We had our new roof put on and it looks incredible! The crew was hard working, attentive to detail and very tidy. They covered all of our landscaping and moved our patio furniture to ensure there was nothing damaged. Although roofing can be a messy job, they were diligent about cleaning up as they worked. They thoroughly picked up at the end of each work day.
We were impressed by the product and the presentation. The price was reasonable, and the crew was great. The installers were always prompt, and extremely considerate of our property. They did a great job. We also received several calls from the company toEnsure things were going as promised.

The only thing I didn’t care for was the dumpster was in my driveway for a about a week after the job was done. The one number I called I had to give them the name and number on the dumpster

I called them for a quote on a project for my house. They came out pretty quickly. However he was supposed to email me the quote and never did. Needless to say they did not get my business due to lack of response. Would have been nice to.see the numbers broken down.

Deserves 0 star rating.Installation of 5 windows 3 yrs ago was total nightmare and the nightmare continues trying to get them to stand behind their so called lifetime warranty. They did a horrible job with outside contractor who didnt have a clue about window installation. Now trying to get them to come out and repair damage left( unnoticed until now) is like pulling teeth. The only thing Hansons will get done is to make life miserable for the homeowner. Avoid them at all cost!!!

Had 3 windows replaced about 10 years ago with a lifetime warranty. The first winter, I had some ice damage the aluminum they installed around the window. I have called for repair every year and have been told someone will be out within a week. Still not fixed.UPDATE: they called immediately after I posted this to get the problem fixed. Then, rescheduled twice ending with a no call no show.

Very poor customer service. Workers were smoking pot right outside my house befor they did my windows. My windows are not finished or even done correctly still have holes n gaps. If you have a problem they dont get back ahold of you and are very rude

My roof has been leaking I called on 2/19 talked to a lady she said kzoo had my file she would have someone from there call me guess what no one has called I called again and nothing very poor customer service. They got a hold of me on Sunday and everything is great they came out and went above and beyond
Overall, I was very pleased with the work that 1-800 HANSONS performed at my residence. I Had windows installed and it was done in one day! My only concern is that some people were choosing to not wear a mask before they came into my home. COVID is still a real thing. Those people were asked to put on a mask by myself and they happily did. I know it’s tough to do work with a mask on, but it’s still important to wear a mask to help stop the spread. I wasn’t constantly asking them to put on the mask, but it was concerning to me that people weren’t just automatically putting on a mask to do work on the inside of somebody else’s house. However, other than that one concern; the work was done professionally, the workers and supervisor knew exactly how to put the windows in, and they did go the extra step of making sure that the windows looked nice before they left.
Do NOT use these clowns. I am now waiting ANOTHER month and a half because the chimps that run this place have sent the wrong window 4 times, and every time they do, we have had to wait for the right one. Only these genius levels cant seem to figure out what that is. The last installer that came said he was late because they did the same exact thing to the guy before me. Save your time and your money, go to someone wh knows what they are doing, because its not Hansons.
Hansons did a wonderful job roofing my home. They were all professional, helped me get financing and the roof completion was ahead of schedule.The work area was left very clean and my plants were not damaged. Contacted Hanson’s regarding a leak and some other issues regarding our new roof well over a month ago. A representative came, recognized the issues and said a crew would be out the following week. A month later, three unreturned phone calls, Nothing. I am really upset with Hanson’s .Per your request I have emailed the information on two consecutive days and still no response. You seem like the only person at Hansons who will reply to me.
Our experience with seeking information about a roof and covered gutters began with our salesman, Andrew Ferris. Andrew arrived promptly, carefully followed Covid protocol, and surveyed our home to be sure that the photos we sent accurately represented the requirements for a new roof and covered gutters. Having owned a home with a roof by Hansons our expectations were high. Andrew thoroughly explained product options and provided the estimate for a roof. In addition to a future roof, our immediate priority was new covered gutters. It was clear from Andrew’s description of Hansons’ gutters, and how installation would be handled that we would be able achieve desired results. In addition to product options, our salesman described various payment options, as well as, the legal aspects of signing a contract. His transparency, knowledge of the product, and assessment of our homes’s needs gave us confidence in choosing to have Hansons install our new covered gutters.Our confidence was reinforced by Andrew following-up on the stages of our installations and an additional visit to be sure all was in order. We were reassured that Andrew took care to be precise with his work when Kevin, the worker who surveyed our job prior to the installation crew’s arrival, remarked that Andrew’s drawings and description exceeded what he usually received and made Kevin’s job much easier. The crew was very hard working and pleasant. They worked in unfavorable weather and easily 10 hours a day. I was asked each day about my satisfaction by multiple employees and it did seem that my satisfaction was of the utmost importance to each.

Six out of seven windows leak. I believe the only reason why the 7th window doesnt leak is because it is under a carport. Technicians have been out several times. Wood is warped and sills are damaged from the water. Still waiting for a fix which will probably entail replacements. Called Customer Service Manager Shantae twice and left messages but never received a call back.

Do NOT use this company. I cannot express this enough!!! It has taken them EIGHT months to start our siding project. E I G H T months. The biggest JOKE of a company. Un-reliable to the utmost degree. Call to say many times they are coming to finish, but dont show up on the same day. They finally get some help (migrants), who side OVER our dryer vent. Siding already coming off, and they are not even done with the house!!! Now go read their reviews on how well they follow up with warranty. They dont!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THERE IS NOT ONE THING THEY CAN DO, THATS EFFICIENT OR CLASS ACT. Shady as they get!!!!!!!!!!!!
After a somewhat rocky start during the quote phase of the project, Hansons really came through in the end. We were able to come to an agreement and get the 22 window project done. The install team from Grand Rapids (Stephan and Greg) were beyond fantastic and the windows look great! I highly recommend Hansons for windows replacements.
Repairing the falling down fachia, been on going for 5 months. 2 fix it dates no call no show. Now will not respond to my phone calls. Bad for business 😔

Install took a lot longer than expected. Quality seems great. Much better than what I had. One window did arrive broken, so still waiting on one window to be completely installed. We installed 20 windows and one sliding door. Took 11 days to install. 3 times the installers didnt show up when they said they would. Although we dont think they smoked in the house, it smelled very smokey.
We had Hansons out to replace our roof. Very pleased with the job and Florian who headed the crew.He explained everything thoroughly before starting. They worked straight through the day and cleaned up everything at the end.I would recommend them to anyone. Nice job.

Worst experience! Ordered door in April not installed until late September. Tons of promises not kept. Canceled on me after waiting 3 months to get an installation date. Said they canceled due to weather. It was a sunny day and even their own salesman said that. (I still have the text). Basically, they can cancel on you at any time due to weather and you cantt do a thing about it. Even if it is beautiful. I even called the salesman once and left a message for him. He did not return my call. However, when my husband called later that day, he answered the phone for him. I tried to cancel my contract (on a custom door) after they had over 18 weeks to install the door and did not. They wanted me to take a day off of work to install it after I had been off of work for the last 10 weeks and they could not get it done in that time. When I tried to cancel I was told I would be in breach of contract and I could either pay about 1800 off a 2355 bill or I could call the schedule department and get a date to have it installed. I agreed to call and try and get it installed. About a week later, I got a letter saying that the schedule was full and there were other jobs that had priority over mine. Salesman acted so friendly and kind before we signed but I really felt as though he preferred to work with my husband. Once we signed the contract he was of no help. I have lost several nights of sleep over a door.
Sales man was great really knows how to sell the products offered. After that radio silence. Both myself and my husband would call for updates and no one was helpful or just didn’t bother to answer the phone. We left several messages over several weeks and no one bother to call us back. When we did get a hold of someone we were informed they lost our biggest window and that they couldn’t install anything until all the windows were in. Customer service was non existent they were rude and uncaring when someone bothered to answer the phone. I won’t recommend them to my worst enemy
Wasnt even able to get past the appointment phone call. They want a spouse to be present. For what? Am I not capable of shaking a hand and getting a quote from a sales rep. after theyve done their job.Doesnt make sense. I dont care about whatever financing or gift card you have to offer. I was calling about gutter guards. Just send someone out on an agreed upon time.After reading the reviews I wont be using this company.
Would recommend Hanson s highly! From start finish very professional. Especially the installers, Greg and Stephan, coming all the way from Grand Rapids to save the day. Apparently my house is unique being a USA Steel home and they got the job done and my new windows look beautiful. Cant thank them enough for the excellent job!!!

Hanson installed a roof (top of the line before going to steel) and a slider along with 4 slider size windows. The were all courteous, polite and let us know if they were not going to be here or were late (very rare for contractors). The Superintendent, John R. came to our home twice when there were issues and he handled them to our satisfaction along with answering questions that came up. We are very pleased with them all - from the salesman to the installers. Oh! and about the installers. They were also very polite, hard working. No loud music or course talk. Very pleasant. It did take longer than originally expected, but not an issue. Thanks all of you at Hansons!

Never never never use 1-800-HANSONS! Portage, MI., or probably any other branch. To start, they overcharge. Always be home on the scheduled day of completion! Maybe all the other days too because they wont call for approval of design changes. My roof was not finished even close to what the salesman and I agreed upon. They did what they wanted regardless of what was discussed and they will absolutely fight you to the death to not have to come back and make it right. Installers were efficient and honest. Cant say the same about the company. If you complain they refer you to someone else and tell you to call him. Good luck with that. I dont recommend you use them, at all, ever.

Set an appointment online for getting some replacement windows installed for one of my rental houses. Their appointment scheduler did a follow up call to confirm, when talking with the gentleman he informed me that the salesperson had to have room in the house to bring a big sample display and talk about the options. Since there are people living in the house, I told him the salesperson could come inside to take measurements but not have a sit down meeting with the display. The scheduler told me that wasnt possible and to have a nice day.Moral of the story is, if you know what you want and dont want to deal with a big sales process, dont call Hansons.Edit, I did receive a call a day later and they rescheduled the appointment.

Just had a roof installed 10/03/2018. They lie and just take your money. Now I have major leaks. They promised I would never have to get on my roof again for leaks that was a lie. Call them you get a voicemail that all complaints have to be filed on line. Wow a $10,000 leak what a good con job. NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! do business with them.
Had every window in my house replaced. The big bay window was cracked, they said it would have to be replaced. They came out 3 times to look at it and nothing was ever done. When my wife left a review the CEO of Handsons supposedly called right away to say he would call her back on Monday to get it all taken care of. No call back! Now our bay window is pouring water on to the floor. Very Upset!!!Update: it has been little over another year, another 3 visits to the house. 3 more scheduled replacement dates and 3 more cancellations. Last visit was about 7 months ago and they actually took all the trim off my window followed by a cancelled replacement date. They have not reached out, they do not care. Sadly will be contacting a lawyer...

We got a quote and signed the paperwork, completed the financing and we got a call and said they couldnt do the job for what they quoted. They rescinded their contract ...the same Contract their representative signed.Evidently they do not back up what they offer! Find someone else that will honor their word and their contract,!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED! Not only was our customer service representative RUDE and uncaring or concerned that the 60x90 window in our living room just shattered for no apparent reason, but they didn’t didn’t send anyone out to us for 3 days!! What’s the point of a lifetime warranty if no one comes out to repair it??!UPDATE: After reaching out to Hanson’s for a 4th time, they are now saying they have no record of any of our 3 other service tickets, now do they have any record of us PERIOD. Meanwhile, our massive window which combusted and shattered in our living room has left us unsafe and with a gaping hole, exposed to the outside elements and a massive storm approaching the area. This is beyond awful and upsetting. Will be filing a claim with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU immediately.

After having an initial install date starting in June......... our 6 windows finally were installed after 3 cancellations, one of which reasons for canceling was because they “lost” the window, that was measured incorrectly twice and then tried to settle for a lesser price in which case I demanded the job be finished. Communication throughout this company is absolutely horrid. The VP of Customer relations Marv Glazer spoke to my wife like she was a child even though they require the spouse to be present when the estimate/sales pitch is given. Finally after some time and discounts given in October the job was finally finished. Wouldn’t recommend 1800Hansons to my worst enemy, no home improvement job should be this frustrating for a mere 6 windows. I wouldn’t even rate them 1 star but it’s the only way they let you leave a review!
Sale person was excellent. The roofers put tore shingles on roof and did not seal sky lights. Poor customer service with customers. I would never recommend them or even buy anything from them again. I have heard every excuse on earth why the job isn’t getting done.
I was relieved to have the installers do such a great job because the office staff needs help on dealing with customer. Greg and Stephan are great at taking care of the house and take pride in there work.

Door to door salesperson walked through our front yard and approached my husband. The salesperson kept talking with him. One minute after my husband came inside his phone rang and a very aggressive women raised her voice and told my husband she needed a decision right now about work on our house. Based on this experience we will never use Hansons. Hansons please train your staff to be more respectful and professional.
If I could give zero stars I would. All they care about is getting you to sign the check, and then they could not care less about you after that. For how much money we spent on this project, I am extremely disappointed in the service I have received and do not plan to recommend them in the future.Heres what happened:The day after my window install, one of my brand new window panes was cracked. After finally getting a hold of the service department, they said this happens all the time (fine) and they would order a replacement, which should arrive in 6 to 8 weeks. Fast forward to 3 months later with still no replacement and they didnt call or email me until I submitted a complaint to the department about how long it was taking. Conveniently, they found my order the day I called and came out to replace it. The day after the window was replaced, it cracked AGAIN. I submitted a service request online and received a confirmation email, but it has been 8 weeks since and no one has ever called or responded to any of my messages that apparently went into the abyss about when my window will be replaced for the second time in 6 months.

Horrible experience. They start off saying it’s one price then change it to another which is drastically more expensive. Then the companies they use for financing are some 3rd string bums. Definitely recommend looking into multiple companies before signing anything as they try to lock you in with cancellation dates before they even send you the official quote.
Lied about how long it would take. Workers where very unprofessional. Left water bottles in chimney and cedar shake in vent pipe. Had to call Plummer. Left large gaps in deck boards and would have covered it up had I not said anything. Took more breaks than worked and left butts in road where they smoked.
Getting windows through Hansons had its ups and downs. We got someone walking through our neighborhood looking for customers, and they got us set up with an appointment easily and had confirmation within 30 minutes. Once the day of our appointment came the salesman went through all the normal stuff. I wanted to think about it, and Hansons sales team are reluctant to email out the quotes even when asked. I waited for a few weeks before receiving my quote, and it took a call from me to get one. Apparently he entered into my email address into the system wrong even though he asked me to write it down so it would be correct. I asked what they had in the system originally, and it was NO WHERE CLOSE!Once I decided to proceed with the sale, the salesman came back out for some final paperwork and the final measurements were taken shortly thereafter. I was called about a month after this to set up an install date which was to take place about two weeks from that phone call. All of the process up to this point seemed very smooth without any hiccups until there were issues.Unfortunately, I had to cancel the initial install. Getting a hold of someone was a nightmare. I called numerous times to different extensions only to be left waiting or to leave a voicemail. If I did leave a voicemail it would be hours until they would return the call. This happened numerous times as the second install date was cancelled due to weather. I get that. No one wants to have their home open during inclement weather. However, the communication problems then persisted with more voicemails and missed calls. It took two days before someone finally got a hold of me to set up the third install attempt. Finally, once the day of the third installation try came, I again was the one to call the day before to get information. I was told that the installation was still a go unless bad weather happened.The morning of the installation came, and I was contacted by Hansons office to let me know about payment and that the contractors were to be there at 10AM (right in the middle of their 9-11 window). They were late but still in the window. Once there the contractors were actually very good and even with a few issues in the home (older homes have issues) they handled it quite well and got the windows installed. They ran through the operation stuff and cleaned up quickly and for it being only 35 degrees outside they didnt leave my home open too long which I appreciated.The moral to this long review is the part of the company that deals with scheduling and service is the weak link in my mind. The strongest part seems to be the independent contractors who install the windows. If you can deal with the communication issues and hopefully never need to reschedule, then for the money, Hansons will serve you very well. It isnt perfect, but as I have found few companies are. Hopefully, they will try to improve that part of their service.

Hansonss has very poor time management skills. They consistently moved back the dates of completion of my roof. Causing me to spend more money on having my bank appraise the house I was buying which also, pushed back my closing date more than once. They did not have good communication, hence they lacked in updating me as to why they were not completed on time. It took them over two weeks to complete the roof, when it should have been only a few days. I would not recommend using them if you want anything done on time.

Signed the contract someone came the next day and then i never heard from them again. This was in april ive called several times and got no call back or an answer. My home insurance was cancelled because of this so thanks for not doing your job. At all. Do not waste your time.

This is the worst company ever! They do not return your calls, show up at your house randomly without a call and start measuring your doors outside if you are sleeping and do not answer the door for an unscheduled appt, The sliding glass door we ordered was to be two panels, we had a 8 foot 1 inch door with a 44 inch door opening. The installed a triple panel door with a 23 inch opening. This is not even code for an outside door opening! What legitimate company makes a door that small and not up to code. We were not asked if we wanted three panel door with opening in the middle; there was no communication! They offered to remake the door and 6 weeks later came with a door that had a dark tint and was 5 inches smaller. I want light! I asked for my old Pella door back as it was much better quality. The one lock fell off the next day and they forgot to install the foot lock and screen door lock. I went 2 1/2 months before the locks were finally installed. I had to put a piece of wood in the slider for safety!! Cheap sliding doors and the worst service ever!!

My husband is in the military. They refused to even give us an estimate because they need to spend an hour trying to up sell us on extras to jack up the price and if they cant meet us in person to do this then they dont want our business. They knew we lived out of state because of my husbands military service and couldnt be there. I had the manager explain why they couldnt give an estimate. Sounded like they do sales like they are Kirby vacuum sales instead of a reputable roofing company. If you are in the military dont bother contacting them. They have very anti-military policies. Dont waste your time trying to even get an estate from them.
