I was new to lapidary and I went to Prospector’s Pouch for some equipment and some much needed advice on how to create beautiful opals from the rough. And I had A LOT of questions…I met CR and Ilene, and they were more than happy to answer ALL my questions. They spent so much time with me; I’m talking hours over several visits. Unbelievable right? Not from CR and Ilene, I could tell they wanted me to succeed and they showed me that with the time they spent with me. You don’t see that very much anymore. I have to say that I have been to several jewelry stores in my life but I have never received the excellent service that I received at Prospector’s Pouch. Ilene and several other people that work there were genuinely concerned that I was happy with my purchase. They do fantastic work and stand behind their work! I love them all and I love my ring. They did custom work with a new setting and my grandmother’s diamond. It’s beautiful! I can’t wait until I want a new piece of jewelry, I know where I will be going! I have a wish list!

A first time visitor here. I was very surprised to find them wearing masks and sanitizing door handles, counters and credit card machines. A wonderful selection of healing stones and crystals!

They tried to sale me a cracked diamond engagement ring for $5,000. The liar did not know that I knew diamonds dont crack. Then she complained about her business problems as if I cared. Everyone that has bought from them should have the jewelry appraised. Believe me you bought glass probably and the gold is coated not solid gold.We then went to Jareds. My diamond ring is perfect. It appraised for more than paid.Prospectors Pouch is not worth the car gas you bought to drive there in my opinion. It is a small business I really believe needs to just close. Quit stealing from residents.

Thank you so much to prospectors pouch. If u need a jeweler they r the one to use. I recently noticed that the stone in my ring was loose and took it back to them. They tightened the setting and it was better. About a week later I noticed it was loose again and took it back. They had to send it out and I just got it back. It is much better. Unfortunately Ilene Smith one of the owners noticed that my stone seemed to be fading in color and put in a new stone. I have used this company for years and would not go anywhere else. Their customer service is above and beyond. I promise u will not leave unsatisfied.

There are so many reasons this beautiful store has been in business as long as they have. Quality products and service. Transparency in pricing. Unique items. Expert gemologists on site. My husband and I have bought several pieces from them. My engagement ring was a custom design and I love it!! I inherited some jewelry that they are re-designing into something more my style. If you dream it--they can help make it happen. Prospectors Pouch also has cool fossils and items for rock hounds. Something any kid (young or old) would be interested in. The experience is so much more personal than at a large chain. I cant imagine buying jewelry anywhere else. If I could give more stars; I would. This treasure is worth the drive.

Rude owner threatening people in parking lot - shop elsewhere “!!!!

About 35 years ago my husband had my engagement ring designed and made here. He passed away last year so I took that ring and our wedding rings back to be made into one ring. Eileen, one of the owners of this family run business has kept me informed of the progress and actually sent pictures of the mold and the finished product so I could see it. I am moving back south as that’s where I’m from. My husband and I had retired in Wisconsin where he was from. She has kept the ring in her safe for about eight months until I could move back. I am picking up the ring next week and I am so excited. It means so much to me. This business takes a special interest in its customers and I would recommend it to anyone.I picked up my ring and it is beautiful. It means so much to me. Eileen was so nice to me in my times of grief. When I left to head out on the road in our camper she said, “ Now you be careful. Don’t be looking at that ring when you are driving.”. Eileen, I was tempted to keep looking down at it but I kept remembering what you said and I kept my eyes on the road. Thank you for everything. I truly love my ring and when I pass my niece will get it so that it stays in the family... (along with the story of how the ring got its start)

Couldnt ask for better customer service. Ilene and the rest of the ladies working here are very welcoming and knowledgeable. Just started another custom project with these guys and cant wait to see the final result. Have to finish with admitting to not have a strong grasp on the language of custom jewelry, but I personally trust the prospectors pouch and their integrity in regards to their work.

Beautiful specimens on display and for sale. They have the kindest and very knowledgeable staff. I get rough stones for tumbling there often. Weve also bought some beautiful jewelry there as well.

I have had the pleasure of working with C.R.Smith, Ilene and Debbie for decades. They helped to design a cutting and setting from my daughters sapphire she found in North Carolina. She was 12; now she has four sons.These knowledgeable and patient people have such a variety! My husband has bought a fossil, I have bought necklaces, charms and earrings from them! The artisans work have gorgeous displays! If your taste runs to natural or native art, they have it. If you prefer sophisticated pieces, they have wonderful and unique rings, necklaces and any other jewelry you can imagine. Ill bet they can match anything you can imagine.They also carry polished types of mined rocks and can provide any related information!

Loved the store & enjoyed meeting their Gemologist C.R. Smith. He went above and beyond explaining what my garnets were & was such a wealth of knowledge. Great fellow & Im sure glad to have found this place

Its unlike any other gem or stone store I have been in. Its absolutely fascinating combination of beautiful jewelry and rough uncut stones. If you are an amateur collector it is a hidden gem all in itself.

I received awful treatment while trying to shop at this store. They denied that they had the merchandise I was looking for then when I found the merchandise they price shuffled so not to sell to me. They would not weigh or measure gemstones in my presence nor allow me to hold any gemstones so that I may examine it. I truly felt like I was being treated with extreme bias.

When Im looking for something unique for a special occasion for my soul mate, I often find myself at Prospectors Pouch. The people are helpful and friendly, and the pieces we have purchased are lovely.

Prospectors Pouch called me on 5-9. I declined to return the call. No point. I still have the write up ticket and there is NO price listed.
