Brads is AMAZING. Located just North of N.Oak and 72nd on the East side of N. Oak in the strip mall with Hertz. After spending 5 hours at the Kia Dealership, then another hour at Valvoline, I brought my car into Brads. Turns out that everything that was quoted before was incorrect, and the ONLY thing wrong was an improperly installed battery and a stripped bolt. $30 and 30 minutes later I was out the door with a perfectly running vehicle. They saved me $100s of dollars and tons of hours. From here on out Im going here first. They have a customer for life. THANKS KEVIN AND ALL THE MECHANICS AT BRADS!!!

I was 3 1/2 hours away from home on a Friday at 3 15 when my truck tire area was making noise. I stopped in this shop and was greeted friendly and they diagnosed the problem. Wheel bearing was falling out! They had me fixed and back on the road in a hours time! Never underestimate a small owned business. A great big Hands up for sure! Thank you! Brad helped me out with diagnosing some error codes on my vehicle when I was trying to get my windshield replaced by the business in the same strip. Took my car to the dealership and to Orielly down the street, both said I didnt have any error codes. Brad hooked up his meter and showed me there were codes, and what they were for. He was happy to help, and didnt charge me. A true life saver!

This is an honest business! That is a huge value! My brother came into town with major car problems. Brads was recommended to me by a friend and the car was taken there for a diagnostic. They mentioned that his brakes needed to be replaced (a known issue) and he gave them the go ahead. when the diagnostic was complete they found an issue that was more expensive to fix then the car. they said that they will not do the brakes and said that it would be best to get rid of the car. Honesty like that is what people need in this world! They did not take advantage of my brother and the fact that he was out of town. This will be my go to place in the future!

Did what they could on my truck and when they put the hood back on its not centered at all due to one of their mechanics stripping out the bolt hole. Only way to fix would be getting an entire new hood

These guys knocked it out of the park. Had them install an aftermarket alternator for me that was just supposed to be a direct swap. Turns out it wasnt but with the quality and transparency of the service to make the part function as its supposed to was top notch.Wouldnt ever hesitate to reccomend this shop to anyone looking to get their vehicle serviced.

Always gets us in for appointments and doesnt overcharge or do stuff we didnt ask for....(in the past, I have gotten taken advantage of by other northland auto repair places but I trust Brads would not screw us over because after we have used them several times over the past couple of years, they have been fair honest, and very upfront and reasonable with their prices.

This is the only shop I ever take my cars to. Along with my wife, we have taken probably a dozen cars over the past 15 years to them. They have always given us great service, honest quotes, and get us in no matter what is going on with the cars. They offer us lower cost solutions like getting used parts for the cars but also let us know exactly what that may mean when it comes to the longevity of the repair. They are so nice both on the phone and in person and make sure they explain exactly what they are doing, even if you have no experience with any kind of auto work in your background. Ive always been happy with my experiences at Brads. They have fair prices and only do the work that needs to be done; no upselling for unnecessary repairs. Ive had several occasions where they didnt charge me a thing to take a look at my car. Once I was told that it was nothing to worry about. Another time I was recommended to a muffler shop that could do the work for half the price. Nothing but good things to say!

Go here! Went to have a brake inspection due to a squeaky noise. Kevin was very nice and they were able to get my car in and out and just a couple of hours. Turns out it was nothing major and the problem was fixed - they were honest, straightforward, and didnt try to scam the consumer. I was referred to Brads and I will be referring from here on out. Brads Auto Service is the only mechanic shop I ever recommend to friends and family. They are honest, diligent and very flexible with service. I have taken 3 of my cars to them over the past 10 years for everything. They have fixed anything from alignment issues when I decide to mount medians, to helping me fix my transmission just a few months ago (they helped to find a place who does great transmission work) to replacing electrical issues in the ignition system in my car. If doesnt need to be fixed, or does not need to be fixed right away Jared, Brad and the other fellas let me know. Its nice taking your car in for an oil change, and the only phone call you get is that the car is ready to picked up, not some silly sales call trying to tell you 4 other things you could fix on your car. Brads Auto is one of the last good and honest mechanic shops around and I am so happy my automobiles are serviced there. I trust them and their work and know I am safer on the road due to their work.

We had to take my wifes Dodge Journey, there to have left brake worked because of a bad rotor. They took only one day for the repair. They also provided a ride back to our home. They did a great job at a fair price. I highly recommend them.

They are honest, up front and will not tell you that you need extra things done on your car, if all you need is spark plugs and you really dont need to change your distributor cap and wires then they will let you know. They will not try to sell you what is not needed! Good place to go! I would recommend them to anybody!

Other than the name of the place, they have always been very professional with me and super accommodating when possible.

A week ago I took my 2002 F-250 to Brads for an oil/lube job, a clunking sound in the front end (bad ball joint), and a serious problem with windshield wipers and other accessories working intermittently for very short periods of time. Not too serious but damned irritating. Over the past 2 years I had spent over $2000 with other mechanics, including a Ford dealership, replacing various parts, switches, electronic boards, etc, to no avail. These other mechanics had the truck while the problem was occurring. I wasnt having the problem at the time I took the truck into Brads, so Brads couldnt definitively diagnose the fix. When I picked the truck up it was raining and when I started the truck the wipers would not turn on and neither would the radio. They took the truck back into the shop. 10 minutes later, ALL FIXED. They didnt charge me. And it was a simple fix, and only Brads caught it. Its been raining all week and its still, ALL FIXED. Brads forever!

I decided to take my jeep to Brads for my inspection simply because of all the positive reviews! And they lived up to them! I was there first thing in the morning, they got me in and out in a matter of a few minutes! I wasnt even late for work!Thanks guys! Ill be coming back for my future car repair needs!

Honestly cant imagine taking my car to anyone else. They always call to explain any work that needs attention - and gets my permission to do the work before they start. No up-sell and no pressure, just good service.

I have used this company since I was 16. FYI I turn 41 in a week. I have never once had a problem with any of the employees not to mention the service. I even witnessed a lady come in and complain that they were just trying to add on to her bill when it was recommended that she change her timing belt while they were doing her water pump. What happened next was the best customer service I have ever seen in any shop I have been in. The person at the counter asked if she had a moment to look at something and she agreed to go and look. They walked into the shop area where she was shown why she need to replace it at the same time and explained that if she did not and she would pay for the same labor as she was this time reaffirming that spend a little extra now to save from spending a lot later. I read some of the reviews on Brads not sure they had the correct Brads Auto that I know. I still have family that will drive 3 hrs to have him look and work on their cars. To those of you that had a bad experience step back and reevaluate the situation. If you live in the NKC area and you are looking for a truly top notch shop then you need to drive, push, pull or tow your vehicle to Brads. Keep up the Great work Guys and I will see you in 3000 miles!

They did great work on my car.

Customer service was decent but I dont feel my car got the attention it deserved as a new customer.

After going to an auto shop on Barry Road to get an oil change they notified me of a severe coolant leak and said that my radiator needed replacing and gave me a ridiculously high price to replace it. I called around several other auto repair shops to price compare and Brads Auto Service gave me the least expensive price so I took my car there. They told me that the radiator was not the problem, and it was in fact the water pump which cost even less to replace than the radiator. Had I stayed at that original auto shop, they would have replaced the wrong part and not fixed the problem for a ridiculously high price!I will return to Brads Auto Services for all my future auto needs! They did a very quick water pump replacement, and for no extra charge, checked my spark plugs to see if they were still working and topped off my coolant.I highly recommend these guys. A+.

I have gotten my car repaired here for well over 15 years. They are wonderful!! Once or twice Ive taken it in saying I needed work that would cost me a couple hundred bucks but theyd call me a couple hours later with something along the lines of Nope. Your breaks are fine. Really low on fluid cuz ur line was leaking. Line is fixed and fluid is good now. Which is a fraction of the cost. I always know the guys at the front that help me and their super nice, even the owner Brad.Once they did a repair on a car I had several years ago, and a couple months later I broke down on the highway, for what appeared to be the same reason but I wasnt sure. I called them just to ask if they had a tow company they could refer me to for cheap. Brad gets on the phone, we chat briefly about it, he sincerely apologized, told me he was sending a tow out for my car. He even asked if I needed a ride cuz he would come get me right then. They towed and fixed my car (defective part they replaced prior), THAT day...ALL FOR FREE. I didnt pay one penny for any of it nor did they try to add some additional BS charges to compensate for their loss of time and labor!I cant imagine the hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars they have saved me over the years.Ive never written a review for any company or service before (although I do have to respond to them in my line of work.) So when I picked up my car yesterday for a repair and inspection I told myself I was going to write them a very well deserved review. No company is perfect but....Theyre fair, honest and the one time my repair wasnt just right....they made it right. I refer everyone I know there.

One of the worst experiences Ive ever had.I called these guys on a Thursday to have my 67 Mustang looked at for general repair. I needed someone that would be willing to look at my 47 year old car and give it a once-over and create a running list of things we need to do to make my car a reliable daily driver.They told me that Monday would be the earliest day they could get me in. I dropped the car off on Monday morning as scheduled and planned on leaving it for the day. When I called to check on my car at 2pm, I was rudely told that my car hadnt even been looked at yet and that they couldnt look at my car until later in the day. I attempted to call again around 5:45pm and got no answer from them They close at 6pm so having heard nothing from them all day regarding the status of my car made me worrisome to say the least. I had to settle with the fact that my classic car was being held at Brads overnight without any notice from them or even a courtesy call to see if I would be ok with leaving the car overnight. The following morning I called them about 45 minutes after they opened. I was rudely told again that no one has touched my car yet and that if I didnt want to wait then I should just come up and pick up the car. SERIOUSLY!? They had my car for more than 24 hours with ZERO communication from them and their response is and having never looked at my car and I get a, just come pick it up if you dont want to wait. Im not sure what in the world is going on with this place but there were hardly any cars in their service bays and it looked as though they had plenty of available personnel to look at my car for an hour, especially when I called ahead and scheduled an appointment. Furthermore, I also feel that its necessary to say that Sams Service Center just down the street from Brads is owned/operated by the same people/person. When I initially dropped off my car at Brads, there was another person standing behind the counter from Sams Service Center and was asking me questions about what was going on. I researched this a bit and found out that these two auto repair shops are one in the same.Also, I found it extremely exploited by them in that when I came to pick up my, I was simply handed the keys and sent on my way. There was no apology, no explanation, no attempt to keep my business. Instead there was a guy behind a counter that was cold and just said, heres your keys. I highly recommend NOT going to this shop for your auto repair needs. Ill be posting this same review on Angies List and Rip-Off Report. I welcome a response from the owner, Ive got plenty of documentation to support my review if I feel its necessary to take this claim further.

They are very courtious, honest, they dont try to screw over women when they come in for work to be done, like alot of other repair shops do! Great place to do business! They dont tell you that you need more things fixed than you do! Their prices are very competitive!
