My husband, young adult daughter and I had a really fun time on the snorkel/sand bar excursion! We learned a lot about the Florida Keys and marine life from the folks at Clearly Unique Charters. They worked very hard to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves.

Freaking awesome experience. The reef was amazing, the entertainment from the crew was spot on, and the sand bar was paradise. Water felt like a hot tub. I would definitely do this excursion again when we come back to the Keys

We were staying in the Keys and had friends in Miami meet us in Islamorada for a snorkeling/sand bar trip- it was amazing. The snorkeling was the best I’ve been on- although my experience is limited I really loved the reef they took us to. They offered plenty of beer and refreshments after the snorkeling and had tons of activities available once at the sand bar. The captain seemed very knowledgeable about the area and the waters and I would absolutely recommend booking with them again- was very simple to book, simple to find them and we had a blast.

We had such a lovely time. They didn’t pack us in like sardines. We all had nice places to sit and chill. The captain was super friendly, the cruise was gorgeous and peaceful! Would def do again!

I love going out on a smaller boat with just my group of people. We snorkeled, finished, and paddle boarded right off of a sandbar in the ocean. Pretty fabulous for a group from Minnesota!

Kayaks lined up and ready for our adventure! Had a great time with Capt. Eddie. We loved this tour as it was just a small group of people(no more than 6) We kayaked around a mangrove island while Eddie spotted wildlife and gave us info about the nature, then we went to another area to snorkel! Very relaxing and laid back! It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Key West!

If you are looking for a private guided tour... book this charter. No big groups of tourist just Captain Eddie and what you make of it. Snorkeling in the sponge field was different and the tour they the mangroves in a clear kayak was cool. Far away from all the other tourist. The boat could use some maintenance but we didn’t let that stop us!

Great experience with Matt at Clearly Unique Charters. Fun snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding and seeing the sunset from the boat. A must do when visiting the keys.

Windy day, trip should have been canceled. Snorkeled next to boat harbor, poor visibility. No sandbar, instead we went swimming in jellyfish infested waters.

Eddie was the man, he was knowledgeable & personable. The absolute best thing you can do while here. The glass bottom kayaks were beautiful. We even saw a couple of sharks and had one photo bomb us.

Very unique charter with the clear kayaks -- I have now lived in Florida for 28 years on an island and a house on the beach in Nassau, Bahamas.. feeling like I have seen it all this was a new and really cool concept for tourists and fellow Floridians to enjoy.

Matt and his deck hand, Max, were awesome. We had a party of 11 and they went out of their way to ensure we had a great time in a safe environment. We would highly recommend Matt and Max for a great family experience. They took us snorkeling and to the sand bar to paddle board, float and just have a great time. Matt, thanks for being an awesome guide and Max for being the outstanding deck hand. They were all about us having a great time....thanks!

The sandbar trip was great.

This was an amazing sunset cruise. It was perfect they had beer and wine ( included in price)The boat is a big pontoon perfect for walking around and taking pictures. We went to the gulf side and the water was smooth as can be, sunset was awesome, great people. Highly highly recommend!!

What an amazing way to see the beautiful waters of Key West! We went out to a beautiful mangrove “local spot” teaming with ocean life! The kayaks are awesome and easy to get comfortable in. We glided through the waters of the mangrove while enjoying everything below. The snorkeling was amazing as well and we didn’t want to leave! Captain Matt was awesome and made our experience very memorable. A must do while in Key West!

Captain Eddie is the best!! He was so much fun and informative. Was great with my kid. We snorkeled with stingrays, saw a couple sharks, dolphins playing, kayaking. What a great day. I highly recommend this trip!!!

Eddie was great. Very down to earth and truly wanted us to enjoy the experience. Before we even headed out to the island he spotted and named about 10 different creatures right off the dock! If you want to relax and enjoy nature Id recommend this adventure.

Just do it! We did kayaking and snorkeling in Key West and it was AMAZING! Capt. Eddie was awesome - it was more like a friend took us out on his boat to go kayaking and taught us how to snorkel. The clear kayaks are really cool.

Capt. Eddie is the best! It was just our group so it was very personal. Fast ride out, fun kayaking and an awesome snorkel spot. He even stopped the boat to let us see a pod of dolphin swim by!

Found these guys old school word of mouth apparently they have been around almost 10 years and refuse to be pushed out by the big companies there were only 4 on our trip and we were very happy we weren’t packed on one of the large boats (I don’t know how they could see the wildlife we did being so many of them scarring things away) I was surprised the pricing was so reasonable seeing as how expensive key west was I would have paid more, a similar boat assisted tour in Everglades was 50 dollars more and did not include snorkeling or clear kayaks! A must do!

As a concierge at Hyatt Resorts I get to go on all the trips in Key West Area, and what I love most of the Clearly Unique is the homey, relaxed and free feel of the boat and the crew, which you do not get with the other monopolized companies. It’s very important to feel included as one of the adventurous passengers, especially going out in the ocean, where one can’t just walk away in any given situation. Captain Matt and Capt. Eddie are full of ears, humanity, and personal interactions interested in satisfying your needs, creating unique relationships, and long-lasting memories which warm up the heart that never forgets. We saw other trips that went out on sailboats and were unsure so we called and asked what made the trip unique. The owner was so informative this trip was limited to 6 people and because it was on a fast powerboat there was more time to explore, we actually spent time in the gulf and the Atlantic we got our fill of kayaking and snorkeling and even saw dolphins on the way out. Lots of fun for the whole family.

I booked a tour through the website from California. Everything was as expected. Excellent customer service and accommodations. We told ourselves that we want to come back to Key West and do everything exactly like we did this time. This tour was a highlight of a great trip.

Fast boat, fun trip. The clear kayaks are cool and going into the mangroves is super interesting. Captain Eddie is funny and informative. The water was so clear...we saw a turtle, dolphins and horseshoe crabs. Definitely recommend this trip!

Our trip delivered everything listed on the website, but what we were not expecting is the 3 of us would have the whole boat to ourselves.It was a little choppy but the boat rode well and the captain kept us dry. Most of the trip we could see the bottom looking over the side, not what we are used to. We had a lot of fun and the captain even let my friend try his paddle-board. Snorkeling was as fun as the kayaking we will be back!

Perhaps I had high expectations going in, but I dont feel it was worth the money we paid.We got to the meeting spot (boat dock) 15 minutes early as instructed, but no one was there. They arrived by boat maybe 5-10 minutes after 9am.The clear canoes were banged up pretty well, and the small island we were boated out to didnt have clear water. Our guide did say theres a chance we may see a lot of different creatures, or we might not see any. We did see some fish and coral and sponges. Wildlife activity is not something a company can control, so that is fine. The canoe tour itself around the island felt short. Where we snorkeled also had low visibility (comparing this to a beach we did some snorkeling at), but we did see some fish.Our guide was very nice and laid back. He answered all questions we had.Overall it was a new and sort of fun experience, but Im not sure its something Id be interested in doing again -- not for the price.

The 4 hours we had with our Clearly Unique Charters guide (Eddie) was the best part of our entire Key West trip. The charter vessel was a bit worn and the kayaks could use some buffing, but those cosmetic issues didnt impact our relaxed and laid back fun. The come as you are idea in Key West works both ways, and our group spent the rest of the trip wishing we could have done more kayaking and snorkeling with Clearly Unique.

A little pricey for what you get. The motorized boat allows for more time in the water; about 4 hours round trip. However the kayaks are not well maintained, and supplies for snorkeling were limited and in poor repair. During the kayak tour we stopped for photos and when we asked for them, we were provided photos of another couple. Also the area for snorkeling was much deeper than advertised. The tour guide was less than professional during our time out.

Clear boats awesome. However we didnt go into the mangroves. We pretty much just kayak along the outskirts.

My wife and I and our twins (11) went out for a trip with captain Eddie and had a great time my son, went with my wife and did most the paddling my daughter with me she enjoyed looking thru kayak while I did the work ( dont worry super calm and shallow where we went) the captain said hes been doing this for almost a decade and enjoys it because the boat he uses gives him so many options. We saw lots of birds and fish and a few rays. Eddie grabbed a horseshoe crab and let the kids hold it, he also picked up a special jellyfish. When we got to the snorkeling portion he got in with the water until they were comfortable.See ya next time Eddie!

Sooo Much Fun! My Friend and I found these guys on our recent trip to the Keys. I needed some R&R and when I called about the ad I saw thinking we were gonna rent a clear kayak I was skeptical when I found out it was a tour. The owner assured me it was the right choice and even offered our money back if we did not enjoy ourselves. Wow Key West is a busy place with lots of large companies on every corner. We arrive at the boat to meet Captain Eddie (What a cool guy) you could just tell this guyloved his live not your typical young kid with a huge ego or a washed up drunk. He was a family guy that enjoys the outdoors. He gave us a great boat ride to a island where he led us around and picked up some crabs and jelly fish pointed out many birds and even spotted a couple of small sharks. We were not rushed and there was only 2 other people on the tour. We were not planning on snorkeling but Eddie insisted and got in the water with us promising how easy it was, What a bonus! Anyway I plan to go back soon and bring more friends to rent the whole boat I want to hear more stories Great trip!!

Weather didnt cooperate but we made the best of it. As super windy and a swift current. Like the small size of the group we had as apposed to the larger tours on the island. Eddie was a great guide.

A bit pricy compared to other charters, thats why I give it 3 stars. High prices aside, we saw dolphins and the captain made sure both sides of the boat had plenty of camera time while respecting the dolphins space. The snorkeling experience was nice; the staff was helpful and very friendly. We would have liked to see more but you cannot guarantee where different wild life will be. I would hope for a different reef next time. Beverages were provided for free on the boat.

They weren’t at the spot we were supposed to meet them at. We even received a confirmation text confirming our the location and meet time the day of the event. We arrived 25 minutes early. Tried to call multiple times and there was no answer. We were really excited to do this but ended up being so disappointed when we showed up prepared and they were no where to be found. Really shady. Beware.

This was the most incredible experience I have ever had! Rick was the coolest tour guide, me and my friends were very iffy about snorkeling and he made our experience perfect! The water is beyond clear at the reef and you get to see so much wildlife! There are reviews saying it is pricey but I don’t think it is for everything you get. Our tour was $99 each and we had over 3 hours out on the water. I totally recomend this tour!

My daughter and I absolutely loved it! What a great way to relax and see nature! Put it on your to do list! It is a must! It also includes snorkeling too!Well worth the money!

We had a great time on our Kayak and snorkel trip it was very informative and relaxing I will definitely be back.

Be sure you know what trip you are going on, each different website has a different excursion. We went out in a small boat that could hold up to 6 passengers. Our guide told us to take all rights turns threw the mangrove and said he would be here when we got back. So we did and then we went snorkeling. The kayaks are in bad condition a few screws were missing from the metal frame you see in the photos. I asked if they had any water on the boat and they did it was warm not in the cooler. At the end of the trip they ask for a 15 to 20% tip. I think you can get the same excursion for a lot less in Key West.

Trip was canceled but there was no formal communication sent out regarding the cancelation. I even got a reminder text to show up for the trip, which I did. I am submitting 3 stars because a refund was issued and I never checked my statement.

I took my grand kids out with this company because I was concerned that they might have problems snorkeling for the first time and at east they would be able to see they the kayaks, we enjoyed kayaking but Matt the captain on our trip was very patient and within no time they were snorkeling experts great trip

Captain was greedy and only want my money kayaks where clearly NOT clear the owner was a joke and one lobster only went through mangroves wasn’t pretty there was no Fish or wildlife of course I wouldn’t know because the kayaks aren’t clear they aren’t very professional was EXTREMELY of priced all they had for food and drink was water that look to be like it came out out of the gulf but don’t worry because they had stale crackers and dry bitter carrots Also the business was very unlegit and sketchyBe prepared to wait a long time the owner tells you to be there by 12:30 and it leaves at 1:00 and then it really doesn’t leave till 1:30 if you’re even lucky for that save our $99 and go on a real tourThe owner likes to brag about all his “money” and then then begs for tipsGood luck finding because there are no signs and most people don’t know either for future reference there at the end of dock D offered us a “private” ride if we paid 100$ more

Huge disappointment.We were sold a dream. Boat, snorkeling, glass bottom kayaking from an island. We only did the first 2 steps. Either saying it was for the program of the afternoon! This is not a problem of understanding because our American family had booked. 3 of our family only came for kayaking. They lost their morning. The crew was not really nice.All this for an exorbitant price!Do not go!
