I have only been coming here a short while, but I love the seriousness in the atmosphere. I switched from a baby gym, the Pacific Clinic, to this and I really enjoy it.
Came in to signed on, nice gym but It would have been nice for staff to atleast show me around, took me awhile to find my way around it.
Great place, and awesome staff! Only reason I didnt give 4 stars is it can get crowded during peak times. Everyone is respectful and nice there!
Great location, great equipment, staff leaves a little to be desired. Unless you are already in excellent shape that is lol
The Kennewick Golds Gym is the Best one . The young man at the counter is always friendly and happy to see you . He even notices when youve been missing days and welcomes you back . As far as the rest of the gym goes . The members are friendly and respectful . Ive been going there almost 8 years now . When I started I was way out of shape and very self conscious but they all made me feel welcome and accepted .I highly recommend this Golds Gym ! Id also like to thank management for the new 65# dumbbells ! I use them 5 days a week 💪😎🙏🏻🍻
Nice commerical gym! Would reccomend for people who need a commerical gym experience. They also are deadlift friendly...they have a padded area in the back
It wasn’t the best gym for the price, the water also tasted like chlorine. Customer service is excellent but over all experience was a 3/5
Excellent space with great equipment. Sometimes cardio equipment needs maintenance, but Ive never had anything but an awesome workout.
First time back! Was a bit busier than I expected but staff cleaning constantly. Definitely feel safe and definitely getting back into my gym routine!
Love being able to go workout really early in the day. Friendly staff.
Ive only used this and the kennewick golds, but I prefer the spaciousness and layout of the equipment at richland. This is a newer building, so it doesnt smell like a gym yet. I like that I dont have to pay extra for the pool, hot tub or racquet ball courts. And the kids club is fantastic if you need those services.
I have a question, can I bring my 11 year old brother?
This place is where its at!! Love it here. The only thing is they make you keep your mask on while working out. Bummer.
I think ita great so far i just sind up but all the workers there are really cool
Great gym!!! Awesome air conditioning
Very helpful on the phone and answered quickly
Have amazing optional work out machine s so much room to work out!
The representative for Golds Gym (SaM) was very friendly.... any question I asked she had an answer for very informative about Golds Gym thank you for having such a great staff member
The gym is great and provides you with everything you need to live a healthy lifestyle. Everybody from casual lifters to bodybuilders can really utilize and enjoy what this gym has to offer. The bone I really have to pick with Golds Gym is their financial policy. This whole contract cancellation fee and other hidden fees is just an unethical business practice when put in comparison to other business models. I also recall having had my payment skipped without my knowledge (my fault). I came in two days later and was informed that I had been late on payment. I then had to pay my monthly dues and an extra $20 for being a little late. Having a late payment fine is totally understandable, but having it be more than half my monthly membership for 2 days is pretty outrageous. Golds gym should update their financial policy so it doesnt blatantly look like a cash grab from its members. Its just distasteful.Luckily, a great Golds Gym employee recommended that I pay ahead of time so this does not happen in the future. This is only one example of great employee service. The gym and its employees are amazing, the company however needs some tuneups.
I wasnt too comfortable in this gym. People are so focused on others, instead of their point of being in the gym, to workout. So many show offs, not enough people who inspire you. I really only went because a friend wanted me to join her gym and workout with her but Id rather stick to Planet fitness. They have different services but it fits my lifestyle much better. They guy who gave me a free week pass was awesome, his customer service skills are on point, also front staff guy treated me well. I would encourage you to stop in and see if its an environment you would be able to perform and stay motivated in. The services they offer are great, I have to admit, just not so much what I really care for. The womans weight room was the best part, privacy is nice. I had a good time visiting, give it a go, doesnt hurt to try and if a friend refers you, they get a month FREE! 💪🏻😁
Great gym, love the classes. The instructors have a lot of energy. I appreciate it when they stay after class to answer my questions. I would really appreciate it if you would some soy based protein bars and powders as I am allergic to whey! Also wish you had more TVs.
Good gym, clean and up to date equipment. Very busy but enough room to accommodate everyone. I did not have to wait to exercise.
Terrible experience. All I wanted to know was if they had a punch card versus paying daily. The front desk girl just looked at me and said “Please have a seat, a sales consultant will be with you shortly.” So I left, didn’t want a sales pitch just a place to train. Found a badass gym called Beneath the Bar, cheaper than this dump and with better equipment.
I really like the staff here, they have always been helpful & respectful to me. They even remembered me after I was gone for quite a long period of time. It feels good when people at a business know who you are personally, it really gives one a sense of importance. The majority of the gym patrons really seem to be there to workout & then be on their way; I really dont like working out in places where the patrons spend the majority of their gym time on their phones or trying to teach the female members how to better workout. The fact that they have two short-backed seat benches in the free weight section is really awesome, many gyms dont have two of those. Also, their smoothie bar has a vegan protein option for all those vegan bodybuilders out there. So righteously awesome! This gym is a friendly & familiar place as well as a conducive one.The only con that I really have is that there isnt a designated fundamental strength area & some of the equipment is in need of replacement.Overall, its a really great place for one to achieve some serious gains.
Staff are mostly aloof and distant unless they are trying to get you to upgrade your membership. They offer a free coaching session with membership which is only a gimmick and they use the time to sell you upgrades. Gym kept very warm so you will sweat. Equipment is mostly run down.
Love the facility and awesome staff!
This is truly a gym that is meant for everyone. There is a private womens work out area, every type of resistance machine, several weight racks, year round pool, steam room, sauna, showers, and juice bar. Theres even a bathing suit drying machine so you never have dripping gym bags.
Nice place. Good sized space. The equipment seems a little dated and its not always kept up in great working order. Also the free weight area is super small, but overall its a nice place with nice people.I wish I could go to the sauna later at night on the weekends.
Love lifting here, but the customer service is absolutely horrible. A guy who worked there tried to tell me my membership was expired in 2016 when I have been going there for three years daily. And wouldn’t let me in. And continued to keep arguing with me. Next day I go to the other golds, they look me up and boom let me right in. Such a joke.
Nice, quiet pool area, and clean locker rooms. Each of the instructors that Ive seen so far are friendly and make classes fun! I love the hours as well!
Chick gave me & a friend of mine 7 day free trial $ 111% 5☆service great lady great place. ◇Dan
Not my favorite gym
I miss Golds Gyms in Palm Springs California ESO Fitness was still a great General work at thank you all good staff
Its a gym. They have all the equipment your little heart desires. My only real complaint is that I cant take my kid swimming if I want to. I get that people might want to swim laps or put on a water aerobics class, but there could easily be a compromise.
Decently sized facility and welcoming staff make this one of the better gyms in the region. Equipment and weights are in good shape and they even have a womens area just for women to workout hassel free!
Great gym. Mostly good customer service. Great variety of equipment. Just found a much better deal membership elsewhere.
Great gym to work out in. I like how clean it is kept. I would give this gym 5 stars if it had more bench press and squat racks.
Ive got a broken back and I needed access to a pool. The wife and I have been members in other gyms across Kennewick, including TCCC and Kia Ora, according to funding we could secure at various times. Our membership is covered by our Medicare gap insurance, but we came in my way of my parents, when they were members. FULL DISCLOSURE: the director of operations and another member of the staff are church mates, but we like to make a point of greeting all the staff weve come to know. Yes, the gym starts membership with trainer promotions, but weve come to expect that as other local gyms do the same. Classes are on the Les Mills program, which Kia Ora and the Basin Racquet Club also use, and which we are familiar with. Because Golds is smaller than TCCC, there are no small classes at a mid-day time convenient to us, but I dont have a problem with that, as I usually choose to do my own routine. The classes arent set at a beginner level (but Ive tried only the water ones), yet that is fairly common to many Les Mills offerings everywhere Ive been, and all the instructors allow participants to adapt to their own pace. The owner is on the premises often, either to quietly supervise or use the facilities himself. (No shade to your co-owner wife, sir; Ill introduce myself, soon.)I am eagerly awaiting the return of a shake plate machine much like the ones I use at Gale Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab. I asked Adam in Member Services about it a year or two ago. Any updated news?
Nice people nice staffs fun to work out and love being apart of the fun
My monthly payment is $27 a month i skip one month they charge me $60 when i gave my new card info and 10 days later they charge me another 27 in one month i was charge almost 90 bucks. been going to golds ever since they opened, after this incident i am reconcidering going again or reccomending ppl to their gym.
Its a ok place from what I said they have a steam room and a sauna room and lockers to put your things in but you have to supply the lock and they have excercise machine that you can exercise on. Its not as big as the gold gym in Richland Washington is.
Kennewick Golds gym has the most toxic environment Ive ever seen at ANY gym. From the front desk workers, to the manager, to the members. People just seem to be frustrated and annoyed at all times. Definitely not the culture people want in a gym. I left very disappointed at the way I was treated at this location. Golds gym has to step it up.
This gym is super close to my home and it’s not the worst gym in tri cities but there’s always something out of service. I get it, with it being a bigger gym there’s a higher chance of things being broken but they take a while to get things up and running. I do suggest maybe placing an incline bench in the women’s room. Other than that the staff is great.
New costumers allwas read your contret. If you no wanna robb.
A lot of machines in a small space makes for a crowded atmosphere. Also the pool area is pretty gross- if you dont mind swimming in a pool that has that ring around the tub grime - they seriously need to give it a good scrub down.
Joined at opening, specifically asking about cancellation fees and was assured there were none if I provided a doctors letter stating a medical reason impaired me from continuing to safely use their facilities. I provided this a couple of months later when my health took a turn for the worse, and was still sent to collections and later told about a hidden early cancellation for people medically cancelling of $100.00.They were actually caught violating the law of gym cancellations within the first 30-days and forced to comply with it.I have met other people who had similar stories with injuries resulting in the need for early membership cancellation. Its a nice facility, but Golds Gym only cares about the bottom line, not the members.
This place is awesome. I go here with my brother everyday and have had zero issues with anybody. They have enough free weights that your not having to share. The machines are working correctly, and the fact of location and pricing pays for everything. It comes down to 1 dollar a day..... Who cant afford that? The only complaint I have are other people there that dont wipe down the equipment after use... Thats just nasty.
I love the water aerobics the best because of my arthritis, it doesnt hurt my back while Im in the pool.
10 yrs member must be doing something I like. the staff are nice.
Clean facility, friendly staff, plenty of equipment, classes are included in membership. I have had a membership for for a couple years now and like Golds much better then another local health club that failed to met its contract with me but yet stole my money and refused to even try to understand the relevant facts of their short comings. My trainer is tops with over ten years of experience she keeps me inspired and on track to a better lifestyle. Worth a free pass if your interested in a gym.
I enjoy this location. It can get pretty busy during peak hours and the gym is relatively small so just check the popular times people visit and plan accordingly.
Great workout facility
Very friendly staff . I mainly use the NLP room and its kept very clean . App is good to help with busy times and lisa is very good help when asking questions.
Before I left on military leave I canceled my account with Golds Gym. In cancelling my membership I was due a refund of $41.16. Upon returning from my obligations with the military, I had never received a refund check and was told I could not receive the balance I was due because Golds Gym had a new accounting/financial service. The staff was friendly however they will not meet your needs when the going gets tough. Im sorry Golds Gym, I will always take my business elsewhere.
I weight 149 for 5 2, l could not understand why l was eating so much. I had to get to the gum quick and this place was the place l was close to . Now l weigh 128 pounds in 2 months .
Great gym. Friendly staff. Clean and not too crowded.
Love coming here the staff is great and friendly and the daycare is amazing with my girls.
Its basically where guys go to stare at girls and other girls go to tell you about how youre doing it wrong even though you never asked. If I could I would give it zero out of five stars. Plus I just saw an ad for them that said this is no shape for a girl with a pear next to it. Way to promote healthy body image golds gym. So sad.
My favorite place to be. Always clean.
Highly recommend. Clean club with outstanding program offerings.
Big spacious clean and very workout friendly place excellent daily price for us from out of towners looking for a fair price, good helpful and friendly employees
I recently experienced a very upsetting phone call with Jose at the Kennewick Washington location. I have been a loyal customer to Gold’s Gym since 2011 and have never had any unpleasant customer service until I spoke with Jose. I had an issue and some questions about my account and wished to speak to a manager. Jose refused to allow me to speak to anyone else besides him and insisted that he could help me. He said he deals with these issues all the time and could adjust accounts so that makes him a manager. I still requested the manager and he began arguing and becoming very rude, getting louder and louder. He would not let me get a word in to try and explain or ask any more questions, and then he hung up on me. That was the most unprofessional and horrible customer service I have ever witnessed. I was not going to cancel so I wouldnt lose out on the annual fee but due to Jose’s behavior I am now cancelling my membership, I will not pay for services to be treated this way. Customer service for any business is # 1....
Love it. Have been a member and have worked for the facility for 4 years. Please dont hesitate to reach out if you have a comment or concern. Customer feedback got us a brand new stairmill in March and a rinse off shower added to the pool this winter!
I love this gym! Adam has gone above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and help me build a membership plan that fits my needs. He and the rest of the staff at the Kennewick gym have made me a Golds customer for life.
Excellent customer serviceAlways an empty station to work out
Clean and quiet
Nice people. $10 Bring ID. Very Clean place. Bring own towel
I like working out there, and I like their pool. The only thing I really cant stand is the noise they call workout music. Also, I find multiple treadmill machines will not work correctly at times.
Went to work out with husband & his personal trainer. Excellent experience, was easy to adjust the difficulty of exercises to our individual fitness levels & goals.
Cheap for a gym with a pool and everything else. I have gone to both Richland, and kennewick locations. Its pretty clean for such a large establishment. And the level 1 workout classes are chill. Basketball courts... Cycle lab.Although I mainly wanted it for the sauna. But, people jam pack (literally like sardines) into the sauna in full, nasty smelling workout gear without showering, or they bring weights in and workout in the sauna...It is absolutely disgusting. Its annoying, cause if I could go sauna somewhere else I would. But it requires...A SAUNA.Sorry for the roast Golds... But Id like to get roasted in the sauna without destroying my sense of smell, or having to sit on the lap of some sweatsuited, sweat puddle of revolting post-workout stench. Its hard to convey how gross and disgusting it truly is in there. I dont like to think about what Im inhaling; I feel like Im being contaminated in a massive human glob of a petri dish. Is this even up to health code?
Staff is very friendly and motivating and there is all the clean equipment you could ever need. The daycare is great with my two kids and they love going.
Really clean .trainers are smart about how hard to push you!!!
The weight loss challenge is a SCAM to promote their trainers! YOU pay $$$$ to provide them advertising. Even if youre a finalist at the ceremony you will be ignored unless you have one of their trainers.
Best gym in the Tri-Cities. They have way more equipment than any other gym Ive seen. Cardio, machines and free weights. Only downside is the front desk staff can be rude at times. Other than that the facility is kept clean and great gym to be in.
The machines are older, but well maintained. The pool is rarely occupied, so its easy to find a lane. They are stingy with their towels though
So if the hot tub is actually working you may want to avoid it. Got some crazy nasty eye infection. Guess this is just normal business for them at the steam room was closed for Legionnaires not to long ago.But it doesnt stop there. For your $30+ a month and annual fee you can enjoy the nasty rude staff at the door. Richland location isnt any cleaner but at least their employees are not as rude.Where is the health department. BTW bleach is needed to clean the mold slime off the drinkin fountains
There was recently an incident with a treadmill doing an unannounced emergency stop while I was walking on it. Because of this I dropped my iPhone X and cracked my screen. I was upset about my phone, but more upset that I could have been running and gotten seriously hurt. It doesn’t help that the Richland and Kennewick locations are notorious for broken treadmills. I spoke with the manager and he apologized and explained there wasn’t anything he could do as far as replacing my phone, but he did waive my membership fee and child care expense for 6 months, which I am grateful for. He also explained what had happened to the treadmill after it had been fixed. I’ve been a regular member since 2010 and it was nice to feel like they cared about keeping me as customer. Thank you Golds!
So disappointed at golds gym new policy. i forgot my gym pass and my ID at home and i try for them to look me up in the system and they tell me they CANT? that they need my ID, really? Even when you have a pic of me in the system? how come you dont need my ID when you take the monthly payment out of my acount? just to make sure you are taking the money out of the right person? and to top it off and the worst part was. i took my daughter to their day care, it was only my daughter and another kid. my daughter started crying because she didnt wanted to stay but i thought she would cry for 2 ins and forget about it, 2 mins later i go check if she still crying and i find this two people who are suppose to be watching them and giving them attention in the computer, not caring that my daughter was crying, not even trying to play with her to at least distract her from crying? super disappointed. i went around 1pm by the way if that helps to anyone reading this review
Love my gym! The class instructors are the best around!
Always packed. Member reps are rude.
Requested a cancelation months ago via email found out they are still charging me even though I havent been there in six months communicated with them and found out papers needed to be signed so we went in and they told us that they would WAVE the 30 day notice even though they had notice 6 months ago. I asked if since we thought it was canceled if we could get those months refunded since we never ONCE even went into the building to use this stupid membership they told us there was no way they could even do that and that we are lucky to have the 30 day notice waved. Really are you kidding me? What harm would it have caused you to refund us a few months? The manager there is incredibly rude and is clearly out to sneak money from peoples accounts even after they request a cancelation. I will never join a golds gym anywhere after this.
Excellent location, friendly staff, pool pool pool, not much parking for semi trucks but you can park in the back.
Good, clean gym. Always trying to supply new equipment.
What is with the incredibly innaproprate music here that changes half way through most songs. I dont find homeboys playlist most likely named 420 and hittin it very motivating!
Pool sauna hot tub steam room cardio machines free weights and machines plus a juice bar and free wi-fi its awesome!!!
Its the closest golds to my house. Its a little dirty as far as golds gym goes. But the staff are friendly and for the most part stay out of your way. Havent had any trouble yet but I have heard rumors of a disease in the pool. I dont use it.
Spent 30 minutes on the court breaking up 3 fights spend 30 listening to people complain about how we are picking teams then 10 minutes of one kid complaining, couldn’t be a worse place for basketball
My favorite gym ever 🤩😎💪
Husband went to sign up for a 3 month contract.... thats what he asked for ( there was a promo at that time).... the guy behind the desk filled out the contract for a year!!!! And had my husband sign... when husband thought contract was up.... found out what had been done and we were stuck with cancellation/monthly fees or we had to have someone else take over our contract! Not happy with the service provided.... will not be a client of theirs.
I loved the gym but I was told that month to month purches was a option. I got three month in advance after such I went to my home state where golds gym does not exist... On the 4th month I have been double changed and now they want to charge me again to cancel do to the fact that it was not a year contract. I Was vary clear that I only wanted 3 months. Needless to say I change my card numbers and open a distube not to pay.
Great place to get a work out.
Large gym. There is plenty of things to work out on.
Ive been a member of gyms all my adult life and in many different locations. Kennewick Golds gym is one of the worst, and just keeps getting worse. From the lack of personalities at the front desk, to the poorly maintained equipment, and lack of order being maintained in the gym. It use to be that the people that worked the check in counter was very nice and friendly women, now they just have a bunch of guys that have no personalities and show no interest. Also they have a horrible problem with people that set up more than one, two, three and more pieces of equipment at a time and think they have a right to it. This problem has been brought to management several times and nothing is ever done. Dont expect any help from the people that work there, because there too busy on the computer, cell phones or just chatting with each other. Also when you left they use to say have a good day etc..now your lucky if they even acknowledge that you exist. I can go on and on, and the only reason im a member there is cause its convenient to where I live.
My family does go, and have no complaints.I am writing because of the negative comments over cancellation fees. When a person sign a contract they initial besides each set of rules. When one does this it makes it legal.
I visited this gym while I was in town and if I lived in the area I would defiantly be a member. The set up was good for all goals. Lots of cardio, free weights and machines. Atmosphere was full of energy. New modern décor. Friendly staff. I am a powerlifter so my only complaints were: only one squat rack, and terrible bar choices.
Place
Way too busy unless I want to go super early, which I do not! People here are way to judgmental also. Not the positive environment I was hoping for.
Love this gym and all of the equipment!
