Americans seem to have forgotten that civic institutions cannot be run like businesses. To ensure a free and independent press, the United States Post Office Department was established and we clearly take it for granted, especially now that it’s been turned into USPS and runs off a business model (it doesn’t work well at all). If we want better mail service and independent media, then it’s time that citizens demand that it’d be re-politicized and funded by taxpayers. I get small-urban and rural Americans frustrations, it’s time that we invite each other back into the loop, get out of our echo-chambers, and build better communication between each other to strengthen the Union and bring it back up to speed in the 21st century. First and foremost, it’d be nice to have an official e-mail account assigned to me by the post office (like they do with mailing addresses). Second of all, it’d be nice to have the post office develop a web browser that protected my privacy by virtue of my Constitutional rights as a US citizen. Instead, I have to blindly accept the terms and conditions of private contracts drafted by a corporation that sells my information to third parties as if I am a product and not a political animal. Polls don’t capture public opinion— they’re marketing tools. Stop chasing sunsets, the sun will rise once again in the opposite direction. God Bless America 🇺🇸
Was on my porch while the mail was being delivered, watched them deliver the block then drive off, shortly after received an alert my package had been delivered, checked with the neighbor who received a package that day and the box wasnt mine... the only reply I received was that GPS said my box was delivered to my front porch (where I had been sitting). It was an international shipment and on the original site was marked that this needed to be signed for. Something is seriously wrong here, do not ship through USPS.Update, I have been recieving mail this week meant for houses on my block that are 5 or 6 houses down, the addresses are printed fine, there is something very wrong with this place.
Isk what is wrong with these people but I called with a simple question...it took 40 minutes to get someone on the phone..then the person I did get was the rudest person Ive ever talked to...I did record most of the conversation, I didnt start until she started with the attitude. These azzholes dont realize we pay their salary!!!! So just be decent...dont have to be Mr. Rodgers...but be a human being..please.
Worst post office I’ve ever been to. Avoid at ALL COSTS. I hate that everytime I miss a package I have to come here to pick it up. I came to pickup a package with my drivers license in my married name but they required me to bring my license in my maiden name since the package was in my maiden name although I have the correct address on my license and I showed my debit card in my maiden name.when I came here to open a PO Box, although I had 3 pieces of identification, I needed to show the deed to my HOUSE.Every time I come here I’m always gassed and inconvenienced. AVOID THIS LOCATION.
The workers at this location are so nice and helpful, taking extra time to explain things, courteous, great experience
I have the Informed Delivery App so I know what mail is coming. No mail delivery for the last 2 days, cant call ANYBODY !!!!!! I had a package to go out that they missed. COVID IS NOT A VALID EXCUSE !!!! for mail not delivered for 2 DAYS !!!
They are the only government entity with any integrity left. They always deliver no matter what and without the post office the rest of the shipping company’s would raise the price by many hundreds of times and we would be stuck paying it because there are no alternatives. Look at the power companies we don’t want to end up like that
Super friendly clerks - they always have me leaving smiling. I love my local USPS.
Phone number doesnt work. cant get simple questions answered.
Multiple refusals to deliver packages.Refusal to hand over packages held at office despite it be addressed to our location.Removed names at mailbox before then stopping mail to names removed. If at all possible try to avoid this post office.
They should get rid of their phone number altogether since they never answer calls or return calls. Their number is basically a voicemail number, one that no one ever checks.
Most of the staff is very helpful and timely. Just one bad one. Just go at the right times to avoid her and youre golden!
Literally cannot get a hold of any type of customer service/live person. Always end up reaching voicemail.
The people here are marginally good at their job. They do what the have to but dont raise a finger to do anything extra. Typical to a government agency, they do not understand the concept of customer, and the fact that without us, the USPS would not exist. The mentality for government run business needs to change. These agencys need to realize that they are not doing us a favor by existing - We do them a favor by being more or less forced to use their services. What can you expect going into a government run facility? It is very typical, so I would say they at least meet my expectation.Of all people at this facility, the janitorial / facilities lady is by far the most resources and helpful. I am very thankful to have run into her and had her to help me solve my problem. Which she did admirably. Do yourself a favor and find her if you need something other than someone punching keys on a computer.
Most awesome staff! Especially Rich. Love this PO.
Horrible service . the lady wouldnt give me my package because the last name wasnt the same as my ID even though I had extra mail to verify my identity. Waste of time for a snobby old lady.
Overall the worst post office I have ever experienced in organization. Poor staff try their best.
I had an incredible experience at this Post office because of the clerk. She was personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. I will be returning to this location only in hopes I get her to handle my postal needs.
Very good customer service, they always remember me and what I am usually there for. All the clerks are so friendly.
Cindy was very helpful with answering our questions. Very kind and easy to speak with.
Someone, somehow changed my delivery so now I have to go to the post office to pick up my packages. I tried to call and see what happened and when, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING THAT it was magically a wait time till closing time, 1hr 5min. USPS sucks around Kalamazoo
5 star Customer service rating! I had a very important document sent to me by Priority mail from the Drake road post office. It didnt arrive to me in California. According to tracking It was delivered to a Philadelphia post office! I called the S. Drake road post office and spoke with Karen B. She works at the Miller Road office but happen to be at the S. Drake office where the package was mailed from. She was there training someone and she assisted me by finding where my document went exactly and calling that office and putting them on alert for the envelope/document . Karen was reassuring that it would be found and that as she received updates she would call me. So for four days i was in contact with Karen for my daily update until I had it in my hand and could call her back that I received it. :DWe all know with the millions of pieces of mail that go out daily that things can happen and will and do and whether it be scanners or human error. I am just ever so thankful it was located. Thank you Karen B from the bottom of my heart you truly are a lifesaver! In all the years of sending priority mail I have never had a problem ever and have faith I wont again. BiG HuGs!! I hope Karens Supervisor reads this and gives her an excellent reward and review for being an excellent professional caring employee in representing the United States Post Office.
As others have mentioned, the people here are very rude, and borderline unprofessional. My bad experience was with Dahlia, the angriest postal employee Ive ever encountered. She gives new meaning to the term going postal. Do yourself a favor and go to the post office on Milham or Drake, where the employees are helpful and professional (despite being twice as busy).
No phone numbers for local office. No customer service. Now no delivery on Sunday evening though thats what I paid for. Watched them drive past my door yesterday. Bull.... excuse. Ring my bell and you could deliver. 40 to 50 minute wait for customer service. Unacceptable.
My delivery man harassed my fiance when she was pregnant unknowing that her children were visiting a neighbor and they were not unsupervised. He came onto our property, around the back of the house, and started a verbal confrontation with her. I notified this wish washy post office of his actions and, legally, they are required by law to undergo an investigation of this matter. Its a serious offense for a federal worker to violate his work code in force of civic duty responsibilities. Whether not action was taken, I do not know. I do know that he was not on this same route until a few months ago. Yesterday, instead of delivering a package, he slipped a sorry we missed you notice in the mail box. I heard someone outside and opened up the door. He saw me and peeled off recklessly into 10 tall, 20 wide boulder in the road. He smashed right into it with his passenger tire. My Nearest neighbor waved him down at the same time about something. He stopped and nodded said a few words and tore out of there again. What can I do about this lunatic? Id rather not have this crazed man even CLOSE to my property. This is the type of person that Id call the police on, and hes a federally employed USPS delivery man! This branches phone number does NOT pick up their phone nor return phone calls. Any suggestions? Also, if anyone could post on how I can get a new mail carrier that would be excellent.
Been going there for years. Never had a problem and the staff is pretty friendly. Still prefer the. U.S.P.S. over FedEx or UPS.Edit. They now have lost two packages in two months. The supervisors are complete idiots. Time to talk with their superiors because they essentially told me to get lost when they couldnt figure out what to do.Horrible.
I ordered my moms birthday present online and had it sent to her address, which was correct even though they deemed it to be undeliverable. Ive spent the past half hour trying to get in touch with a live person to figure out where exactly this package is now, but to no avail. Absolute waste of my time. These people wouldnt know what customer service was if it smacked them in the face.
Since I have lived at my address anytime I order a package (including from amazon) the carrier is to lazy to get out and walk the package to my door. So now I have to figure out how to go to the post office. Great service. Not.
They are absolutely the worst. They never deliver packages on time and they “loose them” often. I’ve been on hold waiting for someone for more then 2 hours before and then they close. I would just go there but god knows no one would help me. The incompetence level of the staff here is baffling.
Takes too long. Angry they close at 1:30 now and not 2. This was never announced or posted. One guy is too friendly its almost creepy. Wish my packages would just be delivered. But most times they just write slips instead of bringing to door...terrible service. But thats gov workers for you.
Ordered something off Amazon. It was supposed to be delivered on Sunday. I got a tracking notice saying they attempted to deliver but the business was closed. Last I checked, Im not a business... They told me to look for a notice from them about attempted delivery...and there was none. I dont know what the hell is going on and I cant seem to get an answer...
Normal mail person is amazing. Package delivery, however, is another story. Many times since I have lived here (townhouse normal door like an actual home) we get an attempted delivery and the package comes next week. Extremely frustrating. There is no attempt. Will be filing a formal complaint about the laziness.
Very efficient friendly people first time here were helpful.
This is a really nice post office. The staff are helpful and friendly.
Recently our post office discontinued service on our block of about 12-15 homes (with no warning) until we install a curb side mailbox. I have to drive 15 minutes to post office to pick up my mail. A neighbors dog had chased the mailperson 4 times before the rest of the block was punished because the postal service didnt contact that house directly or call animal control. We have had issues with the mail person being lazy (walking through our yard, never delivering on time or for days in a row, warning us to shovel our yard so they could walk through it). I spoke to the route manager face to face and he seemed less than concerned about my issue. I am very dissapointed with the level of service and professionalism with this issue at hand and believe it could have been handled a lot differently.
Terrible carriers paid for two day shipping and on the 4th day the mail lady puts a pink note... Sorry we missed you note in my box. She never tried to diliver the package to my door. If she had she would have been greeted by my husband who had been waiting outside for her to drop off our package. Then i wait for 50 minutes to talk to someone who tells me to call the same guy who never answered my husbands call. What a waste of time and money. When someone pays for 2 day shipping they need it asap for a reason. Way to make my family miss out because she failed to do her job😤
Package delivery service from Miller Road is so poor, they should just stop.I have spoken to the manager at this location on numerous occasions and all I get are flimsy excuses. She is as inept as her Sunday delivery drivers.I paid to have yet another parcel delivered this Sunday. I sat at home, on my computer, in the living room, 10 from my OPEN front door, and recieved an online-notification that the driver couldnt access my front door. The lazy ****** just couldnt be bothered to do his job, and neve showd up. I am contacting the Postmaster General.
I just wanted to ask a question to a live person over the phone but that is to difficult!
Idiots..said they attempted deliverery. I was literally out in my front yard at the time. No one ever showed up. Email said a noticed was left.....there was no notice. So glad i paid for 2 day shipping when im guessing you went to wrong house....
If I could post this with 0 stars I would. Rude and spiteful people are inflexible and do not belong in any form of customer service or public service. If you go to the Miller Rd branch in Kalamazoo Michigan expect to be treated like an unwanted distraction. They do not want customers and do not need your business. Shame!
Never had a problem! Totally great!
These people go on break if you’re 2 minutes late. Arrive extra early for passport appointments.
Didnt deliver package even though packed had the correct address, though they said it was wrong. Had to pick it up myself. Lazy postal workers. Worthless place
Mail person knows its an apartment but gives all mail to people upstairs and I dont receive my mail
Workers seemed to hate their job and one guy working there was very creepy towards me.
I like getting information on buying post stamp
2 weeks and no mail so far. Had to go pick it up myself.
Fast and efficient
People are friendly, service was slow
Very rude unprofessional people
Not that fast
