We rented an electric car. Definitely a must in key west. only complaint is the lock box on the car was broken so we couldnt leave anything in it.

Rented scooters for one day to cruise around Key West and check out the sights and a golf cart another day. Both the scooters and golf cart where in very new condition and awesome!!!

Good experience. Carts are clean and well maintained. Several places in Key West offer cars and scooters for rent. Ive gone to Key West several times and this is definitely the way to get around. Saves your feet. Carts have tops so the sun isnt beating in your head. You can go a lot more places and do a lot more things with a cart especially if youre with family or friends. Well worth the expense. Beware, Key West maps are terrible. Many streets are one way and thats not shown on the maps. Also, you have to pay to park everywhere so be prepared. $4/hr. Minimum ½hr charge, and meter maids enforce it. Use your credit card, debit card or their app to pay. The machine will issue you a receipt which you place under your windshield.

These guys were great! Very accommodating and put us in the cart that best suited our needs. The day we were leaving they recommended we bring our luggage and theyd take us to the airport. Definitely one of the friendliest and most accommodating on the island.

Total Blast. Their equipment is new and clean.The staff was very polite and courteous. They thoroughly cleaned the Bike in front of us before handing it to me.The rates are very competitive.Absolutely recommend

The first time I went in a very nice lady helped my wife and I rent a golf cart for the day and all was good until the next day when we went back in this time to rent a scooter and the guys were very very rood and giving my wife the creeps from looking at her up and down to the way they talked to her we had enough and just decided to leave in the middle of the transaction. If you are looking for a Good place to rent Would recommend papa shooters great service by good people.

I went here to rent out on of them mopeds and the workers were very rude. One was very upset that he only got 2$ in tips and he was being snotty to everyone. We waited in line for 20 minutes and once it was our turn they said they were closed. Non of them will give u a name. One said after saying that they aren’t going to help us because they said they were closed “ we are going to go get beer now”. Very rude and I recommend papa scooters

This is an exceptional service establishment. Steven went above and beyond for something not related to the scooters and E-Cars that blew me away. I was unlocking my bike at the wharf and noticed that the front tire was completely flat. I called a few places who had no one onsite repairing bikes so I started to walk it home. Passing by this business we decided to check to see if they could help. Steven gladly filled my tire with air and also determined that it had a piece of glass in the tire. We quickly rode home and found a place close by to repair it. Thank you Steven!! That was above and beyond and youre our new Super Hero!!!

I would definitely recommend renting a form of transportation while on the island. This place was great. They even offer shuttle services to and from their establishment.

Great service, good prices. We rented scooters and a golf cart. Wife wasnt keen on scooting . They let her swap out her scooter for the golf cart.My bike wouldnt start, called them, expected a long wait but they were there in less than 5 minutes swapping mine. I highly recommend Hydro-Thunder.

I’m not sure how but they managed to remove my previous review.This is probably the only place in key west that is not amazing. To the contrary, it is absolutely awful.There is many rental places in key west but that’s the only one with red Vespas, still the entire team deserves to get fired. The guy at the reception is probably the rudest person I’ve met within 3 months in key west.This is not based on one experience, I rented a golf cart from them (hated the service), but went back again, twice. Shame on me I guess.

These little electric cars are great to get around Keywest in. They fit where other cars dont. The process was easy and the staff were friendly and pleasant. We will definitely use them again. 🙂👍

Really friendly folks. Im here on vacation and they are very helpful. When I went to rent the cart I didnt have a reservation but they still worked it out and got me a cart in the future I will make a reservation as they are busy. I cant stress enough this place is great too deal with and the carts are very nice

Just go to this place. The staff is friendly and efficient. The vehicles are NICE. Super nice. We had a blast driving this ultra fancy golf cart. When I come back Ill only use hydro thunder.

Older gentlemen working the counter (Chris) was rude and condescending. Clearly not in the mood to work or be helpful for that matter. Definitely shouldn’t be in sales, probably better suited for a desk job not dealing with the public.

Last time we were on a cruise, October of 2019, I got off the ship and rented a EMC(Electric Mobility Cart) because of my handicap. The price to rent for the almost brand new, very comfortable, and very fast cart was incredibly inexpensive. I had a ball whipping around Duval area bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend Hydro-Thunder to anyone driving or flying to Key West and definitely for cruise people when they start up again. And they have a free shuttle (tip the driver) from Mallory Pier to their warehouse.

Unfortunately they’re the only place that rents Vespa’s on the island. Went there around 5:45pm, there was no other parking in the street but in front of their store. So I parked there thinking I’m going to the store to give them my money so maybe they wouldn’t mind. The guy came RUNNING screaming that I can’t park there. After a few min conversation, not pleasant at all, the guy was straight up rude to me, he informed me that they had no Vespas to rent. Not willing to wait or argue more, I left. I also immediately went to their website to check, and SURPRISE SURPRISE they had a Vespa for pick up at 6pm. DO NOT HERE. Save yourself a good mood. People who work here are EXTREMELY RUDE. Save your money, go rent a scooter somewhere else

They were very friendly and informative. They had a motorized chair for me to rent when I didnt call till the last minute. I appreciated the good service that was provided and the motorized chair was new and in good condition!

Had to be the worst service I have HAD at key west would not recommend using them totall waist of time. Owners are rude and inconsiderate if I could give less than one star I would.

I scraped the scooter and was charged almost half the scooter cost. Can you please send me the replaced parts? Im sure you are not throwing them away. Will be nice to know how the local news agency feels about it.

The staff were all very friendly! When we got the scooters the shuttle came all the way to Stock Island to pick us up. They brought us back to the scooter place. A very friendly guy trained us all on how to use the scooters! Then they sent us on our way. They said to come back if we run out of gas and they would fill it for free. They even offered to drive us back to where we needed to go after the rental was over. This was an excellent experience and I will only rent from them for now on when I am in Key West.

I rented a 6 person golf card for 2 days @ $424.00. When I had returned it I tried to explain to 1 of the employee that we had problems with it. The key will not always turn. So we had gotten stranded for over an hour 3 times in 2 days. I had gone to Key West to get married. On the day of our wedding I had a hard time turning the key first time in the morning almost late to the ceremony. The 2nd time it refused to start because the key wouldnt turn was after the ceremony. The 3rd time after the reception. This was my wedding day I did not need the additional stressthink $424.00 is a lot of money. The employee I spoke to was extremely unprofessional and very rude. All I was trying to do is explained to him there is a mechanical problem with his Ignition. I ask to speak to a supervisor he tells me he is the supervisor! To have spent $424.00 for 2 days for a piece of equipment that was giving me mechanical problems and a very important day in our lifes! Steve the manager, if he real is the manager very unprofessional and rude. Steve told me I was going to get a call back as of today I am still waiting. I do not recommend anybody using a company who doesnt respect the patrons show professional courtesy to just listen.....Over Priced and No Customer Service at all. Id love to speak to the owner of this company he probably has no ideas company is being run the way it is.

This is a great place to rent from. Their rates are reasonable and the people are very friendly. We went to the first location and were told our rentals were down the street. They gave us a quick ride to the lot where we were greeted and promptly serviced. Seeing how I am short, the staff was able to fit me with the right scooter and adjust my rate. They then gave us lessons. Upon returning the scooters we were given a ride to our next destination. Overall its a great service run by friendly people. I will be renting from them when I visit again.

I went on to rent me out a 2 seater moped and out front there was a man that didn’t have a name tag so I can’t say it but his eyes were watery and red. He kinda was acting drunk to. He was acting very rude and when I asked for a manager he said he was the manager. He said his name was “Aunt Tim” which was very disrespectful and I will never go back to this place

Definitely recommend renting scooters when you’re in Key West! It’s honestly the best and sort of the only way to get around and check off all the major sites in one afternoon. If you’ve never ridden scooters before, that’s okay! As long as you’re comfortable riding a bike (hence, you have good balance) you’ll be fine.As far as parking mopeds, there isn’t moped parking on the main drags, but on the side streets there are. Trying to find 4 empty moped spots was challenging at times. At a couple places we parked at the end of the row of cars before the no parking began. Not sure if this is allowed, or if we just weren’t away long enough to get a ticket. Other times we had to drive a block down to find a spot.Hydro-thunder was awesome and was fairly reasonable. There isn’t a parking lot, and street parking can be difficult to find. Lucky someone left a spot a block down right when we arrived so this wasn’t an issue for us. You will need to navigate yourself as there is no map or GPS. This can be tricky as there’s no great way to check Google Maps and drive. I placed my phone in the cup holder and that sort of worked.There are locks under the seat so you can lock up the mopeds, however in the day in downtown Key West you should be fine. There is also space under the seat to store a small backpack or large purse. There are both single and double mopeds available. Also, they rent 4 and 6 person go carts. However, these require parking in regular parking spots so I would recommend the mopeds.Manny was the guy who was working when we rented. Very personable and fun to joke around with!

From the moment he pulled up the golf cart to the time we arrived back he was super polite. In fact the whole staff there is super polite and awesome and a pleasure to deal with. I will definitely be back and will only rent from hydro thunder because the customer service was just amazing and left me feeling like my business was appreciated!!!Thank you!!!!!!

Stay far away. Worst experience of my life, these guys are known scammers on key west. They rented us a golf cart for 1 day. We woke up the next morning and the golf cart was gone, the cops had noted to us that these golf carts are all accessible through the same key. Low and behold, we woke up the next morning and the golf cart was gone. They tried to charge us $9k on our card immediately after a police report was filed for the missing cart. It was found a few hours later after we refused to pay of course. They found the cart 3 days later at hydro thunder.Bottom line, stay away from these scammers.

I was having hip problems and didnt want to walk around. We were directed by the Visitors Center to the nearest Cart rental. We went to Hydro-Thunder and had the best experience from start to finish. When we were done for the day we were able to get a ride back to our Hotel totally unexpected. I would highly recommend to anyone to go here and experience the same outstanding service as we did.Thank you guys !!

Great Great Great personnel and rates. We rented the Cushman which is a 2 seater golf cart that has a storage area in back. For 8 hours $150. Easy pickup & drop off. They have larger seating capacity too. Will always rent 1 of these to get around while visiting Key West.

Only complaint I have is I havent received my $91.24 refund . Buddy couldnt rent last minute after me paying, gentlemen gave me receipt said it was refunded. This was Jan 1st I am not back in michigan jan 8th no refund. And the company name isnt even used it says dave inc supplies... BUT they did contact me a few minutes ago via email to look into this so I do appreciate that. And i will be back in april to have more fun in key west so hopefully they can settle this refund issue ASAP. They sent me confirmation of refund and I can rest my mind an not be out 100 bucks. Def will be back GREAT SERVICE

Rented a 4-person electric golf cart right as we got off the cruise ship. $90 for 4 hours. Drove all around the island, saw all the sights.Best way to get to see as much of key west as possible when getting off cruise. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great way to spend a day in Key West! Definitely will rent again when we are back in Key West.

Visited here on our honeymoon and rented a golf cart for a couple days. This place and there products are incredible. Manny, David, and Korey were all extremely helped and very nice. They are very insightful and go above and beyond to help you! Prices are also fair. Definitely rent yourself a golf cart if you visit the island!

Key West Southern Most Marathon well worth the trip

This is the best place to rent a cart or bike. Customer service at its best. Any issue was met w solutions. When i returned cart and left my glasses they brought them to my hotel. I love this place. The guys were fantastic. I cannot rave enough about how great they are. Continue to support this business as its the best in key west!

They have the snorkeling, Jet Ski Riding, and they offer Breakfast and Lunch on the boat.

Loved this place. We had thought about renting bikes but went with skooters. It was reasonable and everyone that worked there was very pleasant, especially Korey and Matt. Got to see a good bit of the island!

We just got back from key west fl had a great time. we serached around for a reputable place to rent a scooter for the day the hotel we were staying at endorsed and recommended Hydro thunder they came and picked us up in a brand new van the rental was simple and easy and everybody was incredibly pleasant I recommend every to go and rent from them the experience was great 😎

This is a good way to see Key West if you have limited time like we did. We were in for only 7 hours so needed to get around faster than walking. This worked great for us. Rented a four seat electric and went everywhere we wanted. We were able to drive all the way out to the bridge and all around town for drinks (definitely go to Fat Tuesday), Hemingways house, the southernmost mile marker, etc. Parking can be at a premium but we managed.

Really neat little electric cars. They have modern stuff. Nothing old and outdated.Had us in and out really quick with no fuss.Competitive prices and friendly staff. We will use them again next time we are in the area.

We rented a 6 person electric car.Shuttle showed up on time, the driver was excellent. Told me about some spots to go to plus showed me where the best beach was.Checking the car out was simple and painless. Check in at the end of the day was equally painless. When we come back we will use them again.Only thing I would suggest is raise the top speed up to the speed limit

We got off the cruise ship and were sweating bullets before we made it out the door. Just so happened to walk past the hydro thunder booth and saw golf cart rentals available - uhhhh, duh. Best $150 I spent the entire trip! 8 hours and free reign. If youre cruising, dont bother with excursions, get you a golf cart for the family and make your own day trip!

Nice rentals, had a 6 passenger big enough for the family. Parking is a challenge and most are past so you arent saving that much over the train which is $50 A person for 5 this was cheaper and I got to go where I, ummm, my wife wanted to go.

The wave runner tour was awesome. Our guides, Aaron and CJ were funny, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth.I was nervous that a tour with multiple runners would be slow, since it is basically one big follow-the-leader. But holy cow, that couldnt be farther from the truth! They put experienced drivers up front, and newbies in the back, allowing you to go full out if desired.Huge fun, well worth the price.

I have been a repeat customer of this place with normally good service. Last month I had an emergency and have to leave Key West so I returned my scooters 1 day early and explained my situation. I asked for a refund considering I am a repeat customer and an uncontrollable situation but they were not flexible. There are many other choices in Key West so I will be using another place on my next trip. Pretty disappointed.

Took a Gem cart, 5 hours $120, the price could have been lower, but totally worth the experience and memories, giving it the 5 stars because of the GREAT service, really kind and fast !!

Went on a guided jet ski tour with all my friends yesterday at our stop in key west. Had an absolute blast. Our tour guide was an awesome guy that knew how to make it unforgettable. It was my first time driving a jet ski and he game me some great pointers to make it easier. Lasted about an hour forty.

I have rented 4-5 times from Hydro. Each time has been a very decent experience. I am rating now since I just reserved for an upcoming trip. I see all kinds of bad reviews on here and am a bit surprised. And or, intrigued at some of the bad reviews vs what I see when I rent and what I know about jet ski tours and or scooter rentals. To be more specific. Several bad reviews seem like they did not understand what the were getting into for their jet ski rental. Anyways. Real good up to date equipment. I like them. They have treated me well.

Walked in, no greeting, asked questions and it was like pulling teeth. Terrible customer service, didnt want to even rent any of options since asking questions resulted in weird looks from the attendant. Im a tourist so seeing golf carts to rent to drive around the city isnt normal for me. All I needed was some suggestions and an explanation of how it works.

Customer service done right! There was an opportunity where they could have charged us extra due to miscommunication between us and our resort. They didnt! Honest and trustworthy business.
