Dennis and his staff are wonderful. They do so much good. We volunteer here frequently as a family. We have always wondered what HEB, Walmart, and other food locations do with food close to expiration. This food operation has done a great job creating relationships with local food establishments to provide high quality food to those struggling to make ends meet.

This place is heaven sent, some knats around sometimes but not too bothersome. This place is definitely a must to go to if youre in need of food items.

I volunteer here when there open to help out the community and it makes me feel good inside, the good is terrific and people need help so Im glad to help when I can

Good place to get food once a month. When i went on June 10 21. They are still enforcing that everyone wear a mask. So bring your mask.

I absolutely LOVE this place! If not for them, my family would not make it through the month! Fresh produce, fresh bread and poultry. They even have formula for infants some days. The lady at the front desk is ALWAYS so nice and has a smile on her face. She really cares about her people!

Great food just make sure you go straight to get your produce from around the corner before putting your food up in your car. Even tho someone inside TOLD is to go to our car first and put up the cake, we got almost yelled at. He acted like we were trying to do something illegal... Gosh.

My first visit was easier than I thought and quick to get registered, they even excepted my expired out of state ID

Great place for people needing help

I cannot thank them enough. They were so good to us in our time of need. We were literally down to about a day and a half worth of total food in the entire house. We are extremely grateful to them. They were literally our saving grace and kept us from going hungry. They were an answered prayer.

They give you a good amount of food for the amount of people in your household

People are nice and all you have to do is walk up

This place gives pounds of food to families and individuals in need each month. People can use the services once a month and can come in anytime during the month. This place also has fresh produce. They have some there but the best time to come is on Fridays when they get a large selection in from the Capital City Food Bank in Austin.Bring your own bags if you can to hold some items. They have some boxes to put food in. The food care center is always in need of food donations. Including canned or fresh meats, canned and other nonperishable food items like noodles and rice. They would also benefit from some donated household and hygiene items like paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soap etc for clients in need who are running low during the month.

As a chaplain I am thankful there are food bank service locations within the Central Texas area. I saw how the support staff were very courteous to all the customers. The quality of food items, even donated pizza from a local businesses helped supplement the lack of available protein. The fruit and vegetables were fresh grocery quality. I was pleased to observe the efficiency of this well needed community service..

First of all let me start off by saying the staff was wonderful but I still could not get the lobster I ordered and the lady with the two foot of buttcrack kept staring at the desserts and I felt trapped and my shopping cart could have used a little oil to but other than that it was super fantastic and I would recommend anybody from all walks of life to go in to this place and have free food or whatever 🤔

I may not have been here long, but coming straight from Houston to Killeen to start my life over; This organization made it easier on me with food. The lady who helped me at the last minute, took her time with me to explain their services and little events that they have that could better me and my circumstances. Most of the volunteers are friendly, understanding, respectful and very quick to get the job done. Thank you

It meets my needs as Im on a fixed income. It provides your basic food sustainability. The Mormon volunteers, in addition to other volunteers who provide assistance, are a godsend. Im very grateful for having the Food Care Center available to us in our time of need.

I have taken clients to this Location more than I can remember and at least 1/3 of those trips we were greeted by a few volunteers that were just rude.

The people that volunteer are helpful and nice. They may seem rude to a person the first time they go but theyre trying to get allot of people through in a very short time with efficiency and that they get all their food. I wish I didnt have to go and earned enough money to be able to donate instead. I cant thank these people enough for all they do for our community

Everyone here is friendly. The re is paperwork the first time you come to their pantry and then your given a card for when you return. Ive come here on several occasions when my food stamps got canceled. The earlier you come the better.

This is a food bank. Very nice volunteers. Lots of food available. No one makes you feel like you are beneath them.Quick and simple sign in sheet, asking basic questions.

The Killeen Food Pantry is Awesome, the best one I have been to. The volunteers are friendly and their to help you! If its your first time you have to fill out stuff tben get approved after that the staff tells you how many of each item.

Being a resident of Killeen for many years I have found for time to time needing extra help with food. Let me say no one here makes you feel bad they are helpful and kind as they should be. But people that means you... Never should you take more than you need. That means someone in need doesnt get to eat. (I e just because its offered dont mean ya take it) theses people are doing the Lords word. Jesus said Feed my people the people need to be thankful and not greedy.

I went and received a bunch of expired stuff.. ranch dip in the fridge expired a year ago, a box of brownies that expired 6 years ago.. lovely people. They just need to pay more attention to expiration dates..

A great place that helps those in need in Killeen. It is behind the 10th St post office. They have extra hours one Friday each month from 4-7 pm. It is the blue bldg. It can get hot inside though if you are walking through in the Summertime.

I dont know why there are so many 4 and 5 star reviews on here for this place. Im not going to kiss this places butt. Its a dump. Anyone has a problem with my review, DO SOMETHING. Heres the truth. The website is very poorly kept up .You can only go once a month and that is definitely not enough to feed a family of four.The food is always past the due date it is safe to eat and the dont give you enough food when you are there.They treat you like you are an idoit constantly asking if you have your card.Really if you dont have your card, why are you there?If you are going to call yourself a food care center at least act like one, let people come more than once month and give them enough food to feed a family and makes sure the food isnt so past the due date that it is safe to eat.

I really do appreciate that this place is here, but it is always overcrowded. Somebody should really put funding towards this place to expand it. Especially considering the fact that it helps out a mass majority of Killeen and Copperas Cove.
