As a vendor that works with Florida Yachts Charters Ive found them to be professional and responsive and they clearly work hard to provide a quality experience for their customers. They purchase the equipment from us that will result in the best overall user experience rather than simply getting the cheapest products. Highly recommended.

Over the years I have chartered through 5 different outfits, at many locations both monohull and catamaran; Bahamas, BVI, Belize and now Florida Keys. My crew has seen the best and worst. We give Florida Yachts Charters 5 out of 5 stars. The staff and equipment were flawless.

This was my first time bareboating a catamaran and they worked with me to make a great trip happen. Nice boats and great checkout instructor. We accidentally caused some minor damage and were initially overcharged to repair it, but they worked with me to fix the bill. We’d definitely charter with them again!

We did a learn to sail charter so I could get my ASA certificates for bare boating. We had a great time while getting my certificates. Florida Yacht Charters was very accommodating to make the trip fun for the entire family. Thanks for the great trip.

Terrific charter company, everything was first rate, and they gave us good information for an itinerary. We sailed on Daydream Believer, very nice cat. Everything we needed was onboard, and operated properly. Wish the fridge was a little bigger, even for just 4 nights it was tight.Florida Keys are gorgeous, and although Ive lived in FL all my life, we had never sailed the Keys. Weather was perfect (Mach) and the winds just right. Loved the marina where the boat is docked, very nice and accommodating. We will definitely do this again!

We had a great experience with Florida Yacht Charters over Thanksgiving break 2020. We started off with a small communication blip (I missed a critical email) which left them thinking we were not coming (booked last minute). They worked us in anyway and made the trip a success. The suggested itinerary was helpful and they followed through on all that they promised. Boat was in good working order, clean and comfortable.

Ive had a great experience working with Florida Yachts. As the owner of a local marine services provider, its always a pleasure to work for a professional outfit that takes care of their yachts. They keep their boats clean and well maintained; and when they call me for repairs they insist that the work and equipment be top quality. I cant speak highly enough of Jon and Kimber. Theyre genuinely nice, friendly people, and their passion for what they do is obvious to anyone that knows them.

My husband and I chartered a FP 40 foot boat over the Thanksgiving holiday (Nov 2020). We had a lovely trip, but the boat had some problems - several we noted during our checkout. We did knock off a nav light that we noted during our check-in at the end of the trip and offered to pay for. We heard nothing from FYC until February. That was when we got a bill for over $1,500 in damages – which included approx. $300 for the nav light and A LOT of other things that were the result of normal wear. Some of the charges were for damages we noted during our check-out and/or have pictures to show they existed before we took the boat out. The keys were beautiful and we had a good time, but we will NOT be chartering with FYC again.

DO NOT BOOK A CHARTER WITH FLORIDA YACHT CHARTERS! I WOULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS IF I COULD!We had one minor mishap during our charter. When we returned we informed FYC and offered to pay for it. The repair for this item was less than $300. More than 2 months later FYC sent us an invoice and charged my credit card for $1600 worth of repairs. They charged us for missing items that were not on the boat when we arrived, for pre-exisitng damage that we noted when we arrived, claimed damage that was not there and basic maintenance items. We have pictures that support our claims. The owner Kimber did not want to do an in person inspection when we arrived. She said it was because of Covid. However she had us come to her office and sit at her desk for more than two hours to do paperwork. The morning we we returned the boat we had trouble reaching Kimber. When we finally did she told us she did not want to come to the boat to do an in person inspection because she had been out late the night before at a bar drinking and didnt feel well! So much for being worried about Covid! We have tried to work something out with them but they refused to respond to our emails. We booked this charter through Waypoints, an international company, which Florida Yacht Charters is affiliated. I have spoken with them and they agree that we have been over charged. The boat had several problems. The worst of them was the fact that the toilets were leaking into the bilges and creating a foul odor which we had to deal with for the entire week. There were safety issues as well, the anchor light did not work nor did the anchor chain counter. Kimber charged us for inspecting the anchor light! The Keys are a beautiful place to cruise and there are several charter companies in the Keys to choose from. DONT BOOK WITH FYC!

Chartered a 40 FP for 8 days and had the best time. The water was amazing and the facilities where the boat is kept are top notch. I recommend booking a room at the marina a day or two before the charter so you are not so rushed to get there and on the boat. Spent a couple nights out at Boca Grande Key and saw dolphin along with getting onto a private beach...Amazing sunsets. Spent the rest of the week up near Loo Key and had some amazing snorkel trips. The Captain/Instructor Chris was amazing and I learned a lot from him and was able to complete my ASA certifications in the 5 days he was with us. Highly recommend Kimber and FYC if you are planning a vacation to the Florida Keys.

Received an initial response to my request for a quote, that was over a week ago with. I have now left them 2 voicemails and multiple emails to try and reserve a boat. No response back. I was ready to give them my money. Glad I saw the other reviews posted here indicating their lack of responsiveness and professionalism.

Avoid like the plague. In February 2019 myself and 4 friends chartered the catamaran Neverland on the Florida Keys for 4 nights. Arriving on Thursday, we intended to spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday sailing prior to handing over the yacht on Monday. Friday morning was spent working through the paperwork with their representative and then we attempted to cast off. This is where the laundry list of problems began. One of the engines refused to start. This is a considerable problem on an catamaran. A mechanic arrived promptly and proceeded to spend 3 hours fixing the engine. Given that one of the conditions of charter was that the yacht was moored by sunset this lost us half a day’s sailing. Throughout the remainder of the charter we experienced further issues with both engines, alarms and warning lights. This would suggest that the engines were not properly maintained. In addition, there was a zip caught in the main sheet which impeded use of the sails and the safety kill chord on the yacht tender didn’t work. The air conditioning also cut out repeatedly registering errors on the panel. Given that we had paid a considerable amount of money for this charter we discussed compensation with their representative who appeared to be amiable about the idea. Since the trip we have contacted them multiple times and they have ignored all correspondence in the hope that we will simply go away. We find them to be a dishonest group of people that prioritise their profits above customer service. In summary if you are looking to spend some time on a catamaran as an alternative to hotel accommodation and you are happy with air conditioning that doesn’t work then this organisation may be of interest to you. If you have a competent crew and actually want to do some sailing give them a wide berth. The upkeep of this vessel leaves a lot to be desired and you’ll have wasted both your time and your money. Avoid.

DONT DO IT...Wanting to charter a yatch from theses people, it took them 6 months to say NO. by that time, there were NO other charters available. upon requesting them to return my check, they decided to shred it, thus eliminating my paper trail for accountability. now they refuse to pay for the check cancellation fee. this is NO way to conduct a business...
