I was super nervous about having to come in this morning as a woman, without my husband. I was afraid of being charged for a bunch of things that I knew nothing aboutit all my lights started going off this morning and I had to bring it somewhere. They got me in right away, put me at ease and completely looked over the vehicle. Just moved to the area and finding a new auto repair place always bites so Im glad I found the place to bring our vehicles.

The staff at Downtown Lube were very courteous. They got my vehicle in and were able to have me serviced and on my way quickly. They explained their process and were very professional.

These guys are great! Always quick and friendly service. My car is an older car and they treat it like it was brand new every time! They have very convenient hours that make it easy to pop in get the oil change while sipping my morning coffee and then on to work! Thanks guys!

Oil changed & headlight fixed so fast!

I came here for a vehicle inspection to obtain plates. I was greeted right away and they took my car right back. The fee is 12.00. The restrooms were clean and there was a pleasant smell in the waiting area. The experience was great.

Been going to this business 30 years and was happy until I was verbally accosted on November 9th 2020 by a technician because I wouldnt go inside with the non-msdk wearers. It wasnt political, my sister cancer and receiving chemotherapy. I WILL NEVER RETURN!

Ive been going to Downtown Lube for over 20 years. The mechanics and owner are very friendly. They are thorough with the work that they do. Id recommend them to anyone.

I have been going to them for a couple of years for oil changes then needed new brakes and they were so honest and did not try to take advantage as I am a single woman and that happens far too often. I have been very happy with their work and the customer service is outstanding. I recommend them to friends and family all the time.

They were very nice and helpful. Not only did they do my oil change in five minutes but they also put my license plate my new place is Not only did they do my oil change in five minutes but they also put my new license plate on for me that I was unable to do on my own because the screw was stripped with no extra charge. I will be coming back.

I thought the inflated price was the problem, then I got to hear a old bald guy make fun of me saying the price was too high. $190 to change transmission fluid and filter! $45 for the parts, $145 labor on a 30 minute job, at most. Not professional in the treatment of a customer, bending over the customer with a outrageous price, sounds like a place to avoid. Got the same service done at a different place for $79.99!

They would of gotten no stars if they would of allowed me. NOTHING BUT FEMALE DISCRIMINATION. Went in for an inspection to get tags. After telling them that Ive been the only one working on my vehicle for 7 yrs the come back and tell me that my brake fluid is low and my third brake light is out but my other 2 normal ones are good. I would of figured the deputy of Carterville would of let me know that when I got pulled over on Tuesday Sep 11 that it was out. That they have to replace before they can pass it. It is no where in the missouri inspection checklist. They didnt even do more than half the stuff they were suppose to on this missouri check list. I can see some what of the rear brake but they had absolutely no reason the be checking by brake fluid. The site wont let me post the required checklist for a proper inspection.

Unlike most places in town are a pain but I was able to get in quickly no appointment needed and over all a clean and a decent shop they handled everything fast and I was out the door and they where a few dollars cheaper than every one I have gone to.
