Spent 4 days at the Diamond M resort. The staff were wonderful and the resort was very nice. RV spots were clean with nice fire pits. The animals were fun to watch. It is centrally located so shopping and sight seeing was easy. A little highway noise but not bad. Will definitely stay again if on the peninsula.
Our family love this place! The staff is warm and genuine, and Jessica is fantastic with the animals and making sure you get to experience them. They truly want you to enjoy your visit. From the large open spots to the more secluded areas for camping you cant go wrong. The views and places to wander and explore are so fun, a great spot for making memories. Will definitely be back!
This place is incredible! Hands down my favorite campground in Alaska. The family who owns it are so sweet and friendly. Their son rides a unicycle which our daughter has always wanted to try. He brought over his 1st tricycle to show her and gave it to her. She was so thrilled. Very kind. They have a full farm that they tour with llamas, goats, pigs, horses, cows, chickens, and turkeys. They host activities for kids, have rental bikes and other fun toys, a basketball hoop, playground, hayrides, awesome trails and views.....you name it.And.....spots are roomy!!!!! Amazing fire
Hidden fees.. I was paying hundreds into a few thousand for just 3 weeks stay.. Nope.. Water is bad. Internet wasnt available at all in our spot and 1/2 the park. Cost for extra vehicles and people..even for our visitors.. Go someplace else.
Good camping spot ... I wish bathrooms were a little clear since they are large and war
Great ranch with lots of space and hookups. Love the animals for the kids to see and the fire pits.Couple of things we werent to keen on first to much road traffic noise and second staff should know whats going on around the area to suggest to campers what to do or where to go.
One of the best in Alaska. A RV park that has a lot for the whole family. Very clean, very large spaces. Very friendly staff, thats there to assist with anything. Grand daughter lost her phone, thanks to the staff it was found. Cant wait for our next camping adventure at the Diamond M. The guided farm hike was the best!
Lots of amenities, great time
Great people, beautiful grounds!!
Great place to go to during the summer went there twice great staff and a fun area to go fishing and watching the barn animals
Love this place and management. This is our 2nd visit and they were pretty full due to dip netters. She went out of her way to make up a spot and find electric since my dad has a CPap. I love all the trees here and animals. They have goats, horses, and other critters running around.
Perfect area for tents or RVs. Clean facilities and full hook up sites. Dump station as well as fish processing spots in site. Money very well spent. Staff were so polite and friendly. About 10 minutes from dipnetting spots. Will definately come back next season.
This place is awesome. By far the best customer service in Alaska. They really helped us out when in a bind and on top of all that the RV park and location is amazing. I highly recommend staying here!
What a wonderful place to stay. Close to services & plenty to do onsite. Staff members are very friendly & helpful.
Great salt of the earth people. Very welcoming and would give you the shirt off there backs if you you needed it. Eagle nests everywhere. And farm animals in the meadows. Plenty of parking, water, electrical, sewage disposal, as well as plumed in,showers, toilets, and washing machines. Walking distance from kenai river, were the worlds biggest king SALMON was caught on line and real 96 pounds and 6 ounces. I may be off by an ounce or two. You cant go wrong staying here. You will love it and not want to leave. Too bad summer is so short. So dont hesitate plan you trip today. For you will not regret it. GOD BLESS ALL
We unexpectedly stayed at the Diamond M in the Foremans Cabin when the Sterling Highway closed and prevented our return to Anchorage. First of all, this place represents the spirit of Alaska both from a historical perspective and from the heart. When everyone on the Kenai was booked full they graciously offered a discount to those in need and looked out for their neighbors from tourists to us city slickers from Anchorage. This property is impeccably maintained and so are the lodgings! The view from the Foremans Cabin is amazing and it was the perfect place to relax after an unexpectedly long day. Gracious hosts, beautiful property, fantastic base for all of your Kenai adventures. 10/10
Choose the gray cabin. Better yet, book both levels, just to make sure you have the entire building to yourself. What a wonderful weekend it was. A full panoramic from the Wrap-around porch overlooking the Alaskan river, wildlife and natural grasses. It was hard to leave it all behind
My husband and I have been here for almost two months! The staff here goes out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. We stayed in three different sites in our two months. One site we were at, was at the end somewhat closer to the animals, another time in the middle and then on the opposite end. We just couldnt make up our minds and the owners were very accommodating! The bathrooms are very clean and kept cleaned throughout the day! Bathrooms being clean is a must for me and I was quite pleased that these were. Also, with as many campers as there were in the middle of July, I worried Id not have hot water. That was not the case, as there was plenty of hot water. While the curtains on the windows were adequate in the bathrooms, I would have preferred thicker curtains as you could see through them at night. The grounds are well groomed and kept very clean! They clean every campsite needed or not when someone leaves! I witnessed this many times!I read reviews from several different sites and one review complained about smells. In the two months we were here, I NEVER smelled the animals. We even walked beside their pen several times and never smelled any thing, as one person wrote. Seriously, the review I read about the smell, had me worried that Id smell animals. However, that was never the case in the two months we were here. Besides, there are only a few animals in the pasture. We were here all of June when it rained almost everyday- probably 20 out of 30 days! We never had any issues with mud and holes in the roads, as it has a lot of gravel and the park and roads are well maintained! All in all, we had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning here again next year! Debby and John
Friendly people, super clean showers and bathrooms, they gave us a spot in their overflow when we were in a jam before our reservation with them and were super helpful for our entire stay. Highly recommend!!!
Beautiful and very family oriented. Cant wait to come back. Thank you Martin family and crew for making our stay so enjoyable
My fiance and I chose Diamond M Ranch Resort for our wedding and reception venue, and so far its been awesome! The staff has been very helpful and informative, and the property is very spacious and beautiful. Plus, they offer one of the best deals for venue rentals in town!
I grew up here, and with the help of my parents we started Diamond M Ranch Resort on the corner of their farm in 1997. My parents taught us to love people and the love of Alaska. Sharing our slice of paradise with others is such a thrill!!
Good rv park. Amenities are good. Nice new fish cleaning stations
Great tour, loved the people here and had a great time. Take the tour! :D
Stayed one night as part of an Alaskan RV adventure in the summer of 2015. Great family atmosphere at the park and very friendly staff. We even got to spend time with the Mama Llama and Baby Llama. The entire Martin from Grandad, who hung out with us at the campfire, to the owners and their kids with very helpful during our stay, including a firewood delivery by unicycle. On our next trip to the Kenai, we will return without question.
Nice place. The viewing deck looks over the flats. We saw the caribou herd. Close to the road, so you hear the highway noise. I thought it was a little expensive. Overall A nice place though
I cant figure out what the 2 previous reviews had happen.I have been staying at Double M for the last 5 yrs during July. Could not find better owner/operators who do all they can to make your stay fun.Only place I will go in that area.
Love this place, we could easily stay the summer. Oscar was the best ever !!! Love seeing the ranch, walking to the river, picking raspberries, doing laundry, making a fire, watching the caribou. Great time !!!
The people here are very loving and helpful for whatever I need I really recommend them because they have full hookups and big sites and the view is incredible
What a wonderful, wonderful place! Owners are the best hosts (family owned of course!) and continually outdid themselves during our stay. From piglet races to a newborn llama, to a bonfire with goodies, a tour of the farm and guided hike to the Kenai River, a superb video showing of excursions around Alaska by the talented Josiah Martin all made for a most delightful stay at Diamond M Ranch. Not to forget the outstanding King Crab dinner especially put on for our group. You are definitely missing something by not staying here and they have all sorts of accommodations, not just an RV park. A 10+ for this one!!
The best place in Alaska for lodging and RVing.
I spent an entire Summer season camped out here whilst doing a marine contract out of the Kenai River. By paying for the entire time up front, I saved a bunch. The grounds were very clean and secure. Free high speed WiFi is included. Theres well maintained restrooms and showers for guests, and an onsite laundromat. I really enjoyed my time and highly recommend this place.
Great experience! Friendly people... can’t end up in a better place, just go there!!! I hope to go there again in the future! :)
My husband had some work to do in the Kenai area so we decided to make a family weekend out of it. We are so happy we tried the Diamond M Ranch Resort. Our room was plenty spacious for the four of us and very clean. The suite had a neat historical theme we got to enjoy over the weekend as well as awesome views from the deck. The owners and operators of the resort were friendly and extremely helpful with all our questions. We got to enjoy a great little hike on Sunday to the Kenai River right from the resort and the kids loved seeing all the farm animals that live adjacent to the property. We highly recommend the Diamond M Ranch Resort, be it a work trip or a family vacation.
Great place. Perfect view from the upstairs verander.
When my husband and I came to Alaska in 2003 it was our very first time here. My husband and I worked and saved for 30 years so that when we retired we could travel and go to Alaska. We bought our 5th wheel in 2002 when John retired and decided since it was our first time RVing we should take another trip first. So we went in the opposite direction and traveled all the way to Maine and up into New Brunswick, Canada. We saw a lot of beautiful country and stayed in many RV parks. But there were none to even come close to the Diamond M Ranch. It isnt just an RV park/resort. It is owned and operated by a very hard working and loving family. They all worked hard day and night to keep things up and make sure all of the travelers staying there got to experience the real Alaska. We came back every year until 2009 when we bought a place and are now calling Alaska our home too. Please believe when I say you will never regret your stay at the Diamond M Ranch. You will make memories that to share that you will never forget.
Great place for family relax
There is no way to describe how awful we felt when we camped at this place. There were 4 or 5 campers, and all were feeling the same way. Obnoxious, unfriendly and disgusting people who only think of one thing, which is to take your money and not offer anything in return. Well, we paid $54 to set a tent (yes $54 for a tent with no electricity, nothing.) We paid for 2 nights, and everyone who camped there was unhappy and felt that they were screwed. We could have camped for $12, $14 or $20 a night, and very likey had a better experience. We just wasted our money, and the aggravation of dealing with obnoxious, mean spirited owners and employees. For $54, you are insulted, asked to leave by 12:00 or be charged $10 an hour, and on and on...We live in Anchorage, and in Alaska, you can practically camp anywhere for free. Well, we could have camped somewhere free, or just pay tops $20 without any aggravation.DO NOT GO THERE. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR MONEY.
Last year was our first visit to the Kenai peninsula. We spent the summer at the Diamond M Ranch Resort. It was a great find. Its an active ranch run by a good Christian family. Three generations of the Martin family actively participate in the RV resort. You couldnt ask for a better environment. This Resort is sheltered fromr the city life, and yet there is all of the services youll need within 10 miles. Its a great place to establish a beach head to travel to other locations like Homer or Seward to site see and watch for wild life. There is more fishing in the backyard then you could ever dream of. There are resident eagles you can watch daily as they raise their young as well as moose and caribou that occasionally pass through camp. We enjoyed so much, well be back again this year to make more memories and create stories to share.
Great people here! Loving, kind, generous, compassionate.
It was ok.thing about my review is this. It was a bit overpriced for four people two tents. Bathhouse was on other side of where we camped. Noise of highway made it,hard to sleep . my boyfriend and I,have been, traveling all over the states since may and ive stayed at better campsites .What was nice was that the bathhouses were one per person. But again it was the pricing of it.
A marvelous motor home park. They were so accomodating for our group. We made a great choice to stay here with the traveler designed laundry, bathrooms, and office staff that let us know about hiking trails that took us down to the river for fishing all by ourselves. The view from the historical buildings 2nd story deck is wonderful of the river & wetlands. We very safely deck viewed moose & a bear at a distance. I believe this is a family business. The office staff is very polite, happy, welcoming, & you can immediately see they see you as the most important part of their day. Very well run & close enough to town to be really convenient for a quick town trip ! We will go back EVERY TRIP.
Great place to stay. Awesome view! The people are great here!
Great, friendly employees and a great place to camp! We got a tour of the animal area from the owner!
Phenomenal park and family run! 10/10
Great acommadations. Great people. I stayed in the igloo before I moved up here.
Great camping or RV full hookup location for dip netting/fishing in the Kenai. Big group campsites and also smaller sites in trees for those that want to be away from the crowd. Overflow area is dry and in the ranchs working pasture with horses, lamas and other critters. Amenities are fantastic, laundry, shower and the best fish cleaning stations in the Kenai. Family run staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We go back every year!
We live here year round. As an owners, we take pride in rolling out the red carpet for everyone who enters our gate. We want you to experience our slice of paradise and Alaska at its Best! Please note, July 10-31 is the peak of the peak for fishing and in addition to all our regular guests we get flooded with guests from Anchorage and the surrounding Alaskan communities. During this time only we open the pasture to overflow, dry parking. Most are thankful for a grassy place to park with hot showers and fish cleaning stations, but some who dont understand this short window may not experience the love shown in the other 11.5 months of the year! We are here to serve you and help make your trip an experience of a lifetime.
We had an amazing time at the Diamond M Ranch! Cant wait to go back next year!
Great park, will stay again next year. Friendly staff, very clean restrooms.
The rv grass squares that u parked around were awesome. Not alot of rv parks have grass that u park by. With full hookups and they even allowed our friend to tent camp behind my rv. Plus the staff were very friendly.
Great friendly people to deal with. Awesome Host
Exhorbant costSave your money...want to say to all people coming to Ak. that get drawn here to this place....Hidden cost, contracts are changed, information untrue. This place was an inheritance and now in hands of grandchildren they did what grandparents did not want...make money off people . I knew the original owners. Too bad.Diamond M= be fair. It cost a lot to come to Ak. to see our state. You do not need to charge so much. Start a new reputation as a gift.Thankyou for sharing. That is what is lacking. Be a part of a better world. Help the poor. They are thrown around. Help the wealthy. They are used. Change, help share Ak. You charge to much. By your actions you can help the children. Free. You were given, now give more freely. Why havent you, btw, open up something, somewhere for the underprivileged singled, disabled Alaskans that are homeless? Tiny homes. Help the year around senior disabled citizens that built Alaska before you were even here. Theres a reputation to be proud of.
I stayed in the igloo which was a fun option but unfortunately smelled horribly of marijuana and the electricity kept going out. The bathroom and showers were clean with lots of hot water. The Wi-Fi was fast enough to stream Netflix. The staff was super friendly and I will definitely come back again!
They have beautiful animals and friendly folks
Very nice place. Wed return if we were in the area.
The Busiest time of year is exactly like it sounds too busy
Beautiful animals wonderful peoplegreat vibes
Very nice and neat RV place. We liked it very much to stay there. The central location is excellent for travels to the Kenai peninsulas tourist destinations, such as Whittjer, Seward and Homer. We arrived early for the season, so some amenities werent quite ready, but the owner and his crew worked very hard to fix this issues. I can recommend this place to anybody and if I ever come back to this area I would try to stay there again. The only negative point is the very slow WiFi, when lots of customers are using it (streaming). If you need speed, go to the Tourist Information Office in Soldotna.
Terrific staff with very good level rv spots.
The Martins are a wonderful family and run a top notch full service RV facility. Being in roughly the center of the Kenai Peninsula was perfect for day trips to Whittier, Seward and Homer. We stayed a month and will be back for a week or two in late August.Located almost on the mouth of the Kenai River and close to fishing in The Russian, Kasilof and Anchor Rivers it was perfect for us to fish daily if we desired. Ask Ronna to set you up with a Halibut trip out of Ninilchik. We caught some great eaters up to 60ish pounds. Quick ride out to the fishing grounds (1/2 hour), compared to Homer or Valdez (2 hours). Youre not catching barndoors, but we filled the freezer. What a grin. All in all, this is the best place on The Kenai for your big rig.
Great place to rest and enjoy the scenery.
Great place to relax, close to fishing, shopping, food.
We searched for a number of lodging options for our stay on the Kenai Peninsula since it is often difficult to find nice places for a family. The Diamond M Ranch was the perfect place, beginning with the phone call for booking through the entire stay and ending with hugs when we left. The Wendler Tower was suggested and the right choice for our family of four. It has a kitchen, bath, bedroom with a gas bbq and freezer out on the deck overlooking the Kenai River flats. The freezer came in handy as we caught a lot of fish, as did the bbq to cook the fish. The staff also was very helpful in setting up two fishing charters...one for halibut the other for king salmon. Ronna also took a group of us up to the Russian River falls for a great hike where we saw sockeye salmon jumping up river to spawn. One night the owners hosted a campfire with Alaskan smores and another time we were introduced to the livestock, including newborn colt and llama.Really, we couldnt have asked for anything better and appreciate everything that the Diamond M Ranch had to offer.
Friendly staff, great environment, clean rooms/cabins
Ditto Kono G ... a year later! Nothing has changed. Except we found them thru Harvest Host which would be one free nite no hookups. Normal for HH. Except for the way we were treated, even when we asked about paying for an extra night full hookups. The owners rant just got worse! Only gave the one star because this could be a great park. Large sites, nice layout with four sites facing in a square with a grassy middle and a huge above ground steel fire pit. They put us one the side when it rained it was muddy.

Awesome People!Awesome Place
Good place to be and good people
Very curtious staff and plenty of RV/camping space
Dirty, run down, overpriced campground. The service is terrible and its clear from the top that customer service is not a priority!
Never been there. I only drive by it when going to work.
Love, love, love this place!
Like it so much this is the 4th year up from TX.
