Heater hose broke. They were able to work on my car same day. Lived far away. So had no way to get home. Labor and parts where affordable . Very friendly place

We had good luck with Buttita Brothers for several years and then they changed management in Janesville, where we were taking our vehicle. After the management change, things went downhill. We took our car in because we were having trouble keeping it running and they told us that we needed a new alternator. After several mishaps, I discovered that the battery cables hadnt even been tightened which is why the car wasnt starting. We were refunded for that work, but had just as bad luck on our next experience. When we spoke to the new manager, he assured us that he was very sorry for the trouble and would make sure to keep on top of things in the future. We decided to give them one last try. We took our car in for an oil change and 2 days later all the oil had already drained out of the car because they forgot to put the gasket back on the oil pan plug. They also had put the wrong size oil filter in. I spent 3 hours in 93° heat getting all of the necessary parts and replacing the oil. I was not able to actually do it myself, I needed a friends help because I didnt have the correct tools or jack. As I was stranded a few miles from home, I didnt have anything that I needed and had to repeatedly go to the auto parts store to get more tools and items. There were also two instances where they left metal tools under the hood that could have potentially caused damage to our engine. When I called to make a complaint to the general manager in Rockford, Illinois, I was told I would be reimbursed for the oil change and for the expense I had in correcting the oil change. That was 4 weeks ago, I still havent heard anything and am extremely disappointed. Besides the issue of the money, its the principle of it all. We will be taking our cars elsewhere in the future.

I tried to get my ac/ mirror fixed and they said I needed a new compressor and condenser which was about 1700 with out even putting it in the bay or looking at the Freon levels. I asked them to order the mirror and set an appt 3 weeks out for the install but they had countless last min excuses of back order. It also took me about 3 days of phone calls and leaving voicemails to have someone pick up the phone just to confirm the first appt and the again with my mirror appt. Ive never been at a place with such rip off prices and sketchy reliability. Instead of going to these guys i Went to meineke with Same day notice and they were able to fix it with just a Freon charge / full ac check which was about 150.They ordered my mirror and got it in early (3 days) for less and were able to install it after I get off work, which is later in the day. They also always pickup the phone.

Was given a 2008 vehicle that had a bunch of issues (tune up, transmission, multiple leaks, check engine light, etc.). They kept me up to date about progress and findings. We went through the bill when I picked it up and there were some things on the bill that hadnt been conveyed to me as needing to be fixed - so they took it off before I cashed out! What?!?! Im completely impressed with we didnt quote you so were not going to charge you!! Ill definitely be returning.

Went to start my car this morning, it wouldnt. The battery has been dragging lately. I called Butitta to find out if they could install a battery if I could get the car started and over there. To my surprise Larry offered to come jump start the battery!! He was here in no time, jumped the battery and I followed him to the shop. They got the new battery installed quickly. Lately no matter who I deal with customer service is lacking. Not this time!! I am so appreciative of the customer service I received!!! Thanks so much Larry!!! I will be taking my car to Butitta Brothers Automotive for now on!

I stopped in to have a tire mounted on a wheel. Larry, the service manager, asked one of his mechanics to help. It was done within minutes of my arrival. This is the second time I have used Butitta Brothers in Janesville. Both times I was treated with professionalism and superior service. These people are great. I will go nowhere else from now on when in need of service!

I could have not asked for a better experience. Especially being that I was a walk-in and had no prior service work done here before. Larry was able to get me in for a lube, oil, and filter. The price was phenomenal as I have a very mileage vehicle that in my mind needs a high mile synthetic oil. As I sat waiting for the work to be done I had the chance to observe Service Manager Larry interact with customers of varying ages, ethnic backgrounds, and gender. Nothing but professionalism all the way around. I will definitely be back!

There has been a recent change in management that I have not been particularly fond of. Service is not a friendly and I can never get anyone to answer their phone. I Particularly had a difficult time when I recently had to have my car repaired. I went to go pick it up on my way to work. When I first arrived multiple mechanics and the manager himself saw me at the front desk waiting. More time past with the manager and other staff looking at me on several occasions however none willing to acknowledge me. The manager glared at me at least on 4 different occasions. After waiting for ten minutes I then decided to try to call their phone number to try to gain their attention. I called it on 4 different occasions, however still unsuccessfully gaining their attention. During this whole time the managers dog was squealing in his office with a gate to keep it inside. Finally after 15 minutes the manager came into the lobby and I conveyed that I had been waiting for 15 minutes and had to get to work. The manager then proceeded to the computer giving me the total owed $506.35 with no apology or other comments. When I have difficulty with even making payment (giving you my money), then there is a real problem. The prior manager had my trust and confidence. I unfortunately will not be returning to Butita brothers any longer. I will take my 3 vehicles elsewhere in the future.

Went in for the first time to get an oil change. Walking in to a very friendly environment I felt nothing but welcomed. The service manager Guy was very professional answering all my questions and making sure my car was finished in a timely manner so I could get back on the road. The team seemed very proficient in all their works as I sat in the waiting area for my car. To top of my first experience at Butitta Brothers I asked if I got a discount because my job services their shop. In reply, not usually but I can knock a few dollars off for you (now thats customer service)! I WILL be going back for all my car care needs in the future. I feel as I can leave them with my car and trust them 110% to do nothing but quality work to my vehicle and get the best pricing! I paid him close to $600 for my blinkers and wipers to replaces he had the car for 2 days and tells me somthing on the car got broke so ghetto rigged it and tells me hes not charging me for it...then literally the next day my wipers went back so he acts like he doesnt know what Im talking about Said everything was working fine when the car was in his shop.. Lucky it worked on the highest speed so I could get it home. Then 2 days later my blinkers go out!!! So I bring it up there again and I was like hey just paid $600 for these issues why are they still happening....he tells me to drop car off and hell take a look. So we pick car up later that day and guess what....wipers not working. Then he tells me I only got power into the wipers and it shows their is a bigger problem and ill have to pay to fix that problem so I ask what he did to fix my blinkers and he said he didnt do anything that day. So I was confused on as why he had me bring it in not to fix for what I paid for.... Now I have to pay another person to fix his mistakes and the car never had issues with turning now were sticking paying to fix that cuz it just magicly broke..... So long story but they break your stuff charge you to fix somthing thats still broke and breaks things on the car.....worst auto repair ever!!!!!!!

Took my car in to get LF cv axle replaced. They were able to get it in and out in a matter of a day. Guy had called while replacing the cv and said both tie tods needed to be replaced also. They replaced everything extremely quick under short notice as this is my only vechile. A week later my car threw somes codes needing a air gap adjustment. I called Guy right away even though he was already booked that day he was able to take a quick look and diagnose the problem. The customer service i recieved was excellent and everything was done in a timely manner.

Each and every time I have a car issue that I can not correct myself, I call Guy at JANESVILLE Butitta Brothers. My latest experience was the absolute BEST. Car issue (My Bonehead mistake) on Friday afternoon, called Guy and he recommended a tow company that was able to get me picked up right away (Berniers Towing). Monday morning the shop had my car diagnosed and parts ordered. Tuesday before noon Guy calls and said it was ready.When I first called Guy, I had a gut wrenching feeling I had a real problem, I described what had happened and I was quoted an ESTIMATED cost to fix it. When I received the call that it was ready to go, I asked about the cost ............. He was $2.43 off.
