I can’t say enough about Bill Harris & his staff. The facilities are so nice. The viewing room was large. My father was a veteran and Bill & his staff wore patriotic ties and saluted his casket. It was just little things like this that meant so much. Bill was so kind and easy to work with. The way he prepares bodies is unreal. To see your loved one when he passes and then see how remarkable Bill does preparing the body for viewing puts a person in a whole new place. He does an outstanding job in ALL aspects. I cannot express enough how much understanding and compassion Bill and his staff showed when my mother passed away. They treated her with dignity and respect. They also showed plenty of patience with our family during our time of sorrow.

When my Mother passed, we met with Bill Harris and discussed all the various details that need to be decided on. Bill went thru a checklist and make it all easy. No question went unanswered. The 6 hour viewing was made easier because of the people who work for Bill and Debbie Harris.The lounge was made available for rest breaks and water was passed around at intervals. The service was excellent and flawless! On the day of the funeral things were handled with ease and respect for my Mother and our family. The graveside service was impeccable! When the time comes and you need the service of a funeral home I can highly recommend Harris Funeral Home for the best service, respect and dignity for your family and loved one!

Over the course of a year and a half, I was involved in planning 3 separate family funerals – my uncle, my grandmother, and my great aunt. Mr. Harris (Bill) and his staff could not have been more professional, compassionate, or respectful of our family during our period of grief. Bill and his staff made everything run as smoothly as possible, patiently explaining all of the steps for the funeral and interment, walking the family through the major decision points, and outlining other things needed after someone passes that we wouldn’t have thought of otherwise – like getting extra copies of the death certificates for life insurance, legal, and financial paperwork.For my grandmother’s funeral, he helped coordinate a car service, which took a large amount of stress off of the family on an otherwise devastating day. Bill also offered a projector for us to share a photo slideshow I created, and they added music appropriate for the day. For my great aunt’s funeral, the florist dropped the ball and delivered the arrangements to the wrong funeral home, but Bill and his staff did all of the calling and coordinating for us to ensure that new flowers arrived prior to the start of the visitation. It seemed like the whole staff tried to make things as easy as possible on the grieving family, which is appreciated in such a difficult time. The facility also offers a private area for the immediate family, which we needed when it became too emotional for us to speak with visiting guests.Finally, I feel that credit needs to be given to the preparation and dedication given to our dearly departed; Bill was able to present them in a way that honored our memories of each of them. Bill paid attention to small details and made sure personal affects for the viewing were returned to the family. As much as I’d like to never have to plan a funeral again, I know that if/when I do, Bill and his team will be there to offer comfort and support as they always do.

My Mom passed away on July 9, 2017. Our family entrusted The Harris Family with her arrangements. Bill, Debbie, John and their staff went way beyond our expectations. We could not have asked for any better service. Their care, compassion & professionalism go way beyond what would be necessary at such a difficult time. Bill & Debbie made our family feel at complete ease at our initial consultation. Every detail was anticipated and taken care of by Bill at our consultation. Bill & Debbie even spent time with us and offered hugs, compassion and complete understanding at the ordeal we were going through. Our Moms appearance was also well above our expectations. Bill personally made sure someone from his staff was available the entire time of the viewing. Bill & his staff are a wonderful credit to the profession. Never once did any of the staff have to check with anyone for an answer, they are all highly professional. Bill Harris and his team provided exemplary service to my family last week after my father died on Wednesday, September 29. Beginning with transporting his body from Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center through the funeral Mass at St. Benedict Catholic Church, every detail was handled with the utmost compassion and professionalism.The police honor guard afforded my dad by the Richland Township Police Department and members of the Fraternal Order of Police, added an additional wrinkle to an already complex event. Nevertheless, Bills team ensured a seamless transition every step of the way.Thank you all.
