Stopped in on a whim before my first day of work. The place was clean with a great vibe, Melvin had so much energy and was a fantastic conversationalist. He welcomed me to the neighborhood, and provided great information.Im now a lifelong customer. Not only does Melvin do great work R Barber helps support the community and the kids. They are partnered with Nike and the local hockey team all to provide help and support in the community.We need small businesses like this and Im happy to go in and get a great beard trim and give my money to a company that makes a difference.As Melvin would say,Thats whats up.

I had a confirmed appointment for myself and my two sons with Ru Cortez (the owner) for 10:30am mind you I’m driving 40+ miles to Kent without warning or explanation I got my confirmed appointment canceled by him.I would not have had any communication with him if I didn’t text him when I left my home that we were on our way from Olympia. He text back an hour later saying sorry I gotta cancel. I usually don’t write reviews, but the fact that he took two hours out of my day is unacceptable. I get it people are busy, but if you’re running a business you should be more professional and take the time to reach out just like barbers would like their clients to give them ample time to maneuver around client cancellations. Time is money and that goes both ways.

Rah and Reuben were so nice, and great to chat with. It didnt feel like a chore to wait while my son got his cut.My son got a great haircut that he is happy with, and the owner made sure he was!When my son had a dizzy spell due to not wearing his glasses, he was quickly given space to breathe and a cold water.I really almost never post reviews, but I had to in this case, and we will definitely be back!Thanks so much guys!

I have been wanting a side shave with skin fade for years. After being turned down by several salons, I finally called the barber. Jamin Hernandez did a GREAT job interpreting what I wanted and I have already scheduled another appointment with him. 10 out of 10, would recommend

The shop is Open! Got touched up beautifully by my Boy Melvin. Hes back in town, hit him up tell him Alex sent ya. The vibe is always chill masked up and spotless.

I called early came in an hour early and the guy told me to come in at 11 and they would take care of me but I ended up waiting an hour for a cut and the barbers just ignored me and my kids I just left forget this place worst place to come don’t tell people to come in if you can take care of them be 100 and let them know what’s real! Take your business elsewhere who ever reads this

Scheduled an appointment for 7/3/20 at noon because they’re only taking appointments. I show up and nobody is here or answering the phone. Gave this place a try but won’t go back again.UPDATE, 7/3/20 @ 2pm: The owner called to explain what happened and offer a free service. I appreciate that. He was honest. I would have liked to be notified about changes before the appointment happened instead of afterwards though.

I have never had good luck with hair cuts. However, Im going to give this place my business from here on out for me and my family. I didnt need an elaborate cut, I needed a quick clean up and out the door and I actually got what I requested. Im crazy about it, Jase was super professional and talented! Jase is a life saver. Had a different barber cancel on me. I called jase after finding his shop on google. He answered quickly and got me in and out. Not only did I get a great haircut but I also had a great experience. Exceptional customer service from the whole team down at the shop. Definitely would recommend to all my friends and family.

Worst haircut I have ever received. The barber I got was not very experienced. I explained to him I wanted a half inch off the top and 1/2 fade.He could not blend the fade into the top, longer, portion of my hair. It looks like a mushroom. For $27 its not the quality you would expect. This is a $10 cut at best.Took a risk trying out a new place and now I have to pay extra to have someone else finish the cut.**Thank you for the response. I had another barber fix my haircut that day.

Got my haircut with Jase yesterday and was probably the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. I’ve searched around all of western Washington for a good barber shop and finally found one! Highly recommend going to this shop!

I was waiting for the restaurant next door to seat me and my wife, and noticed the front door of this place was propped open. It was Sunday and we thought they were closed. I popped my head in the door and saw Angel inside and he told me he would cut my hair even though they were closed! The haircut was perfect and he suggested that I get my neckline tapered so that I wouldn’t have to keep lining it up when the hair grows out again. Great conversation and highly knowledgeable on hair products and equipment. I have struggled to find a decent barber over the last few years. I am glad that I stopped by this place, because I now have a new barber that actually knows what he is doing! Great conversation and highly knowledgeable on hair products and equipment.

This is a PROFESSIONAL establishment. Which is hard to come by for a minority owned business. Not only that, but the barbers know how to cut some hair, and actually listen to the customer on how they want their hair. They don’t spend all their time on the phone or talkin crazy!I specifically get my cut from Ruben, and he does an awesome job. Even gave me an appointment prior to official open time.If you’re tired of the same old, non professional, don’t listen to what you want barbers, then you need to come here.

Came In as a walk in looking like a hobo, came out feeling fresh and looking clean as ever. Hands down best cut I’ve ever had. Ruben is very talented and I would recommend this barber shop to anyone. They are very skilled individuals .

I took my son (6 yrs old) to a HAIR MASTERS ( The one by the walgreens) to get a clean basic fade cut. The lady who cut my sons hair made it uneven, she cut him on the ear, one side was shaped different than the other, she butchered his hairline, all kinds of stuff horrible experience for my son! THEN BY THE GRACE I called here and brought him in and they not only fixed his hair but kept my son comfortable and confident with getting it done. After all said and done these guys made it so you would never know the butcher job that master cuts laid on my poor baby. I am also very glad to say it was very age appropriate in terms of bringing a child. (I’ve gone to other high rated shops in the area that cut kids hair but the inviroment was less than appropriate) the conversation was casual and they really did well working with him. I wish I could rate them 10 stars! 🙂 So needless to say, these guys may be new but they are definitely worth coming in.
