Lafayette team did a great job start to finish. From the quoting process, during the installation, and through startup of the new unit. Professional, high quality, and very reasonable to work with. I love the new unit. Significantly quieter operation than the previous unit. Highly recommend and will use again for future needs.

Had our heat go out on a Saturday night, called first thing Sunday morning and they had everything fixed by 11 am! Everyone was extremely courteous and professional. Definitely will continue to use them in the future for any HVAC needs. Highly recommend!

Been with heat pump people on Sullivan Street since 2006 and they were bought out I guess so if service and staff are as good as former owner of my head pump place it will continue mine and my brothers first choice. The older company could not be beat as id ask for certain tech all the time so hope it continues to the same quality.

They all worked so hard to get my new unit in despite the sweltering heat both inside and outside. Frank was very professional and personable. I called with a problem and Lafayette fixed it. Sunday July 19, 2020Noticed this morning that AC temp was high. Called and answering service said (James) tech would call back. Very soon, he did and said he’d be out by 12. And he was. Replaced motor and starter. Very pleased with service, techs manner, professionalism, work ethic, and cost.Highly recommend Lafayette AC in Kingsport.

Lafayette Air Conditioning replaced my old Carrier heat pump with a new unit, and i couldnt be happier. Donnie Phillips came out and did my estimate. He was professional, knowledgeable, and honest with me. The men that put in my new heat pump were so nice. They were friendly, professional, clean, and worked hard. My new unit works great, and I cant recommend Lafayette enough.

Cooling unit stopped on what might have been the hottest day of the year. To make matters worse, it was on a Sunday. I called and spoke with their answering service, told them my issue and within 10 minutes I received a call from the technician. He was at my house within 20 minutes. Problem was resolved in about an hour. Havent had no other issues since. Highly recommend!!

We couldn’t have had a better experience. We were weighing our options of repair vs replacement of our outdoor unit. Donnie was great and gave us his opinion without pressure to go either way. We felt the price was very fair and the replacement was quick.

Do not use this company. Their website claims that they “ pride themselves on no call backs and do the job right the first time” and that is completely false. We had our unit serviced less than 60 days ago and the exact same issue we paid $600 to fix is back again and they refuse to help us in anyway. The woman on the phone was EXTREMELY RUDE and told us that $600 was a “discount” price. Please spend your money elsewhere for a better job done. I regret using this company.

James was at our door within 10 min of my emergency call on Sat with 93 degree temps. Our thermostat was replaced and cooling within an hour. James was very competant and professional, but very down to earth. AND followed CDC guidelines to the max.

Tech Frank was extremely accommodating and went the extra mile to get my HVAC unit functioning. He showed up at 7 am and replaced the compressor in my unit. When I returned home from work it had quit working. I called him around 5 pm and advised him of my problem and after a few phone calls, he called me back and said that he would come back to see what had failed. He arrived around 7 pm and checked the unit and determined that a high pressure switch had failed and he bypassed it and ordered the necessary part. Now this is going above and beyond what is expected . I have air conditioning now and I cant thank him enough. I hope all of Lafayette Techs are as caring as him. This man needs a raise. Thanks Frank!!!!!

Donnie quickly responded to my inquiry. These guys took out old equipment, reworked ductwork that needed upgrading, added extra vents and return upstairs so that it would be comfortable, and numerous other needed upgrading in less than 3 days. I am now basking in a nice cool home!!! Donnie and the guys were so easy to work with, answered my numerous questions (thanks guys), and were all around proficient and courteous.Lafayette staff is GREAT!

Great customer service!

Called yesterday because it was 85 degrees upstairs in my house. Chris was here at 8am today, had the problem diagnosed and fixed by 8:30. I was afraid we had a coolant leak, but it was only a capacitor. Appreciate the speedy service and will continue to use Lafayette for my HVAC needs. Highly recommend them.

The technician was prompt, courteous and efficient. My only concern is the amount that I was charged. The job took 30 minutes plus travel time and the labor charge was $85 which is probably standard for this area. I was charged $88for a capacitor that I can buy from numerous places on the internet for about $20.

Great service! My AC wasnt cooling and the repair was super fast! The technician, Mr. James was super courteous and knowledgeable. He worked fast, call me before showing up and used shoe protectors (in case you are worried about your floors). Now the house is cool again!

Im posting this on behalf of my daughter . She had them come out to give an on a new installation. When they finished, they said they would give her the estimate by the end of the week. That was 10 months ago!! Ive called them twice. The last time the lady finally called me back. They said she would have to finish the remodel first which to me dont make sense. They would have to cut into the floors for the ducts. Any way, they never called her in the beginning to tell her anything. Very poor customer service I would not recommend them.

Called them this morning with a borderline emergency. Technician was at my home in 2 hours and I was fixed in minutes. He replaced some sub-par pieces and Ill never have this problem again. Great service and great price.

Fast, super helpful and honest. It’s super cold and I called about my emergency heat. The manager asked me some questions and assured me that as long as the house was warm then it was fine, and that they could have someone out ASAP if it continued.

This group worked with us on our extended warranty for the Trane unit and worked with the Trane Customer Service unit as well. Shana, Chris and Donnie displayed the utmost professional customer service at all levels. In addition, Cindy at the Trane Customer call line was instrumental in the great service. I highly recommend Lafayette and will use them again myself. THANKS

I really appreciate how professional, prompt and hard working everyone is here. I really like the people and the service they provide. I have an old house, with a cranky and increasingly geriatric HVAC system, and Lafayette has always founds solutions for my problems at a very reasonable rate. We lost heat during this last bit of really cold weather and Lafayette came out as soon as they could, fixed my system and cleaned it up really well. I would genuinely recommend them to everyone.

Classless servicemen, absolutely classless. Their servicemen rev up their van motors and flip patrons the middle finger for no apparent reason. Do NOT use this inept service. My business will always go to Chad and his excellent service staff at Custom Heating & Air. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Called and set up an appointment to get an estimate because I want to replace my HVAC unit, so this wasnt going to be a small expense. Donnie came out and spent about 15 minutes, when he left told me he would email me the estimate later that night. Later that night, he called and said there was no way he was going to have time to send me that email (made me feel like my business wasnt important). He did say he would have it to me the next morning. Here it is 4 days later, and I STILL dont have his estimate. What a horrible way to conduct business and make your customer feel like youre not trustworthy. I like to keep my business local, and support small business owners, however, Lafayette has lost my business. Hope the owners read this, and see how their customers are being treated. What a shame.

Very friendly and this day in time its hard to find a service of any kind that isnt out to get you. The gentleman that service my heat pump was very respectful and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone! !!!

I called Lafaytette Friday before Christmas due to an interment problem we had with a year old hvac unit heating last winter. It occurred again this fall but was worse. The technician, Chis, came out within the hour I made the call. Diagnosed the problem. Called a co-worker, Mike, to confirm problem and fix it. Problem was the unit vent pipes were the wrong size when unit was originally installed by another vendor. Their work was quick and good. Problem solved. The technicians were very courteous and price very reasonable.

Service Technician James serviced our inside and outside units on 10-10-2019. He was very particular and did a great annual service on the units. Thanks to James.
