2nd vehicle Ive took here to get aligned and they have exceeded my expectations. There cant be a better shop to take your car to in the Tri-Cities. Ive tried many. They aligned it and it was still vibrating so took it back and they figured it out and charged me nothing. If you dont go here for your vehicle needs your simply wasting your money.

They are quick and efficient. My truck is never dirty or anything when I get it back. I’ve been to the Greeneville and Johnson City location and they are both equally good

Great people work here! Pulled into their store while they were locking up for the night. I had a flat and not much hope of fixing it or getting to work soon after I got it off the road. Very much to my surprise the mechanic opened the bay and changed my tire full of fix a flat out with a nice used one and didn’t charge me -Porters you are a blessing TY!!

Porters always does great, honest work. They even balanced my donut when I came in with a flat.Theyre not always the cheapest, but I dont want the cheapest working on my car, tbh.

My daughter just got GOUGED for $400 today. Her car is running worse than it was when she took it to them. She is a waitress and can’t afford to be shelling out hard earned money for nothing and being taken advantage of. Shame on you.

Went and gotten our alignment fixed the other day, fair prices and great people there.

Don’t use porter’s tire or Hancock tires. They don’t back the product they sale and could care less about you or your safety. My tires only lasted about 25,000 miles and they are warrantied for 50k. I told porters and we went through the process and I told them I didn’t want that brand as they clearly make a bad product. I was told that’s just to bad. I’ll be using someone better.

Service is always good, but just had them get 2 tires for the truck. The day I ordered i was quoted 134 and change, including mounting and balancing, etc. I asked to ensure that was an out the door price and they confirmed it was.When i got them installed a couple days later and went to pay, it was $306. Almost $20 a tire higher than I was quoted.

We took our vehicle to be aligned. They said they wouldnt do it because we needed ball joints. They still charged us $25.

Came in due to a tire needing patched. Turns out it needed to be replaced but the shop had to purchase the matching tire and would be the next day before I could put it on. I had many places to go that day and these amazing people let me borrow a tire on good faith that I would return to have the new one put on. I wasnt charges a dime for borrowing the tire!! Very nice place. I went and bought 4 used tires from another tire place in jc and took them to porters to be balanced. I got there and they could not believe the poor condition of the used tires i was sold for 40 dollars a piece. They replaced 2 of my tires with better used tires no charge just paid for the balance. Showed me really nice used tires that they do not charge over 25 dollars a piece for. If you need used tires i recommend you use porters tirrs

I recently purchased a full set of tires from the Rogersville location. Service was great and everyone is always friendly. A week and a half later I had an accident involving one of my tires almost totally breaking off. I am unsure why it happened or what truly caused it, but I called Ben and he had someone pick up my vehicle that evening and it was fixed and ready the next day. I am so thankful for their outstanding customer service and urgency since that is the only vehicle I own. The pricing seemed reasonable, but they scheduled us for an alignment on friday (today) and when we showed up, they told us we didnt have an appointment and the guy doesnt work on Fridays. I guess I should have called this morning instead of wasting my time and gas to go to a none existing appointment.

Of course Im watching my spending dollars I had searched several tire stores, they all had the size I was needing but a little more higher price and I was able to pay. After calling Porters tire store in Johnson City I selected them to purchase tires for my sons truck. The salesperson was very friendly and knowledgeable, the technician was very quick in getting the tires changed and balanced and back on the truck. We couldnt have asked for the friendly service we received at Porters tires. Think you so much for being available and having the affordable price that I was looking for. This place went above and beyond to help my son out this morning. He woke up with 2 flat tires-someone had let the air out of them and pulled the core out of one of the stems. They sent someone over to repair -saving us a tow bill. I had called another National Branded tire store in town and they would not do this service for him. This place is top notch, and has been for many years. Yes, Im biased because my uncle (Ken) works there and has for 30+ years, but that only makes me more confident because I personally know his work ethic. These guys are honest and reliable!

Porter Tire replaced brake pads and rotors at 1/4th the price that Free Service Tire quoted. All parts and labor were fair and listed on the invoice. Would recommend for anyone needing brake repair around the Johnson City area.

Will be quoted one price, then charged another once they are done with the job. their rates are definitely not “unmatched”, 85$ an hour, which was not disclosed to me until AFTER the job was done. the dealership is 80$ an hour. absolutely ridiculous and if you’re a woman then i would stay very far away. they are the definition of taking of advantage of the customer. terrible experience. terrible customer service.

I’ve been going here for some time, but no longer - they made a noticeable scratch on my steering wheel and refused to admit to it. The scratch isnt the problem - its the way they handled it. When I told the manager about it all he did was say they did not do it. He got very frustrated with me and was adamant that they could not have done it. I can understand mistakes get made, but to insist it isnt possible they did it makes me wonder how they stand behind their other work. If they couldnt have done it, what else could they deny being at fault for? Unwilling to offer an apology, or anything else, I will not be returning.

Got new tires in October just a little late at posting but price was better than other local tire store prices and employees was nice.

I left their shop this morning after they fixed my tire and I was giddy because they were so nice!!!! They put my spare away, put all the tools back where they go, and when I got back in my car there was no evidence of a flat!!!! Professional and really quick. I was having tires changed and just asked if they do alignments and the mechanic actually came and talked to me one on one.thats a first,extremely great service hands down.

I went in for an alignment and they couldnt do it due to some control arm issues but I appreciate the fact that they told me about the problem and did not do the work as opposed to Simply doing the alignment knowing it would fail by next week
