I worked with Alan for several weeks trying to trouble shoot and repair an old gaming laptop. Mostly for nostalgia. Absolutely charming gentleman helped me with a quick mechanical error with my relatively outdated laptop at no cost. This shop was great!I appreciated their up-front estimate charges/no surprises on repairs. The repairs were done according to estimate & it worked well when I got it home. My other item I was told wasnt worth fixing & explained why to me & I agreed! I trust their judgement & glad I took their advice. My repair was well done & Ill use them again.It was a breath of fresh air after my LAST experience!...A disappearing into the back room w/ my device, & after 5 min I peaked in on him & he was just sitting there playing on his phone. I said I had to go... Id just wanted an estimate... he told me it was too complicated & Id have to leave it...I took it & left & low&behold it was fixed... hed fixed it in a couple minutes but wanted me to leave it so he could charge me whatever?!?!Dont leave ur item w/ any shop who takes ur device into their back room w/o a price or telling u exactly what theyre going to do w/ it.Make them look@it while ur right there showing him what u want him to fix!Geek Computers did everything in front of me where I could c & explain what I needed to tell & show him...no disappearing in the back room! I’ve had 3 major computer issues and an install I wanted taken care of in a professional manner. These guys are awesome. I tell everyone I know about them and plan on taking my brother computer there for it’s issues. Worth any drive you may have to take. I can not recommend these guys enough.

I highly recommend Geek Easy! Im not normally a reviewer, but they provided such excellent service I felt obliged, I went to this shop to have my very old mac book looked at- it was running super slow and over heating. Alan shot me straight and rather than taking an additional $25 from me to fix the issue, he recommended I just invest in something newer (which I kinda assumed was the case) He went over specs with me, told me reputable places to find a used laptop and even took a minute to talk with me about different models I was comparing a few days later. I still had a $50 deposit with them, so he recommended I bring the new computer in and hed help me transfer over all my data from the old one and set up my external hard drive for me so I didnt feel like I wasted $50.Ill definitely bring my new computer in to them if I have an issues in the future!

This company is awesome, they fixed my Mac problems and went way out of there way to help me as well. I would highly recommend using there service, you wont regret it.Just another think to know, they also stand behind their work, as I took my computer back to them with another issue and they fixed it no charge and said it might have been caused by the work they did the first time. WOW, I had no way to know that so they could have charged me, talk about being honest.

Had them work on a PC of mine a long time ago. They were honest and speedy in their work. Id keep them in your back pocket like a good auto mechanic or a family member thats a lawyer...someone you can trust and keep on your shortlist should you need work done.Bottom line: Id have them do work for my grandparents!

This place is awesome. Apple told me they couldn’t replace my trackpad after it stopped working due to “water damage”, I think they just wanted me to get a new computer. But geek easy fixed it in a little over a week due to shipping delays, but I’m super satisfied and excited to not have to use a mouse any longer! Highly recommend

Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My 6 year old, custom built Window/PC gaming/editing rig died last fall. I dropped it off with these guys after a conversation or two. Even after I sourced some components, they had it back to me in less than a week. Very fair pricing, and very fast, they took care of me. Seemed like quality workmanship- but wanted to give it time before rating/reviewing. Several months later- everything is still golden and most components are the same I installed 6 years ago. If I ever have any problems with my PCs, I will be bringing them here. Definitely recommend for quality repairs or builds.

Weve been using Geek Easy Computers for the past 5 years. Not only have they done tune-ups on our desktop computer, but weve also purchased equipment. This includes WiFi router, wireless mouse + keyboard, and backup hard drive. Geek Easy was able to install a new hard drive on our desktop computer, saving us the cost and hassle of having to buy a new computer. I had a brand new computer wiped of everything Microsoft and Windows in exchange for Linux Mint. Nate put information on how to use Linux on the opening page and set me up with shortcuts to make the transition as easy for me as it could possibly be. These are great individuals who never talked to me on a higher level than I could understand, and when it comes to technology I am a novice. It is refreshing to find someone trustworthy with excellent service.

I recommend Geek Easy Computers for all your fixing needs. I thought my drivers were bad, but upon further inspection it seems my hard drive was fried. Geek Easy got back to me in record time (48 hours) and had a full list of prices/recommendations for a new hard drive that was compatible with my laptop. Within a week, my laptop went from junk to hunk due to the diligence of Geek Easy and the supportive staff. Without Silvano I would have been up a creek! These guys (and ladies) are fast, cheaper, and more professional then other places that have Geek in the title.

Service can sometimes be a bit short sounding on the phone, but theyve always resolved my issues.I wouldnt go so far as to say the shortness Ive revived on the phone was rude, just perhaps more matter of fact and down to business when Im going off track.Thanks for always helping me out.

One thing after another has gone wrong with my poor computer and they have been VERY helpful. They actually listened to me as I explained the issue which was nice. They have also been very patient as I got money together to pay for the repairs.

My laptop died, and I wanted to support local businesses (instead of the repair shop at the big box store). The folks at Geek Easy were professional. They explained old laptop wasnt worth repairing, but they transferred all data from its hard drive to an external drive (which I provided)--and did diagnosis and data transfer all for the $50 repair deposit (a diagnosis fee, which is applied to any repairs). I highly recommend Geek Easy

I chose Geek Easy from its reviews and because it was not Best Buy. I had a 6-year old laptop with several issues. They provided a prompt and thorough assessment, good recommendations, and finally prompt repair. I will definitely go back to Geek Easy for my future technology support (which are many). Parking is a bit undefined, but you can part on the east side of Church Street between the loading zone signs and even in GAs loading zone if needed.

Whoa! So great! My Mac was running way hot they replaced the heat sync and were going to replace the battery without the extra fee since they would already have it open for the heat sync. My phone died and they canceled the battery order for budget issues even though they originally asked for me to pay for the battery before hand. Guy at the desk wants to marry time machine though 😜

I just want to commend the Geek Easy staff. They are always personable. Their fees reasonable. I was especially pleased with the service I received today over the phone. I did not even have to bring my Canon PIXMA MP210 printer in. Pete helped me solve over the phone & by email the problem I was having with it. Yesterday, after checking with another local repair facility, then online, then with the manufacturer (which only told me I had to send it up to Grand Rapids to the Canon authorized service center) & several hours of trying on my own, today with Petes instruction I was able to clear the error message on my printer and thereby avoid shut down of my printer. I should have contacted Geek Easy first!!

These guys are great! had my whole small business on my computer and after a huge storm it would not boot up and was making crazy noises. Alex and his guys totally hooked me up, turned out it was the mother board, couple days later they replaced it with a used one and the machine is just like it was before, didnt lose a thing!! price was very good. I asked over the internet if they fixed ipads or tablets and they said no i mean if it says your a computer store than shouldnt you also be willing 2 fix ipad thats why i only give you 1 star

I had been given an estimate from another company of upwards of $200 to get my computer working properly. After taking it to Geek Easy, I was given a much lower estimate, and told that the $36 for looking at it would be deducted from the final cost. In short my bill was $75 which included a virus protector! They had my computer back to me in two days. Needless to say, they will get my business the next time.

I recently worked with Geek Easy for some on-site network/computer assistance in South Haven, Michigan. After some scheduling confusion (on our side), Nate showed up on time and ready to tackle issues we had with our network and printers.Nate had to deal with my disembodied voice calling from Minnesota, as I help support a family members small business from afar. Nate had great communication and technical skills and kept a calm demeanor the entire time.They normally dont work on-site so far away from Kalamazoo, but they worked out some appropriate pricing to accommodate us. I never received a sorry, sir, we cant do that but instead was given options. Payment was completed same day with no hassle.Kudos to Geek-Easy, especially if you need a solution for something a little off the beaten path from your typical virus-infected laptops.

I recommend that you work on your customer service. The majority of people arent computer wizards, so I am sorry if you hear the same kinds of questions everyday. When I described my problem and asked the gentleman on the phone if he had ever heard anything like this or had any ideas of what could be wrong, his response was something like, You wouldnt go to the doctor and just say that your head hurts and expect them to know why. Sure thing dude. I am sure they are great at what they do; dozens of Google and Facebook reviews claim so ... but I will go somewhere else.

Despite my rating, Geek Easy will remain my #1 choice for local computer repair. Earlier this year my PC died. I saw how highly rated Geek Easy is and came to them in a bit of a panic. They were extremely helpful in identifying and fixing my issue. Prices were fair, people were nice and knowledgeable, and I loved their system that let me monitor their updates in real time on a website.The only reason this isnt a 5 star review is a bit of a snafu with a motherboard replacement. I ordered a new motherboard off Newegg and handed it to Geek Easy in the box as it arrived to me. It was the wrong type sadly (my fault), but they also told me it was faulty and wouldnt boot even with the right setup. So I took it back and filed a return with Newegg, stating it arrived faulty. Still not having touched the motherboard once as I dont know anything about computer internals, I mailed it back. Only to have my return denied because of damage to the motherboard. They stated the pins were damaged, which could only be caused by a mistake when installing it. And I didnt even know where the pins were.It took me over a month of being juggled, dropped, ignored, and lied to by the Newegg customer service team to ultimately be told that no I wouldnt be getting my $150 return back because the damage was my fault so I was liable. I spent time with Geek Easy on the phone to try and figure out how that happened. But they seemed only reasonably sure that they didnt do it, as the tech responsible for installing the motherboard no longer worked for them. While I am more inclined to believe the good people at Geek Easy when they say they probably didnt damage the part (considering how expertly they fixed my PC), it was still a massive amount of hassle, stress, finger pointing, and confusion all to be down $150 on top of the cost of the full repair and replacement parts.And while I dont know if it was a shady scam artist of a seller through Newegg selling off broken parts as new or the mistake of a former tech that cost me my money, Geek Easy will still be my go-to repair place if things die again.

If you have any problems with laptops, phones, computer, any tech problems at all; go here!!!They charge $50 straight up for the initial assessment for pretty much any problem, then after they identify the problem which at the latest will take 3 days, they will tell you your options amd the costs, with the initial $50 going towards whatever the cost is. For me, my laptops hardrive was failing so they assessed it in 2 days and then told me I could either get a new hard drive installed for $227 or do a data recovery with a new harddrive for about $350. At forst I thought this was expensive but after checking what other places would do, this place actually charges about $100-300 less than anywhere else. I got my laptop back within a week and then when I got there they told me they took a look at the failing harddrive and got it to work and got 99% of the data off of it, no extra charge. So I was ecstatic that they did that for me and they gave me the original hard drive, thinking that I would have to transfer over the data myself. I got home and opened up my laptop and was absolutely thrilled and surprised to see that they already transfered my data over for me! They even put the two documents that they knew I was worries most about front and center on the home screen. So I got a new hard drive amd a data recovery for a total of $227 when anywhere else I would have paid around $400.Amazing customer service, they work super fast, super friendly, and they are experts at what they do. This place is the absolute best. Go here even if you dont have a tech problem :)
