The salon itself was clean and most of the staff was super friendly. I called in advance to book an appointment for a dip manicure with a specific person and they didn’t take my name or what services I desired. When I got there, my friend accompanying me got the person I requested and I got someone else, which would have been okay except this manicurist did not care at all about what I wanted. From the minute I sat down I was rushed through the process. I was interested in a specific design and he wouldn’t take the time to look at the picture a second time so I did not get what I wanted. By the time I realized he was going it incorrectly it was too late and I don’t have time to come back to get it fixed. He also did not clean, trim or shape my nails. All he did was file them (poorly) so they’re all different lengths. Super disappointing and if I go back I will be sure not to go to him. My friend who had the girl I requested had beautiful nails and the manicurist really took her time to help her pick out the colors, shape, and made sure refer to the picture she was shown. I also got a pedicure (wasn’t really given a choice on the type but it ended up being awesome, albeit expensive so I’m not too upset). My pedicurist was really sweet and did a great job. Overall I would give this place another chance but NOT with the person who did my manicure. Ask for Iris for your nails!

I’ve gone here for years and it’s really 50/50. Sometimes you’ll have a good experience and sometimes it’ll be less than good. Depending on you get. You can call and request someone prior if you really want. I’ve always enjoyed my pedicures but manicures are always a risky shot but so is it anywhere else in kingston. Workers are typically nice but sometimes rushy

Today my nail artist was Amy, and she did a wonderful job! I could not be more happy with how they have turned out! Last time I Had Nina and the time before that I had Tina. All have done wonderful jobs!

I came here today with two others, as we got in the door we felt rushed to pick a color. Two of us were doing pedicures and ANC. So as we were picking our two different colors we were extremely rushed and hovered over. The main person who was rushing us was the worker Ada. On top of the rushing, we ask for one thing but they keep pushing to add on other services. I come here about every two weeks but today might be my last day. This whole experience was honestly ridiculous and uncalled for.

Great work. Best place in kingston, will definitely be going back when I need to get my nails done again! ❤❤

I had my nails done by Nicky who was not only great at putting the colors together but patiently made them look BETTER than what I chose adding a little POP 😉...I loooove them Nicky Thank you!! See you in 2 weeks!!!

I got my nails done today by Nicky, she did an amazing job on both my pedi and mani. I showed her a picture of what I wanted done for my mani and she did a great job with them. She is gentle and not aggressive with her tools like many other techs are.

A little ridiculous to me that they charge full price for a 3 year olds mani and pedi.

I brought my daughter there with her friend for to have their nails done for their moving up ceremony, the people were very nice and gentle with the girls

I like this place because they do good work, QUICKLY. If you’re looking for a “plush” relaxing “experience”, this is not the place for you. The employees are all friendly. Some speak better English than others. It is always busy and the clientele is varied. From young kids/girls to handicapped to old men.

I like the owner and wish more staff understood English

Tech was in a hurry. Nipped my finger while clipping nails. Did terrible work on cuticles. Likewise terrible polishing. Bottle almost empty so not exactly her fault. Put timer on but it was broken. Came back when I called it to her attention. She re set it. Stopped again a few minutes later. Guy came over when I got his attention. Tried to re set. Touched nails said not done. Went away. Never came back with new timer. Tech came back. Said nails done. I put coat on....nails not done!!! Messed two. Asked for manager...twice. No one came. Left no tip. Never going back there!

I have gone to J’s many times. It really depends on the nail tech you have and the quality of their individual work. Today I had a regular pedicure + the callous remover. The process itself was fine, but the polish job was horrific. Half of my nail on each toe was painted, the end was not a smooth stroke rather random jagged ones, which is odd. It makes me contemplate going back. Unfortunately, very disappointing craftsmanship today.

I felt extremely rushed. Amy, the tech that did my work was extremely, extremely rude. I don’t mind moving quickly, but customer service is important. Aside from not speaking to me at all, she threw a towel on my hands, ripped it off. I will not go back.

Service has gone down hill... The guy k k was talking about my thumb being wide to the point when I had to tell him that he can stop and just do my nails .. Horrible job all around Ive had a couple girls done great but wont go back anymore

Love this place. People are always nice. I have seen them handle the most rude people with a smile and tact, when I would of just kicked them out the door.

If I could give no stars, I would. Ive gone here regularly for well over a year and the past few times Ive gone, I have had HORRIFIC service. Theyve cut me twice, the first lady didnt apologize and made me pay full price. They rush, they are very rough, and they are rude. I will never spend my money here again. Its a health and safety risk and it is not worth my time.

So over this place. I stopped going months ago because they upped their prices and downed their service. Always rushed and got sloppy. Tried today because my mom wanted to get our nails done and this was where she went. I wanted ANC but after waiting for 10 minutes after they sat me I opted for just a regular manicure due to time. WASTE OF MONEY. Every single nail wasnt done on the sides/edges. Got home. As soon as I touched something they all smudged up and off. That was the final straw. DONE.

Always love going to them always do a great job I get out of work late and some times come last minute but they always take me in with no problem and do my nails with care no rushing they all do a great job especially Tina I will not go any where else anymore

Ive gone off and on at Js I get the AnC there. 8 times out of 10 was I was very happy! The last time I went they were busy it was right before Valentines Day so I felt the job was rushed and it wasnt done as well as they couldve But I was still happy.. I was a bit disappointed with the massage payed the extra $ to do it for once because my back and shoulders were tight. Wasnt very good at all. normally there better. I really wouldnt trust anyone else with my nails.

Myself and my daughter have been going here for a few months ...my daughter wanted a marble like designs and the guy who did it did scribbles and it took him like over an hour ...it looked like a kindergartener did them ...even the other nail techs were laughing ..now whenever we go in they make him do her nails so I said something and asked if we could have a female that she didn’t feel comfortable and they still stuck her with him ...now whenever I get my nails done they crack!!! Recently I went back and told them and they just removed the nail polishes and repainted them over the crack ...I said shouldn’t u go over it with acrylic or put a new nail ...she was very rude she kept leaving and all over the place and needles to say she told me when I come back in two weeks to get it filled which made no sense because now my real nail is hanging off with the fake one and hurts so bad am furious ...nothing but issues with this place ..they make up their own prices and try to get u by offering massages which I didn’t think was legal especially asking my under age daughter ...this place is a hot messsss!!! And they wayyy over charge !!!

Terrible! Rush you in rush you out. Poor job. My anc has all bubbles. The girl knicked me about 4 times. They wanted to do my manicure while I got a pedicure. Made nothing but a mess of me. The guy offered a massage and left brusing on my spine from where he applied so much pressure massaging my spine? It was awful all around! Dont waste youre money!!!!

I went to get my nails done waited literally a hour & a half & they burnt me 3 times & cut my finger open while cutting my nails to make the coffin shape. They are also very rushy & don’t care about there customers I didn’t want to put any stars but it’s the only way I could write a review
