VanDam & Krusinga did a wonderful job! They were here every day at 7:00 am. Very polite and always kept me informed of the progress. Cleaned up each day they were done and once the job was completed, they made sure I was happy with the end result and that nothing was missed. I will definitely call them again for my next project! We were very pleased with the hard work that was put in by each of teams who helped us recover from our fire loss. Some teams were truly mastercraftsmen at their job. The painters, roofers, and floor and carpet installation teams were great. Two teams created true artistry through their efforts. The team from Sacketts Fireplace who installed the stone façade, the mantle, and the hearth were extremely impressive with their skills. Thank you Kyle and Bill. The carpenters became like members of the family. Drew and Randy were phenomenal. The ceiling under the loft and catwalk was time consuming and very precise. The cabinetry around the fireplace and in the nook are masterpieces They dedicated a great amount of time to make sure the job was perfect. Drew became our in touch person, letting us know when another teams would be coming. He and Randy were a perfect match for our home. Thank you all!!

When we unexpectedly had a problem with water leaking from our A/C unit, we immediately called VanDam & Krusinga to come out during the emergency given the great reputation they have in the community. Given that I have a mold allergy, we were eager to get things cleaned up. And, even though it was very late at night, dispatch was friendly and we received 3 calls PRIOR to anyone even arriving on site just to update us on the status of their location and that they were on their way! It got even better when the techs arrived and they were women! They did a very through job and were kind, compassionate, and very communicative; coming back out daily to test the moisture status (even on a holiday weekend)! The owner of the company also took a special interest in ensuring the quality of the service. Given the quality of service we received, the diversity of their staff, and the level of communication that kept us constantly informed about what we should do, when techs would be out next, and what any prognosis was AMAZING! We will NEVER use anyone else but VanDam & Krusinga for anything related ever again! So glad to have such a quality, family-owned business that we know we can call any time and rely on!

VDK was hired after two other companies screwed up my house so bad that my kitchen and 3 bathrooms needed to be redone. Joel is an extremely detailed project manager and is available and communicates anytime I have a question or concern. Mike and Moses have done very professional and high quality work. I wish I would have hired them the first time around.

They were fantastic from day one of having water damage to building a new and beautiful bathroom. Everyone was professional and the service was outstanding! I would give them more than five stars!

Very responsive- arrived onsite to begin damage mitigation within an hour of calling. Coordinated with contractors and insurance company and made the process relatively easy for me. We had a leak in our upstairs bathroom. They came out and looked at it within a few days of contacting them. It did take a bit to get on their schedule as ours was non-emergent (had a couple other bathrooms). However, once we had a start date it was full-steam ahead. The guys were super professional and had all of the installers scheduled like a swiss watch. The only draw-back is the painters wont be in for a few weeks as they were booked solid, but this wasnt Vandam and Kruzingas fault and they did everything within their power to make sure we werent without the bathroom as much as possible. Truly a great company to work with and Im already planning my next project :) 100% would recommend.

Very friendly nice staff

We had a representative come over to our house and inspect our attic. He told us within 3 days we would have an estimate in our email. No response! I contacted the rep by phone. He said again I would have the estimate within a couple of days he got really busy with work. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. After another week had gone by still no response from him. So I called again. Asked him if he wanted the work he said yes and apologized for not getting back. So again for the third week no response. I then talked to the person that answers the phone and told her to cancel my estimate. I feel I guess the company doesnt need the work or money. We would not recommend this company for any kind of work!

Readers should be cautious of strongly negative reviews for they are too often written by competitors. You can always ask the company for a list of references to call yourself. My own experience with VanDam & Krusinga could not have been better. I had a water leak from a frig line occur when I was out of town. I came home to a mess and the news that my entire floor could not be saved. These things never happen when you are prepared and VD&K came in with quick estimates. Any question was answered and every worker at every phase was terrific and extremely professional. They all had a consider it done attitude, took no shortcuts and were a delight to have in my home. I would call them today for advice and, Im sure, get the same reception. I would highly recommend this company for any work you are considering. Please be sure to take the extra step and contact the real people for whom theyve worked before making your decison. I bet youll find that all reveiws are outstanding.

Very disappointed. We had to keep calling to set up the appt. after insurance gave the approval thru them. We did all kinds of work and they still tried to charge us for it. Extra cost added in all over even after we had a talk with them for the second time.

When we started our first season in 2014, we had numerous projects to complete at Homer Stryker Field to get it back up in shape. After speaking with numerous contractors and being a little overwhelmed with the process we received a referral to VanDam and Krusinga. After one meeting with Dan and Jason Scheffers, we knew we were dealing with honest, community-minded individuals who understood our project needs and how to accomplish them.Since then, VanDam and Krusinga has been our first call contractor for all projects at the ballpark. Theyve constructed each phase of our new Home Plate Club, new stairs in right and left field, and a handful of other projects around the ballpark. Their crews are great to work with, theyre work is fantastic, and Ive never met a group more willing to go above and beyond for their client.

We hired Van Dam and Kruisenga based off our insurance company’s recommendation to fix a water leak that damaged our hardwood floors. Upon having the estimator from Van Dam & Kruisenga come to look at the damage, we were very impressed with the level of detail he went into to make us feel confident that every piece that needed to be fixed or be paid attention was addressed. Their estimate came in $1600 over the insurance company’s quote, but was approved based on the level of detail that was provided. Everything at this point seemed to be going well. We made the appointment to have the work done and were confident that at this point we made the right decision when it came to a contractor.Unfortunately, as the process progressed, we found out that we were very wrong. After being out of our house for five days to have the work completed, we returned to find that the majority of the work that was included in the Van Dam quote that was over and above what the insurance company initially specified had not been completed. We addressed this with the original estimator that came out from Van Dam and were told that there were minimums in the software that had to be charged regardless of how much work was done. We asked for a revised itemized bill that we never received and were told that if we wanted to play this game they would reshuffle charges into different line items and the total would remain the same. We feel like that comment was unethical, unprofessional and inappropriate to say to a customer. We wanted to pay for the work that was done and would be happy to return the outstanding funds to State Farm where they would belong if that is what needed to be done. We were looking for transparency in this transaction and unfortunately felt like insurance fraud was committed.In addition to this, Van Dam and the floor refinisher came back to our house two other times to fix the floor. Once to smooth out edges that actually produced injury and the other time to refinish an area where a dolly that was used to move our refrigerator marred the finish. Their negligence in repair was not appreciated as we had a mobile toddler in our home. We also ended up getting a visit from Van Dam’s General Manager who did absolutely nothing except come to our home and make sure that we knew that we had his attention. He offered to send us a gift card for dinner that wasn’t necessary, but we never saw it either.All in all, I would never recommend this company to do any repairs in your home as they do not do the quality job that is promised and act in a most unprofessional manner.

In November 2014 a larget old pine tree fell on my house and garage damaging all 3 floors of my house and nearly destroying my oversized two car garage. My Insurance company USAA responded immediately and within 30 minutes had a crew removing the tree from my house and garage and putting a temporary patch on the house.At that point I chose VanDam & Krusinga Building and Restoration Company to do the work because my son had a tree fall on his house the prior year and they had done his work and he was very happy with them.It has been 10 months since that day the tree fell and my house and garage have been 100% restored. I can tell you that between my USAA Insurance and VanDam & Krusinga Building and Restoration Company they made this process trouble free, efficient, painless and the work has been superior. Joel and Nate from VanDam & Krusinga have been the leaders in this effort and I can not stress enough how kind, professional and customer oriented they have been. I not only feel they were business associates doing a job during this process but i feel i made a couple friends along the way and would go out of my way to help them if i could. Their Honestly, Sincereity, Kindness and Professionalism is the best i have ever seen among the thousands of people i have worked with in my life.I strongly recommend VanDam & Krusinga Building and Restoration Company to you if you have to recover from a building disaster as i have.
