I called Orkin to perform a mosquito spray. Before Mike the technician sprayed, I asked if he could walk around my yard and give me his honest assessment. I didn’t want to waste his time or my money if it was something that wasn’t going to work. Since my yard is a constant swarm of mosquitoes, I explained I’m not expecting to rid all the mosquitoes, but to make them more manageable. As we walked the yard he pointed out the areas of concern, which were plenty. He wasn’t sure if he could eliminate the problem, but felt certain he could bring the numbers down. I am on my second season of mosquito spray, it has been life changing.I am outside everyday. It is really hard to convey how bad our mosquito issue was. It was like living in a cloud of mosquitos, I’d look down and have 20-30 on my leg at one time. I am quickly reminded of this anytime I walk into my neighbor’s yard where I am greeted by a swarm.Since I’m outside a lot, I’ve noticed the occasional breakthroughs, just for 10-15 mins. after it rains, control doesn’t work as well. Standing next to my property line to long and open areas where there is not any green, like my garage/driveway.

My technician is always prompt, informative and very friendly. I know my home is in good hands with him!

We just bought a home that has been vacant the last few months while being sold and decided to have someone come out and treat the property before we move in. From the very first phone call everyone I spoke with was very curtious and professional. They explained everything thoroughly and I felt comfortable with what I would be getting for my money. When the tech arrived he was super helpful and informative. He took his time and made sure he explained any areas of concern as he treated the house. I am so glad I went with Orkin. They were a little higher than everyone else but I couldnt be happier with my decision. I have had other companies do pest control at previous homes and although I havent had a bad experience before I never had service as good as this.

Arrived with prior notice. Assessed the yard area in which I was stung and applied a spray. I was given instructions to avoid the area until told otherwise. Mr, Rice returned the next day and poked and powdered, He is to return Tuesday. Professional, knowledgeable and i hope successful. I chose Orkin for its overall longevity in the pest control business with the hope that they had encounter this situation before and were able to solve.

I use Orkin for pest control and for lawn health at multiple properties. They are great to work with and the lawn expert was very knowledgeable about how I could improve my patchy grass.

Orkin man sat in thrice 5 or 6 minutes then sprayed several places in front yard. Didn’t walk around house or go in back yard. He was specifically coming for ants. There are several mounds in the backyard. He left before I could catch him. He wasn’t here 10 minutes.

Eric is always so friendly and professional. We haven’t seen a bug in at least a year, thanks to him! He even pointed out a spot where we could be facing a snake intrusion so that we can caulk it once the snake vacates the area.

This last time however he says,” I notice your can is not out in the street and the sanitation truck is about 6 doors away” and asks, do you want me to put it out? I replied, no, I got this. He went through his regular routine and lately on other visits was remarking about the wasp mud spots? That turn black that appear under the overhang on the front porch and he found a product to remove them, the best one yet and gave that info to me! What a great visit! BUT I’m not done, Eric calls later that evening and ask if Linda & I had gotten our covid shots yet? We hadn’t, he says he just saw on the news that St. John’s had a website site and phone number !Buy this past Friday we had our first shot and thanks to Eric by March 20th will have the second shot! I cannot say enough about him! He really goes out of his way to be very helpful and definitely goes “above & beyond the call of Duty” we count ourselves lucky to have him as our Orkin Service Tech and Orkin should also be please to have this fine gentleman representing their company!Sincerely,Jack& Linda Donnelly

I was very pleased with the experience I just had with Orkin. I called and made an appointment for later on that day. The technician (Leonard) called and asked if he could arrive earlier. I was home, so I said okay.Leonard was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He walked me through e dry thing that he was doing, step by step. He also gave some suggestions for long term prevention. Finally, we discussed making a follow up visit soon, and told me how I can go about doing that.All in all, it was a very positive experience.

I had Wally from Orkin come out to give me an estimate for lawn service (fertilizer/pest control) for a home I am renting. The backyard is nothing but weeds. He was completely honest with me and told me that the only way to fix the backyard is to buy pallets of sod. Being a renter, that is not an option. He told my that I would be wasting my money as he could kill the weeds but all that will be left is dirt.I appreciate his honesty. I will tell you that two other services were not so honest and would have taken my $$$ all day long. When I move out of this rental in 8 months and into my real home, I will absolutely call Orkin again...

He was very detailed in explaining what steps were taken to ensure any pest issues were minimized internally within the home and outside perimeters. The Orkin representative walked around checking everything out while giving me step by step instructions as to what he was about to be be doing. Then he went over what to expect. After that, he asked me if I had any questions then he got started. The whole experience was very good and I am thankful that I chose Orkin.

Ive used another pest control company since 1996. I wanted to see what else was available from other companies. After the inspection, I was sent an email outlining costs, but it was fairly vague. I called the technician back, and after a one for one phone tag we spoke. I explained my situation, and he got defensive that they arent the cheapest but offered premium service. He was not personable as I tried to get more information from him about what service Orkin would offer. I felt like he didnt want to speak to me and I was wasting his time. Im still a bit confused, but determined that Ill look elsewhere. If you offer a premium product, then you should have premium service, and from my interaction and my property mangers interaction, this isnt he case. Ill look elsewhere.

The technician did a thorough job as usual. Due to COVID 19 he offered to inspect only outside of the house unless I wanted him to come inside as they usually do. He was wearing a mask. I asked him to inspect the inside as well so he did. I paid for a complete inspection; I wonder, if he had only done the outside would I have been given a pro-rated refund??

First poor review Ive written in years. I recommend avoiding this company. I pay the extra price for their services because we live on the water and require re-treatment due to web worms or fungus. We have had no issue in the past with this until the last 6 times in a row. Asked them to retreat and they never showed-various reasons-the last time where technician had a family issue and was out - it was like he was the only employee...they simply skipped the treatment! Time before that he had no reason at all - just didnt retreat. I call the main office and my tech sometimes never gets the message-very poor central management. My lawn looks worse than ever due to the non-responsiveness - worst in years. Sadly they have consistently gone down hill in every area it is possible to go down in. Very unhappy with the service.

ORKIN is a large reputable pest control company. The service comes from the individual who comes to your house. Our pest control guy, Eric is the best. He is personable and knowledgeable. He always communicates his whereabouts before each appointment.

The young man that works our account now is very thorough, also friendly, and we are glad to have him service our account. Jim, our previous technician tended toward lazy and I often had to remind him about areas that needed attention, while the new fellow needs no such. He has now serviced us outside once (today) and inside once (last month). Very satisfied with his work. Very capable young man, glad to see him eachmonth.

He was a little late but friendly

It’s too early to say how well of a job they did with dealing with our big problem; however, I will say that the expectations they set in their video that explains the “standards of Orkin Points of service,” is a bit of a misconception. The man who came to our house was extremely friendly and courteous.Orkin portrays the image of a man who looks through all the nooks and crannies of your house, including attic, all rooms, and closets. This was not the case. The man asked where we saw the problem, and then said that’s where the problem must be. He saw some spots that needed to be sealed up, and added “this is your homework.”Now, in the video I mentioned, you’ll see the Orkin cartoon man walking around dusting down cobwebs or bees nest on the outside of your house. You will also see him with a caulk gun sealing up problem areas, not explaining that this is homework for the homeowner that just paid him. The Orkin brand also sells on the fact that they will take care of, “15 other pests that are common.” Part of that list was earwigs. When I mentioned that I saw an earwig in my master bathroom, the man merely chalked that off to not a big deal. When booking the appointment and giving an credit card for record the operator mentioned that anytime we see bugs in the house and need a respray to, “not hesitate to call.” The man that showed up to the house said, “it’s completely normal to see bugs after we treat, give it time.”I’m not at all faulting the man for the job he did, he did relay a sense of confidence that our bug problem will be solved. My complaint is directed towards the Orkin company for creating such a false sense of what will take place in your home on your visits. My wife and I chose Orkin (being of the hide prices in the area) because of what they propagandized as what to expect. I want to reiterate, that this service took place today, and when the root of the problem is eradicated, we’ll add 1 more star to make it 4.

Called 5/19 and got a appointment the next day ... came out on time sprayed the whole house and yard 🤞 Now we wait and pray it works cause I cant deal with these bugs that came with this new house .🤮 Ill update once everything starts working.... VERY PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, PROFICIENT!
