I dont know the guys name that helped us but he was really nice. He was friendly and he explained everything to us. We didnt have to wait. He had everything all set up for us. I will definitely be back next time I have to move something. I also recommend using U-Haul if you need to move anything. Thank you guys, use made moving stuff a whole lot easier for us.
I’ve used this location twice: the first time was seamless (which is always appreciated during a move!) and the second time they saved me from a technical error in my agreement made by another U-Haul retailer. Steven was a lifesaver and worked tirelessly to fix the problem. His effort and kindness was so appreciated and I’ll be sure to use this location going forward for all my moving and storage needs. Been there four times, each time was pleasant, quick and simple. Staff was courteous and helpful. My experience was good.
Well everything was good but when we got the bill we saw that we were told one price for a mile. We were told one price for over the 100 miles that we paid for up front and the extra was suppose to be one price but was charge ALMOST double the price that we were told it was going to be

Horrible!!!! I have been to this location twice within the last month and it seems there more interested in getting you out of there face without them having to stand for more than 2 mins or do any type of helpful work .. very rude and talk down to people.. as the one guy is helping customers and eating McDonalds and not to be rude but very sloppy and messy. Talking with his mouth full of food. Takes forever to get through the paperwork, then always qick to tell me something is wrong on my end with my card / my truck my time of day to show up. The problems always go away when the GM steps in to help ( hes the only helpful one )but the two front desk workers should be avoided!!!long story short I went out of my way 25 mins to another u-haul place and it was night and day!! Ill now be using that spot to rent from.

Made my move very stressful. Was overcharged by hundreds of dollars which although I eventually got refunded, really messed up my finances . I lost an ipod in the truck which they found and were holding for me, as I was coming in a week for another rental. My driver showed up for my rental and i had all my conformation numbers to be told it was canceled, and they had no trucks available. I was never informed it was canceled. They couldnt tell me who cancelled it or why...On top of that I was told they didnt have my ipod. Literally spent at least 15 hours on hold with uhaul between making reservations and trying to address all my issues. Freaking nightmare.
They are very polite even helped me out when I could not afford the fee awesome workers.
The process to rent here was simple and the rentals were reasonably priced. The staff was professional and friendly and willing to work with my timeline and needs. The vehicle was well maintained. Over all, it was a surprisingly efficient system. I will use them again.

We literally paid online so the process would be quicker for picking up our 15’ truck and towing apparatus. $900+ for it all, only to get a call 1 day before saying they don’t have the truck we reserved a week in advance. Now we have to drive several towns away to pick up the truck we wanted...hopefully they even have it.
I am so heartbroken because of your company. We had reserved a 26 truck for this morning in Kingston, NY weeks ago. This morning, I called to confirm the time and they tell me that they have no truck for me and the best they can offer me is a 15 truck with a trailer. We are moving a whole 6 bedroom house, for which I have lived in for 34 years, and now I have to leave behind so many of mine and my childrens belongings. They couldnt even get me 2 trucks. That was the only acceptable offer, and they couldnt even make it happen. The discount they gave us meant nothing compared to the loss we are suffering. We were guaranteed a truck and you failed us. I wish we had went with a different company. The day of our move, no other company had anything available so last minute. I honestly cannot believe this and will never recommend your company to anyone. I am so horribly upset by this.
I cannot begin to share my fantastic experience yesterday, 12/29 with the Kingston staff. Chris was very empathetic to our needs and made sure to understand and help us as we specifically needed. Upon arrival, the two staff in the afternoon, Alan and the other gentleman whose name I did not catch, were incredibly helpful and courteous. Unfortunately, my car died and they took the measures to help me jump start (which is not something Im sure they HAD to do in their job description). It truly saved the day by going the extra mile. We took our rental seamlessly and then we returned it seamlessly. Thank you so much everyone!
Guy was great at Kingston, but got stuck with the trailer on the road, called road side service, sat there for an hour on the phone with the operator and on hold, until I unhitched the trailer, ran to Tractor supply for fix a flat.I got up and running. then got back to Kingston 10am the next morning and was charged and extra day... yea
Wow, heres a place that wants your business! I just wanted boxes, but was curious about how much it would cost to get from point A to point B. They will follow up and make sure to reserve you a truck, so I dont want to hear any stories about this branch not working with you, lol. Theyve been checking in with me regularly. Thatll teach me to be curious. Just kidding. ☺

Lots of uhaul trucks
I needed a wiring job for my vehicle for towing lights and kept getting the runaround from the customer service at U-haul so I called this location. They had the parts in inventory and an opening in the schedule. I arrived a few minutes early and they got working on it immediately. We walked to a coffee shop while they worked on it. We returned just over an hour later and he was finishing up. He wired the unit through the hide-away storage area in the back of the MDX so it wasnt constantly exposed to the elements and only taken out when used! Extra and thoughtful steps like this are not to be expected much these days and they knocked it out of the park!Id have paid extra for this but they did it out of a courtesy simply because I asked about different mounting options.I can attest that as horrible as the rest of my U-Haul experience was with customer service over a trailer this place stands far above in so many ways and I highly recommend them.

Reservations are an illusion. I went to pick up my reserved van yesterday, and they gave it to someone else. All they had to offer was a pick up truck, which I had to take and make 3 trips. The people behind me in line also had no van and nothing at all to offer them and later when I returned the truck, yet another family was told they did not have a van.What good is calling weeks ahead to make a reservation when it’s meaningless? 2 years ago I had the same thing happen. I showed up to the kingston location and was told if I wanted the truck I would have to drive 30 minutes out of my way to pick it up. They would not make any exceptions for the extra mileage or fuel although it was their error.Lastly, the night I made my reservation over the phone, the lady on the phone was clearly in a work from home situation, as she was covering the phone to yell at her kids in the background. I’m always hesitant to give my credit card info over the phone, and it was against my better judgment, but it was required for the reservation. I have a special card that I only use for things like this. It has a low balance and i refer to it as my “high risk” card. If I make a transaction that I feel my info could be compromised, this is the card I use. I checked my statement this month and someone went on an amazon shopping spree with my credit card. A card I hadn’t used since February. Some coincidence huh?Uhaul, you should be ashamed. Communicate with your customers. There is a lot of time, effort, coordinating, and money that goes into moving, and nothing is more essential than the moving truck. How can you screw over your customers without even making an attempt to give us some notice so we can make other arrangements?? If I spent an hour there total, and 3 families were left high and dry, this must be a pretty regular thing....and build a more secure reservation system because your employees can’t be trusted with customers credit card information.

This business and Nathan are an insult to customer service and the UHaul organization. Never before have I ever seen a more egregious act of customer service.My wife is moving from New York to Illinois. We usually use UHaul Trucks, but this time she decided to look into a hitch and a trailer since she isn’t moving much. Neither of us are mechanically inclined, so she spoke with an employee at UHaul to see if she could tow a 5x8 trailer with her Hyundai Elantra. The people in Kingston told her yes and proceeded to install a $417 hitch.The more I thought about this, the more I worried about her safety, so I called the Kingston location back and asked what the towing capacity of an Elantra is. I was informed that it was 1063 pounds....the trailer she had reserved weighs 900. So this location knowingly took money to install a hitch to tow a trailer that can only be loaded with 163 pounds. Had I not called, Nathan and his staff would have had $417 in hand and let my wife drive away in what could have turned into a fatal situation.I have spoken to Nathan, the manager at this location, and a customer service rep. Nathan has tried his best to place fault on us by saying it is our responsibility to know the towing capacity of our vehicle. I understand what he is saying, but this is why we called UHaul so we could get this information. We just assumed the information would be accurate and take my wife’s safety into consideration. Instead, Nathan has exposed himself and his staff for being incompetent salesmen more concerned with a sale than customer service or safety.Nothing has been resolved yet since Nathan is still trying to avoid a refund and fixing his mistake. In fact, he tried to get me to pay more money in labor to remove the hitch. To recap, Nathan and U-Haul provided my wife with false information. They performed, what ended up being, an unnecessary service, they took $417, and refuse to provide a refund or rectify the situation. I certainly hope this is the only UHaul store who prioritizes taking advantage of customers over safety.This location and it’s manager are a joke. Please do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere.

The trucks we rented were great, but our guy wasnt the most computer literate so there was a wait for him to enter what we had already done online.
One word - Unreliable! I made a reservation for a pick up days in advance. I called 1 hour before my pickup time to make sure a hitch ball was put on it. I was told there were no pick ups available and Id have to take a box truck, which did not work for me at all! Only by calling would I have found this out. What a waste of time!

First off they dont even deserve one star. Went there to rent a car trailer after arriving and hooking up to we found the lights did not work. They blamed my truck and told me I could not take it. So I went and borrowed a known good truck and tried to pick up the trailer and the lights still did not work. After twenty mins of arguing and plugging in three different trailers which all of the lights worked they finally allowed me to take one of there nicer car trailers. which I originally requested. After calling corp and making a complaint. The GM claims to have called me and inspected the trailer and had found nothing wrong.

Horrible customer service since the original manager has been out of country.Ive had too many bad experiences to name.Ive spent way too much money there to be treated so badly. When I move My things, Uhaul will never get any more of My money. Its not appreciated, and the attitude of some of the more senior staff is rude, dismissive and very disrespectful.

Buyer beware! Without our knowledge or consent, our pick-up site was changed from Kingston to another location which would add an hour and a half travel time. We found out 2 days prior to our move. Tried to get the truck delivered to Kingston but UHaul would not do it. We had to cancel the reservation which had been made 6 weeks prior. Will not use UHaul again.

Placed reservation for truck and supplies received confirmation number and pickup location. Arrived at pickup location only to be told the only available truck was 35 miles away at a different location in a different city. Lost 1.5 hours of moving time. Plus prepaid for supplies did not show on their computer and had to pay again and dispute the duplicate changes with the bank. The people were rude unprofessional and not at all sympathetic.
Some of the trucks and equipment are very old. Great customer service.

Friendly enough people with the discount that I got when I get out there because it was double to rent what I was told got blown when I got back because I did over my mileage when I did a straight trip with no detours so
