Jason was our technician. He was very thorough and explained everything from problem, through repair, possible outcomes in future and of course the various costs. He was neat. Great service – excellent technicianMy 7 year-old LG refrigerator stopped making ice and was not cooling properly. I was a first-time caller to Able and Jason was sent to see what the issue was. He immediately knew that it was an ongoing issue with my LG model, that the compressor needed to be replaced and was still under a ten-year warranty for replacement. He gave me the information I needed to make the call and it will be replaced by LG – no charge for the compressor just the LG service charge.I mentioned to him that I had a 50+ year old Kenmore refrigerator that had never given me any trouble until about 3 weeks ago when it suddenly stopped working. John Beckner came to our house to look at our clothes dryer that weve had for many years and my husband had replaced several parts on over the last few years. John was extremely professional and knowledgeable on the repair that we needed and given the age of the dryer, advised against putting any more money into it. He offered great advice on the best brands to consider for a replacement, which we greatly appreciated and were happy to discover that one of his recommendations was a brand we were already considering. We would highly recommend Able and John for any appliance need. We plan to use them again should the need arise.

Bronson was our repairperson. Bronson was very quick in diagnosing the water leaking into the refrigerator area. once he received the pricing info from the office he went to work dismantling the freezer compartment and showed me what the problem was. Bronson was very professional and has a great sense of humor. We use Able for all of our appliance issues and we have never been unsatisfied.

Had a slow leak at the bottom of the refrigerator that was hard to find. John Beckner spent the time to try to find it and found the filter housing slightly wet. This was replaced as well as the drip pan and all seems to be fine now. Will call Able Appliance for any future needs.

Able was able to service my fridge on the same day that I called. Repair was costly but service tech was so knowledgeable and encouraged us to consider all options (repair vs replace). No pressure at all. Tech arrived and finished when he said he would. Fridge is back up n running...hopefully for many more years!

Robert, the technician, called before the service to say he was on his way and when he would arrive. He arrived on time and introduced himself and inquired about the reason for the service and what issues I was having with my washing machine. He explained how the machine operated and decided that a new motor was needed based on my information and also he operated the machine at that time. Parts needed to be ordered to repair the washer and and it would take about a couple days and then I would get a call from the office to schedule a repair appointment. Robert was very informative, courteous and professional. I would recommend Able Appliance Repair for very good service.

I called Able Appliance on a Friday, and they immediately scheduled a technician to come out the following Monday. Nathan (technician) was very professional and focused. A part needed to be ordered and he and Chris (also very professional and nice) returned the following week, got right to work, and repaired my freezer successfully. Nathan also offered additional information on how to maintain the freezer for a longer life span. Price wasnt cheap, but I believe its competitive for the work done. I would definitely recommend Able and will contact them for future needs.

Today was my dozenth time or so using Able. Their minimum fee has increased substantially over the last several years, now at $150 I think. But it was really about time, you have to pay people for their expertise. And John Beckner is certainly an expert. I made the appt for the next day, John was on time, efficient and knowledgeable. As a REALTOR®, Able is still my go-to recommendation for appliance repair.

A couple of items I wanted to share which may help potential customers. If you make an appointment for service you will be given a four hour window (not unusual). I took the day off due to the required time frame. You are advised that your technician will inform you when he is on the way. Two hours and 40 minutes into my time frame, I received two calls from a Mississippi number within seconds of each other (no voicemails). Four minutes later, I received a call from the Able Office to inform me that the technician was trying to call me. Unfortunately, I missed this call and discovered it four minutes later. When I called back (within four minutes), I was informed that my appointment had been cancelled. I would say that after being given a four hour window, I would expect a courtesy of longer than four minutes! Also, they claimed that the technician called me several times (I am assuming the two back to back calls from Mississippi). Although two back to back calls doesnt necessarily equate to several, it isnt an outright lie, but at least a stretch of the truth. Not sure I would want someone diagnosing, making estimates, repairing and billing me for appliance repair that is a little flexible on honesty. The person that I spoke to was very apologetic and kind, but clearly they are busy enough that they didnt need our business, so I thanked them and let them know that we would try to use someone else. We have used their services in the past and they did a great job, I would just make sure to keep your phone close.

Able got me scheduled for service right away. John was professional and friendly; He explained and showed me the problems he was finding with my washing machine and gave a fair and honest estimate for the repair. I highly recommend Able Appliance Repair!

I have had Robert out to fix our dryer and our oven, and Jason out to fix a leaky fridge. Robert could have sold me on a new heating element for the dryer, but he thought it really just needed a cleaning, and he was right! One year later, and its running great. He fixed the oven ignitor in under an hour, and Jason did a great job unclogging our freezer drain and vacuuming our vents. I didnt even know I needed to do that. With the low quality of appliances built today, we know theyll need repair, and we always call Able Appliance!

I called for someone to come look at my refrigerator/freezer and they were very prompt in setting up an appointment. It was my compressor and Doug set me up with an appointment to get it repaired the very next day. I was totally impressed. Mike was to be here at 7:30 am and he arrived at 7 am and asked if he could get started. He was done before 8 am, I am very happy with this company and these gentlemen. If I have another need, I will call them first.

Ive used them in the past, did fine. This time I asked for an estimate for the part and labor to repair a specific part on a specific washing machine. An estimate, not a quote. They said they dont do that and only gave average repair price. Who operates that way? If you go to an auto shop to replace tires, the give you a quote. If you need your battery replaced on a phone, they give you an estimate.. they refused.As to the response: they are now apologizing for not doing something I didnt ask for them to do.. clearly they dont listen or read reviews.They stated they needed a technician to look to find out what to replace.. which again doesnt address what I asked. I told them I was fairly certain of the exact part that needed replacing, and asked for an estimate ASSUMING I was correct, and stated that I realized that if I was in correct, I would not expect the quote to be honored.They apologized for not being able to give an accurate quote when all they would give is the average cost of a repair. Again, when you to go to an auto shop, they dont give you an Average estimate for a repair.. So, You need a new car battery, well our average repair cost is $800. Your engine block is cracked.. well, our average cost is $800.The attempt in the response to make it look like I was asking for a diagnosis over the phone is simply incorrect.

I called to have someone come repair my washing machine and they came the same week. They are professional and explain what they did and when they couldnt repair it for less than a new washer they gave me tips on what to look for and how to no spend too much money. Honesty is priceless and rare.

Technician, Jake, called and let us know he would arrive in 15 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the dryers issue was a fuse. He also found that the belt also needed to be replaced. Both were replaced in short order and our dryer was back in service. Thanks, great job.

Jason was very professional and quick to both diagnose the issue and resolve it. He recommended ordering the part myself which ended up saving me around $100. I was expecting the repair to take much longer than it did and everyone was very helpful throughout the whole process.

Mark was able to show us a workaround for our Maytag dryer since the part needed for the repair was no longer made. He also fixed the ice maker on our Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer. It had stopped mid-cycle and was not working at all. We are very happy with his service because we now have a dryer that dries our clothes and our ice maker is making ice. He did all of this for the price of a service call!

Within minutes of arrival, Mr Gomez had located the source of the leak in our dishwasher. We decided a repair would cost more than replacing the dishwasher, so we only paid for the service call, which was very reasonable. We asked if he had favorite brands, and he gave us a couple. He also reminded us that if we changed our minds and decided to repair it, the service charge would be applied to the bill.

John has been twice to my house and both times very professional and courteous. Always explains what he is doing .

While Able Appliance cant do anything about the quality of our Samsung refrigerator, the technician was prompt and professional. The next day service was greatly appreciated, the tech called prior to arriving and was well within the time frame I had been given when making the appointment. He was very polite, got to work without delay, resolved what issues he could quickly (again Samsungs lack of quality notwithstanding), and was very knowledgeable, offering a great deal of advice along with service options on both the refrigerator and other appliances in general. I would recommend Able Appliance without hesitation and would certainly use them again should/when the need arises. If only Samsung took the same level of care and pride in its product.

After our refrigerator quit working, I called two local companies and was told it was going to be at least five days before they could send someone out to look at our fridge and determine if it could be repaired. I called Able and they sent someone out the next morning. Bronson quickly figured out what was wrong, gave me an estimate, ordered the parts, and told me since my fridge wasn’t working he would be back the next day to fix it. For five years, I have suffered with a Samsung refrigerator that has a funky design flaw that allows water to freeze around the condenser and not drain as it should. DO NOT USE ABLE APPLIANCE REPAIR. Able was quick to show up for the repairs, which was great, but the value wasnt worth it. My wife was charged $1100 to replace a compressor in our refrigerator/freezer. After the technician left, I did some local research and learned that the average price in Johnson County for this repair was around $500 and ranged from $350-$600. Nobody we spoke with could believe that another company would charge us this much. I feel like my wife was taken advantage of. I 100% do NOT recommend using Able Appliance Repair.

Our dryer went out... bad thermal switch... on a Maytag dryer that was only four years old... My wife called Able Appliance Repair and the very next day Jake was at my house and solved the problem in minutes allowing me to make my afternoon meetings... He was very professional, helped me clean behind the dryer, and just simply a good person. I highly recommend this company, especially Jake, for any appliance repair which lets face it... given the fact that most of these appliances, or at least their components, are now cheaply built and are certainly not the quality they once were... the need for repairs on fairly new appliances will only increase! Finally this is a family owned and run company... and you can tell!!!

I got an appointment within two days when our freezer started to leak water. The technician was very professional and knew right away what the problem was. He deiced the freezer and replaced the burned out heater element in half an hour. Super efficient and knowledgeable and the rate was reasonable!

We had a service need for our GE profile series dishwasher. I was able to schedule an appointment for diagnosis and repair very easily with consistent follow up from customer service until the technician arrived. Jason, our technician, was friendly and prompt and advised us of when he would be here well in advance of his arrival. His diagnosis and on-site repair was quick and his explanation helped for when this hard water related issue might come up again. We used Able Appliance to repair a water leak and the ice maker in our refrigerator/freezer. Their service calls and repair prices are fair. The scheduler was professional and very prompt. But the real star was Bronson, our service techincian. This guy is friendly, funny, so down to earth and very knowledegable. I had a GREAT experience with Drew from Able Appliance Repair. He was very professional and communicative. It look 20 minutes to diagnose the issue, 24 hrs for the part to come in, and 20 minutes to repair it. LOVE all of that! Plus, I never had to remind him to wear a mask ... like some other repair professionals Ive encountered. I really appreciate that. I would definitely give them a call for any future repairs.

My apologies up front, this review is a little late. Only because I had gone out of town immediately following our repairs. However, our experience with Able Appliance Repair and their technician John Beckner was fantastic. Thus, it needed to be pointed out. After calling to schedule an appointment for our LG washer to be looked at. Able Appliance Repairs technician John Beckner came to our home and took a look at our washer. After thoroughly explaining all our options for repair, we selected one. Our washer was repaired and running great again. The whole experience was remarkable. Gomez is a fantastic technician! He was very professional and knowledgeable about our dishwasher and refrigerator. Although we did not choose to have either repaired, he was very honest with his diagnosis and gave us several options.
