Rick is a stand up guy. I bought a car from him and the vehicle had engine issues the next day. After calling him and explaining the situation he had the car towed back to his shop at his expense to fix the vehicle. He told me it was the right thing to do. He is an honest, kind person. Nixons garage will have all my future business.

I came into the shop at 5.30 pm on a Friday night and the guys were super nice and did my state inspection. I was done in 20 minutes.

Well Im not very impressed what so ever with these people. They had our vehicle for almost two months, then charged us a lot of money to fix the problem yet, the problem is still there. Ya I would not recommend these guys to knowbody. Unless you need a vehicle towed...

Had an illegal impound by Police Dept. I think these people shouldve investigated for me a little more before taking my car. I lost my car due to them wanting to store my car because of faulty communication.

Hometown Service!There are very few places in our day that put the customers first over the almighty dollar.We began our journey with Nixon’s a few weeks ago when we purchased a used car from Mr. Nixon. We appreciated his honesty and he was great to work with.During conversation we began talking about another vehicle we have that needed repairs. He threw us out an estimate which included coming to pick it up. We agree to proceed and he was here that night to pick it up.Not only has he been fantastic to work with but he was very honest about finding that what we thought was wrong wasn’t the issue and the final repair bill was much much cheaper. So many of other not so honest people would have easily taken advantage of the situation.We live around 45+ minutes away and we will gladly drive to Joplin to continue working with Mr. Nixon and his crew.

Took sons truck in for a simple steering diagnosis and ended up with them going over the whole truck giving us a book of what needed done. Not why we were their we told them exactly what our issue was and what we wanted looked at.

Quality service and diligent in completing even if they have to extend the workday. Only knock is they gave an estimated arrival of a tow for an hour and after an additional call it ended up being nearly 2 hours.

Excellent service! My alternator went out and Rick came to tow me and arrived within 20 minutes as stated. Rick and his mechanic both stayed an hour late just to make sure I got back on the road since I live an hour away from Joplin. Went to eat while they worked on my car, margaritas within walking distance. Rick kept us entertained. Price was exactly what I was told on the phone.

I Had to replace front suspension on my truck which required an alignment. These guys got me in and set things straight. Lol. Professional and helpful. Highly recommend there services.

I came to Nixons because my best friend recommended them to me because of his good experience, I needed some routine maintenance, they handled it quickly and professionally and for a fair price. Ive heard nothing but good things about this shop and would recommend them for any of your auto maintenance needs.

Nov. 2018: I was very pleased with my experience here. I needed a safety inspection and I was in and out very quickly. Id come back if I needed more substantial work performed in the future.Edit July 2019: Still very pleased with this company. My insurance provider used Nixons Towing when my vehicle wouldnt start. Very professional and friendly staff. Even tried to help repair the issue before putting it on the tow truck.

Terrible service. They dont know what they are doing. Over charging and taking advantage of younger people with money. Didnt even fix the problem.

SCAMMERS - Took my car in to be aligned and told I had a damaged tie rod. When it took it to someone else was told their was nothing wrong with the tie rod and alignment was NO problem. SINGLE WOMEN AVOID NIXONS. THE THINK THEY CAN SCAM YOU.

Highly Recommend them. By far best in town. They have will help you out. I was stuck on the side of the highway. Dakota and his team come through when you need them. They are local truly. They make it easy breezy.

I would highly recommend not using this facility. No protective wear, no precautions taken during the epidemic and they are not professional by any means.

Rick is very knowledgeable from tires and brakes to crankshafts and differentials and everything in between. You can safely send your wife or sister and not get taken advantage of.

My daughter found this place and tookmy car there to get the wheel fixed. They said the wheel hub had to be replaced and charged her over $400 to do that. Then 3 months later same wheel same problem and Im told it was never replaced to begin with. The new mechanic said that they had probably just tightened it and it shpuld have never cost over $400! They are rip offs that took advantage of my daughter who knows nothing about cars but had a hand full of money! NO ONE SHOULD EVER TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

Had my wife go in to get all 4 tires balanced. They said what the price would be on the phone and that’s exactly what she paid.Car shook terribly before, now it rides perfect.We will be back.Honest and fair service.

DISHONEST shop. Bring your car here for a $1,000.00 oil change or a $1,200.00 tierod

Went here for a while to get my car fixed with no problems. One day when I go in to get a tail light fixed they found $1400 worth of things wrong with my vehicle. Gave them the go ahead to start fixing things and my car sat there for 3 days and they didnt even touch it. Picked it up and took it to Joplin Transmission and they fixed everything in a day and a half for $430. I will NEVER be returning to Nixons. They lost a very good customer.

Excellent service! Quick, affordable and efficient.

Told them exactly what we needed done. Told them as well once I got there. They ended up replacing 3 interior door handles that were not broken as well as 1 exterior door handle. Also, had brake noise diagnosed(they told me after I called since they had forgot to do this as well) and the diagnosis was not printed off and appears to be inaccurate since I had a friend drive and noise was coming from rear and I fixed by spraying brake dust off drum. I explained that they fixed a bunch of things that clearly worked, and they would not give a partial refund or any compensation at all. I have went here over 30 times, and this is how I was treated. $243 in waste and more in parts. On top of this, the drivers door stopped working yesterday... Scared to take it back, so I wont. My advice, try someplace else. They are courteous until you show them they were taking advantage of you and ask for a partial refund. Not much to ask. $10 would have made me feel like they at least felt bad about it. Actions speak louder than words however, and they have shown their true colors.

I was with my wife and daughter headed to Tulsa for a softball tournament when we had a blow out on I-44 just outside of Carthage. The shoulder was very narrow and the tire that blew was the rear drivers side - so not a lot of room with traffic flying by at 80 mph! Dakota with Nixon came out and got the donut put on fast. I was worried about driving on it all the way to Joplin. He assured me that as long as i stayed around 50mph that I would be fine. I didnt ask him to but he followed me all the way in to make sure that we made it okay. That is excellent service in my book and Im very thankful that Nixon took care of us that day!

I love ❤ everything about Nixons! Is very female friendly! They do NOT treat you like youre an idiot just bc youre girl & they have NEVER fixed something didnt need fixed just so they could make an extra $!!! Decent prices and good service. Seem pretty honest...asked them to repair something and they called back and told me I didnt need it fixed only adjusted at 1/8th the price.

True professionals. I went to this shop after wasting $150.00 at another place. They diagnosed the actual problem and I was out of there in 2 hours with a new fuel pump. If you want REAL mechanics to fix a real problem you cant go wrong with these guys. The shop isnt fancy but make no mistake these guys are the best in the four state area. You can go to other places for oil changes and stuff but when you need a true pro go to these guys FIRST.

I am very disappointed I just spent $700 to fix my truck and I still have the same problem as I did when I took it in the first place. They refused to refund me or help me out in anyway I just got off the phone with the better business bureau.

Never use these people. Gieco called them to come tow my van. They were due to arrive at 4:13 @ 5:30 I called to Nixons to find out where they were. A guy named Rick answered and said he had sent the order to guy who wasnt working. He said he would send a guy out in the next 15 minutes. At 5:45 I get a call from the driver who was lost. I then call into Gieco to complain and find out Rick had called them and told Gieco he was charging a lockout service because no one was there and the vehicle was locked. Which is a big fat lie not only are they liatmrs but they are committing fraud by charging for something they didnt do!! DO NOT ISE NIXONS TOWING SERVICE OUT OF JOLON MO!!

1100 dollars. Vehicle still doing the same thing. Lesson learned.

Stay Away!!!! Took my car in cus it was making noise Was told it was power steering pump n would b 580.00 to fix. Replace that and noise still there and they tore up bottom of my car on the large cement edge they have in front. They just want your $$$$

Took a vehicle in for a simple service drain and fill rear diff. Was quoted to replace axle seal and ended up paying for their techs mistakes after the diff tried to lock up. I would recommend going elsewhere for any vehicle service ever. They admit fault and then had me pay for their mistakes to even get the vehicle back. Which was low on axle grease even after everything. Liars and conartists pretending to be mechanics. They told me a couple hours to complete but had it for seven days. The tech that did the work overlooked things he never should have. Terrible terrible terrible.

Dont bring your car here. They forgot to hook my air intake back up. They told me to buy parts that were unnecessary. They banged up my car. The owner was rude to me, and refused to help. Probably the worst customer service experience Ive had anywhere, ever. Many, many small problems.

These guys are alright with me. I broke down on the way to Houston with what I thought was one thing and after they diagnosed my problem as something outside of their scope the gave me a recommendation and sent me on my way without charge. A-1 as far as Im concerned. Thanks guys.
