After experiencing hail damage to our roof and siding in April, we called Advantage Roofing & Exteriors because we had used them a few years prior to do some work for us. They came to look at our roof, never even got up there. Greg eyeballed it from the ground, and gave us a verbal quote, then never sent us the actual quote. I called Mark his boss and got no response. So, even if they offered to do our roof for free, I wouldnt want their company to touch our, Roof! If I could give negative stars I would! Dont bother calling this company, they wont follow through anyway!

Requested estimate for roof replacement. Sales guy showed up for measurement, 3 weeks later still no quote. He was more interested in talking about himself and talking to other contractors which showed up at the same time, not to mention bad mouthing other companies with quotes he couldn’t compete with. Overall terrible experience

Advantage came out to inspect our roof, said we needed a new one and he would put together a quote. Never heard back from them. I guess they don’t need any new business. Spent my money on a new roof from someone else. I wonder if the owner knows or cares that his salespeople ignore people who are waving money at them?

Had hail damage to my roof, the sales person sent a garbage report to my insurance company with wrong measurements and was way over priced. When asked to come back a get correct measurements they said they were “too busy” and never called me back.. very poor customer service and unprofessional. 100% would recommend another roofing/siding company.

They ran into some unexpected problems with my roof. The crew I had was so good. They repaired everything. When they were done it was better than I ever expected. It was a raised roof that was not to code, they really went above and beyond to repair, and make my roof safe. Recommend them for all your needs

Mark L. arrived at my house almost two months ago to provide a quote for roof replacement after hail storm damage. As of today I have received nothing. I called Mark a few times over the course of several weeks ( I was more than patient), and after several false promises from him... still nothing. I also spoke with Jason (Marks manager?), who seemed very knowledgeable, however when I called to follow-up with Jason directly, they put me through to Mark. After another false promise a week or so ago, I am done wasting my time with such an unresponsive company.

Jason was excellent, as was his crew. They removed a leaking roof, installed rain gutters, and came back and made adjustments. They also installed beautiful windows at a cost comparable to the cost Pella offered.

I am unable to comment on a review from the owner follow up, but question the ethics and integrity behind this company. It’s from my own personal experience that from a professional business standpoint issues aren’t truly resolved but rather just smoothed over on here to sound “resolved”. The integrity is not there and safety during this pandemic didn’t seem to be relevant or a concern.

My house was hit during a hailstorm. I was devastated at the amount of damage. But Matt Ritchie found the best way to solve this problem. I got a new roof gutters and gutter guards. Now my house looks better than its ever look before. Thanks Matt for all your hard work.

WARNING!!! This company and Mr. Matt Richie are some of the most unprofessional people I’ve ever had the displeasure of even talking too. Texts at 2am from intoxicated Richie and lies after lies. I’m a contractor myself and since I didn’t have time to do the job I called this company. Major mistake which will never happen again. I wouldn’t recommend this company if they were the last people in Kalamazoo.UPDATE!!! Your company never tried to accommodate anything I took my business elsewhere because you and your staff wouldn’t return my phone calls and when I finally spoke to your salesman he threatened me! Then you try to “sugar coat” my review and others. I’ll be following through with the BBB and the police report and we will resolve the issue in a public fashion.

November 7th, 1012: We chose Advantage to restore our two cottages with new siding and roofing after a bad storm. I recently had a patio door installed and found out Advantage skipped a step when completing the contracted work. They did not use any house wrap or flash over the windows on a framed part of the porch. This caused water damage on the bottom portion of the porch. This is a clear breech of the contract we signed. It specifically stated the house would be wrapped to protect it from moisture. I called and talked to one of the associates at the company more than two weeks ago to voice the breech and no response. This is poor negligent behavior and unacceptable.

One year after siding install, a small piece came loose. I informed the company and they came out the same day. This company actually cares and stands behind their product and installs. Highly recommend them to anyone. Priced competitively.

I called upon Jesse for an estimate on my Battle Creek roof. I was VERY happy that he followed through AND in a timely manner! (I had called about 25 CertainTeed certified companies from the CertainTeed website and had very little luck for many different reasons: they didnt service the area, they were 1.5 months out just for an estimate, no answers, no call backs, etc!) Jesse was very professional and pleasant to work with over the phone & in emails. After receiving our estimates, my husband and I did decide on another company for our own personal reasons. Therfore, this is where my review ends. I can not say anything on the companys workmanship, morals, etc.

Low quality work. A lot of their workers are rude and don’t know what they are doing. I see their drivers drive down the road in work trucks all crazy and think they can get away with it. If your looking for quality work lysters does amazing work along with TMC exteriors

My mother is a pillar of the community. She called her friend, the former owner of the castle and was given the name ADvantage roofing and more specifically to call Jesse. I did. He came out, looked over our roof, told us he would have a quote to me by the next morning and I never heard from him again. Highly unprofessional by any standards. Im not sure why he refused to call back even after I had called again to check in but I can only assume he profiled me as Poor so not worth the effort. Im 66, on a fixed income and cannot afford a new roof at this time. He never returned my phone call nor informed me as to why. I would NOT do business with them on a bet and I can only hope others understand that kind of lack of customer care is a symptom of a larger, more pervasive problem. Dont bother calling them unless you have lots of money. They dont care. Oh, one of the reviews you may read is from Jesse. It says AR Awesome. He is the one who failed to get back to me.Its summer now and I just wanted to add that I am finally replacing my roof. I have chosen another company in the area because when I needed help, they took care of me and Jesse couldnt have cared less which he made obvious.Thank you jesse for letting me know ahead of time how unprofessional your company is. I am pleased with the company I chose and they have always been open and honest with me. And THEY understood.

Cant rate..waiting for estimate

At first everything was great Greg came out measured the roof and helped get me approved for financing but then I talked to him about the color of facia I wanted and a window I wanted replaced also some other small things I was specific on he acted like he understood then they started the work they did not replace a window that was specified the facia was suppose to be green and they put tan on it when they put siding on they hit an electrical wire which caused lights to blow breakers which I understand they can’t see but when it was brought up they acted like it was not there problem. When Greg walked the roof he didn’t think any wood needed replaced but the needed ten sheets which I also understand that you can’t tell until the old roof is off but after they supposedly finished the job there was a small square of siding that didn’t get done which I specified and was on the proposal as well as the bathroom window didn’t get done like on the proposal on top of the facia being tan not green which was also specified and having to re-wire my outdoor lights they hit also. When I brought it up to Greg he said he had to look into it and then emailed me a change order saying his boss asked him to get it signed supposedly for the wood they used which I signed one already for he admitted they used more material than he figured in which I don’t see how it’s my problem he miss judged oh also the change order was not for time and material it says pre determined amount of $1800.00 I told him I was not signing it until the work on the proposal was done like I asked and have not heard a word from him nor have they finished the work. They started 2weeks after they stated they would and my $17,000.00 project turned into $20,000.00 I would highly recommend using lysters they are more expensive but there crews know what they are doing and don’t bs you that’s who I should have used in the first place.
