I lived at Cordillera Ranch for 5 years. Apartment living has its challenges, most of which are due your neighbors. Although the property isn’t brand new anymore the staff there are exceptional. On more than one occasion the maintenance staff have stayed late, gone out of their way or stopped by on the weekend to do work on and off the clock without any request for recognition. Darrel, Dean and Mike do an excellent job and make every resident a priority. You’ll see negative reviews at any apartment but any reviews directed to the staff in the office is completely false. They do the best job they can. I do believe they care about the residents, the property and their job, a somewhat unique combination of traits for an entire staff. They obviously can’t control exterior forces like car break ins or a pandemic. They do an excellent job and provide exactly what’s included in your monthly payment. Many of my neighbors had been there for years as well and there’s good reason for it.Thank you Cordillera Ranch for your hospitality during my stay. I may be more particular than many of your tenants but none the less I appreciate your patience during my time there. I hope nothing but growth and success to the maintenance staff mentioned above, Nikki, Heather, Ashley and Kelly for making my apartment a home. I’ll miss the ranch but am happy to be a homeowner thanks to them for providing an affordable place to live while I saved to buy a home of my own.

Lived here for 4 years no complaints, office personnel was extremely friendly and helpful, Heather was wonderful, grounds was always beautiful, maintenance was quick on fixing on anything that needed repaired, definitely would rent here again, perfect location

Great place for your vehicles to be broken into and/or stolen. Have had 3 vehicles broken into in less than 1month. Office doesnt care, not their problem. No parking lot cameras or security...they have a courtesy drive through 1-2 times per night but never see anything of course.

My family and I lived in the apartments for a year while we were transitioning to a house.All the time we were there everyone was very helpful. Every-time we needed something fixed orDone to the apartment they was always helpful.We want to especially thank Heather, from the first time we met her, she have always been courteous andeager to help. I have lived here for almost one year. I have been extremely happy here! I was very nervous about moving into apartment since I havent lived in an apartment for about 35 years! I can tell you that Heather has made my move in and also renewing my lease so easy and comfortable. In renewing my lease I was very skeptical that my monthly lease would increase by a huge amount, but that was not the case in any way! I cant tell you how excited I was to hear this!! The maintenance staff here are awesome and reply to the very few issues I had immediately. they also keep on top of keeping the grounds very clean and free of snow, etc. The office staff is always friendly and available. If looking for a place to live I would highly recommend living here!

I have lived at Cordillera Ranch Apartments for a little over three years. Cordillera Ranch has a great location, amenities, staff, and neighbors! I feel very safe here at all hours of day and night! I am proud to call this complex home! Heather, Kelley, and staff are always very friendly and helpful. Maintenance is also very knowledgeable and quick to respond! We have yummy Hyvee breakfast once a month, a year round pool, convenient shopping, and beautiful walking trails!

My niece lives here. The parking spaces were a bit small for a pickup but smaller cars fit nicely. There is covered parking for residents here. It was quiet and clean on the property. Her apartment was small, but well laid out. It had a modern feel about it. Clean hallways and it seemed to be very safe. She is very happy living here as it is away from downtown, but easy to get there.

The place never seems to keep warm enough in the winter even though the furnace is running full blast and there are heaters going. I dont think there is any insulation because even the walls were like ice. Location is good. View is good. Price is a little high considering there are much nicer apartments right next door for the same price.

They gave us notice that the buildings would be repainted back in May. They are JUST NOW doing our building. The railings are a mess (they look like bad camouflage) and my husband and I are regularly woken by ladders against our bedroom window at 6 am. The painters left their equipment outside all weekend, and the building looks like s*** on the outside. Meanwhile, we would probably get a notice stuck in our door if we left a cooler outside for a day, or a beach towel draped over a balcony rail (yes--these are things that are no-nos in the eyes of office management, who cant be bothered to do anything except enforce their picky, petty rules, when theyre not outside smoking). And, dont get me started on the nightmare that was resurfacing the parking lot!The rent goes up every year, and the amenities go down. (See: other reviews regarding pool routinely closed for maintenance, etc. They even turned all of the exercise equipment AWAY from the TV in the workout room. Im amazed they havent gotten rid of the TV, too.) Ive had the misfortune to be here for 7 years (the first two of which were a joy, until Sentinel Properties--the current owners-- got their mitts on the place). Were doing our best to get away--renting a house would be cheaper, and Im sure the landlord would be far more reasonable. I used to love living here, and felt like part of a community. Now I hate it, and cant wait to make my escape.

I love being able to live in our own little resort (as my boyfriend and I call it)!! They apartments are very large and well designed. The pool and hot tub are always open and CLEAN!! There are just to many good things to say about this apartment complex.. But most of all the staff and leasing girls are AMAZING!!

Nice apartments... but need more insulation in the bottom units.... gets pretty darn cold during the winter! otherwise fine looking apartments clean n new but again more insulation in the bottom units

I have been a resident here for 2.5 years, I love it here.Maintenance work orders are handled correctly and quickly, with a follow up call verifying service was completed to resident standards (about a week later), on call maintenance did not complain when I needed to call them in the middle of the night Daniel was actually very apologetic for the issue.I love the pool here- in 2+ years there have only been a handful of times it has been closed for longer than scheduled maintenance.I have never had an issue with anyone in the office, Heather will go out of her way to assist with questions and needs. Every question I have ever asked has been responded to accurately. I pay my rent online thru the resident portal and only once the system was down and I had to walk to the office and pay with a check- not a big deal, got a few extra steps in that dayThere is a courtesy office that lives on site which makes me keel safe, since I do not pay extra for alarm monitoring.The only complaint I have is with the USPS, not the complex, the mail carrier wasnt verifying mail before placing in boxes. When I confronted her, she said, well Im only 410 I cant see the numbers in the boxes I notified the Post Master, my complaint was noted, there has been a lot more accuracy in residents mailI would stay here for a lot longer, however it is with a heavy heart I am moving out to purchase my own home- time to start investing and earning equity.This is truly a great complex to live in (I previously lived in 2 horrible complexes in the northland)I would recommend Cordillera Ranch to anyone looking to rent

I am writing this review after moving out after 3yrs of living at Cordillera Ranch! First, I would like to recognize Heather for her professionalism, from day one she was always helpful and cares about the tenants and very quick to respond. I liked the diversity of people that lived here, I had the joy of living next to two ladies that were 82+. The CR provides fun events for their tenants to attend as well. Swimming pool parties, breakfast once a month ect...If your looking for easy access to all major Highways (169,I-29,435,152) This place provides that! I always felt safe living at Cordillia Ranch.

I love how I can send my kids outside to play with so many neighbors. Evenings at the pool are spent grilling and relaxing with friends and neighbors. Truly a place I love to call home.

The website payment system is rigged so that you are required to pay late fees. Zero stars!!! Office managers were born without; compassion, hearts, intelligence and common sense. Do not rent from these people!!

Very frustrated with this apartment complex. I have lived here for 1 year and got a letter saying we need to let them know a month in advance if we wanted to renew the lease. I called a month before our lease ended to confirm we would not be renewing and they said we would have to pay for 60 extra days! They were not helpful or flexible. Would NOT recommended!!! Also-heating/cooling is very expensive. I’ve asked around what others are paying in KC and Liberty and it’s nowhere near what I’ve been paying at Cordillera.

My sister and I have been living here for 8 months now and have zero complaints. The staff has always been nice to us and any time we have needed maintenance they were very quick to fix it. The pool is heated year round which is a huge plus and over the summer not overly crowded nor is the hot tub. We have Hyvee breakfast catered once a month and IT IS AWESOME. Its just another way to get to know more people around the complex. The fitness room is decent size and have all the basics! Also never crowded. And afterwards theres always coffee or tea in the club house! Aside from the apartments themselves having great layouts and appliances having a balcony is also such an awesome thing to have. 100% worth the rent to live here. Only 15-20 min from downtown and everything is so close!

This place sucks, getting hit with fees all over the place. Just signed my lease a month ago. Ready to move out already. I do not recommend living here. Its your typical apartment complex that wants nothing but your money. This place is ridiculous. They will tell you why you want to hear so you will sign. After you sign they dont care about nothing but your money.

STAY AWAY from this place. Ive been staying here for a year now and never been late on any payment or had any complaints against me. After my lease was up they raised my rent and regardless I decided to sign another 12 month lease because they were offering a $300 gift card. When I went to the office multiple times I was told my Lease isnt ready, I kept my patience and routinely checked in at the office to see if it was ready but than at the end of the month I was told by the office that I had gone month to month was being charged $1700 than my normal $1100 but was told to pay $1100 anyway because the office knew i was signing a lease and they will just back date it. Well i did what they told me to do but than i was charged a late fee for the remaining $500 which i had to pay and on top of that they wrote my rent as late. They never gave me the $300 gift card because i didnt sign my contract in time. How can i sign a contract in time if it isnt ready? They are a bunch of lazy, unappreciative, and impolite idiots and would never do business with these people again.

They will bad mouth you if you try to move. They have had no working trash compactor for weeks. Overpriced and dont stand behind what they say. Girls that work in the office are always outside smoking and hiding from tenants who try to ask questions or make requests. Multiple noise issues with previous tenant above me but they discourage you from making a noise complaint. Actually said, are you really sure you want to start that? Ready to go...

Absolutely worse place ever. People vandalize your vehicals, wont fix anything, and office drinks and partys at pool so we cant take our kids. Im active military and this is by far the worst. The get paint all over vehicles and dont care from painting buildings. Move kids in that disturb residents. Numerous complaints with city and with police. Top it off I am told that I cant fly my American flag nor my Air Force flag. Both flags are on poles not attach to building but to a flag base. There are wreck cars in parking lot with pieces of them everywhere and danger to residents. I have a tons of pictures, just go see yourselves and look around. This place is NOT supportive of our country nor troops! That is the biggest fall with us as we are military family. Id say call city, look around at property.. Just see for yourself. O and the fact we have call cops 2 times of people having sex at pool after hours dont work either. Point being not safe environment for belongings nor kids. BEWARE DO YOUR RESEARCH

I lived in Cordillera Ranch Apartments for 2 lease terms. I found the CR office staff to be unprofessional, disrespectful, and insensitive to the needs of Americans With Disabilities. H**th*r in the office was usually rude to my wife and I, and gossipping about residents was commonplace while the staff stands out the side door smoking cigarrettes. The complex has _No elevators. If you rent on the 3rd floor, be certain that you enjoy hauling all your stuff up and down the stairs. There are some silly restrictions re: balcony space, and staff tends to be a little anal in issuing violation notices because they can be/ lead to fines being assessed. Management fired all full-time & professional maintenence dept. employees right before the Christmas holiday in 2014, and evicted them Jan. 1st, 2015 from the on-site housing they had been living in (as our neighbors) as part of their compensation.You see, there was a Rulein-place at CR that former employees were not welcome to rent at the complex. Period.The Maintenece was assumed by part-time, contracted employees. The seasonal landscapping was always beautiful and very meticulously groomed. The pool is closed down too frequently for daily pH balance - thus the entire recreation area w/ hot tub, fire pit, tables, tanning chairs is likewise locked and closed. The apt. project was built on former wild and wetlands naturally inhabited by various ( but now displaced ) wild animals. The walking track area beyond the tennis court is a flood plain headache for the owners, who, _dont live there as your neighbors, ... But rather, expect to be charged late fees and methodically sued in court if you fall behind on your lease payments. Trying to create a feeling of community- the staff serves a free breakfast once per month thats worth grabbing on-the-go, but plan to skip the Superbowl Party. Lol! I would NEVER recommend this place. Besides the lazy staff, the thin walls and a constant plumbing problem they will rip you off when its time to move. I gave them a 60day notice, always paid on time. I had my final walk thru which the paperwork showed nothing about needing the carpets cleaned (I was only there 3mths) yet I received updated walk thru paperwork 2 months later (in the mail at my new home) where they had WROTE in an additional charge for carpet cleaning and refused to give back my deposit and charged me an additional $368 for the cleaning and sent it to collections. I would never recommend anyone to this place unless you are ok with dishonest management

The managers here are incompetent, inadequate, liars and cheats. Every question or problem I ever had they could never answer nor help with. I lived for two years so its hard to remember all the problems, but I still have a list that I can share;1. We had a next door neighbor with small dogs that would bark incessantly all day long, non-stop. Even with the T.V. on and our bedroom door closed we still heard them. This started in August 2015, we filed several noise complaints and they never did anything. Eventually they did act and resolved the problem, in March of 2016.2. Their ammenities are only available about half the time. The pool and hot tub are open year-round but were always under maintenance, their printer they offer for residents to use is broken, and has been for several months.3. The noise is horrendous, the lawn care people work everyday, they start at 5 in the morning amd go all day well into 6-7 pm. they are extremely loud, and can well be heard even with the T.V. on.4. Maintenance takes their time with fixing things. All requests for maintenance are never answered on time, they take at least a week, a lot of times two weeks.5. Each year we were there they raised our rent significantly, with no reason except for cost of living and inflation. They never cleaned the carpets, replaced anything, nor did anything else that would justify raising the rent each year by such an outrageous amount.6. They will rip you off with returning your deposit. We gave our 60 day notice we were moving out the 22nd of April (its when our contract expired) on the 22nd of February. At the time they scheduled us and made us put down the 23rd of April, because the 22nd was booked for them to do the final inspection with us. When the time came, we were charged a $30 penalty for having lived there one day after our contract expired, even though they wouldnt let us do the move out for the 22nd!This place is losing people fast. My finals months here I saw many neighbors moving out, with similar things to say as I did about these apartments. No one new moves into here, these people dont care about you, they only care about the money
