This was my first visit and I was very pleased. Everyone was so nice and very supportive. It was more like I had know them for a long time.

Suffering from a bad toothache & without a dentist, I called Simple Smiles. They were able to get me in the next day. Although I arrived late (sorry!), they were able to work me in rather quickly for x-rays. Everyone there was pleasant.Armed with an antibiotic, I returned the next week to have two teeth removed. Although the extractions ended up not being easy on either of us, Dr. Drew Shabo & his assistant Amy were wonderful. Once again, the staff was terrific. I highly recommend this practice!

Everyone was very kind and considerate! Dr Bo made every effort to keep me as comfortable and pain-free as possible! I would recommend this office to anyone looking for outstanding dental care!

Fantastic experience. I was new to the area and was nervous about picking a new dentist. The front office was very welcoming and my hygienist did a fantastic job explaining everything that she was doing and making sure I was aware of that was going on. They made me feel extremely comfortable and heard. So glad I made the decision to come here!

Today I had an appointment to pick up my partials. As a new patient, only going to Simple Smiles for a couple of months now, I have to say every time I walk in the door I see nothing but smiling people. Not only does the staff at West Walnut live up to the motto of simple smiles theyre all super friendly too. But i joyously digress.So, the partial looked great but was in need of a bit of adjusting. Thankfully, I had the pleasure of having the courteous and very bubbly (you want that from people who are going to be in your mouth), Kenzie. This sweet girl was friendly, patient, very knowledgeable and got the partial feeling great in mouth within minutes. I felt so well serviced that the only suggestion I would make to your board of directors, is to allow for a tip jar up front!Thank you all for such a wonderful experience, and may God continue to bless all you do to help our community smile better!

While I was satisfied with the outcome, the scheduling leaves something to be desired. The office had not record of my appointment, but fortunately, I had my appointment card. They did have my permanent crown, and after a 15 minute wait, we got it completed.I am still wary of your billing. Your billing and my insurance dont agree.

The staffs are friendly and accomodating.The problem is they have no comfort room..

Got the ole fangs cleaned up a few months back and Amy did an exceptional job at being super friendly and nice. Definitely made the trip worth while just seeing her! The lady who physically cleaned them was very pleasant and had lots of good conversation starters as well!

I hadnt been to the Dentist since Covid struck. The office had changed personnel. This change was a pleasant one for me. The women who worked in the front office made sure that I was comfortable and my wait time was less than 5 minutes. Both women were fun to be around. Abigial, the dental hygienist, was so caring and I felt like I was in good hands. She paid attention to the details and explained what she was doing as she was working. When she finished, she introduced me to the Dentist and he was very nice and explained what needed to be done. He considered my budget and the health of my teeth and gums. I am very pleased with my new dental team.

I was greeted with courtesy, checkin was simple. The staff was very polite and the office was very efficient. The hygienist was very knowledgeable in the questions that I had as I am dealing with some issues. She explained all she was doing and the dentist was very friendly. Would not recommend! I filled out paperwork as they instructed before my apt and arrived when we was told @8 am when no one was even there! We waited patiently till 8:20 am and the doors was still locked with no one there! This apt was made weeks ahead and with a toddler this was not an easy task! I am very dissatisfied how our time was treated like it had no value!!!!!! Do not visit!

I have been going here a long time and have only had positive experiences! They only recommend procedures you really need, and are very transparent about costs, etc. The front office staff, dental hygienists and everyone else are a pleasure to work with!

I had a major dental issue occur on the weekend and am new to JC. They called me back within a few hours and set me up for an appointment the next day. Treatment at the appointment was provided in an excellent, friendly and professional manner as they got me fixed up in an hour or so. I am now a regular patient.

Staffs were friendly and courteous. They took the time to explain issue, what they were going to do to resolve it including follow up. Great group!!

The dental hygienist Lindsey was so nice and comforting. She put my anxiety at ease and was very knowledgeable as well. The ladies at the front desk were all so friendly and welcoming. I have never been to a dentist where everyone was warm and inviting.

Very very nice hygienist and dentist, but, probably the most lack luster cleaning that I’ve ever gotten. First off every time that I go to the dentist I am told my gums bleed/need special attention/pre gingivitis etc. I was told that “my gums are great” which I know is complete BS, I’m sorry haha. Then the cleaning was literally just scraping and my teeth felt so bumpy and uneven after. No use of water pick, spray, floride, anything. So I was literally ingesting my own plaque with no water rinse the whole cleaning. I went home and literally used a junky dollar tree flosser to find junk still in my teeth. I would say they need to up their cleaning abilities because I could literally do that at home with my water pick and scrapers and do a better job! Like way more needs to be done between the teeth, gum line and general polishing. Very disappointed that I want to go get another cleaning done like... within a day. And somewhere else.

Wednesday was my first filling in 30+ years. Dr. Lawson replaced a very old amalgam, (silver) filling to repair a crack. Hes gentle with the numbing procedure; I had no pain whatsoever. The Composite filling (white) is much more desirable. Think Ill get all the old ones replaced!

I have been a patient at Simple Smiles, previously called University Dental, for 5+ years. Ive had pleasant experiences until today. I was EXTREMELY disappointed. They are not taking Covid-19 precautions seriously. When I arrived for my 8am appointment, I was the only person in the waiting room (out of ~5) that was wearing a mask, and they did not require masks at all. (Other dental offices in the Tri Cities arent even allowing patients in the waiting room, they have you text when you arrive and then youre escorted right back) The numbers in East Tennessee are currently rising rapidly!! Additionally, the staff were not wearing masks when I arrived. They were dressed for Halloween and came into the lobby and asked for a patient to take their picture. So I was sitting, the only person with a mask on, with ~15 other people in the small waiting room. Thats completely unacceptable. I arrived at 7:50am because I was so nervous, and I wasnt brought into the back until 8:22am (32 minutes in that mask-less lobby!! Whats the reason for being so behind on schedule if Im literally a techs first patient of the day?). My techs mask did not fit her face well and it was loose around her nose. I am extremely disappointed that Simple Smiles is not taking the precautions necessary to protect themselves and the general public against the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Very nice people, clean office, and accommodating for emergency issues. They are not judgmental at all! Not once in a visit have I heard an underhanded comment about my dental hygiene or anything else, which is a big plus for sure.

I had seven teeth removed and an upper plate inserted. Professional and great service.

Had major tooth pain I tried everywhere. They all wanted me to come in for consult first w x rays. I called here they got me in an hour after my phone call. Got my x rays and had the dr in there to extract my tooth 15 mins later. Wonderful 5 start experience Would recommend to anybodyyyy w an emergency extraction. Very friendly people too. Overall loved it.

Martha is a superior hygenist.

Martha does a great job. Answers any questions I may have. The dentists take care of anything I may need done but dont pressure me to do a lot ofunnecessary expensive work.

Trevor is a awesome dentist! He has helped me many times with different dental needs.... Had a lower jaw tooth pulled by a oral surgeon and ended up going back twice to the oral surgeon because of a dry socket.... They said I didnt have one and just cleaned the area out..... I was more or less butchered by the surgeon and he left pieces of Bone in the hole that was made.,...I finally went and seen Trevor and he cleaned the area very well..removed a large piece of Bone and packed the hole to help heal and also put in a stich or two....he was a god sent for me....thanks Trevor!

Worse visit ever! Very rude person who did my assessment, I feel since I had limited dental insurance. The actual dentist, who I wouldnt know in public, do to the multiple face coverings. Never mentioned obvious things wrong with my teeth. Terrible cleaning could not tell that teeth had been done.
