Everyone should go here, especially kent state students. Most places I have gone to around the kent area has tried to rip me off because I fit the stereotypical mold of a college kid. Prices are super cheap and their work is excellent. The person you will likely deal with is Dan which is super friendly, honest, and respectful. I would give this business more stars if I could. Don’t hesitate if you need work done.

Great price on quality tires, prompt professional service.

Had a nail hole patched last year and they left a long circular scratch around the outer edge of the rim from the tire machine..they then denied to me that the machine could ever do that and refused to repair it. A few days ago i needed to get 4x tires (19in rims) dismounted to have the rims refinished.. they used a bare metal crow bar directly on the paint to pry the tires off. Left huge gouges in all four rims... i would have exploded on them had i not already been getting them refinished. will never go there again.

I had an unexpected flat during my trip. I called early in the morning and made an appointment. They took a look at my tire couldn’t patch it but got me a new tire. I was ready to keep going on a safe trip with my family. The service was great and the workers are great as well!

My son told me my front tire was “wobbly”. They took me right away and checked it out. He jacked the car up and thoroughly assessed my situation and said all was good. Was just a loose hubcap that gave the illusion of a wobbly tire. He put the hubcap on correctly and did not charge me for his time or expertise. Customer service like this is hard to find. I know when I need new tires where I will go!!

I was born and raised in the area. I moved South 12 years ago, and I come up for a visit every year. It was Saturday, and I was heading back down South when my tire pressure light came on. 😱. It happened at 6:30 am, just before I turned onto route 76..... As fate would have it, Vans was across the street. I looked them up and Dan and his staff got some great reviews, so I waited at a friends until they opened. When I came back, they were just raising up the bay doors, Dan and his serviceman were so helpful and friendly. You that live in the Brimfield area are blessed to have this place. I got tires here before winter. They have excellent customer service! They were knowledgeable. Greet every customer the moment the door opens. Phones were answered promptly. They were quick. They even parked my car right beside the front door for me! I would suggest them.

I have to tell everyone in the portage County area, Vans tire and brake center is absolutely THE BEST AND MOST AFFORDABLE place to go to get your tires and brakes serviced around. I did my due diligence and checked out other places like Ravenna tire and garrison tire and Vans beat their prices by at least 40 bucks. I highly recommend this business to you. Super friendly great prices no ripoffs like most car shops

Other reviews suggest this is a good shop, and hopefully it is. However, I left a message with them after hours when I needed an urgent brake repair while driving through Kent (about 80 miles from home), and they never called me back. They should have at least called the next day to tell me they couldnt fit me in. Fortunately another shop in town called me early the next morning and took care of me.

Not even worth the drive there. And if you are going I’d double and triple check your appointment time. They’ll probably have you for another time from what they said.

I originally thought I had to go to an official Goodyear-owned store to purchase tires but was surprised to hear I could go to an authorized service center close to home. I chose the tires, booked the appointment and paid all online and my appointment was confirmed promptly. Upon arriving at Vans, they got to work and no attempt was made to upsell, etc. They did awesome work, finished it on time, and sent us off with clear instructions for rotations and the rebate. I was amazed at how smooth and easy it went. I didnt spend a TOTAL of more than 5min in the shop from start to finish. I look forward to returning here for more service as needed in the future and supporting a local business. Well done!

Car repairs are always stressful to me, but I always feel well taken care of at Vans. The owner is one if the nicest guys and extremely helpful!!! He goes out of his way to make sure that you and your car have the best care! Highly recommend!!!

Dan is the best around! Hes gotten me a great set of tires along with much more! Also helped me out when I got a new battery and couldnt figure out the security code!

Called ten places in Kent and this was the only shop who didnt waste time trying to sell me stuff I didnt need to upcharge me a ridiculous amount. I like doing business with honest people like these guys.

These guys are great, got me in early on black Friday, and beat everyones price by $30 a tire! I was in and out in about 45 minutes. Ill be back there for tires whenever I need them. Im an extremely satisfied customer.

While traveling on business, I got a flat tire. Vans Tires helped me out first thing in the morning and I was on my way. Very professional and prompt service. I highly recommend them.

I stopped by there on my way to work. My tire light had come on about 10 minutes prior to my getting there. The gentleman who was there was so kind. Pulled me right in even though Id pulled in right behind someone who was coming to get an oil change. He had me all set to go in less than 5 minutes - no charge. Even told me to come back if the light came on again.

I drove my car straight to Vans Tire after I noticed a leak in my tire . My car needed a new tire after i ran over some thing in the road the side wall was damaged. New tire installed and balanced less than 30 min i was back on the road. I live about an hour away from Vans and from now on its the only place i will get tires it wroth the drive to deal with honest fast service. A+++++++++ Thanks Danny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went there this morning at 8 am. Door was locked and no one inside. Waited until 8:15 then left after no one showed up. (Their sign indicates the shop opens at 8). Went to Flynns Tire in Kent and got right in.

I think the reviews are overrated. Worst repair experience I ever had in 20 years . I went there for weird vibration when accelerating thinking it was easy fix like tire rotation. Dan told me it was the axle and control arm and quoted me $475 for parts and 2 hour work. However, 4 hours passed still my cars where not finished. The two hours ended up being 2 days. An easy fix that a good mechanic would do in less than an hour ended up with alot hammering and sawing to take off the axel, like a bad procedure gone wrong. What is worse, when Dan finally called me it was finished, once I started the car up it made a very loud noise! Thought it was time for oil change or maybe because of the cold weather. So i drove for a few minutes and but right away the vibration i brought the car for was still there! Back to the shop. And Dan rides with me for a ride and now he can feel it. After a second diagnostics he thinks it is the U joint of the shaft. Can you fix it ? No. What about the loud noise that suddenly appeared? He denied doing anything that may caused it. I went to dealer who replaced the drive shaft under warranty and qouted 770 for the loud noise which was due to broken front pipe that is right above the axle that Dan replace. The dealer says it was very likely was broken due to the repair especially with the fact that a saw and lots of hammering was involved. Now, paid $475 for a problem i never had and extra $770 for broken exaust pipe of a wrong repair, not to mention the clicking noise i hear now near front axle and the wasted time and worry. In short, never go there for anything other than a flat tire.

Quickly balanced my front tires and Im running great again.
