I had a bulk of medical equipment to crate and ship out in a short period of time for my job. The team at C&F were incredibly helpful, kind and understanding of the situation. They were very responsive, always responding within the day and willing to accommodate the many changes I requested during the entire process. For all crating and shipping in the future, I would definitely recommend them!

They saved us. The original freight forwarders flaked out on us and we had to pay all of these fees for storage. Craters and Freighters rescued us. Claudette, the administrative lead, was amazing to work with and our pallets arrived safe and sound thanks to their hard work and efforts.

Top quality service! I have pick-up, crating, and shipping jobs done nationally, and I always use Craters and Freighters. The Seattle location was super speedy in communication, handled everything with care, and made the whole process hassle-free! 10/10, would recommend to anyone looking for a crating or shipping service in the area.

My experience with Craters and Freighters Seattle has been a roller coaster, and quite frankly a huge headache. To start off, I contacted them to get a quote for a large package going international. I worked with a man named Chris, got my quote, and started comparing other places. I decided they were the cheapest but still reputable, so they were the ones. I then contacted them again a second time to make sure I had an accurate quote. I gave the dimensions and weight again and specifically said over the phone that “I just want to be sure on the price before I bring the package”….. I figured this would have been a fairly good insinuation that I would be moving forward. Never once did I receive any type of instructions or anything, their email just says “Receiving hours: Monday- Friday 7:30-2:30.” So as anyone would do, I brought in the package in between those times to ship it out. Upon arrival, we were told we were supposed to let them know we were coming… after we had already corresponded multiple times and were never told to schedule a time. Then 4 days after we dropped it off, I FINALLY received the invoice. The VERY NEXT DAY their administrative lead Claudette called saying our card got declined and she was threatening to charge us storage fees. For one, the invoice had just been sent one day before and yeah, our card got declined but so what, it happens. The invoice was still paid that very same day. If they were worried about it sitting there, why on earth wouldn’t they bill us a little faster so we can pay and have it on its merry way. For two, we were given no specific instructions on setting up the process. When Claudette called about the card declining, I expressed my concerns to her about how I think it’s a little ridiculous if we end up getting charged storage fees because if we had it our way, we would have paid the same day we dropped it off so we could get the thing shipped out. I explained to her how confusing it was and how they should probably explain things a little better if they would like it to be a speedy process. I was in shock with how rude she was. Her first response to my concerns was “well Chris isn’t here to defend himself” and then she completely disregarded everything I said. She cut me off and blurted out what she wanted to say and then tried to end the call. I explained that I was only trying to give her some feedback for the next poor customers. She then said, and I quote “Oh, I must have called to early for you.” The ADMINISTRATIVE LEAD said that…. to a customer….. paying almost $2000 to them!!!! I had already been up and took my morning jog by that point so to assume that me being frustrated at the poor customer service I received and assume that me being upset at the threats of extra fees after we had no control over how long they were taking, was because it was “too early for me”, is not only incredibly insulting but completely and utterly unprofessional. Like I told her, I just want them to know that they can’t expect people to be mind readers. They need to make it more clear if they are worried about packages sitting around for a lengthy time (if you can consider 4 days a lengthy time). These issues they are threatening to charge fees for, all could have been avoided with a simple “Here’s your quote for your package. If you want to proceed please schedule a time so we can be prepared to do our job.” Sure this place is cheap, but do not expect any type of good customer service. I highly not recommend.

WOW! I shipped a 1970 Chevelle SS hood from PA to WA State. I cannot believe the quality of the crate once we received it. It is clear that this company has PROFESSIONAL carpenters building the crates. The hood was padded in foam, shrink wrapped, padded some more, and then went into a crate that stood up vertical (including side peices forming a solid stand). The interior of the crate was also padded. The hood could have went through a huricane and dropped of a 6 story building, and still be good to go. Talk to Paul at F&C. He will take excellent care of you. A++++++++

It has been a pleasure to work with Craters and Freighters. After speaking with different packing companies, I chose Seattle Craters and Freighters to ship an important item that was logistically challenging across the country to my home. Not only did they go the extra mile to get me the best possible price, their personal service was beyond expectation. I was blown away with the individual care and attention from their team through all steps of the process.I will certainly trust them again, and not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends

Craters & Freighters (Seattle) did an awesome job. They managed to execute a difficult interstate job which involved huge and heavy freight which was also fragile. Their pick up crew was efficient and capable, and their warehouse built a custom wooden crate palette which ensured the safe delivery of our family heirloom. Thanks, Thomas & Aaron. Ill be using your services again.

Ive used Craters and Freighters probably 3-4 times over the last 4-5 years for shipping from Seattle to Minnesota. Shipping of furniture and boxes from parents downsizing. No matter how oddly shaped the items, they have always arrived in perfectly built crates quickly and efficiently. They even rescued us when we needed to have a piano moved on short notice and couldnt find a mover - they quickly came to the rescue and simply took care of it. They are doing something right - Im pretty sure we had the same crew chief on pickup for each of the moves!

If you’re moving don’t waste your time with these guys. I’ve had several friends use their services and each time the owner ends up apologizing profusely for his companies mistakes. The only good thing was them paying for their mistakes that caused lots of stress throughout the move.
