Edit (6/2021): still have nightmares about this place. I drove out of here with more car problems than I started with. Over a year later Im still trying to get my car to run after this place destroyed it. Already had to make a claim on their insurance but Im in the hole for everything else that they broke. I wouldnt let them check my oil level much less touch my car again.Had to leave another review because this place is THE. WORST. PLACE. EVER. to take your vehicle. Youd have better luck finding a Craigslist repairman and theyd probably be more professional and on time. I dont know what to complain about because Ive had nothing but problems and everyone in my family whos gone there says the same thing. They ordered the wrong engine 3-4 times for my corolla, they forgot to latch the hood when I picked it up so my hood smashed into my windshield and it had to go back into the shop for a month. Its been a few months since this all happened but Im still noticing rookie mistakes and missing screws all under the hood as well as no working defrost and tons of electrical problems with my car. If you take your vehicle you may as well buy another one and forget about it because it will never run the same. By far the worst car repair Ive ever experienced.TL;DR: I could never in good conscience recommend this place even to my worst enemies

Lilly auto is second to none. Theyre always busy because of their quality, but still find time to go over details and make honest suggestions. Theres never been a reason to get a second opinion- theyre trustworthy and the work they do is excellent. I highly recommend them.

They were very friendly and willing to get me in right away for my oil leak. Luckily it was very simple so I was in and out within minutes. I will definately go back when I need service done.

Roger is a friendly guy and very professional. My heater core needed to be fixed and my neighbor recommended me to him. He gave me a great deal on it. if i went somewhere else for my heater core, I would have been charged in the 1,000s. he charged me $600. I would highly recommend coming here. Ive been going to him every since.

They have ordered the wrong engine for my car 3-4 times, not sure if they are using this as an excuse. When I went in to try and get them to finish work on it they told me they lost my keys. Its been in their shop for atleast 7 months and they still dont know if it will be done this week. I dont know how to replace engines but I could have gone to school for it at this point and graduated top of my class with still enough time to do it myself. Ive only heard good things about this place but Im only seeing the worst things. I like the owner but he needs to hire better people

I have been here a few times now and will never go anywhere else. Last time I was in for my check engine light, which another place who changed the oil said would cost over $600.00 to fix. Roger quoted me $300-400 for the same service, then promptly told me if it was his car he would not fix it because there is nothing harmful to your engine because of this sensor! Are you serious??? HONEST, RELIABLE and Roger is a HOOT!

Very trustworthy mechanic, which is hard to say any more. Roger will shoot you straight whether its your first visit or 50th. Highly recommended, only place I have gone for years.

On 12/30/2018 I had car trouble. My car didnt have any power when I gave it gas on the highway. It died seven or eight times on the interstate. I went to AutoZone on Center Avenue here in Janesville and they put it on a scanner / computer and it said several things were wrong with it. Misfiring, plugs, plug wires, Etc. Im not from the Janesville area and didnt know which auto shop to go to. AutoZone told me Lilly Auto Care Center on Grant. Its a couple of blocks down from here. I went to Lillys and was told to return on 1/02/2019, since they were closing for the day, It was 5:00p.m. at that time and a holiday as well. I return on 1/ 2/2019 at 8 a.m. got right in and Rodger diagnosed my problem. He stated its indicating to your catalytic converter. He referred me to another business in town, since he doesnt specialize in them. He never charged me anything. Wouldnt take any money from me at all. He called the business and told them I was coming. On a scale from 1 to 5 Stars? I would rate Lillys Auto Care a 7. Very professional and efficient and the best service Ive ever seen. Rodger is the best as well as the young man working in his shop.
