Recently moved to town and needed a new barber. Found great reviews here and decided to give it a shot. Service was great, reasonable price and good conversation. I strongly recommend and will be returning.

Tanners Barbershop does a better job at a better price than other chain barbershops in Jefferson CityAfter moving to Missouri four years ago, one of the things I missed the most about home was not having a trusted barber. I finally found a great barber. I came into Tanners for the first time with my two year old son and Mike was great. He was welcoming and great cutting my sons hair, and there is nothing like getting a warm lather and shave clean up around the edges.Ill for sure be going to Mike for now on for me and my son.

My family have been customers here before Mike even owned it. We will stay customers for the foreseeable future. Great place to get a haircut with a nice, small-time atmosphere, but with big-time quality and the occasional shop dog.

Mike is very personable. He is an excellent barber and does a few extra things barbers of old used to do but rarely do today. He also has a great Blue Heeler that is very friendly. Mikes charge is very reasonable.

Got my haircut with Mike real short notice. Just make sure you call in before to schedule a time. Super nice cut. He actually listens to what you want and isn’t afraid stop and ask questions.

I have never been to a barbershop before so i didnt know what to expect. My boyfriend normally gets his hair done at sports clips and it looks good. When he got his hair done here I was stunned. Its magic watching him cut hair. I sat there and wondered hows he gonna do this. Blew my mind. Going to Florida for University but every break we get we plan on coming back to get his haircut there.

Tanners is the only barber shop i go to hes got the best cuts. There always tight an even, its really one over the last true American barbershops around. The whole time your there an everything about his shop is pleasant an enjoyable! An he takes pride in every cut that leaves his shop

Great friendly barber, who does a variety of cuts. He is fast, efficient and all around really nice guy. Mike Tanner is who owns and runs the shop. He prefers appointments call ahead and be scheduled but takes walk ins. He takes cash or personal checks ONLY but...I had only a debit aand credit cards. He comped me the haircut and said payme next time you come in. I definetly have found a new barber he is on Madison right off of 54 just as you get into Jeff City.

Great barber, will figure out exactly what you want in detail, even if your not fully decided of how you want your hair. Very friendly and not a spec of hair left on me, WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK and refer my friends also
