The eco tour was absolutely incredible and well worth the cost. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and showed us incredible wildlife, sandbars and mangrove inlets.

Loved the mini speed boat eco tour with Bridgette who was an amazing guide. First time experience for us, good teaching for novices plus a dose of common sense will make this an enjoyable trip for all.

Took a Jet ski tour for five with a guide named Jake. He was really calm and made everyone feel safe, total surfer vibes too. Skis topped out around 43-45 mph which we were smashing throughout. Cost a fair pretty penny, but had to do it. If you enjoy being stoked get out there.

Sunset water sports has impressed me over and over again. They offer amazing value and fun for everyone. The staff is always intelligent and organized. Safari Eco Tour,My wife and I took the Safari Eco Tour and had a great time. Our guide walked us through all the things we needed to know about the boat and the navigation of the local water ways. For first time and experienced boaters it was a great way to see some of the mangrove islands.The channels are narrow and shallow so our guide did a great job of showing us things you cant see in a larger boat!

We did the dip and sip afternoon snorkeling. The crew was great. The day was perfect. Will be back one day!

Absolutely wonderful staff!From the check in at the little tiki shack office to the girl in the shop.We came in last minute ( got last boat so recommend booking ahead of time we got lucky lol) and got a hurricane deck boat. Some wear and tear on the boat but it did the job!My husband and I enjoyed a great day on the water after a few tips on the location, depths and paths to take from the very attentive workers we were on our way! They also had a bar and restaurant here we didnt eat there but it smelt great!They had jetskis kayaks and boats so seriously everything for anybody!We had a bunch of questions mainly coming from using boats in lakes not the ocean and they took the time to answer all questions and concerns we had which was very appreciated.Will definitely come back to this location and recommend for any person who ask!Update forgot a very important bag onboard and they kept it safe for us!!

In key west you can only rent a jet ski if you go on a tour. I was a little disappointed at first. However me and my 9 year old son had a great time doing the tour. The people are very friendly. We saw dolphins and a fighter jet take off. A must do in key west!

The steering crew is an awesome crew who really work hard to keep the customers happy. They know what they are doing and they took care of everything which is required. We just felt that the time was not enough to spend even after 6 hours of package used. The Do it all package had everything at a very reasonable price and more than worth every penny spent. I personally felt jetski time was not enough as they had only 3 jetski each of 10 min ride. Otherwise everything is awesome abt these guys.. please tip them as they definitely deserve it .

Be super mean and try to extort money for all kinds of excuses. And threat you for make your deposit down.Dont come here to rent a boat. So bad experience. What you do does not make any difference to me. What you lose for your company is customers and integrity. If your company is as good as you say, why is your Google Map rating only 3.5? Lowest rating of all chartering companies.

Sunset Water Sports Boat Rental was fantastic. My group of 6 rented their 21’ Cape Craft for the full day. I would HIGHLY recommend a full day. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, the boat was in great condition and their recommendations for nautical tracking and places to go was spot-on. They even took the time to track out our route through the channels and off the shore. They know their local waters, so I recommend taking their advice.I’ll be taking family and friends back for the same excursion our next trip to the Keys.Thank you Sunset Water Sports for facilitating a fantastic time.10/10 Recommend

Please read everything-Ok, so I read a lot of reviews for the charter service, I then called and spoke with Chris who was very nice and did answered all my questions to my satisfaction my main questions were was there depth finder, GPS and a blue tooth radio. When Chris confirmed that all three of my requests were available we booked two separate full days but unfortunately weather forced us to cancel one day. Now we are to the rental...... now I was told that we would be getting a center console boat which was what is pictured in the email we received, I wanted this style because it has a little lower drift than a ski boat (which is what we had) now Ms. Kris and Jimmy checked us in and we’re very up front about the weather ( winds 13-17 per hour 3ft seas) and very nice. Now mind you we had been told by Chris that Snipps key was a place we would be able to go to, that wasn’t true which I guess is fine but an expectation was set and not delivered. We were asked to download a free 14 day trial of a GPS for our phone to work in tandem with the boats GPS but the GPS on the boat don’t work nor was there a depth finder (which was promised) as I knew the Keys have very very shallow water. GPS on my phone was programmed with a sandbar to swim at and shipwreck to snorkel, we found the sand bar very easily but it was extremely challenging to drive a boat and look at my phone at the same time. Now let’s talk about the shipwreck fortunately we didn’t drive the boat directly over the shipwreck pin drop because we would have wrecked the boat as the wreck is only 1-2 fr blow surface. The sandbar was amazing and beautiful that’s honestly where we had the most fun that day. The boat was in ok shape, seats were a little tore as was the over hang but still pretty functional minus the GPS and depth finder we were told the boat would have . I followed all channel markers everywhere we went besides the sandbar we were given GPS to but still some how we managed to damage the prop, the prop already had some minor damage but at the end of the day we made it worse and unusable even with me trimming the engine non stop to account for the shallow water. Charging $150 to replace and change a prop is fair in my experience, but this place is not for beginners I myself have been driving boats since I was 15 and I found just getting out and especially back into dock a bit of a challenge. All in all it was nice experience but we did spend $700, but that’s what it costs to rent a boat and buy a prop in Key West.

Highly recommend. I read tons of the reviews which all the negative ones seem like the renters had no clue how to drive a boat. The facility is brand new. The boats are all in great shape. The service team was outstanding. The facility is awesome, new tiki bar on the water gives the true island vibe. We rented one of the brand new deck boats and went to a couple sandbars in which was easy to navigate to with the navionics app that the team onsite showed me how to use. We will be back!

We rented a boat for the day for 4 people. One of us is a captain. The boat we were given had NO navagation system, the fuel gauge did NOT work, the seats were moldy and upholstery was ripped and cracked, and the top to one of the coolers was completely broken off the hinges. What a ripoff especially for the money they charged. Thank goodness one of us was a captain. I don’t know the average person would have been safe in this boat. I DO NOT recommend using these people.

Had an awesome private jet ski tour of the Key West Island with Connor! He provided a lot of history and interesting facts along the way. He even found a pod of 6 dolphins for us! Great experience! Also our driver Angela was really fun and we had great conversations! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a jet ski experience.

We loved our jet ski tour! Our guide was super knowledgeable and had great tips for us being first time drivers. We got there about 45 min early and had plenty of time to take the boaters test and start the tour on time. If we are ever in key west again we would definitely do it again!

The staff is extremely nice and very knowledgeable. Everything was a breeze from start to finish. We had a great boating & fishing day. We highly recommend Sunset water sports boat rental!!!! My family recently rented a boat from Sunset Watersports in Key West. The boat was very well maintained and we were given safety instructions before taking it out. The weather was perfect and our family had a wonderful boating. When we travel down again we will definitely use this company again.

You must do the safari snorkel tour! you get to be your own captain and go on a beautiful guided tour! the tour guide was so awesome and friendly, the marina is a beautiful hidden gem! When you get back from your tour or renting one of their boats, stop by the marina store for some snacks and a cold beverage! such an awesome experience! 10 stars if i could.

They rub you when you come back from you boat trip - oh - this screw is destroyed- you must have done it!! 200usd payment and don’t give all constructive about the boat before departure. And I find the same screw for 110dollars - try to talk with them, but it was very easy to see it not was first time they have a situation like this.. absolutely sad that you want to be like this.. if I could - I would give you minus star!!

Had good customer service but had a few issues. The boat we reserved didnt have cushions so they gave us another and it wasnt the boat we wanted. They didnt compensate anything for that inconvenience and the boat we got the radio didnt work and top didnt go down. Again no compansation. Not sure if I will rent here again.

Party cat 😍, took do it all with sunset dinner cruise. Was an amazing experience. Good food. You can enjoy one day. 10-4 and 06:30-08:30. Parasailing, jet skiing are mandatory things to do. You get license for operating jet ski for 3$ good for an year.

My family and I wanted a nice, relaxing day at the beach. We asked for a few chairs, a couple umbrellas, and two kayaks. We were met with friendly service the entire time. However, later that day, we noticed our credit card was missing. The people working the stand never gave us our card back! We called the provided number, and the person on the line acted as if the whole thing was our problem, not hers.

We rented a boat, spoke to the company 3 separate times regarding confirming pick up times for the boat. When we got to the marina it was the wrong address. When we arrived at the right address we were told the boat was double booked and they had already sent it out with another party. The lack of communication between company offices and customers is awful!

We went snorkeling on their brand new $1.5 M boat and the boat is amazing! Captain and crew were great. The boats capacity is 149 people and there were only 11 of us, we pretty much got a private charter for 38 bucks a person. When we arrived at the snorkeling location though, i was surprised to find very choppy water, not like you see on tv calm, blue water that you can see down to the bottom through. This is the real ocean youre getting dropped off into so expect waves!!!

Rented from these thieves once. Rented what was described as the last boat and the trim kept leaking down which tore up the prop they made me pay for. Now that I am a boat owner, there would be no way I would go out with such a simple repair need. Let alone send a family out on the water then punish them for their own negligence. These people need zero business. They do not care about your safety.

DISASTERBrand New Equipment - Lowest Prices! is the first line of your website !What a joke !!!Father of a family of 6 travelling from Paris to key west for 2 days i Planned a day trip on a Patton 26 a few weeks ago.The evening before i went to see the boat with my daughter in order to prepare for the following day.When i got there - an employee celebrating the end of day with a few (...) beers... informed meOh... sorry the boat is broken ... these thing happen Come back tomorrow - maybe it wont be fixed at 9h... but later on ... come at 10h30It is true ... these thing happen unfortunately, but usually boat rentals have a bit of respect to inform you - and you dont discover it yourself at the last minute in order to build a B plan.The next morning when we arrived at 10h30 with my family - the boat was confirmed irreparable.The owner stepped out - and told me he had a smaller boat instead (Patton 22) completely beaten up, rusted, torned cushions, no N position on motor, ....He threatened me not to rent it to me if i did not pay the full price (9am - 5pm) without complaining for a rebate when i came back...whatever happened!What choice did i have...NONE !There were no boats left in Key West !So we headed for a nice sunny day.All was as expected - rusted, no clean cushions, hard to drive because of the broken gear.And guess whatAnother surprise... they had forgotten to take away the dead fishes in the trunk ...that were probably there for a few days.The smell was a disaster.We nevertheless had a nice day thanks to the fantastic sun and beach of Key west !And a safe family ride !But never againPlease respect the next travellers.Change your web site Brand New Equipment - Lowest Prices! We rent a boat there. It was very expensive and no service and boats are not as they should be. The staff is not friendly at all... The boats have no GPS!! So no tracks to help navigation in the shallow water of the bay. They give very few indication or suggestions for explore the area... I do not recommand Sunset Boat Rentas at all!!

Terrible place boats not in shape to be rented out. The service was so bad and the nerve to ask for a tip was amazing. We would discourage people on the street not to use this place. Surprised and disappointed that Sunset would be associated with this group

Had been waiting for a few days to find a boat rental company that would be open-minded enough to let me rent a boat in windy conditions (was blowing 19MPH from the South East). Am on my honeymoon and was the one thing I really wanted to do. I have spent 6 years in the Royal Navy, own my own boat and volunteer in the UKs RNLI so I know what I am doing on the water.Turned up. Met by two men who clearly could not be bothered. They then proceeded to tell my wife that we shouldnt go out, and that no one is going out and that there is nothing to see on the North of the islands (protected from the wind). They basically did their utmost to talk my wife out of doing it. Cheers guys.And thanks for ruining the last day of my honeymoon. I would have been quite happy just pottering around the North side of the Keys out of the wind. But you both did a fantastic job of telling my wife what an awful time we would have.Well guess what. You live here, and I dont, so what might have been dull as ass-paper for you would have been a time to remember for us.

Called at 530pm to see about going on their 630pm dinner cruise... told the lady I was on my way with 5 people. Showed up 20 minutes later only to be told they were sold out! If the stupid person told me that on the phone I could have had time to book another cruise. Instead I had to hustle to find another place and did except the boat was pulling out before I was able to get on it!!!They didnt seem to give a rats ass about it when I spoke to them about it either... and I am only in town for tonight.

Had a 4 hour rental, only got to use for 3 hours due to employees showing up late and disorganized operation. Rentals were in good condition and we had a fun time once we got out on the water.

We rented jet skis for the island tour. We had a great time waters were a bit rough that day so we didnt spend much time on the ocean side but the trip and views were nice.

Greatest experience, everyone on the crew was extremely kind, confident, and do whatever they can to give everyone the best time. Safe to say I want to work on this boat and do it everyday.

Pathetic food and not willing to serve pop and water. Charge extra for many services such as photo service and jet ski exam. Doesnt give enough time to complete all the water sports. Gives just 7-8 mins for jet ski that too for 2 people on one jet ski

April 2016, Terrible snorkel trip. They took us to a dead reef then gave us 40 minutes in choppy water! I did not know how bad this snorkel trip was until I went to a live coral reef in Key Largo, there are lots of different plants growing out of coral rock, thus lots more fish species!

Rented a waverunner while staying at Parrot Key. Great crew and had a blast.

We were hesitant to take the tour offered to us (1h30 guided by a tour professionnal). But then when we went to the Jet Ski area we were greeted by a very nice and decontracted crew. They made us feel very comfortable, and they told us about the basics of safety and operations. Our guide was Devin, and he was very funny and professionnal at the same time! He knew exactly what he was doing, and was able to have full control of the situation all the time. At one point I lost control of my jetski and we (my wife and I) fell from it in the middle of the sea, but Devin came to our rescue right away! Then he took us in the middle of a forest island that has a river crossing it, and we followed the river. It was great! Then we saw a house that was floating on the sea! A real house! It was amazing! We were also able to push the jetski very fast in an area where there was no boats and the water was flat like a mirror! We really felt like our money was well worth the tour! Everytime we go to Key West, well keep doing that tour, we already miss it so much! And we did tip them extra, but it was worth every penny! And thanks Devin again for a great time you gave us!

Lame snorkel 5 ft of water, no snorkel vest had to wear life vest at all time. Ops equiptment no enought snorkel hear and much more

Good service, we arrived on a Sunday around noon and we did the parasailing. They put us on the shift at 2pm and everything was very well done, the gentlemen were friendly and helpful, they explained things well.A great day ;)
