would recommend to anyone!!
These people were amazing! This was by far the most positive auto repair experience I have ever had! Danielle was awesome! And so was her staff...friendly, informative...and honest. If you live in the Knoxville area and you need transmission work, this is the first place you should go! These are good people! I wont go anywhere else!
I came into town for the holiday weekend and decided to give my car a much needed tune. In the process life happened and I broke a spark plug, I looked for a place to remove the broken plug and came across these awesome guys. Michael even opened the shop up for me, which was closed, within 20 min of me calling. They removed the broken plug and sent me on my way. 10 out of 10!
Under promised and over delivered! Daniel and the folks at AAMCO are second to none. I needed a new torque converter replaced in my QX80 and they had it replaced within a couple of days at a fraction of the cost of the dealership. If you ever need any transmission work done you need to see Daniel at AAMCO.
AAMCO came and towed my car, at a great rate after shop hours! They had my car fixed by noon the very next day! The staff is extremely friendly and reasonable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in need of any type of car care. It was also relieving to know that my Honda was save in the hands of a mechanic that had more than 10 years experience working with Honda vehicles. Great place, great service, great prices.
My 2005 Chevy Uplander with over 264,000 miles is running smoother than it has in many years!! In April 2019 the transmission was rebuilt and since then I’ve had several other repairs done by Aamco as well (not related to the transmission). Each and every time both Daniel and Danielle have been extremely helpful and the repairs done professionally and priced very reasonably. I love that I can always count on them to give me a fair price and fix my van the right way guaranteed!! With their help I’ll be able to keep my van for years to come!! Thanks so much Danielle, Daniel and the rest of the staff at Aamco Kingston Piike, Knoxville!! You guys are the BEST!!!!
Two weeks ago, I had to go in to get my starter replaced and the staff and service was great! I waited to write this review to see if I would have any trouble with the car before I spoke so highly, but I havent! The service was quick. It took no longer than 1.5 to do the job. The guy who I spoke with on the phone was polite and when I went in, he was polite. I would definitely use their services again if I need something.
This AAMCO shop is the only service center that I use to work on my Lexus. They are GREAT!Kudos to Daniel (service manager), Thad, David and all of the folks down there. The price is always the most competitive, they do GREAT work and will not bulls&%t about what it will take to keep your vehicle in the best shape possible.Keep it up, guys!
They did great work and had my car back to me when I needed it. I will go to them for all my auto needs. Thank you Michael Laverdure and guys.
Outstanding service here! Im a 22 year old female college student and I have had a lot difficulty with mechanics ripping me off in the past but once I got in touch with Aamco on Kingston pike and spoke with Danielle Gifford my mind was finally put at ease. Danielle is extremely knowledgeable and was very informative in sharing and explaining all the issues with my vehicle and there were a lot. Not only was her diagnosis accurate but her and her team of technicians did a superb job and worked very efficiently. After my car was inspected they concluded that I needed an entire new braking system and the same was told to me at the Firestone just up the road. However Danielle was able to order the parts and get my car back on the road in less than one business day just before the weekend. They saved me from having to spend more money on renting a car! Also they did a lot more for me for a lot less than Firestone. Daniel, the service manager, even provided and installed new hoses for me at no additional charge. I wont take my car anywhere else! Exceptional service and great management.
I had my transmission replaced here a few years back and it probably is the second worst experience I have ever had in the automotive field behind Rick Hill imports in Kingsport frying my computer modules in my AMG.My manual transmission transmission went out in my car and I ended up getting AAMCO to come tow the car to their shop. After talking with the service technician I was slightly skeptical with AAMCO but they wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount of money for a towing fee if I didnt get the work done there. So I went ahead and agreed to have AAMCO rebuild my transmission. They charged me $2000 to rebuild my transmission and gave me a 90 day warranty. I got maybe a few hundred miles out of the transmission and about 92 days before it started making this horrible grinding noise and popping out of gear. Of course I bring the car back in and they charge me $700 to remove the transmission again. Again, the transmission lasted approximately 92 days before it started making the noise. Once again they tell me it will be another $700 to repair the transmission because it is out of warranty. Of course at this point I just take it somewhere else. They (the second shop) find me a rebuilt transmission with 100k mile warranty for $1500, parts and labor. They originally were going to rebuild it themselves but they couldnt after the hack job AAMCO did on it. They had found washers and snap rings laying in the bottom of the transmission case that had been ground down paper thin just so they could make the clearance on the trans shafts. They also found that AAMCO had failed to reinstall the transmission mount to the frame. Thanks to AAMCO it cost me around $5000 to get my transmission repaired on a little compact car. This was an absolutely miserable experience for me and the fact that I was a college student at the time made it that much worse. My suggestion. Do as I did and educate yourself instead of trusting anyone in the automotive field. Especially a place such as AAMCO.
I had a major transmission problem diagnosed by the dealer while my car was in for routine maintenance. The repair prices quoted were pretty high so I immediately started to shop around.I notice the good reviews on this shop so called up and do not regret my decision to take the car from the dealer to Aamco on Kingston Pike. Courteous, friendly people who worked hard to get me back in my vehicle at a much better price and bonus - they warranty the work. I recommend this repair shop.
Absolute best service Ive ever experienced anywhere.
I have used AAMCO on Kingston Pike on several occasions to provide repair for my college daughters very old Ford Escape. Daniel is very professional and works hard to keep costs down. He will typically call himself to discuss any problems and costs for repair. The office space is clean and warm and the staff is professional and friendly. I highly recommend AAMCO on Kingston Pike.
About 18 months ago, my son was having trouble with his truck (2013 F150). On a suggestion, we took it to another local transmission shop. Within less than an hour, we received a call stating that there was metal in the transmission fluid and the truck would need a new one for around $ 3,000.00. I called and spoke with Daniel at Aamco for a second opinion. We took it to them and when all was said and done, it ended up being about a $ 600.00 repair and the truck has been running perfectly ever since. Fast forward a year and we receive a recall letter from Ford for the part that was replaced by the Aamco team. While trying to get reimbursement for the repair we already paid for, we find out that because Aamco and Ford call the part a different name they would probably reject our claim. So...I called Daniel again. And once again, he was more than happy to rescue me. By 9AM the next day, he had reprinted me a new receipt with the original Ford part number on it to try and establish proof of repair for the reimbursement. Im crossing my fingers that it works! Daniel is absolutely the best and I am thankful for his help!Update: I just received notice that Ford has approved our reimbursement! Thank you so much again!!!
Wow!! I am so please with the perfect repair on my transmission. I drive for Uber/Lyft and count on my car daily. Daniel and his staff had my repair complete the same day!!! Detailed the cost so, no surprises . I am so glad that I brought my car here. I will definitely be returning with any future repairs or maintenance.ThanksTom watsom
I was very pleased with the professionalism, took care of my Jeep - price was on target - I’m going to take my vehicles there from now on - total care
Turbo was put on
They did a really good job with my moms car!!
If you need work done . Go here guy knows what there doing . Took my car to 3 shop before this one and they couldnt find what was wrong with it.
Thank you very much for the great Service.Very Honest place. I took my vehicle with some transmission problem and thought it was solenoid that was bad, and they could easily charge me for the new solenoid and service. But no they did not charge me a penny because it was just a bad connection. It is everybodys dream to find good and honest mechanic and AAMCO on kingston pike is the one.
I have been blown away by the level of honesty and customer service. I originally came in because my car was making a noise. That issue was just racking something down...which they did for free. They found another minor issue and have been beyond helpful in getting it taken care of working with my challenging schedule. They have become my go to for any future car issues.
My transmission was slipping after being serviced elsewhere. The guys at AAMCO checked it and found the transmission was 4 quarts low on fluid. The charged me for the fluid and sent me on my way. Problem solved! Thanks Daniel and staff for the great service. Did I mention that they were all headed to lunch as I pulled in and postponed their lunch breaks to take care of me? Who does that? AAMCO does.
I have been using Aamco on Kingston pike for several years now and Daniel has always been completely up front and honest with me about my vehicles issues. He also provided me a donor car when my vehicle had to have major work. I try not to take my vehicle to any other location when Daniel is available. Thank you Daniel.
So pleased with Aamco. (On Kingston pike)Me and my fiance had starter problems on a Honda Civic. We needed it fixed as fast as we could get it done to avoid him missing work. Our car messed up on us on a Saturday night, of course places are closed on Sundays so we called Monday morning, talked to them about how important it was to have it done as soon as possible. They got us in that morning and had it fixed by the afternoon. So Monday was the only day of work that my fiance had to miss. We really appreciate their speed at getting our car fixed.
I have brought my vehicle in multiple times for service and received excellent service. Had a break issue that turned into a major fix. These guys found a way to make it the least expensive for me, and later performed a check up on the breaks for free. Very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough.
Daniel and the entire staff at AAMCO Transmission & Total Car Care were great. They fixed my vehicle in a reasonable amount of time and at a fair price. I will definitely recommend them!
Ive come to AAMCO transmissions from A/C problems or transmission failures to oil changes. The staff have always been helpful and honest as to what I need to get my vehicle back in to shape. Daniel and Thad have superior expertise (especially in my Honda. I believe one of them was a Honda Tech for many years) and I always see many brands and models of cars in the garage. Theyre always busy, but manage to find time to help me out. These guys are honest and know what theyre doing with automobiles to get them on the road quickly and with as little cost to you as necessary. Thats not to say you might have to spend some money, but theyll tell you what you need to get by with and what you need to get it really fixed. I will keep coming back and trusting them with my auto investment! Thanks guys for keeping my 2002 Honda Civic on the road and me still at work!
I needed brakes bad and had just moved to Knoxville, so I didnt have a car guy on speed dial. After looking on google, I called for an estimate at 8am. It seemed reasonable and Daniel said he could inspect the car and have the work done that day if I was willing to being there about 9am. Being a night worker I found it very convenient. When I got there they inspected my vehicle first and didnt do any work until we discussed the problems they found. There was a tie rod loose but I didnt have the money to replace it at the time. I had to reschedule an appointment and then reschedule that one. Daniel was very understanding and just told me to call a couple days before i could bring it in. When I finally brought it in he recognized me immediately and made sure my car was taken care of. I have enjoyed my experiences so far and do plan on bringing my car back!
Excellent service! I do not live in Knoxville but I have a son with a vehicle that had major transmission issues. My son is a student in Knoxville who needs his vehicle to commute so the time without a vehicle was critical. The transmission in the Ford Explorer had been rebuilt three years prior in another city by a local shop. I read the reviews and called AAMCO. The AAMCO representative (do not know if she wants her name listed) was very knowledgeable and helpful in giving me the options including time in shop and estimated costs. In summary AAMCO was able to get the vehicle in the shop and out in three days plus a loaner car which was really helpful in our situation. I was called daily with updates on the progress and the cost of any additional parts that were needed. I was pleased with every aspect of the work and would highly recommend them.
Id like to take the time out of my day to say thank you! To Daniel and the crew at aamco. They went out of their way to fix my truck, give me a loaner, and get me back on the road as quickly as possible. Even thou my warranty had expired they went the extra mile.
Got my transmission rebuilt, a couple of days after I got my car back it quit working again and I was devastated. Turns out one of the parts they used was bad but it was covered, so they redid everything and provided me with a loaner car while they fixed it
This past week, the transmission failed in my husbands Ford pickup truck. He called AAMCO around 5:45 Fri evening. Though the shop was set to close at 6pm, they waited for my husband to get there to give a preliminary exam of the truck. The truck limped into the garage and the staff was very accommodating, explaining what they were seeing as the initial damage. My husband received a call the following Mon along with a picture sent to him in a text to show the extent of the damage. He was given a potential date of completion and finished the job a day early. AAMCO kept my husband informed of all work and costs. The job was completed with great professionalism. The pickup runs better than before! We would recommend AAMCO to anyone having transmission issues.
Most honest car shop I’ve been too. Thought I had a problem with my transmission leaking and ended up not having a problem at all. Highly recommended.
My experience with this Aamco Service Center was very pleasant. The ignition switch went out on my car and I didnt have a regular mechanic. I was referred to this location by a co-worker....Im so grateful. The work on my car was as good as the dealership and much cheaper.I will continue to use this service center for all my car care needs. THANKS, Aamaco!
I just got my brakes done here and couldnt be happier! This is a fast, friendly and honest establishment that wont try to sell you things you dont need. My car hasnt driven this well in years. Ive looked all over town and Aamco is simply the best place to go if you need new brakes!!!
I thought the torque converter on my 2000 Silverado was going out. I did my research and found this shop was highly rated. Turns out it wasnt the transmission or torque converter but Daniel absolutely his crew located the problem and fixed my brakes - the fluid was contaminated and ruined the master cylinder and both front calipers. The truck is back, drives great and I owe it to him and his team.
I have been to Aamco transmission many times, for things as small as an oil change, and as large as replacing an engine. They have always given a fair price, and been professional in their dealings. In addition, they always complete their work quickly. You cant really ask for much more than that.
I started going to AAMCO about 2 years ago when my transmission needed repairs., my transmission was repaired in the time and price that was quoted and still working fine. I went back for something else and regular service since. I trust Daniel and the guys that work on my van to do whats needed without hesitation. I recommend them all the time and I wouldnt take my van anywhere else. A.Mayes
This place is the first, and thus far, the only place I take my car for servicing. As a single woman who knows very little about cars, I trust Daniel and his associates to not only ensure my safety on the road, but to also only complete the work that is necessary. While they readily inform me of potential, future necessary repairs, they never make me feel like theyre forcing costs on me just to pad their pockets. Even if I just want them to look over my car before a quick roadtrip, theyre always more than willing to assist for a very small fee or, sometimes, none at all if Id just been in recently for a visit. Again, I trust these men, who obviously know that Im a car care novice, to keep me safe and to conduct our business dealings with integrity and honesty. Ive been taking my car to this Aamco for over two years now, ever since I became single, and I can sincerely say that Ive never regretted it. If youre reading this, thank you Daniel and associates for treating me like more than a customer, like a valued friend. Looking for a knowledgeable, reliable, trustworthy, affordable car care center? Look no further. Stop by and give them a try. You wont regret it. I havent.
I would highly recommend this company to everyone! Honesty, integrity, & reasonable prices!! Honda dealer said that I needed a transmission, Daniel said it was a catalytic convertor! (Spot on) What a difference in thousands of dollars!! My kind of people!! AAMCO of Knoxville and their staff treat you with respect! Like family!! Loved my experience!!
Everywhere I went for my air conditioning issue for a 2014 chevy cruze, they started it was my compressor. Aamco looked at the issue since my compressor was not turning on and low behold it was just a loose connection. They have save me a good amount of money because fixing a compressor is near a 1000 or more and fixing a loose connection is around 100. Thank you very much. I will be returning to do business with you for both of my vehicles and would suggest them to anyone in the knoxville area.
Took my lancer in to get the head gasket worked on. They machined my head, did my water pump and timing belt, replaced my plugs and changed my oil for about 700 less tHan I had been quoted at another repair shop. They helped me set up financing and were all very helpful and Informative. Will continue to use this shop.
Great experience. The manager, Daniel Autrey, went to bat for me with my extended warranty provider and got them to approve the repairs I needed, after the initially tried to refuse the service. Repairs were done quickly and the problem was resolved to my complete satisfaction. I would recommend this facility to anybody in the Knoxville area that needs good mechanics to work on their car.
Daniel the service manager is excellent. During my interaction with him he was honest and informed me throughout the repair process. I drive a Jaguar so the parts are NOT cheep so I chose to shop online for parts to keep the cost down as much as possible. Daniel had no problem working with the parts that I purchased online which saved me hundreds of dollars. Now obviously he is not warranting the labor to install the parts I purchased and that is a risk I decided to take.I changed the oil on the car yesterday and was pleased to find that all of the fasteners for the covers underneath the care were properly installed and none were missing. Everything was installed properly and neat with no leaks, squeaks, or errors. For those of us who have worked on and been around cars for awhile that speaks volumes about the quality of the workmanship. To speak to the frustration of the one negative review. I wanted Daniel and the technician to test drive my car after the repair was completed to ensure that it drove and shifted properly (which it does). BTW I left a insulated coffee cup sitting in the shop and Daniel took the time to call my cell and ask me what I wanted him to do with it which he did not have to do.When I was younger I replaced transmissions and engines in my cars because I could not afford to pay someone to do it. A Jaguar is a different beast, the transmission has no dip stick to check fluid levels and on top of that the fluid has to be at a specific temperature when you set the proper level. Enough said.... This was not your basic repair....If I need transmission (or any other repairs they offer) service again I will not hesitate to call on Daniel to schedule the work.Scott Davis
I went in expecting the worst and came out spending a lot less than expected. I know that mechanics get a bad rep for repairing things that arent necessary and charging too much but I have to say that Danielle and Daniel were honest and upfront about everything. They were able to fix my car in a timely manner and get me back on the road in no time. Thanks again. I expect to return with any other car issues!Edit 1: I have been back 3 times now with a work truck and my personal vehicle again. Every time theyve been super fast, reasonably priced, and always honest. Ill keep going back to them!
Quick, quality service for my brakes. Danielle and Daniel were good to work with; very honest on what they saw and what needed to be done.
They were very straightforward with how much it was going to cost to repair my transmission. I would recommend their services.
I thought they were great! I first went to a shop in Seymour to look at my brakes, they wanted so much. So I went to AAMCO and their estimate was 10 times better! They were very helpful and and easy to work with, because everyone knows how stressful going to the mechanics can be! I highly recommend AAMCO!
I took my 2005 Ford Escape to them in February 2013 not knowing what the problem was. They put it on a computer diagnosis and it turned out to be a computer brain problem which only the dealer could program. But they did offer to fix the other components that go with it and spent over an hour diagnosing the problems and did not charge me at all. I ended up buying a different used vehicle instead and will definately go back there if I need ANY repairs. I am a woman by my self and they did not take advantage of my lack of knowledge in this situation. I felt I was treated with respect and very fairly. I need brake pads on my new used vehicle now and am going to see them next week!!
I took my vehicle for regular maintenance and it was done in one day. The mechanic was very friendly and informative. The lady who works at the front desk was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional.
Took my SUV to AAMCO on Kingston Pk. and he knew instantly what the issue was. They got it done when they said they would and were very professional. I highly recommend using them for your car care needs.
Dont use this Aamco. I am on my 3rd transmission in 1 yr 10 mos. Their products and service is terrible. They included my warranty on parts and labor so I would not know I had and extended warranty. When I filed with BBB they sd I had a warranty. When I called they refused to honor it. 3 transmissions in 1 yr 10 mos is ridiculous! Being stranded and towing expenses are not fun. Go elsewhere and avoid that! Or worry about whether you will get where your going
Both Daniel and Danielle gave us thorough and efficient service. Even with having to order parts for my car, they were able to get me my car back within 24 hours of it being towed in.Also, I checked with my brother-in-law who owns his own shop in Ohio, and he told me that they were giving me a great deal on the price of all parts and labor. That is something that is so important, because I feel like a lot of shops often try to rip women off. I hate to generalize, but it often occurs. However, Aamco did not do that. In fact, they even gave me a discount.I will definitely return with any future care problems that I might have.Alicia Schlosser
When I brought my truck in, they were very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They would tell me of any additional problems they found, and ask first before proceeding to fix something. Additionally, they provided me with a free tow, as long as I still let them look at my truck. I would totally recommend these guys for car repairs!
Since this shop already has a 5-star rating from 49 users, it seems redundant to add my .02. But I have to anyway because I had such a great experience here. I had my transmission completely replaced by an AAMCO shop near Raleigh, N.C., then took a road trip to Nashville. On my way back, with two young children in tow, my SUV completely freaked out with alarms and multiple engine service messages. The transmission stuck in first gear and I couldnt get above 40mph on the I-40 east-bound. I called the shop, quite rattled, and the shop manager, Daniel, took care of everything. He arranged for my tow to the shop, provided a loaner car, gave me an evaluation of what went wrong and repaired what he could so I could get back home. Should I ever need a new transmission, I might seriously think about making the road trip to Knoxville because this shop is truly committed to doing what is right and not what is expedient. Thank you very much, Daniel and AAMCO Knoxville staff!!!!
My car was in rough shape and AAMCO on Kingston Pike happen to be the closet shop. They were very nice and incredibly helpful! They made sure to explain the problem with my car in detail so I could understand the issue.
In the past year I have been to AAMCO 3 times for various issues as well as the standard oil changes. I have yet to have a bad experience there. Daniel and his staff are top notch. This is the first auto shop where I dont feel I am being misled to do additional work. They complete the work in the time they promise. I have referred a couple of people who needed some work and both told me they were extremely pleased with their results and how they were treated.
The staff are professional and organized. They had me in and out in no time and the price was right! The receptionist was knowledgeable and friendly.
I could not be happier with this place! I just moved to Knoxville and as a lady, I am very cautious of mechanics and have had many bad experiences with people trying to take advantage. Not with this place and Danielle helping me....I got my car fized, the same day, and there was a LONG list of things I needed done and they were super packed and busy. The mechanic even called me before he did anything to make sure I wanted everything done that day! This price e was a fraction of what I thought it would cost. I will not be going anywhere else to get my car fix! Highly recommended!!!!
I had taken my truck to a Dodge dealer after noticing some issues with the transmission. After driving down the road and hearing funny noises after getting my truck back, I pulled into AAMCO just to have them look at it. I had experienced my truck neutraling out on the way in and expected major work needed to be done. They were kind enough to work me into their already busy schedule. Several hours later, they called and told me my truck was 4 quarts low on trans fluid- the dealer flushed my trans and didnt fill it up! The good people at AAMCO just charged for the fluid. Hope I dont need to go back... but will definitely return to AAMCO should I experience any issues in the future.
Daniel gave us a quick and thorough analysis of our transmission problem and had the transmission rebuilt within two days. Afterward I got a full statement listing all parts used along with a 12 month, 12000 mile warranty. He even showed me the defective parts that were removed from my transmission. I recommend AAMCO on Kingston Pike in Knoxville. They do what they say and fix it with a smile.Norman C. Lawhorn
Extremely Professional yet personable staff. A great experience overall. Highly Recommend! :-) :-) :-)
Great service
I been very happy with what Daniel has done for me it came down to having to replace my oil pump and my rear seal that went in my 07 Tahoe since having it back I have not had no problem with it this will be the only place I will deal with I will not allow no one to repair my vehicles.I trust them in my vehicle and not have to worry about breaking down.
Had to have transmission rebuilt they was friendly and knowledgeable kept me up to date on the process and was quick with having it done now my transmission works great with no issues.
Had a great experience at Aamco, good people and good work! Thanks so much! From Brian Stovall
