The staff at the Chandler Funeral Home were 5 Star employees. They were compassionate, kind and very helpful during this very difficult time for us. When my husbands mother passed, Bill and his staff were just so helpful, professional, and attentive to our family. They took the time to explain all of our options and handled everything. They took all of the stress off of our shoulders which allowed us the time to be with family and friends. The facility was lovely, well maintained, clean and easily accessible for some of our family members with mobility constraints. I truly appreciate all that was done, they treated us all so well. My father, Bill Kane, passed away in early November in Johnstown. My brother Bill and I came to Pennsylvania from Indiana worried how the week would go. We met with Jeremy the first Sunday we were there to have a private viewing with my dad. Jeremy went above and beyond the call of duty to make this as easy on us as he could He was kind and informative and gave us the time to be with our father one last time in a beautiful and peaceful setting. The entire week was made so much easier on us because we had Jeremy and Hindman Funeral Home guiding us through the week. It was such a horribly sad time for my brother and I, we are so grateful for the time and attention they took with us, making us feel as if we were the only clients they had at the time. However, I knew how incredibly busy they were. Jeremy made us feel like family. Courtney could not have been more kind, gracious and helpful to us. 6 years prior, we had our mother’s cremation handled by the Frankstown Rd office. My father left specific instructions that he wanted us to use Hindman when he passed away as well. From the first meeting to the the picking up of the ashes and our keepsake tree of life pendants ( both our parent’s ashes within them) it was a comforting and professional experience. All we had to do was grieve our loss. They handled everything else.

The entire funeral home was spotless, comfortable, had plenty of parking, and was fully handicap accessible for my elderly aunt. The service provided exceeded our expectations and far surpassed the experience we had with the other funeral home in the past. The effort and extra mile they went to honor my dad as a WWII Veteran was heartfelt and didnt go unnoticed-many people paying their respects commented on the outstanding job they do honoring Veterans. My entire family could not have been more impressed and I feel certain they do an outstanding job for each and every family they serve.

I cannot thank Bill, Ashlee and the staff at Hindman Funeral Homes enough for the care during their services for our family. You cant ask for better help with the initial planning, getting through the day of the services, and looking after all the final arrangements. They helped care for everyone, provided a great facility for us to meet and be with friends and guided us through all the decisions that had to be made.
