A few weeks ago Bobs Automotive and Towing saved my life! They were able to diagnose and order parts within hours of dropping off the vehicle on my way from SLC to Seattle. After finding several more issues including a busted rear diff, axels, seals, and tires they were able to take care of me for the same initial quote of just the clutch/fly-wheel! They called me throughout the process updating me and even came into the shop on a Sunday to get me the car back. Cannot recommend these guys enough. One of the main mechanics was very well versed in Subarus which proved essential.

Ive been going to Bobs Auto for years and they always do an amazing job for me. They figure out the problem quickly and are really communicative on options to fix it and the cost involved. Theyre also really great at fitting me in on short notice. I highly recommend them!

Iv been doing business with Bob for almost 7 years now and he is a great guy. Very good with my vehicles knows what hes doing and always has eager and friendly staff. Hes helped me out many times when I was in a pinch and has never tried to sell me anything I didnt need.

Ive used Bobs shop twice, a few years apart and boy did those years make a difference! After this last experience, Ive gone to recommending them to everyone to crossing over to the side of reviews WARNING TO RUN, NOT WALK, AWAY!First, I asked Bob for a payment plan, as I had another car needing a huge repair. Bob agreed to half up front then half in 30 days. The shop was very busy though so I would need to wait to get my car in. No problem.In the meantime I find out my other car cant be fixed cost effectively, so I let Bob know approximately how much I have for: new tires, brakes, rotors, and what I thought was a new coil, as that is what had needed replaced before and what they had told me to expect to replace soon (different #).They postpone my car again because Bob needs surgery, so I get my tires on-line after looking at Consumer Reports recommendation and they have Bobs listed as an approved installer.Finally, after they have my car for 2 weeks (I was told to expect 2 days), and being told it isnt my coil and they have run a bunch of tests I didnt approve, added parts I didnt approve, that I had a bad cylinder and needed a new engine, but he had someone who would give my $1000 for my car but only that much because the seats were tore up! Also, its too bad they did all that work just to find out the engine is bad.Oh- the back calipers needed replaced too. So, I have a car with new tires, brakes, rotors, calipers and a battery but a bad engine because the mechanic saved the engine, which I did mention, for last.I go to pick up my car after 2 weeks and having to spend money on rentals, and taxis, etc. and suddenly Bob doesnt remember the deal of half up front, half in 30 days. I beg him to at least let me pay half then and take my daughter to her doctor appointment it took 6 months to get into. Nope. All or nothing. Now, he knows from past experience that Im a person of my word, because I had to do a payment plan last time. Somehow, because he had been getting screwed over by OTHER people recently, he finds it okay to start questioning my moral character!During this 2 weeks, Bob was on any assortment of pain meds etc. and doesnt remember any of our conversations or agreements (thank God for texting) and then wants to know what happened to the money I said I had for all these repairs... which his bill, SURPRISE, is almost exactly equal to. I had to remind him several times that amount was before the tires and before I had to find alternate transportation for the 2 weeks, not 2 days he had my vehicle. He also sent me a text of the invoice and literally right below it was a message from him saying that some of the posts on the invoice were not actually in my car. However, when I went to get my car, he still expected me to pay for those parts and the labor for putting them in!The best part? Whoever he was showing my car off to, trying to sell it...I STILL would have owed Bobs Automotive money but that guy would have been able to just drive off with my car!In the end, I had to go get a loan to pay for all the repairs because despite me having the messages, there was nothing I could do. I had to cancel my daughters appointment and reschedule for another 4 months out. I do plan on taking this to civil court for the hundreds of dollars in unapproved tests, labor, parts, and especially the parts he charged me for and then told me werent even installed after all!I guess the cherry on top is when he attempted to strong arm me and while Im at the bank he send me a message to bring cash.😂 Ummm, no. Im leaving a paper trail like no other! He wants to cook his books, thats on him but I have the invoice and the receipt and my card statement, thank you.Now for a new, HONEST mechanic!

Bob showed up 20 minutes after I called him. His rates were wonderful, and he did a quick job of getting my truck on his rig, and to the shop to get worked on. He was friendly and gave me a ride to the shop as well. (Where my wife got me) He even shared a bit of his testimony with me. God bless him. Great service!

I seriously cannot say enough good about this place or about Bob! He was awesome and exactly everything to love in a mechanic. I was in town visiting my parents and my car was having trouble with the engine. Bob worked on it Saturday past when he is normally open to get my car running well so I could get home to Pullman Sunday. Impressed with his quality, work, and knowledge. He is priced very fair/competitive and I was impressed with how much he explained and showed me. If I was local I would defiantly use him as my mechanic! Great honest family company! To start this review, I just wanted to say that Corey is super awesome! If you have an import or domestic vehicle (stock or modded) that is having issues, he is the guy to see for a quick turn-around diagnostic. I had my 1996 Nissan 240SX serviced here twice. I bought it used and it was a project car for the previous owner. The first time I needed it brought in, Bob went out of his way and swung by my place around 8PM (2 hours after they closed) to make sure my car made it to the shop so that they could work on it first thing in the morning. 24 hours later I was contacted with a solution and that the car would be ready by the time I returned to town (was out visiting Seattle). Corey was able to quickly diagnose the issue and found it wasnt the starter but the ignition switch. He saved me $160 on a starter! The second time my car failed, it would not start even though it cranked. Bobs tow truck was booked out so I had RAD towing assist me bringing it to the shop. Explained to Bob that I no longer lived in the Tri-Cities and that I came back to bring the car with me to Seattle. I booked a hotel and returned in the morning to find the car up and running! I cannot say enough good things about this business, its owner and their lead mechanic Corey.

I second the previous comment by Brandy. He helped my girlfriend in a similar way on her car, and then gave me a second opinion on some damage on my front end control arm and alignment, and CORRECTED what another technician at a national chain told me, found other safety issues, and did the work for HALF the cost I was quoted elsewhere. He will go to any length to find parts that work for you! And rather than just handing you a piece of paper with a number on it, like his competitors do, he explains all the work, all the functions, all the options, and lets (me) the customer choose! The way automotive should be done! He also recognizes that different repairs have relative value and does not coerce you to do all the work at once. His first concern is safety. His second concern is life of the vehicle. His third concern is will it run well. And his fourth concern is tightening up loose ends. (My take on it, of course). He seems to recognize that not everyones budget can handle all repairs at once, which I really appreciate. Good man. Honest man. Thankful for a place like this.

Took a car in to get looked at before buying it. Car was brought in first thing in the morning and didnt hear from them. Had to call them in late afternoon and was told there was no one I could talk to and they would call back. Still didnt get a call back, had to call again after a couple hours. Got the information I needed about the car, but had questions for the actual mechanic that looked at it. He wasnt in and they told me that he would call me soon. You guessed it, never heard from him.

Very friendly, family oriented business. Our van broke down and they stayed until 11pm ensuring we made it back home for Christmas. Bob himself is a little unorthodox, but effective in conducting business

Money gouging at its finest! After coming into shop got a quote for 260$ said easy fix only take 2hrs at the most. 4 hrs later and a bill of 544$ was bullshit, dont waste ur money ppl

Bobs, Service is outstanding,I had an electrical interment problem, I paid another shop down the street over 500.00 dollars to trouble shoot and repair. They misdiagnosed, and of course threw the most expensive part at my car,Still had problem, He spent a week diagnosing and found the problem,It ended up being a wiring harness contact issue all along.He corrected the problem havent had a problem since.His rates are very reasonable . I wouldnt trust my car to anyone else,
