My son has been at Millers Martial Arts for almost a year. It has been a fantastic experience. Each instructor is very patient, caring and eager to teach. My son enjoys the class and looks forward to going each time. Sherri has been wonderful answering questions and providing any guidance needed throughout our first year at MMA.I cant recommend this place enough. The professionalism, friendliness and most importantly the take away the kiddos get from martial arts..the discipline, focus, structure, confidence and self defense.
Our 14-year-old daughter absolutely loves Miller’s Martial Arts Academy. She has gained enormous confidence, physical skills, as well as learned many life lessons. The teachers are caring and very talented. We are so happy to have found this wonderful facility and can’t recommend it enough.
Our son Luke has been taking lessons at Millers Martial Arts for almost five years. Lukes confidence has made huge improvements. He sees himself as someone who is capable of achieving goals. Luke feels success. He receives positive feed back and constructive criticism which has helped to to almost reach his goal of earning a black belt. The instructors make Luke work hard while having fun and building bonds. It is a great place for any child (or adult) to learn martial arts. The learning environment is fun and energizing. The staff is wonderful . It has been such a great place for Luke and we are thrilled with all of the progress and growth he has made.
Both my son and daughter (elementary age) attend MMAA. The transition and advancement in their skills as well as over all endurance was quickly noticed. The instructors are very skilled in handling the attention level of multiple age groups and do a great job keeping the kids focused. The skills my children have acquired have been noticed by their school teachers (active listening and impulse control) and especially the PE teachers. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
My daughter has been at Millers Martial art for a year. She has built a self confidence. The instructors are great and fun. She is learning self defense and able to respond or move quicker.
Millers Martial Arts has been a instrumental blessing in our family. Both of our children are students and we have been coming for over 5 years now. The staff are professional, attentive and take martial arts seriously and with pride and integrity. They make time for fun to keep the kids engaged and have multiple programs throughout the year as well as camps and parents night outs. They incorporate monthly life skills as part of the curriculum along with their martial arts. We recommend them any chance we get!!
Our son has trained at this studio for four years and while he has learned incredible martial arts skills through their positive repetitive methods, it’s the other skills for which we are so grateful. Our son brings discipline and focus to school and to his other activities such as sports. We receive compliments from other parents about our son’s focus, discipline and respect and we always attribute this to his martial arts training. Furthermore, our son’s general athletic abilities appear heightened by his ongoing training, as well as his ability to protect his body. Our son has great confidence and leadership qualities we associates to his martial arts training. We can not recommend this studio highly enough.
My daughter has been going to Miller Martial Arts for a year now. The Instructors are fun and caring. She is learning so much! Not just Martial Arts, but she is learning lots of life skills as well!
Raised my daughter in this school since she was 3, she is now at college out of state, a very well rounded and grounded student .I joined a long time ago and would highly recommended this school, Erik Eliasen
My two boys, Matthew and David have been attending this school for the past four years, and I can attest that this is a fantastic martial arts school. Every single staff and teachers are very accomodating, kind, and caring. I have never had any bad experience. My kids enjoy going there. I highly recommend this school.
Miller’s Martial Arts has been a great school for our Son since he was 4. He is now 9 and still loves it. The school teaches great martial arts skills but almost more importantly they teach great life lessons and attributes that make them a great child. Everyone who works there has been there for a very long time and/or were instructed there when they were kids, that says a lot about Ownership. They keep kids safe also which is important, you can tell they have been doing this for decades. Great School, great learning and great fun.
Our son has been doing martial arts at Millers for the last 5 1/2 years. From the first day, he was hooked by their awesome curriculum, positive environment and character building. He continues to love it and has achieved so much through the martial arts program - he has earned his black belt and beyond but more importantly he has learned how to gracefully win (and lose) in competitions, be respectful and so much more. Everyone who works there learns every childs name and treats them (and their parents) with respect and kindness. We highly recommend Millers!
It is LIFE CHANGING!!! never ever thought about martial arts could be so engrossing teaching you being HUMAN!... kudos for Professor Miller, Sifu Chris, Brandon, Sherry and team!... doing great in supporting our community!
Everything about this place has been terrific! The training, the atmosphere, the communication. Everything! So glad to have my son in such a positive, character-building environment.
My kids love their lessons here! The instructors are great and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!
Millers Martial Arts is the best martial arts school for kids!I searched many schools online for our 7 yr old daughter and watched classes in action before selecting Millers. It was an easy decision because Millers focuses on whats important at a young age: the non-physical virtues of martial arts like discipline, respect, integrity, persistence etc.... Thats not to say they do not teach martial skills; they certainly do and they make it fun. They start with essential skills and increase their standards slowly over time as the kids mature.Take the time to visit. Youll see for yourself right away how many young students are enrolled at MMMA. The instructors are all graduates who started training themselves at MMMA at a young age and they reflect the values they teach. Youll also get a sense of the positive vibe this place has going.
I have a 7 year old boy and a 10 year old girl. Both my kids love the Miller Martial Arts program. Martial arts training along with daily discussion and lessons regarding ethics, morals, consideration, and respect. We are thrilled to have found a program where our family values are reinforced by instructors that care about the kids.
My entire family attends MMAA. I have been going for 18 years and in that time Miller’s has become a second home and family to me. Going several times a week to class has helped keep me in great shape and lose weight and keep it off. Both my boys started when they were 5 years old. My oldest just started college and I attribute part of his success in his college process to the 13 years of martial arts he did. The school and staff is fabulous with the kids. They teach lots of life skills beyond just teaching the martial arts. The kids learn to focus, about commitment, how to deal with adversity along with many other life skills in a safe environment. Even though everyone in my family is small in stature, we all feel comfortable training at the school because of the great teaching and training environment. I love having my wife in in class with me and really enjoy the times we talk BJJ. I have recommended the school to lots of friends with kids looking for a martial arts program.
Millers MAA is great place to practice a variety of martial arts - but especially so for kids and those of us in our 30s, 40s and beyond. The instructors are about as ego-free and newbie friendly as you can find and i guarantee you wont find a group of people more capable with all kinds of children. People maintain their relationship with MMAA not just for years, but for decades - thats a level of excellence you dont find often.
My boys have been attending Millers Martial Arts Academy (MMAA) for a few years now and they absolutely love it. The instructors are top notch and are excellent in dealing with the personalities of all the various kids. What I find incredible is that they actually know the names of all the children and adults! Recently I started up Jiu Jitsu at MMAA myself, and it could not be a better experience. Everyone has been so helpful and friendly in helping me, the clueless newbe, in adapting to and learning Jiu Jitsu. I cant overstate how impressive this place really is!
My sons (ABC bRos.) having a great time learning the lessons they love every session. My eldest son learned a lot ... Instructors here are awesomes and they are very good in executing the lessons ... I highly recommend Millers Martial Arts Academy.
My son has been at MMAA for about 5 years and we just love it. Great instructors and lessons, both on the mat and for life.
We are still as enthralled with Millers Martial Arts as we were almost five years ago when our kids started martial arts through one of Professor Korbetts PTSA fundraiser afterschool courses. The martial arts experience at Millers is not just a great physical activity for our kids, but the kids also receive exemplary guidance regarding personal ethics and leadership during each class. We are so happy we landed at Millers Martial Arts!
There one on one lesson are great and program is really good to develop the kids.
Millers Martial Arts is family for me. Training in martial arts is a vehicle to better myself and the world around me and MMAA is the vehicle to create this with an amazing teacher and staff.
My child has had a wonderful time learning at MMAA with the wonderful, kind, and charismatic staff there. They teach many necessary life skills over the year, and they reinforce the life skill with their mat - chats. They even extend their support to the family itself. I would definitely recommend MMAA to anybody, as they have helped me lose weight as well.Juan Carlos VillalbaMonica Mutis
I have just started BJJ at MMAA so, unlike other commenters, I cannot offer the long term perspective. But I have trained for 18 years in Shotokan Karate before (3rd degree black belt) and joined (and taught) in multiple schools during that time. Based on this experience I have a sense of what a good school should feel like: its attention to detail, enthusiasm from instructors and students alike, a sense of a close-knit community and willingness to share and help each other out. Millers Martial Arts excels on all of these metrics. 6 months ago, when I started, I had no intention of joining a martial arts school - I was just looking for a place where my daughter could work out after school. But the place has quickly won me over and I could not be happier with my choice.
Traveling solo for work inspired me to take an adult co-ed self-defense course at MMAA and over the years I’ve had a consistently fantastic experience learning a mix of kick-boxing, muay thai, jeet kune do and now Brazilian jiu-jitsu. I so wish I had started as kid. As it is, Miller’s is an exceptional martial arts school for the young or old, male or female. Everyone at Miller’s creates a safe, supportive, family friendly environment and as a long-time student in the adult programs the teaching continues to give me well balanced and engaging work-outs as well as the confidence to continue on in my training. MMAA was a great discovery for me.
It has been 16 years and going strong with MMAA. We were looking for a martial arts program for our son who was 5 at the time (he is now 21) and found MMAA. I have to admit that training he received at MMAA went far beyond self-defense. The life skills incorporated into the curriculum help to mold him into the man he is today. I am proud to be affiliated with such a fine organization as MMAA.
Like most of the adult students at Millers, I started after watching my son in the kids class. Korbett Miller doesnt just teach grappling and striking and weapons, he helps kids learn discipline and good attitude. He has a real gift.My previous martial arts background was in Karate, over 30 years ago. Since training with Millers, Ive fallen in love with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I even compete in tournaments in the over-50 division!Korbett Miller has an amazingly strong and diverse background in the martial arts. From jeet kun do (ranked Sibok) to muay thai (certified kru) to BJJ (black belt), he has been there and done that.Over the years the focus has changed from very mixed to mainly focussed on BJJ. As a new adult student, you will be exposed to striking, and self defence, but the advanced classes are mainly grappling.
Does a good job with kids
You teach great people
Great instructors!
