This was the best fishing trip I’ve been on! We caught a bunch of medium sized fish. Also, I caught a shark!!! We let it go of course!! The deck hand Louis was the BEST!! Someone in our party dropped the rental car key in the water and they did everything they could for us! Louis actually jumped in the water with flippers and a mask and found our key! Above and beyond for sure! Alice was our captain, and let me tell you she can drive a boat. She put us right on top of the fish in all the different spots we went to. This was the best fishing trip EVER!!! The people that or taking you out there and helping you make sure every kid catches a fish because they try to get one hooked on their fishing rod and give it to a kid and say that that’s theirs and that they caught a fish. They feel you what to keep and will unhook the fish will throw back to ones that you don’t keep, they give you plenty of bait and refill it, and they take you to multiple spots after a while but if nothing is biting they take you to a different spot pretty quick if there is no fish, and they use different weights and guide you through how to use the pole and reel, they are also super nice and helpful to everyone and when you give them a tip they are super great full for any tip.

Sailors choice is an excellent experience that only gets better. This was my 8th or 9th time.This trip, the lady captain had to deal with an unruly passenger. She handled the situation like a true professional.She drove the boat ride back to the dock, where law enforcement was waiting.She told us shed give us more time fishing, and wow! 2 more good spots. The boat as well as us, caught plenty of fish. This is always a good time that keeps getting better!Added value : for tips, the deck hand filets your fish, and sharks await the scraps!

Captain and Luis were amazing, they helped me catch a 4.5 foot barracuda it was an amazing fight to get him on and I got to take home all the yellow tails snappers I caught, they ask you if you would like for them to filet them or keep them whole ... I will definitely be coming back !! AmaZing experience

Great relaxing trip. Kishian the deck hand was super helpful and has a great personality. They clean the fish for you at the dock so you can either take hime to cook yourself or he will tell you what restaurants around there you can take it to and have them prepare it for you by the pound. Will definitely do again when back in the keys.

Really enjoyed my trip with this boat! I fish quite often and was very weary as this seemed like a “family fun fishing trip” and we would be going for small fish all day so everyone can say they caught something. That was not the case, as some pretty awesome fish were caught by most people, even the beginners. Captain was present and personable, not something you find often on party boats. Had a great time, went home with grouper and snapper, highly recommend!

This was the funnest thing I could do with my clothes on in Key Largo. Hadnt put a fishing pole in the water in over 36 years and the captain and her crew showed me a great time. Caught several fish and had two keepers which I had to donate to others as we were too exhausted to wait for them to be cleaned and dressed. If I ever make it back to Key Largo, this is something I will gladly do again.

Captain Alice and mate Luis were phenomenal! They didnt have the minimum required to go out and still took us anyway. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a good time and caught fish! They were very personable and had a great sense of humor!I would thoroughly recommend you check them out!

Pirates coves water sports had everything you could of imagined to do on and in the water... The staff was first class and very helpful... We did water snorkeling and jet skiing with the following company... The snorkeling trip was amazing and the captain and his staff were very compassionate and informative about their job... I enjoyed learning about the area and the sea creatures on the way out to the snorkeling site... The boat was not over crowded only two other families with parties of two in each... The company staff was very nice and helpful in instructing both activities... I will highly recommend using this company when on Key Largo...

Our family did the afternoon half day. Captain Alice was amazing! The fishing was a little slower than normal the day we went so she stayed out longer for us. We took our 16, 13 and 8 year olds and everyone had a great time!! We ended up with 17 keepers. Lewis prepared our catch and told us how to cook them. (we had no idea being from South Dakota) I would highly recommend! Very friendly and helpful staff, clean boat and a great time.

Everything you could want in a fishing trip and more! Worth the drive from Miami! My friends and I are visiting Miami as a grad trip and we’re looking for a fishing excursion that was affordable and in the area. We found this and contemplated the drive to key largo but decided it was worth it for a day trip and it definitely was! I have been on more expensive deep see fishing trips before and we caught some stuff here and there but there were people that also didn’t catch a thing. Not here! Everyone on our boat caught multiple fish and the guides were extremely attentive. There were about 30 people on the boat and every-time a fish got on they were right there to help you with a great attitude and even some camaraderie. Our captain was also awesome. She was a cool lady. She caught a few monsters and even handed the rode to one of our friends who had never been fishing so he could real it in and let us keep it! She even shared her whole sandwich with him. They cleaned our fish for us and gave us more than we caught even though we already had a lot. They threw all the fish in a bag and we went to a restaurant on the marina and they cooked it for us. It was awesome. great staff. Can’t believe how cheap it was for such an awesome experience!

Definitely a great experience. True professionals, and they enjoy what they do. The mate was really great, the pre trip instructions was the difference maker. The trip was worth it. Will be back again. Thank you sailors choice.

This charter was so much fun.between Lewis the deck man always there to help and the captain even rig my line up the way they do it in the key completely different Fishing than I’m used to in the gulf the fish were not biting very well not their fault thats just fishing but the Captain and Louis stayed out 1 hour longer until everyone caught something I’ve been on a lot of charters and have never experienced this before5 stars all day

Just spent the afternoon fishing aboard Sailors Choice! The captain and mate, Andrew, were absolutely fantastic! They were helpful and friendly and made the experience worthwhile. It was great that they provided the bait, poles, etc. We caught about 15 fish, a few of them were too small to keep. My son was the only kid on the boat and they made sure he had the best experience possible. We stopped at 3 different locations on our trip. Also, it was great talking with Andrew about the Chicago Bears, as he is a huge fan! Andrew does a great job filleting the fish for you to take with! Great value and we will definitely be back!

Very happy with this charter. The first mate was a very hard worker. The boat was organized and well ran. The captain put us on fish the whole day despite the current being an issue in some locations. The best part is that I was able to catch dinner for my wife and I.I would highly recommend this charter if your looking around Key Largo. Some regulars I met on my trip are Florida residents and they drive almost an hour just so they can fish on this boat.

Fish wasnt biting, but captain and mate put in a hell of a effort. Good trip for the novice, probably wont satisfy a seasoned fisherman.

Great crew! I’m not even a review person but they way this guy and all staff treated my son was amazing calling my son by his name! they made sure he caught fish he was putting him on to reel fish in off his line! took us to a couple spots not a crazy good fishing day but that’s how fishing works some days they bite some days they don’t overall great crew !

Went out for the AM charter on 7/16/20 with Captain Alice and Kishlan (1st mate). Had a great time out there with our three daughters who were out on their first off shore fishing adventure. Captin Alice put us on the fish. The girls pulled in 10-12 keepers, mostly grunts and yellowtail. Extremely nice staff, and well run boat. Appreciated that Captain Alice took some time to come out and talk to our girls. They were amazed that we had a lady Captain. Kishlan made some dynamite filets and we thoroughly enjoyed cooking our fresh catch back at camp. Would highly recommend and will return when we get back to Largo.

My 15 year old son and I had an AWESOME time! He was hoping to catch something big, and the crew must have known! While we were in the front, they got something big on a line in the back and let him reel it in. It was a 39 inch barracuda! His arms were sore after the fight it put up, but he got it on board! Thanks to everyone here! We will be back!

Omg. What a fun day on the water. Our captain was awesome. Fun friendly and engaging with the fishers. Captain came down and fished with us. Anything he caught he let someone reel in for him. Hoping a big one was on the line. He worked hard to keep us on fish for the entire trip. The crew! Attentive, knowledgeable and super friendly. Definitely recommend. Better than another fishing charter we went on the day before.

Had a good time with my dad and sister.Kishian, Marcelo and Jo were really helpful and made our experience the best.Hopefully will be back one day but we definitely know the place to go back to if we do!

This is the best guided fishing experience I’ve ever had!!! I’ve lived in south Florida over 10 years and I will always remember this trip!The staff were not only professional, knowledgeable, and friendly but they went out of their way to make sure everyone on the boat was taken care of and having a great time.We caught so many fish!! Wish I could add all the pictures!The boat was clean, the bathrooms were accessible, they sold snacks and waters on the boat, there was plenty of room to fish and socialize!I could just go on about how great this staff was. We had a great time this weekend with Captain Alex and mate Keshin! We landed a huge mutton snapper, 50 yellowtail and a few others. Very fun, friendly and clean! We will be back!

The crew is excellent, the captain is a very social person, only if you go fishing with the hope of bringing your dinner, it is lucky in 4 hours of fishing, it is not much you can do if they put you in a place where the fish hang out. 4 hours is more for those who want to learn to fish and make a couple of attempts catching tiny fish

I took my 4 & 6 year old as well as my parents on the trip. Seriously so much fun for all! The captain and his mate were amazing and very genuine. They made sure my boys “caught” some fish (got one on the line and let the boys reel it in). The whole boat was cheering for them! So sweet! We moved locations 4 times. They were not going to let us sit there and not catch any fish so once a dry spell hit, we moved on. Best chance to hook something is when you first arrive to the spot (drop your lines quickly). We went on the afternoon tour by the way. The front and back of the boat seemed to be the hot spots. We were on the side. Still caught a handful of fish but not as many as the front and back. There are bathrooms on the ship. We brought all of our own food and drinks. Water was absolutely gorgeous. Would definitely book again. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Had a lot of fun on Sailors Choice. Boat was clean, crew was friendly and attentive, and captain did what she could to keep us on the fish on a difficult day. Would definitely go again.

Very fun half day. Seas where rolling and the captain put us on a good spot every time x3 Crew caught live bait . Boats rods and reels where new or well kept/clean. 20/30 min. To the fishing grounds and we fished depths anywhere between 25ft - 75ft. Everyone on board caught fish. Captain and crew kept a safe deck all the time, no flying hooks or weights laying around, and fish where bleed and put on ice right after pictures where taken.

Although the fish werent biting we still had a good time. The crew was great and the Captain was cool and tried to make it entertaining. We caught two fish which they filleted at no extra charge.

We had a great time. Not a lot of fish but maybe next time.

We had a fantastic time. The crew was helpful and just all around great. They work hard and seem to genuinely care about your experience. We mostly caught grunt which are small but they are delicious. We took home enough for dinner. The boat was full but we still managed to have room, and never had to wait long for help from the crew. Well worth the money and highly recommend! We will definitely be going out with them again.

My 13 year old daughter have been on the boat twice this year and the Captain and Mate are the best. A very fun time each time we would recommend this trip to anyone looking for a fun outing in Key Largo.

Sailors Choice was a great party boat to charter. Check in was simple and painless. We brought a cooler with food and drinks which was cool. Captain Alice put us on fish and was very catering to guest who werent handling the water well. Mate Kishian is a rock star. Extremely helpful and down to earth. Put us on fish and even handed the rod off to my wife so she could battle and land a 46 barracuda! Definitely will be back and would recommend to anyone looking for a fishing trip in the keys area.

Great day fishing ! Captain Alice and 1st mate Andrew were great! Thanks to 1/2 capacity on the boat due to COVID restrictions, no tangled lines and a great day. Andrew even filleted my fish (2 Porgeys and a Mutton Snapper) and advised me where to go (restaurant wise) to have them prepared. Very professional team, very clean boat (with a bathroom!)You can’t beat the price for the action- best deal in town.

The worst experience I’ve had fishing in the keys ever. Family was down and we took them out on the party boat. Conditions of the boat were horrible, the way the captain and the deck hands spoke with us were very rude and to top it off the fishing in the keys was horrible. I’ve been on many party boats and charters down there and always been put on great fish but this time it was minimal to put it nicely. If you’re looking for a place to party boat fish, sailors choice is definitely not the choice.

We’re Definitely going again. The captain and first mate were awesome. The Captain worked hard to put us on some fish. He Moved us 5 times and every time the boat pulled up fish! The current was pushing 8oz weights like nothing. It was a Tough day on the water ...however, my fiancé and I managed to Pull in 9 keepers !Also, while the fishing was slow and not producing the captain himself and first mate worked hard on trying to put the Young kids on the big barracuda behind the boat. If you have kids this is the boat for you.I can’t say enough about the First mate . He was Great with the kids and cleaned our fish well. He was personable and knowledgeable.

Love Captain Alice!! She was willing to try several locations! While keeping us out of hard waves and high volume areas! The group caught a couple groupers and snappers, a slow day but She knew where to go!! She can take you to fish but can’t make them bite!! Either way was a great day on the water with friendly people!! I would love to go again!!

I had my godson visiting from out of town.He really enjoyed it. He caught a few small fish.My only complaint is they wanted $10 to filet them. I dropped him off and picked him up and didnt have any cash. So my husband did it when we got home.He did have a great time overall.

On November 29 at around 11-11.30am my group was out trolling for wahoo, when suddenly this “Sailor’s Choice” ship rudely and irresponsibly took a sharp turn right behind our wake and cut off our lines. We lost some very expensive equipment and unfortunately had to end our trolling trip for the day. A very embarrassing display of fishing etiquette by a “professional” charter. Unsafe, careless and ignorant. Will be reporting.

It is safe to say that my family and friends have been on this charter 50+ times. The Captain and Crew are always amazing, saftey and customer service is a priortiy! They go out of there to make sure everyone has a great time. My family and I fished on many charter boats prior to finding Sailors Choice, this is the cleanest, well maintained charter boat we have ever been on. The crew is always over the top fantastic, courteous, knowledgable and professional, Sailors Choice will continue to be our Choice!!

It used to be a great fishing, since new people running it (girls), it changed a lot, the boat is dirty, and very laud engine, it feels like to almost fell apart, everything is so outdated, that you thinking it is safe?!! they feed the fish with oatmeals !! lol ... used to be bloody liver to attract more fish to come. I do believe that is fun to go out with a kids, but they should let them know not to run around the boat and scream !! Last time the lady tried to rock the boat so hard from side to side I almost throu up,, it was not funny at all!! she thought the kids would like it, well take them to roll coaster then!! It is hard to catch a bigger fish with the small hook they provide, and if you do, it may need to go back because is no season, that should be said before you buy a ticket that also changed on price .. ;-) I would not go back to this boat fishing for free !! should be modernize the engine and keep limited people to have more space and provide a soda, water for free ... but hey, who never tried it it is always an experience. The view worth a try .. ;-)

Great day out fin fishing keys

I have gone on this boat for 14 years and every time had a great experience. This year was even better than before!! Captain Alice and First Mate Alan made this the most unforgettable trip to date. They are knowledgeable and helpful but most importantly truly dedicate themselves in providing a positive experience. They make you feel like family. Thank you both for all the laughs on this trip (AND FISH!!)

In the morning of Nov 29 this boat clipped our trolling lines and could’ve easily tangled its prop. Personally wouldn’t be my “choice” until the Captain gets their eyes examined.

Get time fishing everyone caught fish very friendly would highly recommend captain did a great job with positioning the boat in the waves so it did rock much my wife always gets sea sick and no chums for her this time

A++++++++++++ We went out for our frist time deep sea fishing on the Atlantic this weekend, it was a AMAZING, the water is gorgoeus. The captain and the mate were so nice, always there when you needed them and didnt mind sharing their knowledge with us first timers, they really want you to catch fish. The boat was super clean, they even wash it and the rods and reels down before the 2nd trip left, with COVID on the rise again I for one appreciate the extra effort. True proffesionals, we will be back during our next visit

A convenient and inexpensive way to go deep-sea fishing, for the whole family. Sailors Choice provides everything you need. Just show up and for about $45 per, youre all set! (Or, you can bring your own equipment.) Two caveats; dont fish in the corners, as its a little tight there, and note which side of the boat will have sun, as you may want to avoid it.

Our fishing experience was fantastic. These guys went out of their way to provide us with the best opportunities to reel them in. We prepared the tastiest ceviche from the catch which was filleted for us by the crew. The nicest, upbeat, helpful crew. We will most definitely return.

I have been on quite a few different boats like this.. The mates and captain on Sailors Choice were the best by far then any other boat I have been on. All very attentive and genuinely appear like they want everyone to have a good time. The captain let both of my kids each bring up a fish that he had on his own line. The crew were also were very patient with my son who doesnt necessarily like to fish.. But LOVES to ask TONS of questions. Thank you.. They had a great time.

Unprofessional, Messy, Ignorant, and BLIND!!! This charter is all about their money and not their customers. They do this “everyday” but the level of complacency shows! If you don’t like your job please find another profession. Maybe Sailors Choice should sick to land fishing instead of endangering boaters at sea through their selfish actions.

Just got back from our fishing adventure with Sailors Choice fishing! My girlfriend and I had a very nice time. The boat was pretty crowded but we managed to catch fish with the supplied rods. Doug and Andrew (our mates) were good. Everyone on board was catching in the 3 of the different locations we tried. Not many keepers (I managed to land 2) but a fun time for sure. Would recommend Sailors Choice if you dont want to shell out too much money to fish the keys. Definitely the best price we could find for a 4 hour fishing excursion. Good Times!! 😊

The captain let my 11 year old son reel in and keep a red grouper. It made his whole summer! The Captain also wasn’t afraid to move and changed locations multiple times when the bite was dead. The mates were really helpful as well. Make sure you bring cash as they work for tips.

Amazing fishing trip. Captain was funny and well knowledge and his mate Kesha (I hope I spelled it right lol) was kicking butt making sure everyone was good and helping get fish on the boat. Even let us stay out about an hour longer just checking out a spot. I wish I would have done more than one trip. Awesome price for an awesome experience!!!!!!

Hardest working group I’ve seen in quite awhile. Personable, friendly, and truly care about making sure everyone has a great time. Went out of their way to make sure that my 7 year old daughter enjoyed herself (she absolutely did) as well as everyone else on board. Literally everyone on board had a blast. Will definitely go again if I’m in the area again.

We had a great time! We caught quite a few fish, but had to throw them back because they were too small. Apart from coming back early due to someone having a medical emergency, it was a good time. The staff was fun, professional and on time; and they handled the medical emergency quickly and efficiently. We will definitely be back!

Loved it. The crew was very helpful and friendly. They took us out to sea and they even fillet the fish for you. It was a really fun time and its not too expensive either. Youre out there for a few hours, so eat beforehand and bring a water bottle. Wear lots of sunscreen and sunglasses. And use the bathroom beforehand because theres only the bathroom on the boat (obviously).

Im from Indiana and was in Florida last week so I took my 6 year old on a half day fishing trip with this crew absolutely love the crew, they were very courteous and friendly, they did their best to put you on fish and take care of your needs. The captain was a really a great person and Josh who was first mate did a wonderful job, they made my 6 year the happiest kid in the world! I will definitely be fishing with them again in a few weeks! I would highly recommend this crew. All wonderful people!!
