Havent ever dealt with Mr. Bugg himself, but the assistant, receptionist?... Very friendly, quick, knowledgeable, and informative on any questions Ive had about my account or payments. I feel confident Ive chosen a good reliable State Farm representative.

We signed up for car insurance with State Farm through Kevin Bugg. His rate was extremely high but we had, at one point, been with State Farm for over 15 years so when we moved to North Carolina we returned to State Farm.Three weeks after we signed up with Kevin Bugg, we found a dramatically cheaper rate with USAA for the same coverage. So we cancelled our State Farm policy and were told twice by Kevin Buggs office that we would be refunded the amount of our premium that we had not used. We had paid for an entire month and had only used two weeks. Kevin Bugg himself told us he would send us a pro-rated check if one did not come from State Farm headquarters within a couple of days when I called him.No check came. When I called Kevin Buggs office I was told that they were keeping my money under a rule called short-rating. Because I cancelled my policy before I kept it for 6 months, they decided to keep $90 of our money just because they could and because a North Carolina policy allows them to. It is flat-out theft.My wife is facing surgery & we needed that money badly especially at Christmas time. But even though Kevin Bugg gave us his word that he would send the money back to us, he hid behind the rule that allows State Farm to keep the money. And while he did not keep the money himself personally, it was he who gave his word that he would pay us only days before he told us we werent getting our money back. Not once did he or anyone in his office ever tell us of this rule called short-rating when we signed up or when we told him we were canceling our policy. To the contrary, they promised a refund. They did not tell us when we signed up that if we left them before six months passed that we would lose all our money nor did they tell us this when we cancelled our policy at first.When I asked Mr. Bugg why he didnt tell us about short rating, he said he just doesnt do that. And despite the fact that he should make good on his word to write us a check and despite the fact that he should have told us about this rule but did not, he still would not give us our money nor will State Farm.I will never again do business with State Farm Insurance. Do not insure with Kevin Bugg. He is not a man of his word.
